    Trying on my new Michael Kors frames.  These are keepers!

    I am a long time patient of Dr. Sheffer. He is extremely knowledgeable and is able to answer all my questions. I will continue to see him as my ophthalmologist. HOWEVER, on yesterday I went in to pick up new glasses that I was told were ready. These were transition lenses put into new frames. I was assisted by the same tall young man that helped me pick the frames out initially. I watched him through the mirror, walk pass me a few times before he came over to help. He never greeted me. He just asked for my name. When he handed the glasses to me, he asked me to try them on. I immediately realized I could not see out of them. The prescription was placed so far at the bottom of the lenses that I'd have to raise the glasses or tilt my head upward and back just to see out of them. I explained this to the young man. He tried his best to be patient but he seemed annoyed and was adamant that I wasn't holding them correctly to see out of them. (As if I'm supposed to adjust any reading material to accommodate the glasses' defect). Then I remembered when I was seen by him, he helped me pick them out but when I was seated he never asked me to put them on and make marks on them to gauge where my eye level is so the prescription would be placed correctly. I reminded him of that. So he reached for a marker, placed the measurements on the lenses asked me to remove them. He said they'd have to redo the lenses and I'd have to come back in 2 weeks or so to pick them up again. A simple, I apologize for my error or even the error would have been appreciated. The fact that he was so condescending in the way he assumed I was doing something wrong since I couldn't see out of them and it couldn't possibly be an error on his part. Then to find out the prescription wasn't filled correctly showed poor customer service in my opinion. If it wasn't for the excellent service I received from Dr Sheffer and the rest of the staff there over the years, I'd never return. This young man needs coaching. There are hundreds of optometrist available to SELL glasses and when a loyal customer patronizes your establishment it should be appreciated. Without customers your business could turn into a thing of the past. I hope he reads this review and works to self improvement.

    Update: I went back again after they messed up my frames and ordered the wrong size lenses bc they said they got the right ones this time. Nope. Doesn't fit again and wastes more of my time and gives me back my glasses with a bunch of HAIR STUCK IN BETWEEN THE LENSES AND THE FRAMES WTF!!! Disgusting... Never ever come here. Got a refund and going somewhere else.

    I prefer this location over the uptown one. Parking is free and easy and directly behind the building. This location also has a great variety of frames and friendly staff. I was helped by Victoria and she was awesome! She answered all my questions about everything I had and even helped narrow down my selection of eyeglasses and sunglasses to purchase. This will be by second year coming here and will continue going back to this location.

The store itself at Atherton Mill is beautiful -- clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed. I always appreciate the natural wood finishes, skylights, and the clever way they merchandise the frames. Everything feels modern and welcoming. My one small disappointment after moving to North Carolina from the Bay Area was the limited availability of low-bridge frames. In California, those options were plentiful, so I came in with the same expectation here and it wasn't quite met. Hopefully that continues to improve over time, because representation in fit options really matters. That said, the customer service has always been excellent. I never have to wait very long, the staff is professional, and the environment is consistently pleasant. Another bonus is the location. Atherton Mill is in a great area with plenty to do while you wait -- there's shopping, coffee, and places to browse. You can easily spend a little time window shopping at nearby spots like Lululemon, West Elm, or Anthropologie, which makes the visit feel less like an errand and more like part of your day. One practical tip: Parking at Atherton Mill can be a bit challenging, especially during busy times since there are several restaurants and retail stores in the area. Just be patient -- you'll find a spot. Overall, I truly value the reliability and customer care Warby Parker provides. Great service, beautiful stores, and dependable support wherever you are.

We were recommended to come to Warby Parker at Atherton Mill, 2000 South Blvd. First, the staff was very professional and welcoming . and Ms. Licensed Optician Lily H came to us and offered assistance sincerely. She is so awesome, she fixed the damages on the eyeglass frame on the spot after 20 minutes. She is very friendly and we asked to offer a fee and she told us that it was at NO COST to us. My friend got her eyeglasses back joyfully as she could see now as the eyeglasses was fixed just like NO accident happened . Thank you so much for the Optician Lily H and she offered a big help which meant so much for others. Kuda to Lily and we would like the Warby Parker recognized her services offered to customers without reservation. Thank you for Warby Parker, and especially for Lily H, the Licensed Optician. It's located upstairs in a large space decorated like a boutique. They have cute and quirky decorations that really liven the place up. There's a small waiting area where you can watch TV while you wait except that I've never had to wait in the five years I've been coming here. Dr. Dryer does a fantastic job with remembering details about her patient's lives and makes great conversation. She's very friendly and personable throughout the appointment. Her mom Lana is at the front desk and helps with all the paper work and finding frames. They do a great job and explain the purpose of each test performed. I feel lucky to have found such a great eye doctor!

On my first visit with autarchic, they did a thorough eye exam where they explained the purpose of each test. Then they fitted me for contact lenses. I particularly liked how they walked me through putting them in and taking them out multiple times before I left. While i struggled a little at first, their instructions are now second nature and I can insert my contacts quickly on the first try (as long as I dont blink them out first. Since my visit, they helped me order a year supply of contacts over the phone. I left a message and they quickly responded. The shop itself is eclectic and cute with a very boutique feel. You don't ever feel like they are churning customers. The visit was very personalized and relaxed.

There are some other ladies in the office who come across as abrupt, rude and just generally unhappy people. No warm fuzzy going with them at all. The nurse who takes you back to the room is nice enough BUT she is usually in such a hurry that when she asks you questions, she lets you get out a few words before she cuts you off and doesn't let you finish your statement. I am no chatty Kathy. I will answer a question succinctly with the information you need. Please don't cut me off. First, how RUDE and second, it ended up taking even more time because I had to repeat what I had started saying and then finish my statement for her to have the information she needed. How did the rudeness save time? It didn't. Thankfully Drs. Fix and Eckel are AWESOME. I am difficult to get a correct lense because I really need a stronger RX than I have but it gives me headaches so we have to work and find what will work for me. I've seen both doctors over the years but have stuck with Dr. fix overall because she has found the knack for getting the right RX strength for me. So ultimately, I keep coming back because the doctors are fantastic but if it weren't for them, I would go somewhere else because the front staff just make me feel like an imposition when I come in. Maybe that is completely unintentional on their part but I'd like them to be aware of how the make people feel. I'm thick skinned but how about the elderly or people going thru tough times...they don't need to be made feel like that. I only took off one star for that.

My primary concerns relate to communication and professionalism at the front desk, particularly involving the office manager at the Rocky River location. During a recent visit, I was given incorrect information regarding my insurance coverage for an eye exam. I was initially told that I would be responsible for a significant out-of-pocket cost, which understandably caused concern and led me to consider canceling or rescheduling my appointment. When I attempted to clarify this with the front desk, I encountered inconsistent explanations and was informed that I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee. This was especially frustrating given that the confusion stemmed from misinformation provided by staff. When discussing the matter with the office manager, I found her demeanor to be dismissive and unprofessional, which further added to the stress of the situation. Fortunately, after speaking with a member of the financial department, I was correctly informed that my exam would be fully covered by insurance. While I ultimately proceeded with the appointment, the experience leading up to it was unnecessarily stressful and could have been avoided with clear and accurate communication. Additionally, I observed what appeared to be staff discussing patients within earshot of others, which raised concerns about professionalism and patient privacy. I do want to acknowledge that several staff members were courteous and helpful. However, my interactions with the office manager significantly impacted my overall impression of this location. I hope leadership addresses these concerns to improve communication, professionalism, and the overall patient experience.
