Upon entering I was greeted by an employee who shared her name and asked what brought me in. After telling her, instead of showing me around, asking a million questions, or telling me everything about the store, she just referred me to areas I needed and allowed me to browse in peace. The space was spacious. I gather inventory changes, but when I went there were mostly couches. However, there were also tables, some patio items, rugs, chairs, storage (shelves, bookcases), and a few other items types. I didn't see a lot in terms of decor (throws, pillows, vases, etc). Unfortunately, none of the sofas were my style. Most of their items had a modern and retro look. And far bigger than my space could acommadate (sensibly). Although it's the outlet prices were still pretty high. I was looking for miid-level so even if I liked a sofa, at $3k plus it wouldn't have worked. Thankfully there were other furniture stores in the area so it's not like I traveled out there for nothing.

There were a lot of staff working and they do make commission. *Read all of the reviews- I had a good experience but we didn't buy anything so can only speak on the selection and atmosphere. Looking at other people's reviews, it doesn't seem like they have good customer service once you purchase something. That makes me want to give them 2 stars. Best auctioneer in Midwest, best auctioneer in the USA…read more We have bought a lot of material at this auction house for years in the past, when in the St Paul, MN area. (web site is www.lutherauctions.com) They are truly selective with what quality material they sell. You won't find total junk here. What differentiates Tracy Luther (the owner) from all other auctions is that he is way ahead of his time in merging 'entertainment' with 'auctions'. Yes, Tracy Luther is a true entertainer, and a knowledgeable one, and he puts up a great show each time. Buying with him is fun that way, and I bet that sellers of estates achieve much higher prices with him, because buyers there are prepared to pay for the high entertainment value he adds to his auctions. What is also enjoyable is how well organized his auctions 'flow', without any significant hitch and they are very fast. Tracy Luther is even successful with his staff, as I experienced when I coincidentally met someone online who had worked for him for years and still sang his praise extensively. Yes, his own people love working with him. And, as far as cost, he is relatively inexpensive, with a 15% commission to buyer in a time where many charge an absurd 20% for much less. Tracy Luther is an auctioneer who should be a model for all, but is unfortunately still the exception.

I wrote a polite email regarding a possible issue with the lot. I get a call from Tracey and he approaches the problem with a flippant attitude and 0 care for taking care of the customer. I rarely frequent a place for this long. Apparently a few hundred dollars is more important to him than working politely and respectfully with his customers. Luther auctions is not an auction house I will do business with any longer and you better come ready if you have an issue because Tracey needs the money. Good riddance Luther auctions. Apparently they think you need them more than they need you!

Customer service-As an example this purchase is going to be picked up by our movers and transported to our new house out of state. Eric complete understands this process and was ready to help and ensure everything worked out smoothly. Another example since we are trying to match colors. Eric said bring in a drawer or shelf from your old furniture so we can 100% match things. 2. Selection-If you like mission style furniture this is the place. Huge selection and huge number of stains. 3. Quality-It is unsurpassed. No ifs ands or buts. 4. Sustainable-They have their own tree farm and provide wood to the craftsmen. 5. Price-We looked at buying similar furniture where we were moving. The cost was 2.5 times more. Even with moving it was a no brainer. Whether you are in state or out of state this is the place to go. I cannot recommend them enough.
