Well, it was just confirmed that I did not get what I paid for at a different target store four months later.Trying to make glasses then I finally ignored it 42 months.I will head back tomorrow for a refund.. Well, I went in for a refund and tony said, you didn't talk to me and I was the only guy here.Yesterday i'm glad it was on speakerphone when I called from the wellington.Optical, he refuses to give me a refund.He knows nothing about it.He tells me I have the direct cell phone number to corporate.Regional manager does not answer the phone.I left him numerous messages and text messages.I am entitled to a refund since I paid for something.I did not get. I do not have ultra thin lenses.I do not have the ultra dark transition. And the script is off.I also have a warranty on these frames.This has been going back and forth for months.I took the last two months off to take care of my father before he passed.This is very disgustive, the aggressive way that Tony addresses people and talks to people.I'm glad there were clients in there.Hopefully he lost some business today read more

This place is conveniently located in my local Target and I come here all the time! Talk about killing two birds with one stone! I have come here about 3 times now since the tests are typically yearly! I have always seen Dr. Choi (optometrist) and he has always been super conversational with me and kind! He is definitely one of the reasons I come back! He is very professional as well! Not to mention, the front desk staff/ optometry technicians are very nice as well. Came in due to a scratch on my eye. I made an appointment in advance yet still had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. The doctor on staff, Dr. Choi was very rude to my son who was with me. You can tell he is not a kid friendly person. He told him rudely to hush. Also gave him a dirty look when he grabbed candy out the candy jar. I really don't know why you would have an open candy jar out in the open if you don't want people, or better yet kids, taking it. I came in with a specific problem yet he wanted to do an eye exam for my vision. Asked me if I wore contacts and I said no. After I said I couldn't read what was on there, he rudely asked me when I was going to come in to get my vision corrected. I said I wear glasses. He then said oh. That's right, because he never asked if I wore glasses. He also can see that I'm in sunglasses because there's a cut in my eye yet he wanted to do a vision test?! Definitely regret going here for the $89 exam. read more

Went for eye exam early 2022 (February), at the time I was having issues because I had numbness on my face around eyes and I was having difficulty reading, all due to, I found out later in the year MS. I got a prescription for glasses from target. I had the glasses made. When I went to pick up, they felt off. I asked the person assisting about the prescription and I told him I was unable to see close. He told me that the prescription was for driving and looking for afar. I thought it was odd as I was not having issues looking far, when I brought it up the guy was totally condescending and rude. And since my encounter with optometrist there was not any better I left feeling horrible. Fast forward to me going to bascom palmer eye institute to do some studies related to my MS and checking if there is any damage to my optic nerves. Fortunately there is no damage but the prescription I got in February 2022 at target optical is totally different from the one in December 2022 at Bascom institute. Funny how target optical will not hear me out and im still stuck paying for the glasses I got from them and unable to fill the right prescription. Do not go there. read more

Filling out his patient info form, I expressed that I was noticing a glare in my right eye in sunny conditions. The exam lasted less than 30 minutes which didn't seem too odd. I was given a new sample of contacts to try and told that I also had an astigmatism. I'm always concerned when it comes to my eye health, but was not prepared to have a serious conversation about Dr Choi's suggestion that I "just have LASIK". When I asked for more info about his mention of the astigmatism he very nonchalantly said, "it's nothing to really worry about", then wrote my prescription laminate and walked me to the cashier. Last month almost 3 months according to the receipt of my last full exam and the conversation I had with doctor Choi, whom I had finally been able to make an appointment with, I was able to come back to the optical office for a conversation and follow up about the persistent glare/blur that didn't seem to get better. I returned to the doctor, since in all 22 years I have worn corrective lenses, I have never worried that I was wearing the incorrect script or avoiding a possible necessary surgical intervention. When I arrived for my appointment, instead of being ushered into the exam office, the doctor stood in the waiting area, to ask me why I had WAITED SOOOO LONG TO MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. I was shocked. I was also in front of another patient and the rest of the retail staff. Already frustrated with the situation of my eye problem, and now confronted with a doctor who was not at all concerned as to why I had made another appointment to see him, Doctor Choi literally said, "if you need me to take a look and see what's going on, I'm going to need to charge you for another FULL EXAM". I thought I might have significant eye issues that would lead to permanent impairment. I RESPECTFULLY asked that I be given another written copy of the August script, to which the doctor retorted, "didn't you get one in August?". I then left the store. I was absolutely NOT willing to pay even a dirty gummed penny to be treated like I was taking advantage of a service that I paid for IN CASH, without eye insurance. Quite honestly, I was more offended that the issue was not being handled as seriously as it turns out to have been. I have never felt more concerned that the doctors at the Target stores, not just Doctor Choi but one of my original eye care specialists Doctor B. Caruso, were not at all concerned more about the health and preservation of health for my eyes, rather than attempting to bully me into paying for A SECOND EXAM. As it stands, it is the not often that I have no recourse to rescind my payment. My concerns were clearly voiced and quickly dismissed and belittled. I have NEVER had to have two eye exams in a year, let alone within 3 months just to determine my true vision impairment and needs. I'm not disappointed. Im disgusted that I was treated this way. I still have to go back to Dr Mansoir to gain a script once I can actually make out the letters, ANY LETTERS on the chart. Targets a useful company, I've always preferred its service and access to other local commercial retailers and grocers. I have never questioned the professionalism of a physician just because of their location. However, I will NEVER place my trust in another target optical. Both of the doctors that work for the Boynton Beach and Lake Worth locations SPOKE TO EACH OTHER ABOUT MY VOICED CONCERNS. Then they took turns belittling my fears and requests for explanation. I can't see inside my own eye, I need to trust the person who is, is doing it for more than just another $100 and I no longer can. Sooo I'm wearing my broken, back-up glasses until I can see clearly again. Costco is always filled for impromptu appointments. So, I recommend you plan ahead. There's nothing better than expressing your health concerns to a person who's information, explanation and overall attentiveness you trust. There are more than enough lackadaisical titled humans in Florida's vast healthcare system that have either lost their love for what they do or lost their reason to care about the impact they can have on others. If I could give this experience ZERO stars, I would do so. read more

Been coming here 3 years now. Great team of folks. I come but once a year and they all remember me still. They aren't just trying to sell you glasses/contacts.. they try to see how they can make it work for you. I got anti-glare on my glasses for the first time.. and it started to peel. Went back and Kim helped me understand how to properly care for my glasses (she almost sounded like my mother.. lol.. but I felt the 'love') aaand she got them redone in a couple of days and then was able to tweak my plan so that I got warranty on them in case it happened again. My teenage son and I had a very disappointing expereince to say the least. Target Optical on University Drive/Stirling Rd in Davie were unprofessional, had no idea how to process insurance for prescription glasses, store manager kept my son waiting for hours, promised him a six=ze that they never actually had available, changed price for same pair of glasses 4 times within same day, couldnt explain why, misleading advertising for "teen discounts'' they just increase base price to subtract your "discounted" savings. Website reflects "insurance is accepted" but then it doesnt go through unless you call them and wait an hour on hold, after which you guessed it....you get disconnected! Complaints to corporate office takes you on the cyclone ride of your life until they exhaust you. Their sales reps dont understand what they are charging you for, robotic system. We ended up buying same pair at EZ for half price, no hassles, no drama, no games. read more

I went in to check my benefits and make an appointment and was treated so horribly and rudely. If customer service is any indication of treatment I wouldn't let my dog be seen in this location. After asking multiple times in multiple ways what my actual insurance benefits are I was finally given an "estimate" that was still $50-$100 MORE than what my real insurance benefits are! Poor service, poor communication and disgusting behavior. I will be staying with my old eye doctor because they don't have one thing that would be a benefit for my family to switch to them for. read more

This is the home of my eye doc, where I buy my contacts and recently got my glasses too. I love that it is a one-stop-shop. Joe is the super awesome attendant there, and he got me plenty of savings on my contacts which made it a better deal than using my insurance. As for the glasses, he helped walk me through everything and sorted everything out through my vision insurance. I'll be honest, I feel target overall have a limited and expensive amount of frames, and their lenses are pricey too. My glasses would have been well over $350 without my insurance, and they were only target brand frames, nothing fancy. Their lenses would have been roughly $250 by themselves. So as for price I think its pretty over the top, but I love the service I get there, and if I have any problems the doc is right there too and he's great. It's very easy to make an appointment too, you can call, book it online or look at the board at the front of the store to see open spots. Overall a great experience. read more

I absolutely love shopping at target so when it came time to make my eye exam, I figured you couldn't go wrong with target optical. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong. The front staff "optical specialists" are extremely rude and uninformed. I overheard them complaining to customers, to each other about customers and witnessed their curt and rude dialogue while speaking with customers over the phone. They "help" you pick glasses out which basically is you picking them out and then they will give you prices "when they have a minute" and then argue with you about the insurance (which I ended up being right), try to bill your insurance for special pricing when all you had was routine exam and then talk down to me about my coverage and cost owed. I will never return to this target optical. I even dreaded when I went in to pick up my glasses - they never called that they were ready and when I asked what time they closed they said they wouldn't help me after 7 pm (they close at 8). Horrible experience. Do not think you are getting "target standard" service with the people who work here. It is a shame the front staff is so awful because the doctor is really helpful and kind. read more
