I saw Dr. Garmizo today, my appointment went so smoothly. Everyone in the office works very well together. I felt confident in Dr. Garmizos knowledge and ability around Kerataconus. I have all of the newest technology needed to perform exams on eye health and refraction.. they offer all types of contact lenses including soft, Torric, RGP & sclerral. I've been with everything eyes since the beginning of my scleral journey and both Dr. Garmizo and Dr. Golchen are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and were able to transfer their skills and knowledge to me, a novice user in order to be able to feel confident in using this new lense. I wanted to update my review. I still believe they are the best in the area. Dr.Golchin is an amazing doctor. She makes sure a patient's eyes are healthy and happy. I love seeing her for my eye needs. They are located in Boca raton and have a ton of eyeglasses inventory. They also give an option for you to buy lenses from them too. Good news, they take a lot of health insurances'. I go every year for my annually since I have prescription for eye lenses and eye glasses. Making an appointment is easy. I just moved to FL and this optimist came highly recommended. The Dr took her time and I felt I got a very good eye exam. I then spent about an hour looking at frames and decided not to fill the new lenses RX at this time. I was in the store at least an hour before I checked out and paid. I took the RX to NJ and filled it at Lens crafters. 10 days later I go to pick up my new glasses and I can't see! All blurry-fuzzy- What's wrong??? Everything Eyes gave me a script before the DR had finalized it. They then emailed me my correct RX for me to now FAX to Lenscrafters and wait another 10 days to get my glasses. Who has a fax machine these days? What an inconvenience and waste of time for me and Lenscrafters! I barely got a "sorry" from Everything Eyes. read more

Wish I could rate it higher for the excellent Optometrist however the lack of communication from the office staff is disconcerting. There was more conversation about ordering lunch & personal issues on our initial visit, than there was in assisting us in selecting 2 glasses. The first pair fell apart twice before we insisted on a replacement. On Friday we were called the glasses were ready & we picked them up on Saturday. We were told for a special test that cost $50 the balance was $110 since they were "just notified" a secondary insurance didn't cover the test. We would've appreciated being told about this when we were called on Friday, obviously this iwas communicated in the past 3 weeks. Their attitude was condescending and we would not recommend this office. UPDATE : I'm happy to report an update. Today the office reached out to rectify our situation. I am beyond disappointed with this business. I was postponing my annual exam due to Covid, after numerous reminders from the office I finally made my appointment. I got as far as picking frames for my new glasses; when I asked how much is my insurance covering for frames I was told they do not take my insurance anymore, AFTER MY EXAM. The lady that was helping me apologized that I was not informed and asked the doctor what to do. She was told to run it through my health insurance which did not cover the exam. I was never notified prior to the exam that they do not take my insurance anymore, either when making the appointment or when checking in. Why in the world would I have the exam here if I knew they don't take my insurance anymore? I am a single mom with 2 kids working two jobs and I would certainly find a place where I would have 100% covered. When I called the office after I received my bill and explained what happened, the office manager said she will check with the doctor to see what they can do and she would call me back. She never did, I called the office three more times leaving message with no response before I was able to talk to her again. She said, "I already talked to you", when I explained again, they never informed me about not taking my insurance, her argument was "I check the insurance here, we haven't been taking this insurance for 2 years" as that is the prove they did not make this mistake. Finally at the end she said to get rid of me that she checked with the girls and said they told me about the insurance, which was not true. I couldn't believe was I was hearing. It was implied that I am lying and denied any responsibility for their mistake. I have never encountered such an unprofessional and dishonest business. If you make so much effort into getting patients in by sending emails and postcards perhaps you should send notices to your patients you no longer accept their insurance as others do and if you do make a mistake, admit it and try to resolve it professionally. I really liked Dr. Golchin and all the staff when I had my exam, but unfortunately this was ruined by the management of this office. This place is great. I've worn glasses and contacts since I was a kid, and have gone to many different optometrists. I also get my eyes checked at least once a year for that reason, and this is the best experience I've ever had. Great place to purchase eyeglasses! Was looking to get new eyeglasses since the ones I owned were really old and out of style. Esther was very helpful. She brought out a ton of frames for me to try on and had patience with me which was terrific. I came on a Friday morning and my frames with the lens were ready on Monday morning which worked out well since my flight was Tuesday. If you are looking for sharp frames and terrific service, this is the place to go. Prices can be on the high end, but they accepted my vision insurance which helped a lot ($300 discount!). They gave a 1 year warranty with the glasses should I have any issues. When I went on Monday to pick up my glasses, Esther helped adjust them to made sure they fit perfectly. read more

I went to get a pair of computer glasses. I used my insurance which means that the lab that makes the lens is pre-set by the insurance company. The glasses were rejected 3 times. Not only were they rejected but the sales associate that helped me got very frustrated and starting no wanting to answer my calls and LIED to me about the reason for the problems. I have NOW come to find out from other eyeglass stores that NO ONE uses this lab as most of the time the lens get rejected. The sales associate should have known this and offered other options. I will not go back to this store. Great merchandise, but they are not knowledgeable about cusotmer service . I have wasted three weeks waitoing for glasses, but I have found a store that had another lab that executes properly. read more

I had a very bad experience at this optician. I went to them because they were an authorized dealer of Lindberg Frames, made in Norway. I had broken the side piece of my glasses near the ear. They told me they would have to order a part from Norway and it would take two weeks. I returned in two weeks to find out that the wrong sidepiece was either ordered or delivered from the company. The right sidepiece was broken and the optician had the left side piece. I then went back two weeks later when they received the correct part and they were unable to attach the side piece to the frame. My Lindberg frame is rimless and the side piece attaches via a thick wire through the lens. They were unable to attach the side piece. They said, among other things, that you need a jewelers glass to see what you are doing and the company only sent one metal part to go through the lens. The salesperson who had short blond hair and big round glasses told me they would send the glasses to Lindbergs lab in Connecticut to be fixed. When I got home, I emailed Lindberg and they said they had no labs anywhere in the US. If the optician had an issue fixing a frame, the glasses were to be mailed back to Norway. Two weeks later, after I assume the glasses went to Norway and not Connecticut, I picked up the glasses. I did not have the use of my glasses for six weeks. In summary, Everything Eyes should never have taken on the job without looking closely at what was involved and deciding whether they had the experience to repair the glasses. Secondly, the salesperson should never have lied to me that the glasses were going to a lab in Connecticut. After the review was posted, an employee called me up and offered to charge me only the optical stores costs. I declined the offer. I did not write the review to get money back but to inform of the difficulties experienced in repairing my Lindberg frames. A partial refund could not make up for the inconvenience of not having glasses with a current prescription for six weeks. I don't write reviews to get discounts. My integrity is of upmost importance to me. While it was a conciliatory gesture, I could not accept it. However, I do appreciate the offer. read more

I had the pleasure of having my eyes examined by Dr. Golchin the other day. She was professional, courteous, friendly and quite thorough. She took her time answering all of my questions (and I have a lot), pointing out everything she was doing and what my results were. I had an issue with floaters, so after she tried some lenses on me, asked if it was any better. The floaters were still there, but I could see them much more clearly. That's just how good she is! Okay, she has a sense of humor too, which is much appreciated in today's hurried world. I went here because of my vision coverage and it's super convenient. I would call this an eyewear boutique. The frames are out of my price range (not unreasonably priced at all, though!) but they are gorgeous and the selection is very current, very classy, and the variety is impeccable. I had a wonderful time working with the staff on trying on frames, so much so, I might just break down and buy them. :-P I think the boutique really fits in perfectly in the area, right on the Delray/Boca line. I saw both young and older customers/patients, all of whom looked amazing in the eyewear they had purchased or were in the process of selecting, and seemed to be enjoying it just as much as I was. Prior to my appointment, one of the staff went out of her way to be helpful investigating my insurance coverage. What this meant for me was the best deal I've ever gotten on a year supply of lenses ever. So while this is an upscale shop in an upscale plaza, I got no feeling that anyone was trying to gouge me or push me, but instead finding what would be the best for me, both my preferences and financially. I hate to admit it, but I was surprised at this. This isn't a familiar sort of shop for me and I thought the optician was being a touch aggressive at first, but it was quickly evident that what I mistook for aggression was actually a really fun zeal for helping me find the perfect-in-every-possible-way frame and, what I think is the best part, offered *honest* feedback on the things we tried and what my best options would be. So appreciated. Along with my other surprises, very pleasant. While this review is already lengthy, I must comment specifically on Dr. Garmizo and his staff. I've been using correction since my early teens. Having had many eye exams being in my late 30s now, I have no doubt that I received the most comprehensive and meticulous eye exam I ever have. They all have a great "chairside" manner and were courteous, professional, and educational. The doctor took an extensive extra amount of time to get the very best corrected vision for me, and took the time to explain the testing, as well as ocular anatomy. It really made me feel like both my vision and my overall ocular health were really important to them, and that means a lot. Another pleasant surprise is that they had a disposable toric trial pair in stock for me in my favorite brand! This has *never* happened to me, and the doctor fit them absolutely perfectly. I felt like the special eyes "my brand!!!" guy from the commercial. I knew they were right the moment I put them in and was, for once, able to order them immediately for a pleasantly surprising price so great (with rebates too!) I almost got giddy. I can't say enough positive things about this place! As long as you go in with the understanding this isn't your local discount chain outlet (in a good way,) you can't be disappointed. My retired optometrist apparently sold my medical records to Everything Eyes a few months ago. I called them to get a copy of my medical records, and in fact, was planning to check them out for their own services. I was told that they would send it my way. But that was not the case. After two weeks of phone calls with several people at the office, who are all aware of the situation, and all of them insisting they will send it to me "by the end of day" each and every time. I still don't have it. What is even most frustrating is that they are reading the records to me, so they had it in their possession. I'm sure they are aware that it is ILLEGAL to not give someone their personal medical records. I'm gathering that they want me to schedule an appointment and pay them so that I may get access to it.
