My new favorite Optometrist! Just moved into the area this year and found them on Yelp, and they've definitely earned their excellent reputation here. I did need to schedule my eye exam appointment a few days in advance, but it's understandable with their competitive pricing and how much repeat business they must get! They greeted me as soon as I walked in, made me feel welcome throughout, and I never felt rushed like with my last optometrist. Dr. Marc was friendly, funny, thorough and patient, which are exactly the qualities I like in any doctor. His staff who helped me select frames, answered questions about lens coatings and pricing, and took my payment were very helpful and friendly from start to finish, and never once pressured me to buy my lenses or frames from them, tried to upsell me or anything annoying like that. They were only concerned with helping me get what I wanted to get, and leaving with a smile on my face, which I did! I'll definitely be back for my next eye exam. FYI: If you do end up buying glasses from them, their low end/cheap frame selection ($99 with basic single vision lenses included, so essentially $30 frames) is a bit limited (though I did find a couple that I liked), but they can have them ready in just 2-3 business days since they have a lab on premises, which is pretty convenient. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Crystal Clear Optical. Being new to the Lake Worth/Boynton Beach, I immediately went onto Yelp to help me find a new eye doctor. After reading the reviews about Crystal Clear Optical, there was no question to make an appointment there. My issue was simple. Being 5 1/2 years post LASIK surgery, I just wanted to see a bit sharper while driving especially being new to the area and not being familiar with the street names, etc. I thought I had the right prescription after seeing a doctor at Lenscrafters but boy I was wrong. Dr. Moyer and Mark knew right away the prescription of my brand new eye glasses were wrong!! It was wrong!! I haven't been to a real eye doctor in years. I was overdue, with a small budget. Went bc of the Yelp review and all I can say? We ALL need to frequent the smaller, mom & pop stores. Barbara, who has worked there for 30yrs, greeted me and we got down to the nitty-gritty. Told her my tail of woe and she didn't try to push or upsell - she showed me exactly what was in my budget range. The optometrist is a hoot - I think he may have a future in stand-up comedy. The owners are lovely, as well as the other staff member. I walked out with 2 pairs with progressive lenses, one pair with transition darkening. Including the exam - $358. Could I have gotten less expensive frames/lenses? Probably. But i felt very comfortable- they showed me a bunch of options and they didn't push. How refreshing. read more

He has a great personality and makes you feel like you're his friend. He is helpful, funny and just a delight. The optometrist who does the eye exams is very nice too. The blond, young woman who helps you select frames and fit them is also very professional and eager to please. You feel like you are in good hands when you purchase your frames from them. I am so glad I found this place. They are prompt with getting the frames with new lenses. I give them an A plus for merchandise, quality and customer service. I will keep going back. I went to Crystal Clear after having a less than perfect experience with a myeyelab in Lauderdale. The doc was very friendly and had a good sense of humor, and most importantly didn't try rush me through my eye exam, instead he took his time to make sure he got my prescription perfect (even though it was about 6:30 on a Wednesday evening and I'm sure he wanted to go home)He also took the time to answer all my questions and explain what he was doing and why. I highly recommend these guys over one of those large chain opticians that try to get as many people through their doors as quickly as possible. read more

This the absolute best place to have an exam and buy new frames! The doctor is a real doctor unlike at our more popular choice locations *cough cough* Stanton *cough* America's Best *cough*. He was able to fix my ruined prescription from a previous exam at America's Best and the girl that works the front counter was super helpful finding frames. When I went to pick up my glasses the owner who does all his own adjusting made my frames fit perfectly and comfortable and didn't let me leave with my sunglasses until they were perfect! Stepped on my eye glasses while on a road trip from Virginia to Florida and was absolutely panicked... the frames were crushed, the lenses popped-out. Based on Yelp reviews, dropped by Clear Optical the next day and Marc expertly (1) talked me off the ledge and (2) told me he would take care of them after a quick diagnostic... he just needed a couple of hours. Sure enough, not two hours later, Marc called me to say the eye glasses were fully REPAIRED. Can't recommend these folks highly enough given their expert, professional and caring service!
