Well today target only gets one star a child puked inside the store by the front door and it must've took at least 15 minutes to get it cleaned up and people were walking through it yuck!! Customer service desk the girl was inexperienced and took a long time to help the guests there was only two people in line and I must've been there for 15 minutes (watching the people walk thru the puke) Granted I am sick so I might be a little on edge ......asked the pharmacist for assistance and she was no help she did not know the products in the store They're saving grace was in the self checkout line the girl was amazing helping all the guests check out...(but she also missed getting someone to clean up the puke) read more

Drive Up Order Pick Review The order app is really great, once you get the hang of it. The people though who bring out my orders have always been great. Very polite, quick, accommodating (I like my order placed in the front passenger seat), professional and cheerful. The cheerful part always surprises me to, as they are dealing with a mix of diverse people. I've heard a couple of people get very vocal when an item wasn't available, and they never lost their cool. I wanted to loose my cool with the jerks, but that wouldn't do anything to help or remedy the situation. I would stick my nose in though if it got physical. IS THERE SUCH A THING AS NEGATIVE STARS on March 24th of 2018 at 11:13 at night I was leaving Target after shopping when i walked out a police officer was walking towards me pulling latex gloves on his hands Officer asked me how i was doing I ended up being fully tested for drugs and alcohol in the parking Lot. officer said that Target called saying a woman was in the store was acting erratic, talking to herself and was in the store for 1 hour and a half. Talking to myself, I am sorry if I process things saying to myself, "I don't need that, its cute but, nah, ill get another time." I was humiliated and too embarrassed to go back into the store, so it took a few days before i went back to speak to a manager 1st time general manager was not in and the asst. what happened and the loss prevention and they all said they couldn't really do anything due to the strong policy to never call police unless spoke to General manager, they only call about loss prevention. 2nd time same thing 3rd time i spoke to general manager and he said he never heard anything about the incident. They do loss prevention. ####@ (Targets General Manager) was the one at the register at the time i made my purchase and night the police were called. He said he had no knowledge of the police being called that night and asked the loss prevention duty that evening if he called, he said NO The GM said it must have been a customer reiterating they do not make calls about anything other than loss prevention and it is policy for the employees to always go through him first,. said if i found out any info on report from then police to ket him know since it was so"disturbing" police report said it was ### ####, who called from loss prevention at Target, stating the same that the officer did to me. the GM, said he would contact corporate and see what he could do about it, 2 weeks goes by and no word i went in 3 times to speak with The GM and called twice to speak to him and nothing. I called corporate since then until now i spent weeks going through different people at corporate telling me it was under review. then sent back to the store and general manager and back to corporate to guest relations who had no idea why this wasn't sent to him in the beginning. After weeks more of investigations, lies from everyone at the store, i was offered a $75 gift card. Since, I have been offered $200 then $250. Gift cards. This is an insult to what really is the principal. Aside from admitting guilt on their part. I still do not go into their store. Everyone from the employees to the managers, GM, corporate, customers, no-one could believe that anyone would make a call like this , then lie about it. Saying customers complained and did not feel safe and so on. It is such an insult to be treated this way and thrown through hoops for months when they cannot even be honest, Target corporate sent this to an outside agency that is not within the umbrella of Target ti deal with me saying it was customer relations. How do you have a customer relations representative who doesn't work directly for target be an efficient advocate when they dont work for them. In addition I just had an incident Now, with insult to inhury, I went into the Target In San Rafael on Saturday night August 26th at 9:45 approximately. I had a $5 coupon to spend or wouldn't have gone to Target. Plus, I liked Target before since some prices are far better than others. I will not go into the Novato Target. As I am shopping a man walks past me in a red shirt and then comes back and said to me, "Be sure you pay for that makeup in your purse" I asked if he was accusing me of stealing and told him he could look in my purse, he walks away while i am talking still with his nose turned up and smirking . Shopping at Target in Vintage Oaks Novato, I went in to get one specific item: 38 pounds of kitty litter. Why did I not think I might need a push cart? End of my day? Superwoman fixation? Thank goodness for Edwin near the checkout. He heard me huffing and gasping as I tried to "carry" my item to checkout. He zipped over to help me get it on the conveyor and then got a cart so I could get it out to my car and then he put it in my car. What a blessing he is! read more

Their employees are not empowered - or do not care - to take COVID precautions seriously. I just visited this Target at a time when Marin's COVID crisis is in full swing. After seeing a customer try on several items of clothing in the women's section, I politely told an employee about it. The employee said "oh...okay..." and kept walking in another direction. I'm sure that clothing is not the most of our virus worries right now, but this should be taken very seriously. Unfortunately this is not the first time I've seen rules blatantly abandoned at this store by employees. The ONLY positive side to this store that will leave ANY positive memories in my mind are the electronics associates at the back For a company that prides itself on being pro LGBT this store does NOT live up to those values. If someone is to complain about something that isn't true and that they themselves start, I think it would be in the companies best interest to investigate both sides of the story instead if jumping to conclusions. This rating is not for Target in general. When I visit family in LA, we always go to target and have so much fun. They keep the stores well stocked, there are lots of cute clothes in the correct sizes, the pharmacy is also stocked, and we like the makeup and personal care options. And The prices are fantastic! This target is a hot mess. They are always always always out of whatever it is that I go there to get. The CVS is if anything, worse. generic will not be there, so you have to buy brand names, and despite that number of products on the shelves they're all exactly the same. As an example, There are several ingredients used in nasal sprays. But at this target, there is only one type of ingredient available by about six different brands. I went to another CVS and found the one I wanted. It's really too bad when a local iteration of a store gives the company a bad name. I've given up on going to this target, I drive up to Petaluma now. read more

I heart this location so much - it's pretty much the best Target I've been to. Yeah, the girl working at the register was making conversation and charged me for a BBQ twice, but I caught it and had customer service refund the dollars. Short and sweet, no big deal. The reason I like this one though is because it's so NICE! The Rohnert Park one is trashy with crap all over the place, and the Santa Rosa one is kind of inconvenient and always super packed with screaming kids. This one was quiet and quick to maneuver around, not to mention it's always so CLEAN. Since there is no Target in Petaluma, I'm pretty certain I'll be making the necessary trips to this one as opposed to any of the others. read more

I'm a Minnesota girl at heart so I am naturally a Target addict....the store is clean and organized and has great clearance items. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable and always seem to be around if you have a quick question. The amount of cashier lanes that are open never seems to be enough, no matter what time of the day I go so that could definitely be improved. The new self checkout lanes are a great addition but are a little more finicky than the ones I have used at other retailers. read more

Every time I have been to this target the bathroom is always filthy. It's clear they are rarely maintained. Almost every stall has toilet paper all over, unflushed toilets, filthy floors even though the wet floor sign is out (clearly not from just having been mopped) and the garbages are always over flowing. read more

This has been my go to store for so long now, and for a bit I didn't understand why the ratings were so low, but I do now. Ive been treated pretty well in the past here but recently it's been a lot worse. today specifically as well. Ian, who may just be an employee but might be management, is awfully dismissive and carefree is solving issues brought to him. On top of that being quite rude and having an attitude. If real management would like to hear the full story from my side I am willing to come in and share my perspective. But Ian essentially giving excuses and not working with the customer, while having an attitude of "your problem not mine" just is not inviting nor good customer service in general read more

A Target is Target is Target. 4 stars because I managed to do the near-impossible - find decent greeting cards. I will never understand why this is such a challenge, but it is, and even Target stores have failed me in recent years. Until now! I scored not one but TWO good cards. Amazing. The rest of the store is alright -- stock was missing in quite a few key areas, but it did have some things going for it. They have the new home goods section set up, which I've seen popping up in other Targets recently. It looked really nice! Thankfully, I didn't need anything of that sort, otherwise I would have walked out with much heavier bags and a lighter wallet. read more

Amazingly rude employees. I had bought an item on Targets website and ended up wanting a return. So yesterday morning I go in to do just that. Their site says items bought online can be returned at any store (I guess it doesn't include the part about the rude and accusatory employees you'll encounter in store though). I brought my item to the return counter and showed my online receipt to them and I assume the employee didn't understand how to process the return. Walks up to me arms crossed and accuses me of scamming a return. Didn't bother to investigate or ask for help from another associate first, immediately jumped to conclusions. Anyways, the manager was called over and promptly processed the return with no issues or questions asked. I recommend going to the Petaluma Target, it is much cleaner and the associates are much kinder. read more

I love target anywhere else, but Novato. If I could put zero stars I would. I went in here tonight to grab a couple items. The store was an absolute mess with hangers all over the floor, clothes thrown on the ground and the shoe section is horrible you can't even find your sizes cause there's shoes, boxes, tissue paper thrown all over the floor. The employees are sitting around chatting and on their phones not helping customers or clean the store. On top of that at 9:45pm a dude I assume the manager announced the store was closing and everyone needed to hurry up. Then he dimmed all the lights and the store doesn't close till 10pm. I grew up in a bit of a nose-to-the-ceiling house. Like- I've never been to a Kmart or Wal-Mart (ok, once, to get an air mattress on the way to some hippie burner campout with my ex). But like a child denied candy who becomes a sugar addict as an adult, I lovelovelove Target. Specifically the one in Walnut Creek. The ones just outside of SF only depress and frustrate me...dirty children attaching themselves to your cart or darting in front of you shouting, parents who don't care, and about a million different languages (I love diversity- just organized diversity) being bellowed around my already anxiety-ravaged person. This is like the maserati (did I spell that right?) of Target stores. No screaming, no ill-behaved and gummy children. No problem. In and out without any traffic jams or people giving me the hairy eyeball means I was very happy. Also- they have all of my favorite children's t-shirts (what can I say? I'm snack-sized Autumn in the boob department) in stock all the time and easily accessible, whereas at the Colma and Serramonte locations, I have to physically fight off parents shopping for a hot deal for their children. Much better bedding selection means I got 600 thread count sheet sets for $17.98 on clearance and some accent pillows on clearance for $9.98. Now that's one hell of a deal. And the fact that I didn't have to endure the pain of our more local stores makes it even sweeter. More money for Missoni dresses and Coach bags makes Autumn very happy. Plus, there's lots of parking. Never go to the others ever ever again. I don't usually leave SF unless I'm on a plane or on my way to wine country, but this trip is well worthwhile. read more

This is the worst place to do anything!I am so frustrated I tried to make a payment for my sister who is handicapped and who cannot walk more than 3 feet so I wanted to make a payment for her and they would not take my payment without her card even though I had her number with me and wanted to make a $100 payment towards her bill they would not do it I had to have her card.!I tried calling the 1-800 number that was so unsuccessful they are not so customer-friendly this plays totally sucks the big donkey dick!when I ask for a manager they said the manager was busy with someone else and they couldn't get to me for a while, really is that customer service? This is one of the better Target locations I've been to, where even the children seem better behaved (maybe because this is Marin County). They get a large selection of Go International items and though the store is popular (the only Target in Marin County), it doesn't feel picked over. It has a nice Garden Center. It's located in a large shopping area that also includes Tilly's, Marshall's, Ann Taylor Loft, Pier 1 Imports, Ben Franklin Crafts, IHOP, etc. I used to drive here after work back when I worked in Sausalito and it's not that close but it still felt worth the drive. read more

Meh. The store is ok. I have had some unfortunate experiences here. Getting double charged and things like that. The employees are nice and speedy at check out. The store is clean, and pretty well organized. The employees are helpful when asked etc. what you would expect from a chain store right? But....the online ordering! Oh good Lord! Avoid like a horrible deadly disease! It's never quick, never smooth. The last time I had an online order, for 2 items, it took them 40 minutes to find it and check me out. I was so frustrated. Even worse my husband and kids were waiting in the car, I thought: Oh I will just run in really quick. No. Bad idea. My kids were all screaming when I came back! This is where I like to stop to stretch my legs when driving north from San Jose to Napa. Though it is a little out of my way, its a good half-way point when I make it a point to drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. Its a decent size with a decent food section that you can get some snacks for on the road. The women's clearance section is large, but often cluttered. Avoid the Novato Target at all costs. I spent 2 minutes waiting in a line based solely on the fact that the girl at Guest Services wanted to finish off her insightful review of Joyful Noise. I was the only person in line and was completely ignored. When I had the audacity to interrupt their conversation the girl rolled her eyes and rudely told me to go to the dressing room for answers on whether they had a scarf or not. The girls at the dressing room were even ruder, I asked if they knew where a certain scarf was (there was supposed to be 13 in store) and no one knew a thing, or at lest they pretended. I was recently in my local Target to return a Phone I had purchased. I was helped by Devan. I had a difficult problem of returning a phone I had not used but had been activated, and it took a great deal of perseverance to find the problem, discontinue the service and apply the refund. I also had a hospitalization, different cell carriers, etc. Devan handled the problem with kind determination and even though customers began getting a bit impatient, he instantly acknowledged them and put them at ease. He may lack experience, but makes up for it in great Customer Service. I have been shopping at Target for years, and this is the first time I have written a review. Now that I have a baby, my criteria for judging fabulousness have dramatically shifted. There, you've been warned. My sling-bound infant and I spent 5 hours at this Target one Tuesday morning while I had my car windows tinted half a mile away. No one bothered us, wondered why we were still there, and best of all, the girls running the dressing room area didn't bat an eye when I asked to hang out in a dressing room for what turned out to be two 45-minute periods, getting the baby out of the sling, nursing, changing her diaper, and letting her stretch her legs. It was a hard enough day being without a car or a place to hang out with a kid who hates strollers, so thankfully, Target was a neutral ground where we didn't have to explain ourselves or even be looked at funny. Oh, and I did end up spending about $70 for a bunch of household items I kind of needed, and was able to find just about everything I wanted. Kudos to Target for pulling me away from Amazon for a day! read more

I used to love the shopping experience at Target in Novato. That all changed two weeks ago. When I started to walk in the store I was practically accosted by a solicitor asking for money for some unknown organization. He was making sexual and rude comments to the women walking past. I walked into Target and told the first person I saw who was an employee what was happening here. He contacted someone on his two-way radio yet when I walked out of the store, the solicitor was still there. He asked me for a quarter for his unknown charity. When I said no, he said something obscene under his breath. I walked away and honestly forgot about it. When I went back to Target today, the very same solicitor was out front asking for money again. I told him forget it and he again said something obscene. I went to the store manager whose nametag said Debbie F. She said someone else could take care of me. I told her I wanted to speak to her as she was the manager. She said she had to leave and threw her purse over her shoulder. I told her I would call corporate instead. She said "fine" and left. Now I ask you: is this the kind of manager that runs the Target store? Evidently the answer is yes. True to my word, I contacted corporate headquarters immediately from inside the store. I gave them a report of what happened and also sent a lengthy email explaining the situation. Target has a sign out front stating no soliciting. However at the store in Novato they don't care. The manager proved that. I don't care how inexpensive their products are. I will not set foot in the Novato Target store again. Who needs to be harassed by a cretin when you're walking in the front door? And why spend money at a store with a manager who obviously has zero experience in customer service? Is she the one who's training new employees? So sad!!! And people bring their children here? I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

It just keeps getting worse. I'm still as helpless as a newborn kitten in the face of cheap Chinese goods, it's true. But I am soooooooooooo sick and tired of going to this Target looking for stuff in the Sunday flyer only to find it's NOT THERE. This week, it was a planter box and window panels. Last week, it was a DIFFERENT set of window panels. Also? About six week ago I was looking for a certain lamp online. Their website said it was instore. I went to store. It was not in store. I asked associate. They said all floor lamps had been removed. The next day I called about said lamp because the website still said it was there. Associate kindly checked for me and said there were 4 there. I asked if they could hold one. Because it was clearance it was a big NAY, madam. Six hours later I got there. No lamps. Again. Two wasted trips. AND.....the last two times I've been there they've rearranged the store in a way that makes NO sense. Note to management: IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!!
