After making an appointment and waiting 5 days I arrived at the scheduled time to be told that the "Dr" would not perform a refraction on my eyes without doing a "complete exam". I told then that I had been to an ACTUAL OPTHALMOLOGIST the week before and I was only there to get new GLASSES (Keep in mind that this is a LENSCRAFTERS). FYI: Optometrists focus on primary vision care, comprehensive exams, and prescribing glasses/contacts, whereas ophthalmologists are medical doctors specializing in complex medical/surgical eye care, such as surgeries for cataracts, glaucoma, and LASIK. read more

Nope! This review is specific to the on-site doc only, Ronie J Zaruches OD. I cannot speak to the lense/frame service area. I confirmed that the Doctor accepted my insurance both before and at the appointment for a standard exam for lenses and contacts. Upon completion of the exam, the Doc refused to give me the prescription because they apparently hadn't completed their enrollment with my insurance carrier and therefore, couldn't submit my claim. He suggested I try someone else as it would be 2-3 months for him to get enrolled. He would not compromise on the cost when I suggested a lower amount because all this was their fault. Complete waste of my time. VERY unprofessional! read more

I didn't have such a great experience at this location. The real issue boils down to the service I received, or rather didn't receive. This ordeal started almost a month ago. On my first visit I was assisted by Jean. She basically gave me a box and told me to pick out what I wanted to try on and walked away. A few times I asked her for her honest opinion as to how the frames looked. She was not very helpful. In her opinion, every pair looked great which was very hard to believe. I needed an honest opinion but obviously she just didn't deliver. Really don't think she cared one way or another about her customers experience. I wound up purchasing reading glasses and sunglasses, both frames were Michael Kors. I am happy with my reading glasses and am keeping them. They have a 30 day return/refund policy so I went back to look for another pair of sunglasses. Jean was there that day but again she was of no help to me. Dana was very helpful and sat down with me while I tried on several pairs. She went above and beyond to help find the perfect frames for me or so I thought. One pair we both liked came in two colors. I specifically asked if they came in black and was told no, everything they carried was on display. No problem so I went with the brown tortoise. I was told that in 7 to 10 days I would receive a text saying they are ready to be picked up. While looking on their website I stumbled across the frames I had asked for in black. At this point I was completely aggravated and annoyed. When I asked Dana if they were available in black and she said no, she based her answer on the current inventory they had out on display. She should have looked up the style number on her iPad. If Dana just took this extra step I would have the pair I really wanted. Today was day 12 and still no text to let me know my glasses came in. I called the store and Jean happened to answer. She told me it would be a few more days, she can't rush the lab, blah, blah, blah. At this point I knew I would cancel the order and just have them refund my credit card. Jean was not pleased by this request. I asked her for the dollar amount of the refund and she told me she had to figure it out and will have to get back to me. I very nicely said thank you and I will be in shortly to wrap up this fiasco. As I approached the counter I saw Jean. Wow, this woman is not pleasant at all. So, me being me, went out of my way to say hello and asked her how she was. I figured with her cold greeting, perhaps she wasn't having a good day. She told me the store manager would process my refund. I met Julio before and he was helpful, so I thought great, finally someone who knows what they are doing. He completed my refund but I wasn't done with him just yet. I wasn't leaving until he fully understood why I cancelled my order. Julio did offer to order me the black frames, but I declined because I just didn't want to wait another two weeks. Dana was helpful, and yes she should have looked online to see if other colors were available, but overall she was very kind and gave me genuine answers. Jean was useless to me. Very rough around the edges, cold personality and because she liked everything I tried on, I can't help but wonder just how honest she is. Just my opinion. Three stars are due to the fact that Lenscrafters carries a decent selection of frames, they have a good refund policy and I do like the quality of their glasses. Customer service not so much, at least in this store anyway. I am hoping Julio can step up and give his staff the training they so desperately need. My advice is to look on their website to check out the color selections of any frames you do like. In other words, see for yourself, because you may not always get a straight answer. read more

Probably the worse LensCrafters in the country. I have been going to LensCrafters for 30+ years all over the country. Upon walking in with my wife this crazy lady starts aggressively telling me rules. Only one other person in the store and she wants me to wear a mask. Btw...I'm vaxxed and boosted. Worst ordering experience ever! I ordered online a week and a half ago, uploaded my prescription and thought I'd get my glasses fast since I paid extra for expedited shipping. I checked online and reached out to Customer Service online since my order still pending prescription. A day later, I was told my prescription was for progressive lenses, but I ordered single vision (thanks doc, I said no progressive lenses!) So, I responded distance only. Heard nothing. So I called. They fixed it, then shipped it. I expected my glasses yesterday, but UPS delayed them, so they were supposed to get here today. When I checked on the tracking, it turns out that Lenscrafters didn't put my apartment number on the label!! The Boynton Beach location is fantastic! My husband and I are so pleased with the service and selection that we will be returning. The staff are super nice and their eye doctor is just wonderful. She got my vision more crisp than it's been in 10 years. The manager is really fast and professional and I liked that a lot. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good place to care for your eyes, this LensCrafters location is a great choice! I only leave reviews when I'm really impressed or really disappointed. Loved my experience here. Dr Shannon was very personable and easy to talk to. My initial pre-screening was quick and I didn't even have to get the stupid air puff in my eyes. Although my appointment started a little late I communicated exactly what I needed and he had me in and out and made it feel like a breeze. Will definitely be returning for future vision needs! PS the Lens Crafters sales associates were always ready and eager to help me choose a perfect pair of glasses. Worst LensCrafters I have ever been to. We have been going for years to other locations and have had wonderful experiences. I had an eye appt., the girls did my eye exam then as I'm waiting to see the Dr. they tell me he took a walk in, its gonna be another 20 minutes (I had already been there for 45 minutes)......they would not give me my prescription. My husband had his transition and progressive lenses done in NJ two months prior and Linda, who was nasty and reciting all the rules, said there was nothing they could do (they clearly need to be redone as he cant see out of them). NOPE Linda says they are out of warranty. One bad experience after another and this location. STAY AWAY read more

I bought Rx sunglasses with LensCrafters just beyond their warranty. When I noticed the lense films crackling after spending a few hundred dollars on these glasses. I now live far enough from a lenscrafters and when I called the Delray Beach lens crafters where I originally bought them, they did not stand by their product and offerred 50% off of a new pair if I buy at lens crafters an hour and half away from me now. They still have my records and I don't understand why it couldn't be taken care via mail, and after they suggested the crackling was very unsual, why they just couldn't stand by their product and customer. read more

Beware! Of purchasing the Protection Plan for $35. What they don't tell you is the old ones have to be turned back in; you can't keep them. And this is NOT printed in the Plan. So $400+ for the original pair, $35 for the Protection Plan and $50 for the replacement pair...you have one pair of Glasses!! What's wrong with keeping the old scratched or damaged pair? I paid for them! The lady at the store says "Well, you could always buy a new pair and keep yours" ...another $400 plus later. Really? May I just say I do not like to write reviews but this office really exceeded my expectations. For starters the ambiance of this office is so relaxed. The place is completely spotless. The staff was very helpful. I was greeted right away as I walked in by a really nice lady. I saw Dr. Jacob. He is was very nice, knowledgeable, and truly caring. I'm not the easiest patient, millions of questions and super undecided but he managed to answer all my questions and was so patient with me. An overall great experience. Do not ever deal with this company. Upon entering their store, a woman Linda approached us in a very aggressive way telling us all the rules of the store. Ok no problem as my husband and I are rule followers. Beware. They will guide you to the designer section first (which are the most expensive). She was very condescending and continued reminding us of everything we were doing wrong, such as how we were putting the glasses on and off our heads and which way to place the glasses back in to the bin. It's fine to teach us, but I felt like I was with a very strict teacher who felt the need to be in control. I asked if we can see the non designer section & she reluctantly brought us there. We both immediately found similar glasses at a fraction of the price of designer. When it came time to give us the final price, she quoted us almost $600 for one pair of which the frames were half price roughly around $40 with the discount they were offering. When I told her that price is insane and that I have had prescription glasses prior and the cost never came close, She said well your prescription has changed. Then in two seconds, she saw I wasn't buying her sales pitch and immediately started playing with her computer adding numbers. Miraculously the price went down to under $300 and told us she was able to add and take things away and that it was her mistake. But prior to admitting her mistake, she was trying to convince me that a change in prescription makes the price higher. Btw, this is the first time I attempted using this company so it's not a change. It's my first prescription. All in all, she continued to back peddle and wasted so much energy trying to get us to think we won't find a better price elsewhere. PS, we went to Costco and got 3 pairs of designer glasses for both my husband and myself and it all added up to the price of one pair that LensCrafters tried to convince us was the best price. Buyer beware. These people at this location are not customer friendly. I was trying to purchase two pairs of prescription glasses, not a car for God's sake. read more

The doctor was nice but the manager, Marcia, was awful. I was charged for an eye scan that I did not want, I just wanted the basic check up but was charged for things that I did not want. I was also charged for an eye dilation that I did not receive due to covoid. Along with being sneaky about what I was going to be charged I was also receiving attitude from Mercia in front of other staff as well. She stated that "She can't read minds". She was very unpleasant to deal with. This experience was very uncomfortable and disappointing and I will not be returning. read more

This doctor was exactly what I have been looking for. I had given up on contacts since my eyes have gotten so bad. Dr. Besty suggested hard contacts and even negotiated with my insurance to get them covered (these are not typical lenses, the run about $1000-$1500 as opposed to $200 for soft lenses). DO NOT GO TO THIS LENSCRAFTER, unless you come with no pockets or bags and stay FAR away from empty glasses spots or you might get accused of stealing glasses and have to wait around for over an hour surrounded by 3 police officers. So here's my first experience at this lenscrafter. My wife and I came to this lenscrafter to look for some new glasses on our Sunday off together. Upon arrival we were asked if we needed help by a shorter, black haired lady with clear and gold glasses who looked like the manager. We kindly replied we are just browsing and didn't need any help. After about 20 mins of browsing we were asked by the same employee, if we knew where a pair of glasses were and she pointed in an empty spot. We replied no, we didn't see any glasses in that spot and continued browsing. after 10-15 more minutes we didn't see anything and we were ready to go. Upon leaving we were confronted by a 6'3 250 lb police officer who asked us if we were leaving and if so we were going to have to stick around for a little while. He continued to explain that the employee that greeted us, accused us of stealing a pair of glasses and has to go over footage. At this point my wife and I feel extremely offended that we were accused of stealing these glasses when we were just browsing around and could help but laugh and reply "are you serious?!?". After emptying my pockets, my wife showing her wallet and giving the officer our license, we ended up talking with the officer who ended up being very nice. 2 more cop cars pulled up and 2 more officers came in as we waited for the manager to look over the camera footage. It took over an hour for the manager to look over the footage and even the 3 officers had to go back there and look over it with her and each told her they do not seeing anything suspicious. After a couple more minutes of her continuous search, she finally came out with such an emotionless, short apology and dared to end it with "better safe than sorry"..... She was very lucky she falsely accused us that day because i'm sure she and many other married couples wouldn't have just replied "ok" after having to be stop and held by police officers for over an hour on their sunday off work. Unbelievable this employee needs to be reprimanded for causing us stress and our time on our day off of work together. read more

Loved coming to this office! The staff and doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have state of the art equipment that make an eye exam experience feel like a breeze. Having kind of complicated eyesight on my end I was given prescription contacts and glasses options I didn't know was even available to me, but they have such high standards in what they offer with these services and I was very pleasantly surprised. I'm wearing my new contacts as I'm typing and they're the best fit and feel that I've ever felt in a long time and I've been wearing contacts for 12 years. Coming to this Lenscrafters has been such a life saver in more ways than just one. Having suffered from migraines for most of my life I realized through having my vision checked that the two had a connection for me specifically. Had I not gone to the knowledgeable medical staff at this office I never would have known. It also helps that there is hardly any wait for your appointments and the front desk and clinical staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. So this was the first time I've needed glasses, but was still a great visit to the eye doctor! I was able to get in earlier than scheduled, and smoothly transition through the different test during the eye exam with the help of Dr. Jacob's assistant. Right after he went over everything with me I went out to the gallery of glasses they have where Virginia help me comb through all the different glasses to help narrow down my selection. Their environment was welcoming and bright, and all the staff i didn't deal with very friendly. I plan on going back next year for sure thanks everyone. read more

I met the Manager David Kosovitz and he helped me quickly pick an awesome pair of Tiffany glasses and took the time to explain all offers and discounts I then decided to move forward and do the eye exam thinking I would make an appointment...nope they took me right in the Dr was courteous and thorough! Then I was moved to Jean Gilletly and she was so kind and measured my eyes etc! I ended up purchasing a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses and can't wait to revive them. The eye exam was more Hi-tech, actually able to get an accurate picture of my optic nerve! Dr. Jacob was very professional, and helpful.
