Eyeglass World - Inside of the store - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Lake Worth, Florida

I've been going to Eyeglass World for years but after today I won't be going back. The exam part was fine but after I selected 2 pairs of frames to purchase with my new prescription, I told the person attending me that I wanted all the same things I had gotten previously and she quoted me over $1200 dollars and $45 for my exam. I told her that seemed awfully high even after my 10% military discount which she didn't seem happy about me mentioning. She told me one pair wasn't eligible for any discount as they were safety glasses. I showed her a card I received in the mail and she told me I wasn't eligible for it. I told her I would be paying for the exam and wouldn't be purchasing any glasses. I also told her with my insurance last time I only had to pay $19 for exam. She told me the eye x ray was an additional $20 which at my ophthalmologist was covered by my health insurance. She deducted that and told me I owed $20. I feel like I was being ripped off today. Why do I even have to ask why I was being charged so much higher than last time. My insurance was the same as before and with me going there for many years I was treated horribly. It was just a horrible experience overall and no reason was given to me as why she couldn't or wouldn't assist me in getting a fair price, she didn't even try. Like I said the last time I was there the young man who assisted me when out of his way to help me get a fair and reasonable price but this time I felt like they don't care anymore and that will be their future downfall. read more

This place is fantastic! They accidentally broke my Ray Ban sunglasses, replaced them very quickly. Teresa is courteous and professional. They do services that you cannot get online. Will be back. read more

After a small miscommunication on the prescriptions that I needed for my eyeglasses, one of the technicians, Kenia quickly solved the issue! Kenia swiftly took action and contacted me once the issue was corrected. Her customer service should be recognized by customers and employer. Also a thank you to Jeanise for following up to ensure customer satisfaction. read more

I was in a panic because my frames broke on my eyeglasses. I went early Monday and Loretta helped me so much!! She took her time to help me find a pair of frames that were almost the same as the ones that broke. THANK YOU LORETTA. YOU're the best! read more

This was a Clown Car fiasco. The optometrist made the excuse that the techs were new. This is a big company and should train their people. People represent the whole company. I'm not going back. Can't recommend a company that texts a client that they have an appointment then have no record of the appointment. I wish I could play circus music here read more

Stay away from this place. They don't take vision health seriously. They toyed with my prescription like if it was a hot pancake from one rep to the next eventually loosing it and sending me to a different location because they were not able to handle the prescription. Yes the MOLD issue is true and the were without AC during the Summer time for over 2 weeks. That place is a health hazard. read more

The place is hot and moldy, with a giant fan running constantly. I visited here three times in one month and each time I was given a different script for contacts, I was never able to see properly. I finally got an ok script, and when I went to get my contacts and glasses in shop, I spotted a sign with a discount on two pairs of glasses, but when I went to buy them, the price for glasses was triple the amount. I understand that there is a cost for the frame and another cost for the lenses, but the pricing offered seemed exorbitant. I contacted today after deciding to order and request trails till my contacts arrived and was told no because it had been almost 6 months from my last visit. read more

I called before and spoke to the manager on duty and asked if they would put lenses in existing new frames and they said yes. I explained the frames are metal folding Kanda SlimFold frames. I came in and waited for someone to help me for about 15 minutes, everyone seemed to be on lunch at the same time. Then I was handed off to 3 different people. After another 20 minutes, I was told that my glasses had no screw to put and hold the lenses and they could not do the lenses. What an unorganized waste of my time. The next day I went to a Yelp 5 star eye glasses store and was told of course there is a screw to hold and tighten the lenses. I was was in and out in 20 minutes all with the same person. I have been using these frames for at least 25 years, buying SlimFold reading glasses and putting RX lenses in them. read more

The sales person who sold us glasses was real sweet and helpful and that is why I am giving three stars. After spending over $200 (2 for $79 deal is a scam), I never received a phone call to pick up glasses. Rather I received a postcard in the mail two weeks later telling me the glasses were ready for pick up. Wow! My glasses from Costco were ready in one week. This place two weeks really? When I arrived to pick up the glasses there were four workers and no customers. I was ignored for a while before being serviced. The customer service lady proceeded to pick up the phone and assist the caller with an order. It was dinner time so my kids were super cranky and I promised we would be in and out. I walked to the counter and demanded to have my glasses. This story is not much different than others who receive bad service. It is sad places like this continue to stay open. It's no shock that employees come and go and customers rarely return. read more

A week ago I lost one of my lenses. After ie get told I would need to wait until after the first of the year for a replacement, I contacted Eyeglass World, Lake Worth and am happy I did. Within two hours, yes I said two hours, I had two new pairs of glasses! Daniel Wert was very professional and courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend Eyeglass World to others. My experience here was just wonderful. The first visit was because I had scratched a lens on my glasses and I was leaving for a vacation in two days and was in a panic about getting my lens repaired quickly. I got an eye exam and had my new prescription ready by 4PM the same day. Yesterday I went back and purchased two new frames from a very large selection. The two people who helped me were amazing. So I want to thank them for all they had done for me.Mojar and Shameen were so helpful and knowledgeable. They made my visit a pleasure. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! This store doesn't even deserve 1 star. This location needs to be shut down immediately. I've been wearing eyeglasses for over 30 years and have never experienced such a circus of so called doctors. I first went in and the doctor gave me the wrong prescription for both my contacts and glasses. He was insistent the prescription was right only to reexamine my eyes to see he was wrong by over 1.00 point on each eye for the contacts. The glasses he gave me when I put them on I immediately lost all depth perception. After receiving my new prescriptions they fit me for new glasses because the different eye glass doctor said I needed different frames as well more fitted for my face. I then got the new frames and the new prescription set and told to come back 2 weeks later. I went back and they didn't change my prescription in my glasses nor did they give me my new frames that I was told to pick out. They literally gave me the same old glasses with the old wrong prescription and frames. read more

This was my first time going to eyeglass world. They did everything incredibly efficiently. I was in and out in a little over an hour haven't gotten everything taken care of that I need it to. Their machine is down right now so they couldn't get same day glasses, but that's not their fault these things happen. Highly recommend. read more

My son's 2nd pair of glasses arrived when promised. Score! Monja sent a nice thank you note for buying glasses at Eyeglass World, along with a coupon for a future purchase. After our experience with a nearby competitor, this was a breath of fresh air! Wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

I've been to this location 2x and had issues both times. The first issue was resolved after the fact thankfully but the second issue has not. They offer a $25 referral program...but if you refer someone, don't expect to be rewarded after your referral!! I was told I'd receive an email in 2 weeks with a $25 gift card for successfully referring someone. I've checked all folders...nothing has been sent to me. It's been over 6 weeks. I've called several times and emailed them, all to no avail. This place is a joke! I will never refer anyone to this location again. Ever. read more

I decided to write this review because of how happy I am with the great service Amanda Espinoza provided for me. I had such a hard time finding frames for my self but Amanda did a fabulous job finding the perfect frames the matched my hair, skin tone, and better yet, she was able to do it within my budget. She was also very professional in explaining my insurance benefits as well. I am very happy with my glasses and I can finally see!! Im so happy and Blessed it was Amanda who took care of me. read more

This store is slow as ALL HELL. OMG. I hate coming here; it takes them forever to get to you even when there's barely anyone in the store. Not to mention, you see workers just sitting but never approach to help. When my new insurance kicks in, I'll stop going here forever. read more

Great prices, horrible horrible customer service... sitting here 20 minutes waiting to talk

I've come here for glasses they have been timely professional an understanding of my needs. Usually it's just to get a new pair because I'll break them and go months without but every time I've been helped in the process has been rather fast. I would highly recommend. read more

Yesterday my husband and I spent over two hours and $1200 on eye exams and two pair of glasses each. The eye exam clerks were like a comedy of errors, one almost charged me $1000 accidentally. The other kept messing up my husband's receipt. Finally we got two receipts, but only one receipt had a breakdown of charges. We went to get the actual glasses after that, picked out our two frames each. The woman took a very very long time to do whatever she was doing with the scripts and charging for the lenses and frames. We started making jokes about how long it took, it was like a car buying experience being trapped there. Finally she handed us two folded brochures after charging us about $500 each for our glasses. I thought the receipt was in the brochure, got it home, no receipt no breakdown of costs. Then I read you could only return the glasses with a receipt. For the amount of money spent, I expected a receipt with a breakdown of costs. I will call tomorrow and see if there is a way to get receipts after the fact. I must say the clerks were all very friendly and affable but when it came to their job, not so competent. read more

Funny, I had the exact same issues there over the past few years! I have not and will not set foot back in that place again. I wonder if the whole replenishing of the samples is even legal. I know it's unethical, but is it legal? read more

It was time for a new pair of eyeglasses. Bryan here at Eyeglass World took his time doing the measurements and he thoroughly explained the options available. On my last visit to the DMV, I was told I would need an eye exam. I was nervous, so I went on line and saw many positive reviews for Eyeglass World in Lake Worth. I am happy to report they were correct! The staff was very friendly, professional, and courteous. The doctor was great ! How ever the ladies out in the eye glass area not so great ! Poorly organized! There was 3 people helping us and they kept switching up back and forth ... We were there for about 3 hours and 3/4 of that time was dealing with the girls for our glasses .... the lenses aren't priced badly but the way they price out the lenses is very expensive!!! We probably won't be going back to thins location except to pick up our glasses . read more

I've been to Eyeglass World several times now with glasses that the bow has been bent out of shape when somebody sat on it and once when the frames were twisted. Each time, I was treated warmly and with respect. Each time, Theresa has been the person who has expertly brought the proper shape back to the bows and frame. The entire group of people welcome me with kind smiles when I come into the store. I'm always been made to be comfortable as if at home.... (nice touch) When I see Theresa I know I won't allowed to feel stupid because of the need to repair my glasses. It's always, instead, "good to see you back and how can I help." Seems like the pleasantry is genuine as well as the humor. She even walks me to the door when to say good bye. Kinda feels like fellowshipping with family. Great place to have eyecare and eye products, but even better by the service which is offered. I never felt hustled nor rushed. Thank you for your kindness and you know I do tell people about you. read more

I have been a customer here for a very long time. My last purchase was the only time I had a problem they couldn't easily correct. To be fair, I don't know if it was that my new prescription was difficult to adjust to or them. It took at least 5 visits for the opticians to adjust the glasses until they were fine. To their credit, they gave me a free re-exam to make sure the issue was not with the prescription that was previously ordered without any fuss. It had been done correctly. read more

Went here when my daughter broke my wife's glasses. Dr Shannon bent over backwards to not only see us on very short notice, but gave us a great price on a combination glasses/contacts exam with a trial pair of contacts while we waited for the glasses to be made so my vision challenged wife could leave that day able to see. Very quick, friendly, and helpful service. read more
