I scheduled an appointment that was fitting for my schedule. Arrived, no one to greet or acknowledge my arrival. Tough process getting started. I do have insurance but it doesn't cover eye exams. I pay out of pocket. Was told I needed to give them my insurance information anyway, and was handed a long price list ( one of which takes time to discern. I stated clearly I was there for the $79 deal. I was told that is only to get people in the door. I could do the exam and take my prescription to Walmart or LensCrafters. I stated I came for a one stop visit, I am not going place to place. Was then told $79 is for single lenses. I said that's all I want. She then abruptly asked if what I had on is single lenses. "Yes" I never knew till I was placed in an exam room that it is 'hybrid exam' woman with heavy accent came on screen. Difficult to understand her. Ended exam with office assistant and hybrid lady talking at same time. In a hurry there because they have very limited staff. I was then informed my script was on hold. I need to see a doctor, WOW. I later received an email my appointment was cancelled. Thankfully they had the decency to tell me there was no charge. If you have any diseases, eye problems, or past problems this is not the place for you. The lady who walked in after me, but waited on before me, had never been given a receipt, didn't know when her glasses would be there and is on her second trip. A woman in the section to pick out glasses was aggressively being talked into more options, more expensive glasses and though she had an unhappy child with her, the attendant persisted. I went to Stanton optical last week I need some glasses as I could get my eyes to adjust My eye doctor has moved away so I needed glasses in 1 week I called Stanton Opticsl one of those make it today Buy one pair get one pair I was sceptical of a rip off So I took Rick Got appointment right away Went over an picked out 2 pairs of the cheapest frames Then I waited They did all the testing right there even the puff test they looked behind my eyes Nothing to report on than process I did not buy any upgraded Then I turned over my older glasses I wanted to see how this was going to work I was seated in the optical This Stanton has two One with a live person one with off premise doctor I went this the off site because I'm always do cutting edge It was so easy an assistant set up the eye checker thing one doctor came on line like in a tv monitior I could see him and he could see me He controlled everything remotely I was like this is so bizarre way of the future He went over everything Read this see that which is better one or two I asked to go back and he did He did both eyes The assistant came in and adjusted to reading both eyes were tested again By the man in the box Then I was done I returned to the waiting room and to have just regular glasses for my nearsightedness the 2 pairs were $79 Then to add progressive near and far $175.00 for 2 pairs But I've Have to wait 1 week Just enough time I'm thinking these are going to be the biggest waste of my $$$$& but I went for it I did not order Sunny's or Transitions 1 week later glasses are here I go into the store Pick'em up Seem ok It's been 2 long days There perfect I can read signs read my iPhone read a menu and signs at the airport The frames are not my usual $350 but these are great for travel and keeping in my luggage Yes, I would go there again and next time I would step up the frames When I get home I'm going to visit them again about changing out some of my lens to the new prescription Yes, they gave me a copy of the prescription for travel just in case Hope my review helps Stanton Optical read more

My daughter worked with someone named Jennifer, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made sure my daughter felt comfortable the entire time. We laughed, we smiled, and the whole experience was just incredible. I have never felt so much genuine care from someone we had just met. Jennifer took her time and patiently helped my daughter learn how to put in and take out her contacts. Even though it took quite a while to get them in, she never rushed us and stayed by our side the entire time. She explained everything clearly and showed her helpful techniques to make the process easier. Because of this wonderful experience, I won't be going anywhere else for my other kids. it was super easy to do the exam and everybody was super helpful. I did order some contacts which was great. They ended up helping me out with a great price. What makes this a shitty experience is that no one ever gave me a call to tell me that my contacts arrived to the facility and they have arrived nine days ago. There was no call. There was no tax. There was no follow up. Call nothing. I called the store to see if they had arrived, but no one answered the phone and I was placed on hold and they ended up just forgetting about me. People there are nice. I'm not gonna say anything about anybody's character, but they need to fix their contacting issue. read more

just now New I really did not have a good experience coming here. I spent $500 on a six month supply of contacts and one pair of glasses. After waiting a week and a half for my contacts to arrive I was handed two different boxes for my left eye and my right eye. When I got home and realized the employee's mistake, I called the store and was treated very rudely. I was told if I opened the boxes already there is nothing they can do. That they do not Verroi the customers order before they hand it to the customer. They had no idea why I had two different contact boxes or why the boxes looked different. I am writing to formally complain about my experience at (7526 Bandera Rd San Antonio, TX 78238)today with an associate named Veronica. Despite showing her a valid offer from your website, she repeatedly refused to honor it and provided inconsistent pricing for the same items. When I clarified that I only wanted the standard components and no add-ons, she became visibly upset and unprofessional. she simply added the same frame to both orders and rushed to close the transaction. Our experience as repeat customers, who once gave this company the highest rating was absolutely horrible and we would never do business with this business again, and we would not recommend anybody to this location. We left feeling forced to pay for horrible service and experience. And we felt threatened by the manger with tattoos all over his chest. We were lied to in the advertisement about everything based upon the experience and outcome of our visit. We went there for the $79 special. We were forced to pay $139 after the exam and to add to it, they also did not have the prescription to go ahead and make either pair of the glasses as they promised on the advertisement, would be made in the same day. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered! 1- Waited over 2 months for 2 pair of glasses. 2 - Glasses were to shipped, after 2 phone conversations where the address to ship was given it was never done. They had no notes regarding shipping. When I questioned the representative helping me had no answers. I was hesitant to come here due to reviews but needed glasses as they claim "same day". I know now I could have gone literally anywhere else and received the glasses in less than 2 months and I'm sure they would have been shipped! NEVER AGAIN! I was misinformed about the special that lured me to try their services. I wasn't told about the free anti-glare promotion with the 2 for $79 glasses, and was almost charged an extra $80 for anti-glare with the glasses I was urged into buying, which of course was more than the ones for the special. We went to Stanton Optical in Augusta for the advertised $79 exam, two pairs of glasses, and "30-minute glasses." Our experience was nothing like what they advertise. There were three of us getting exams. Before the exams I explained that one person is legally blind in one eye and asked if the $79 deal would still apply and if glasses could be done the same day. We were told yes. All three went into exam rooms at the same time, and we later found out the doctor wasn't even in the building -- the exam was done over Zoom. After the exams they sat everyone at different tables across the store and had me running back and forth between them even though I was paying for everyone. The girl who is legally blind picked frames, but when we went to the cash register the price suddenly jumped to around $140 because they said her lenses cost more. That was never explained before the exam. After paying we were then told the glasses would take two weeks, even though we had been told they would be ready in about an hour. Another pair of glasses we were told would be ready that same day ended up taking 13 days. We were also told Georgia Medicaid would cover one exam, which we later learned was not true. To make matters worse, we had one person's vision checked by her regular doctor a week later, and he said her vision was fine and she didn't even need glasses. Between the misleading "30-minute glasses" advertising, pricing changes at the register, and incorrect information about insurance, the whole experience felt extremely misleading. They were short staffed. The woman doing the protest didn't know what she was doing and had ro get help multiple times. We were there almost three hours. We had plans for lunch and a birthday party. The advertised promotion was for 2 pairs of glasses and a free eye exam for $79. After services were rendered, I paid $203. I do not have any special requirements for my lenses and it was not clarified fully when I asked about the price difference. I was also not made aware this would be similar to a telehealth visit as the doctor would not be physically present in the exam room with me. When conducting the screening portion of the visit I was told there was an obstruction in my eye that may require additional treatment. This was also told to 2 other people who were examined right after me as I waited to be seen/viewed by the doctor. After a week I brought the glasses back because there was an issue and I was told to physically see an optometrist and if there was a difference in the results my glasses could be remade at no additional cost to me. I went to another provider, paid more money and was told there was no obstruction in my eye along with the prescription I was given being totally wrong for my vision. When I took the updated prescription to Stanton optical I was asked to pay $400 to correct the lenses which I refused. The representative spoke with a manager explaining what had happened and she agreed to waive the additional cost this one time. Overall, this was a bad experience that I will and have gladly shared with others not to ever go to Stanton optical for any vision care services. read more

You won't meet nicer people than Precious and Jaquayle! They make you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door, but don't hover as you enjoy walking around and looking at all the beautiful frames. Jaquayle noticed my affinity for tortoise shell (haha...I had 4 cool frames in my basket!) and suggested a pair I hadn't noticed yet. Ow ow!! I ended up LOVING those Guccis!!! I took a new Rx to the Springfield location on Jan 20 and was initially impressed with the professionalism and speed of service I received. After placing an order for new lenses (I wanted to reuse my current frames) they claimed to save me almost $50 from their competitors, and that my new lenses would be ready in 7-10 days. I received a phone call on February 3 that my lenses were ready and stopped in to have them fitted to my frames. I had to wait for some time to get help and then another 40 minutes as they tried to get my lenses to fit. now, truthfully- I've been buying glasses for literally 40 years and was quite surprised when I was told that even though the machine had measured the frames correctly, the lenses that were specifically made for them would not fit and were bulging out. The salesperson apologized and offered to try again and they would "put a rush on it". I received a follow-up call from the location this evening asking me to come in again, as the new replacement lenses had Never Been ordered. I've been waiting 22 days now for nothing to be delivered. very disappointed in this company and customer care - they blamed a "glitch" in their system?
