With that said, Pearle Vision Lewisville made the choice to not refund my money. This franchise business owner has made the choice to keep the frames I purchased and the $1,198 I paid for them. Customer service is good, but in my opinion, their way of doing business is unethical. That's okay... because vengeance is not mine. I am sure this location needs the $1,198 more than I do. I am a true believer in sowing and reaping. Just as this business owner has sown a dishonest profit, therefore will reap a well-deserved loss.

The woman behind the desk used hand sanitizer and a mask and took my temperature using a no-contact thermometer. I waited for about two minutes after arriving to be taken back. She also walked me through different contact lenses and made sure I had the right pair. I know this review is long overdue, but honestly--that says more about the impact Dr. Brecheen has…read morehad on our lives than anything else. Even a year later, I still feel the need to say thank you. My son, from the very beginning, was intuitive and quick to comprehend--analytical, thoughtful, and eager to do his best. Starting in early elementary school, we began noticing a gap between what he *understood* and what he could *produce*. His comprehension was high, but his work was slow, and something just didn't add up. Like many parents, I assumed it might be focus, effort, or just something he would grow out of. I was referred to Dr. Brecheen by another mom who had gone through something very similar with her own daughter and recognized the same signs in my son. Dr. Brecheen was the first person to look deeper and ask the right questions. Through his testing, he identified underlying vision issues that were affecting how my son's eyes worked together--issues that a traditional eye exam would not catch and that many professionals in the school system don't even recognize as a diagnosable condition with a real, solvable path forward. Finally, we had a real answer. Not a label, not a guess--an actual, fixable problem. What meant just as much was the confidence Dr. Brecheen and his team had in the plan. From the very beginning, they didn't just give us answers--they gave us reassurance. His team shows up with genuine care, heart, and a shared commitment to each patient's success, and that support became exactly what we needed to stay consistent and trust the process. We committed to the vision therapy program, and over the course of about a year, everything began to change. What once took so much effort became natural. His speed improved, his confidence grew, and the frustration we used to face during homework simply disappeared. The results have been incredible. He's now thriving in all subjects and for the first time, truly enjoying reading. His teachers no longer question his pace or focus--in fact, he's now one of the first to finish. Watching that transformation as a parent is something I can't fully put into words. Dr. Brecheen doesn't just check your eyes--he changes the way your child experiences the world. I am beyond grateful for what he has done for my son and for our family. If you feel like something isn't adding up with your child's performance, even when they're clearly capable--this is the place to go.

It's obvious that he truly loves what he does. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. I started taking my son to see him years ago for regular eye exams and new glasses. Also, I thought he needed vision therapy. As it turns out, he did not but I did. I've been doing vision therapy for nearly 3 years with my therapist Cathy (most people wouldn't need to go that long but I'm a special case!) And, it has absolutely changed my life. Since I was an infant my world was flat - until now. I actually have depth perception which I always thought was impossible. The therapy can help adults as well as kids. And I'm living proof that its never too late. I wish I could give them 100 stars because 5 just isn't enough!
