I had a great experience with Ginger. She is always kind and helpful. She doesn't rush me when picking out new glasses and she answers all of my questions. read more

I stopped in today with my wife to get the glasses she bought here adjusted. I don't know if they do free adjustments for everyone for all frames, but they definitely do them here. Quick, easy, friendly. It was a pleasure to watch. I'm going to be needing my own eye exam soon enough, I'll be here. [Review 10648 overall, 416 of 2019.] read more

Target Optical - Target Optical in the SuperTarget, Steele Creek, Charlotte NC - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Waited on phone 22 minutes to schedule appointment for my husband and myself when they just hang up on me. I called back asked for Mgr. Male but I ran to another disappointment. She found it "funny" and "laughed" on my complaint. I told her this is not funny to me at all! She stated: I am laughing b/c I know how to address this problem b/c phone didn't ring at all this morning!" She had only 2 employees in and it wouldn't be hard nor funny to find out which one of them answered my call!!! I told her I am taking my business elsewhere she replied: "you do mam what you have to!" She also said they do not have regional manager that I could talk to. I hope he or she reads this review!! read more

Target Optical - Length of phone to unsuccessfully make appointment. - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

This was such an awesome experience. I got to the Target a little before 6pm - so it was arguably busy... both in the target and the optical section. But i had the easiest most laid back experience ever. The office setup can be a little confusing because they have two entrances. I chose to enter through the Target store- which forced me into the back to register for my appointment. To be fair- the appointment had a factory vibe to it- I was quickly screen and seen by two people - I barely met and an optometrist - that barely spoke but it was still inviting. He went over my prescription and took me thru a painless eye exam. The fun part- I did not have to have those ridiculous blinding eye drops - or pay extra to not have the blinding eye drops. They weren't there and it was not apart of the appointment. Made me wonder if they should be in the first place... do I really need my eyes dilated? I really enjoyed selecting new frames from The New Day line. I enjoy the line for apparel because of its trendy fast fashion access- and now I can match frames to my delightful day. I am pleased and look forward to using my 2020 vision benefits at this location. read more

I have went here back in 2010. Everything seem so expensive back then that I decided to go elsewhere for awhile. Well I learn my lesson. I called today to make the same day appt.. I spoke to Laura. Boy was she sweet. I made the appt for exam for both contacts and glasses. She told me it will range anywhere from $120 to $150 for both and asked if it was ok. I thought it's funny so I replied with, "I didn't know we can negotiate?!!?" We both laugh. She asked if I have insurance. I stated I'm not sure if it covers vision. She stated she will find out and call me back.. Ok.. Done deal. She called me back to confirm. Yes I can use my insurance for some discount and can use my car insurance also for 20% off either one. Dr. Smith was very sweet when I arrived for my exam. I didn't realized so much stuffs goes into getting an exam for contacts. And she took the time to dumb it down and explained to me. I appreciated that. All and all. I realized this is a place I trust.. Yes I'm overloaded with info but I have a better understanding on why I should keep going back. Can't wait for my glasses and contacts to come in. And with all the discounts and my red card savings. I paid $15 for my exam. And about $450 for a year supply contacts and a new pair of Oakley glasses with the top of the line lenses. Cool beans! read more

Mel and Nick are wonderful, as is the entire team. My boys and I have been going here for about four years and have never had a problem with anything. The glasses are excellent quality, prices are reasonable, and the customer service is TOP NOTCH! We won't go anywhere else. read more

Fantastic experience every time I go to Target Optical! Great selection of frames, knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful associates, convenient hours and quick delivery. Have ordered both contacts and glasses from them! read more

Dr Smith is extremely patient and thorough. She takes the time to get the prescription just right. I was also very impressed with the service up front who helped me pick my frames. Nick was fantastic and was extremely helpful assisting me with a style selection that fit my face well. He is very friendly and personable. I highly Recommend Target Optical at Rivergate. I have been going there for years and they keep getting better. The gentleman who checks in customers is also excellent. He is always friendly, kind and helpful! read more

Staff fails to order your supplies, doesn't notify you they sold your prescription to others. Simply says "I did my job, no way to determine the why." This location offers to customer service and has no idea how to solve a problem. The doctor fails to call in referrals. This office simply blames other people for their short fails. This office takes no responsibility for its customers quite frankly doesn't care. I wish I would have went some place else for a basic contact fitting. read more

I needed to get glasses last year. Made an appointment with them and they never mention that there's two companies that operate out of this location. So if you can only go on a certain day and the company that you originally saw isn't in that day you can't go. I came by to pick up some sample contact lenses they gave me the wrong ones, I come back to pick them up they only give me one contact lens saying that yes there's two in the package. I have gone back five times to try to get my prescription adjusted for contacts, and they have been wrong every single time. I'm trying one final time to go in and nobody picks up the phone I have been calling for weeks and the phone just continues to ring. They are nice when I go in always pleasant but the services rendered have just been under par unfortunately. read more

I was blown away. Every last person in this practice is a gem. Helpful and patient with a middle-aged dude trying to use contact lenses for the first time. I was a little doubtful about going to a "chain". I had bad experiences at local eye care chains. The Dr's here all have huge experience. The front staff fantastic. And that one guy- whatta Trip! read more

I love the selection of glasses at Target Optical. I had my eyes examined elsewhere but I knew I wanted to check out what Target had to offer in the eyewear selection and they didn't disappoint. Eyeglasses are a big purchase so it took me awhile to make my final selection. Jordan was super helpful and patient with me as I was torn between two pair of Ray-Ban. She asked me if I would like her opinion and I did. I couldn't be happier with my glasses. They also arrived super fast, less than 7 days! Again, super happy and the customer service can't be beat! read more

Easy. As. Pie. I went another eye place and it took forever, they took expensive photos that weren't covered and were charging ridiculous prices for regular frames. I took my own RX over to target and placed an order for glasses in less than 20 min. My glasses were in hand in 5 days! Now that's what I call easy! read more

The lenses provided by Target Optical are awful. Within 3 months, they had stress creases and in less than 5 months, they had ameoba-like bubbles inside both lenses. You have to buy a separate warranty to guarantee their work otherwise they don't cover terrible craftmanship. I am very disappointed with the quality. I would not recommend. I've had glasses that last 3 years. The lenses from Target didn't even make it to one. read more

This must have been Target's best kept secret. WoW! From making the appointment and my first visit there, everything was simply delightful. The doctor was people-oriented and explained my eye prescription whereas I fully understood. I was assisted with friendly patience and professionalism while I chose my frames. My glasses arrived within 4 days! The fit was perfect! I was wholeheartedly pleased. I have already recommended family and friends to try Target Optical!! read more

I had a great experience here!!! Had a complete eye exam for glasses and contacts and I have an astigmatism so it was $159. The guy at the desk was so nice and friendly and so was Dr. Kettleson-Smith. She is the sweetest thing ever and she's very knowledgeable. Great doctor. I briefly looked and the glasses but even at 50% of lenses I thought they were a bit prices. I found a place who does a complete pair for $95 and I ordered my contacts online at lens.com because they were WAY cheaper. But other than that, I would go back for another eye exam any day!!!! read more

Love this place. Always have appointments. I I was in and out in ten minutes including getting frames fitted. Love the prices and all the discounts. Thanks Target! read more

Well as soon as I get done with chewing out blue cross about this run around I'll be back here to give ya the full story. For now let's just say after making an appointment two weeks ago and getting no less than seven emails n texts reminders dr smith's Gomer tells me we don't take your insurance discount. You mean the one I put down in your appointment app?? read more

I called on my day off and not only did they get me in within 20 minutes. Dr. Smith was wonderful and helpful. The sales associates did not bully you or push you into a decision. They asked what you need and respect your answers rather than trying to make extra sales. I will definitely be returning. read more

Dr. Smith is wonderful and thorough. She took a great deal of time with me to explain the various optics of contact lenses and how these variances can impact my vision. Her technician was friendly, professional and did not push anything on me. Regardless, I felt that I received a thorough eye exam and walked away with valuable knowledge about my vision. She will definitely become our family optometrist. read more

I would give 0 if I could. The male eye doctor there is horrible. He just sits there and does not want to do his job. We were told to bring our son there and so was another mom, we were both turned away. We both made an appointment. That was no problem at all. Then we come back and are turned away. He is condescending and rude, even during adult exams. Even the lady checking us in didn't say anything back when I brought up his demeanor because you could tell he gets complaints regularly. I used to love target for my optical needs. But I'll be going elsewhere for future needs. There has got to be more optometrists to choose from in Charlotte than to settle for this guy. read more

My first time to this Dr. I called yesterday and they were able to get me in today. Dr. Smith is truly a doctor with a wonderful disposition and obviously very knowledgeable. She actively listened to me and was very forth coming with valuable information regarding my eyesight and the contacts that I needed...as to where my previous Dr was already moving on to his next patient while he was examining me! So annoyingly frustrating. I had actually given up on finding an eye doctor that I could trust, hence the reason I went to Target Optical, thinking it wasn't going to matter anyway so at least I could save some $. I must say I am pleasantly surprised and as long as she is working out of this facility, she will be my eye doctor going forward. Oh, and her assistant Tripp...is equally as awesome ! read more

Extremely disappointed in the customer service aspect of this business. The doctor might be great, but I ended up not seeing him due to the treatment of 2 representatives. Their recording advised my call would be returned within 1 hour. It was not returned for 2 days. I was not able to call him back, but did receive a call later in the week to confirm my appointment. . I tried to ask further questions about the message and insurance but he rushed me off the phone sounding annoyed and distracted. When I arrived for my appointment I needed further clarification on insurance and then asked how much contacts would be and he said- you will have to "ask them" pointing up front. He then proceeded to insinuate that any issue or misunderstanding with how things work was my fault . . He wanted to make it clear that the doctors office and target optical was separate. Any misunderstanding needs to be recognized and taken responsibility for by the representatives. I recommend further training in empathy, acknowledgement of customers concerns and better communication within the 2 offices. If you are going to be in partnership, you must work together. It was Not about the insurance- it was how I was treated. Very rude and condescending. read more

This was too easy. I called this morning to ask about an eyeglass exam. Laura said, "How about an hour from now?" Great! Dr. Smith took me in for the exam, and it was quick, professional, accurate, comfortable, friendly. Did I mention it cost $30 less than everybody else quoted? Great service and really nice people. Highly recommended. read more

I've always used Dr. Smith and she is the best, hands down. however today was the only day i was free and had to see a different provider at this location. My experience was disappointing to say the least. The front assistant was super sweet and friendly and things were going well until i was called back to the room. The Dr., DR. CONLAN to be exact, huffed and puffed the whole time when it was taking me too much time to find my prescription strength. With Dr. smith she was always so patient and told me to not rush and made sure she got it right. this Dr. was arrogant and when i asked questions he was not helpful, i could've gotten the answers off google if i knew it would've been that much of an issue . i was getting contacts for the first time he put them in my eyes and said okay the lady out front will show you how to take them out and that will be an extra 20$! SO.... i paid the assistant then, the target employee, not apart of the optical office, "trained" me by handing me a iPad with a 3 minute video and then her training consisted of "NO , try again", "stop, that's not right watch the video again", and " if you cant do this, i cant do it for you so you will just have to wait for a Dr. to be available to remove them from your eyes". please note i was not complaining i was simply taking my time and trying to figure it out through a 3 minutes crash course that cost me 20$. Dr. Conlan is arrogant and i will be never participate in ever giving him another dime. As a student in healthcare I have learned a valuable lesson in how to NOT speak to my patients and how to NOT teach them/ answer their questions. read more
