The woman manning the front desk was rude, condescending and lazy. Not once did she get off her butt to come towards any of the areas I was making inquiries. I ended up buying a pair because I like the design, but I regret that. The prescription is incorrect and I brought it back to her and she asked me some stupid questions, but wouldn't take a look at the prescription strength. I brought it to Costco and they tested it and it's completely off. I won't be bringing the pair back to this store on Adams in Huntington Beach and I would stay away from it, if I was you. I received a customer service feedback email from the company and I gave it a one star everywhere. This person has no business being customer facing. She needs to work by herself and not talk to anybody. This was just over two months ago because she didn't help me now I have to go to another store to get it corrected. Don't waste your time with this Target Optical. read more

Great customer service, was my first time going there, very helpful and respectful staff.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. I was in there to get glasses for my 3 year. I had just gotten her first prescription, and it was my first time ever dealing with optometry, so I had some questions. She was not only incredibly unhelpful, but she was rude and condescending. I left without buying anything, and I don't care how far I have to drive; I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

If you're looking at coming here for anything, think again. The staff here are very arrogant, very disrespectful. They make you feel like they don't care if you give them the business or not. I first had my eye consultation in 2021, and it took me forever to get the right prescription for my contact lens. I don't mind that since I understand that I need to have the best fit for my eyes, but the demeanor of the entire staff at this place is so disgustingly arrogant. They make you feel like you owe them for giving them your business. I didn't want to keep changing optometrists, so I gave them a second chance by coming back in 2022. I made an appointment with Dr. Ngo who stood me up! The staff made excuses for the doctor, very arrogantly at first, but when I flared up and threatened to call corporate on them, she mellowed down. There was a manager named Angela who does not know how to be a manager at all. Very unprofessional. The only reason I did not report this place to corporate is because Dr. Huang reached out to me several times to apologize. I accepted the apology but I feel bad for the people who could possibly waste their time on them, hence this review. read more

Yesterday my brother and I brought our 83-year-old mother in her wheelchair for her eye exam appointment scheduled for noon. We waited for over an hour. When we finally got into see Doctor Helen Huang she was very pleasant. Unfortunately our experience to purchase glasses from the 2 ladies at the front desk was horrible. They were both helping other people which we completely understand however it felt like they were dragging it out to intentionally make us wait. They were just chatting about non related topics and looked at us defiantly. After waiting for over 30 minutes we had to go get lunch for our mother as she was starving by this time. I came back later at 4:30 PM to see the heavy set blonde behind the desk looking at her Tablet. I was the only person in the store and she waited for over a minute to look up and acknowledge me. She said oh,,,, you were here earlier weren't you. Very arrogantly. I handed her the glasses and my mom's prescription and said I would like to order these. My mom just wanted them temporarily and said to fit them to my face. This person said my mom had to be there in order to purchase the glasses. I left the glasses on the counter and walked out and I will never go back again. I read other reviews about this location stating these people were extremely arrogant and felt as if they were doing you a favor by helping you. I couldn't agree more and I will be going to the target optics in Irvine spectrum tomorrow. Is hoping for a better experience there. read more

This place is great. Scheduling appt: You can make an online appointment or call to make an appointment. Doesn't get any easier. Save time and have your insurance information handy when you schedule, but if you forget don't worry you can bring it when you have your appt (just come 10-15 mins early) Check in: easy. Parking is ample and when you walk into target just go to your left and there is a big "optical" sign hanging. Just tell them you have an appointment and fill out three pages of info and done. What I like about this is, I came in half hour early so after checking in, I could go shop in Target to get errands checked off. Dr: I had Dr. Helen Huang and she's a gem. Super friendly and knowledgeable. She explained what she was doing (because I was interested) and I enjoyed learning about the different tests. I'm sure if you're not a nerd like me, you'd still have a pleasant appointment because Dr Huang is very personable. Eye exam took half an hour for glasses and contact fitting. I've never actually had a doctor let me try out different contact lenses to make sure I was comfortable- I really appreciated this. Cost- my insurance covered my eye exam and I only needed to pay for the additional contact fitting. It will vary for others but I actually paid less out of pocket than going to an outside optometrist in the Huntington Beach area. read more

This place is amazing great customer service and Dr. Helen Huang amazing. She answered any questions or concerns I had and even had recommendations. I felt really comfortable being there as opposed to being rushed. Thank you Ladies for all the help. I'm In Love With My New Glasses. Shout out to the receptionist who helped my wife and I with all of our questions and concerns as well. Like I said AMAZING SERVICE! read more

10/10 do not recommend unless it's a last resort. Both times I visited the wait was extremely long and not a warm staff. I came in on 6/16 for an exam. I felt like Dr. Huang rushed and walked me into a pair and brand of contacts that did not work for me. I have always worn Acuvue Oasis for Astigmatism. She said I'd like the "bio" something. Bought it. I tried them and literally took close to 5 hours of trying off and on to get the contact out of my eye. I couldn't take them out every night. It was slick and also felt my eyes were always irritated. My receipt says these were 73.99 a box. This is ridiculous when Costco or even Walmart or 1-800 contacts charges less than $40 per box. I actually have vision insurance and decided to come to this location since my last experience at the Costa Mesa location had been pleasant and easy and they price matched Costco too for the exam and the contacts. This location was not the same. No price marching and super unhelpful. I ended up bringing the contacts back today and returning them and when I went to order the prior brand, was told it was like $150(something) for each box. No price matching. I asked for my prescription and decided to order them online. Found them for $37.99 per box through my Vision Insurance (MES Vision). They did adjust my Ray Ban glasses for no charge and very grateful for them taking their time to do this. They said I can stop in anytime for an adjustment for my actual glasses. So this is good news b/c I'm always at Target! I purchased the Ray Ban glasses close to 2 years ago at the Costa Mesa Target Optical. read more

NEVER EVER go there again - if there was a negative rating I would give them that Went there to have lens replacements done on a pair of glasses that belong to my deceased husband. Wanted to surprise my son and have his dads prescription glasses turned into sunglasses. Well as I'm chatting with the employees there at the counter they assured me "yes this is something we can do". So as they we chatting with me they brought the pair of glasses behind the counter and started to work on them, all while I was telling them how much these glasses met to my son and I. I asked multiple times "are you sure this can be done here" "will you be able to change out the lens with out braking the frames". Oh course we can - no problem........ Well yes there was a problem she not only broke the frame but tried to hide it Once I realized she broke them she then tried to cover it up by ...... "why don't you go buy some crazy glue and just glue it back together". Needless to say I left there in tears and will by NEVER EVER go back to those incompetent morons. read more

I've never had an optometrist pin point everything with my vision. So fast and accurately. Dr Huang was so great I brought my wife there today and she was equally if not more impressed. I can't wait to see clearly again. We're seeing my in-laws now too. Thank you fit such great service! We might be moving but we will be back for our yearly checks ups. read more

Doctor was super nice, staff seemed great until they ghosted me. Called and left messages, never got a call back. When I did get a hold of them and explained what happened, no apologies or explanation. I like to feel like my doctors are on my side and a part of my team you know, like they care about you. They must not care about me. I'll try somewhere else. If you can get to actually do an appointment, i'm sure it will be great, just don't expect much else. read more

Dr. Huang is a GEM! Not only was my appointment quick and easy, but she went above and beyond when I forgot to pack an extra set of lenses before my trip. I called her to see what she recommended I do and she offered to ship me a spare set for FREE! I literally got them the next day. She absolutely did not have to do that and she did without hesitation! I will continue to go back to her and tell my friends and family to do the same! Thank you Dr. Huang! read more

Excellent experience. Entire staff was very helpful. Dr. Huang did a great job to get me the glasses that suited me best.
