Some people (myself included) often think of choosing a new pair of glasses as a "chore" more than anything else. That was not the case this year, when we went to the Flower Mound Lenscrafters. The store in itself is impressive - great selection, clean, and well organized. But it was the Assistant Manager Helene who turned this annual "chore" into a "pleasure." Helene is both kind and knowledgeable. She is informed about her products, and she takes pride in what she does. You can tell that Helene genuinely cares about her customers, and that is rare in today's society. I spent a lot of time looking into new glasses and ended up choosing LensCrafters in Flower Mound. Reviews were a big reason for my decision, and Debbie was always mentioned in a great light. I was so happy when she helped me out! She quickly got to work figuring out the perfect frame for me. She brought different frames to try, noting what I didn't like about each one, and she was super knowledgeable about what was available in the store. Thanks to her, I found the perfect frame. Then, it was time for the progressive lenses. Debbie made this part so much easier than I expected. She knew her product line inside and out and explained everything so well. She also made sure to get accurate measurements. Her friendly and open attitude, along with her clear desire to give excellent customer service, made me feel like I had struck gold when I left the store. read more

I stopped in to get my daughter's glasses adjusted. Wendy stepped away to help us. She let us know that they adjust glasses from anywhere. Then when a customer walked in, she proceeded to tell my 12 year old, shy daughter to "hurry up, I have customers coming in." So, great customer service. This LensCrafters locations does not have enough help. It takes approximately 45 minutes to wait on a customer for glasses. I expect to wait about that long, per person, if others are ahead of me. So I am being waited on with another person, trying to accommodate us both. But when a man comes up and decides, he wants to cut in to pick up glasses, Wendy waits on him. Why? She is great, she's waited on me for years, but she should not have done that. She should have told him, she already has 2 customers and he will be after the person behind me! This man saw me and the person behind me, but he felt entitled. He should not have done that. read more

Have a flight out today, and of course the arm off my glasses broke. I didn't buy them at this store, but I stopped to see if they could fix. I didn't even look at the time, but the store was closed, however, a woman opened the door and said she would try to help. My initial visit was pleasant with Helene. However when I picked out the frames, none of them actually looked at the fitting very well. Most importantly the length. When it was time to pick up the glasses, it was Wendy. She used their heater and a metal plier to bend the frame right close to the glass. I came home and notes that her metal device has caused permanent dents on both sides of my brand new Ray ban frame. I immediately sent Helene pictures. She said she would forward them to the staff as she was on vacation. No phone calls, no apology to say sorry we damaged your glasses and we will replace them. As I wore them my wife immediately noticed that they are not long enough and the frame starts to curve even before reaching my ears. When I went back, again saw Wendy. Even before I could finish explaining she interrupted and said she can fix them. Hence I told her you bending them is not going to make them longer. She agreed for replacement. The experience however, was negative as she was passive aggressive from this point on words. When the new pair was ready(the first one was ready in about a week), so I waited a good 12 days because it was still not the date they told me they would be ready by. I happened to be in flower mound, so I called them, and to my surprise they were ready for pick up, but I had received no phone calls. I will not be returning to this LensCrafters again. read more

I had a really great experience here. There was no wait even though it was in an afternoon. They have a pretty large selection of styles of glasses. As soon as my insurance was squared away they showed the options that were covered and the ones I would have to pay extra for. They also went though the various types of glasses and lenses and all the different benefits. They have a neat way of measuring that the lens will fit and once I received my glasses it did fit. You can either pick them up or have them shipped, I went with the shipping option and I had them one day before it was scheduled to be delivered. The only drawback was that they didn't send me a tracking number even though they said they would. read more

Did a walk in for an eye exam and ordered two sets of glasses from Debbie. She was extremely helpful and I got fitted for prescription day glasses (Burberry) and sunglasses (Tiffany). Location is easy in and out, with lots of parking. The store has lots of frame options. Also, a great place for regular sunglasses, who knew. My Tiffany frames were sunglass frames that they switched out for prescription! Sweet! Everyone in the store was friendly and knowledgeable about fitting them right on your face. Usually I dont write reviews but worst customer service ever. Sale associate was pretty alright but the store manager was rude and ridiculous. Went to this location due to manufacture defect with the letter from manufacturer stating that I can exchange to another frame upto 300 dollars but the store manager refused and she needs to talk to her manager. If she is the sotre manager who else she needs to talk to? I know for a fact they will receive the credit from the manufacturer but why she has to consult with someone else? Also, she rip apart the labeling of the frame as well. It was near by my house thats why I went to this premises but wont be back ever again. read more

got in and out pretty quick and everybody was friendly. ordered glasses same day from somewhere else and when I got them something was wrong. had them checked to make sure they were correct according to my prescription. they were so I called to see if the could help me and they never returned my call. Wendy is rude, condescending, and argumentative. I recently purchased progressives at this store from an extremely nice salesperson (from Spain). However, after a week of wear, I returned to the store to complain of distortion and focusing issues with the glasses, and at this point met with Wendy (the manager, from what I could tell). She was argumentative from the outset, asserting that I didn't have the problems I was stating. Taking my glasses and arguing with me that I wasn't seeing what said, she quickly looks through them she blankly asserts "no, there is no distortion." Then calling another employee over, "see, there isn't any distortion at all." I interjected to correct - "with all due respect, I do see distortion when I look through these frames with my eyes." After Wendy hand the matter over to the assistant, we discover that the lenses were in fact flawed (the progressive transition point was at an incorrect location in the frames with respect to my eyes), causing the distortion and focusing issues. The lenses were re-ordered, and in another week (beginning week 4) the frames were ready, and were much better! BUT NOW - the lenses were loose inside the frames, as if they had been cut wrong and were too small from the frames, causing crackling like a set of cheap children's toys. Not something you'd expect for $1500, and not even what they felt like before having them "fixed." Of course, Wendy worked with me again (I wished I could avoid working with her) and argued with me again that they were just fine, stating that "as long as they don't pop out they are fine" at which point she man-handled the frames like a pugilist, causing the lenses to easily pop out. "See how hard that was?" she said. But I pressed on with my concern, being cognoscente of the 30-day guarantee period quickly approaching its end. Wendy proceeded to *sigh* heavily, slightly pounding the table, and in a louder tone "so, what do you want to do!?" Okay, this wasn't going anywhere. So I traveled across town to the downtown Dallas location (Turtle Creek Village) and had the nicest girl in the world easily fix them in about 3 minutes - for free (why didn't Wendy offer this easy fix?). Avoid Wendy in Flower Mound. Make the trip to Turtle Creek Village. read more

Broke my glasses today and would have paid anything to get a pair of frames that fit my lens. Went to this place at 7:45 pm (door hours say it is opened till 8) but the door was locked. Some woman inside with dark hair and a plaid shirt must have seen me coming because she was heading for the back (to hide, I'm sure). I went to my car to write a complaint to the corp office and at 8 minutes to 8 this place was dark as a tomb. How do losers like this stay in business? read more

Had a fairly decent experience picking out my glasses. Picked up my glasses and quickly realized they were not correct. Took my glasses in to get adjusted and the optician spoke to me in a condescending tone. I was told I need to see the eye doctor again. I will be out of town most of this month so I was worried about the 30 day guarantee. I asked about what would happen if I got the new glasses back after the 30 days and they still weren't correct and she replied "are you somebody who usually has to send them back multiple times?" Not the way you speak to a customer and definitely not the way you speak to someone who is only concerned because they just spent 900 dollars on a new pair of glasses. read more

I'm only giving them three stars for their extensive collection of eyewear. However, that's all they are good for as their customer service is horrendous. I walked in and it took 10 min for someone to approach me. By that time, I had already chosen a few frames I liked and wanted to know what sizes they were offered in, but all she cares about was telling me about the LensCrafters company. Lady, I don't care. Then she refused to check sizes saying she would need to see my RX first. Then she proceeded to ask me what I did for a living. HOW is that pertinent to the glasses I KNOW I want?! After she checked a couple of glasses for me, another lady walked in to pick hers up. She chose to help her, so my daughter and I left. I went to Pearle Vision across the street where they were MORE than helpful and my husband I purchased 3 pairs of designer glasses. However, to top it off, when I got across the street I realized that she still had my RX. I ran back over to get it and walked in to her STILL helping the same lady and she said "you left it over there on the counter." Excuse me? *I* didn't leave my RX anywhere, YOU took it from me! I was appalled. I would never choose this LensCrafters for my glasses. The family owned Pearle Vision across the street was AMAZING and even stayed an hour late to help my husband and I choose the absolute best glasses. They have ALL the same brands and can even special order different sizes that LensCrafters can't. read more

I had a really disappointing experience with this store manager. I had gone in on a Monday to get an adjustment on my frames. I had not purchased them at LensCrafters. I asked the manager on duty if I could get my frames adjusted since I purchased my frames in Dallas at Warby Parker. Out of convenience I stopped in there with my oldest daughter to get my frames adjusted. I had a babysitter at home with the other 3 small children. It is challenging to drive to Dallas for a glasses adjustment. The young man was super friendly and accommodating. We had a great conversation while he adjusted my frames. I took them home to wear after I took out my contacts that evening. When I put the frames on I could not see out of the lenses. They had heat fractures from the adjustment. I went into Lens Crafters the next morning and asked to speak to the district manager. She looked at my glasses and said, "yes those are heat fractures in the lenses". "But you can't prove it happened at this store". Well, I had 3 out of 4 of my small children with me. I explained, I am sorry I came here out of convenience. BIG mistake in going there! And the young man did not tell me ahead of time "we are not responsible if I fracture your lenses". I do understand that.. but the fact this general manager would not even take responsibility for the problem. And it clearly happened there at their store. Also, I cried since these are new lenses/glasses and I can't see without them. This manager did not care, she was cold and plain rude. So, she says it was Warby Parker's problem and to call them. So, I called them and the customer service was amazing! They apologized for the way this lady had treated me. They did not ask many questions and said we will replace them since you only bought them a few months ago. It is sad when these big corporations do not care about the people. I would NOT step foot in this place. Go to Warby Parker! They are amazing and buying a pair of glasses will give another person in need a pair of glasses. read more
