It was horrible. The brand manager had horrible intentions after she discovered that the wrong glasses were sent to the store for me. I will not assume that race was an issue for her.
First, the brand manager told me that because I am diabetic that it is my eyes fault that the glasses did not work. This is in light of me telling her that my eyes are fine, and that I know how my prescription should work. Then this brand manager (who's name I will not say, but who's business card purposely leaves her last name unknown ) says to me that after three days of wearing this wrong prescription, then my faulty eyes would adjust if I just walk out of the store with the glasses and give the glasses 3 days of adjusting to my eyes. This woman who works for MyEyeLab was so condescending and uneducated that it was disgusting. She literally said that it was my eyes fault, and my medical conditioning that was to blame, instead of just admitting that the wrong prescription was delivered to the store.
This "brand manager" then went on to literally beg me to "please just take the glasses (for me she says ), please just take the glasses for me ( as if I knew her, or owed her a favor to accept someone else's prescription ). I thought to myself, perhaps she does think that people of my demographic have baby brains. How else could she muster up the lack of logic as to say this ? It was like being in a conversation with a person who somehow got through life on other factors other than merit. She clearly does not understand consequence or have pride in reputation or accountability.
The brand manager then went on to say that it's probably my hypertension and again that I should leave the store with eyeglasses that (I clearly 6 times have stated) are not my glasses. Then five times over three days the brand manager tried without cease to get me to be further inconvenience myself by trying to force me to re-schedule an eye exam at MyEyeLab's convenience. I refused because America's Best is excellent and the only reason I went to MyEyeLab is because they were open on a Sunday.
So after returning to the store four times after telling the brand manager 5 times that I wanted a refund, I brought my family to the store to assist, and we asked for the name of the district manager. LISA refused to give us the name of the district manager for MyEyeLab. She literally says " I do not give out my district manager's name ". At this point, I am now aware that this person was given the position of brand manager, because there is no way that it was earned - in light of her rude and condescending and unprofessional mistreatment of me.
Then the brand manager said that she did not know how to do a refund and it's too hard to do refunds. WOW ? Then she said that refunds are sensitive topics for her corporate office and refunds (as she is now whispering ) had to be handled very carefully ( as if I were sneaking and asking her to do something wrong because I was never given glasses and wanted my money that I paid two weeks prior ). In my return to the store - this brand manager sat in front of me and said nothing for 14 minutes in an attempt to make me feel uncomfortable ( just naturally rude and now I'm thinking, yeah maybe it is because of my demographic ) as I had yet for a seventh time requested a refund.
Then after 11 phone calls and all of those visits to the store, I called again, now being told that I would finally receive a refund only to be told when I arrived that their computer wouldn't allow a refund. At this point I have wasted 6 total hours at the Lewisville, Texas store (Located in: Vista Ridge Village
Address: 2325 S Stemmons Fwy #301A, Lewisville, TX 75067 ) with MyEyeLab wasting my time and insulting me. Finally I was lied to and told that a check would come to me in the mail for a partial refund and the check never did come because of course, LISA (with no last name) was perhaps lying to me to get me out of the store.
So I was dis serviced, mistreated, lied to, inconvenienced, smirked at, and stolen from. My over $128 dollars was basically stolen as no glasses have ever been given to me, no concern what-so-ever was ever shown to me by LISA and I was denied the name of her district manager so that I could not report her.
This manager was so so so so so rude and condescending, and grinned the entire time over stealing my money. I never left the store with any glasses ever.
Thankfully there is an awesome eyeglass provider directly across the street from this atrocious business MyEyeLab. I LOVE AMERICA'S BEST. AMERICA'S BEST IS SO AWESOME. DO NOT EVER USE MyEyeLab. The doctor at MyEyeLab is only there one day out of the week while AMERICA'S BEST is always professional and accountable. read more
