I was parked fairly close to Kohl's at Maplewood Mall. After doing some major damage at FYE, I decided to call my shopping excursion a day and headed to my car. I cut through Kohl's to get there. It may have been the first time that I have visited a Kohl's and didn't buy a thing. I probably shopped so such at various Kohl's stores throughout the Twin Cities on this vacation that I was good by the time I hit this store. I like when Kohl's is attached to a mall. You can enter and exit the store without going through the mall. This store does not have a built-in Sephora. However, it does have a number of strengths. I like the clearance section for women's clothing. It is next to the Croft & Barrow clothing. The clearance section has some decent deals if you enjoy finding gems and heavily reduced prices. I am such a fan of small kitchen appliances. I spent quite some time looking at the PowerXL stuffed wafflizer. You can stuff waffles with whatever fillings you'd like. It looked insane, but it intrigued me. The Hallmark section is a staple at all Kohl's stores. This one is no different. Valentine's Day merchandise was out in early January, featuring Snoopy. I didn't really need another puffy coat or jacket. This store had long, light puffy coats that looked nice. It would have been cool if each one had a two-way zipper on it. I feel that my expectations were set way too high here. Kohl's tends to have sales all the time. The deals are great, including the ones at this store when I was there. Curbside pickup is also available. You head over to customer service to fetch your order. It's a clean store. I enjoyed browsing around. Whenever I'm back in Maplewood, I'd drop by this store again and perhaps buy something before I hit FYE! (37) read more

They get a star for convenience of the customer service desk! And another one for the employees hard work. The Kohls App assigned to this location automatically changes your Drive Up order to pickup. That being said Christmas at Kohls is not the time to wait in line at the customer service line in store. All returns and Kohls pickup are the same LINE! If you're going to offer Drive Up then offer Drive Up. Other stores don't change their methods after you pick up. Also the app will not let you cancel your order until the pickup window has closed 7-10 days later. read more

They have really stepped up their customer service, not that they weren't friendly before, but all the staff at this location is extremely friendly and helpful. Stopped in the other day with my mom looking for new pillows. Found some for a steal. Nice ones for $5. Store is clean and well organized at this location. Staff is friendly, helpful and makes sure to greet people as soon as they enter the store. This location isn't the one I usually shop at, but will definitely return. read more

Was not impressed at all! The store was a Hot mess! Mis-Marked clothes all over, horrible selection the only good thing I can say is the one person working was friendly. I felt bad for her as it was so slow and people were unhappy with things! read more

I really like Kohls. They always have a sale, plus there is ALWAYS a 15% or 20% coupon you can find with a quick search online. This one is closest to my house so it's the one I frequent the most I suppose. The thing I like best is that my kids grow out of things so fast that I hate to spend tons of money on clothes for them. Kohls carries a line called Jumping Bean that always has a great selection of pants and tops that change with the seasons. Most of the time they're about $5/item and then add your discount on top of that. It has provided a great deal many, many times. I wish Kohls had a better petites department as I have short legs and it can be challenging to find pants that fit. I can, in the Petites, but the selection isn't great unless I like dressing like a 65-year-old. read more

Came here to just browse around and ended finding a couple good things that were on sale. When it came to checking out the lady at the register wanted to tell me that the item wasn't even on sale. I just love how she can automatically tell me the item wasn't on sale without even verifying. Then the cashier next to her wanted to be part of the conversation and get an attitude with me. I offered to go back and take a picture of the sale price tag and the other cashier wants to be mad at me. This location is just a mess and I will be going to another Kohl's elsewhere. My husband and I were looking to purchase a new vacuum cleaner that retails for almost $700.00 We needed assistance before we were willing to cough up that amount of money walking blind in to a sale. We'd already been to Macys and were ready to purchase, but we couldn't find a sales associate to ring the purchase up! So we finally gave up and walked away. We saw never saw anybody who worked there. We arrived at Kohl's & we have questions about the product and two separate clerks helped us. One in particular, DEBBIE, went out of her way to be conscientious and thorough. We purchased the vacuum & earned 120.00 in Kohl cash, & qualified for 15% off on our next purchase.Today I decided to purchase a Bissel Spot Bot. I had trouble ordering it online, so I called the store. A real person answered the phone! It was the same lady! She fixed everything up, so all I had to do is go to Customer Service pick it up. She couldn't be any nicer, or knowledgeable, or better groomed, ambitious or capable of knowing who to call if she doesn't have the answer. She gave the kind of Customer Service you used to get. There were a couple of other clerks who helped here & there and and they were also knowledable, & professional in their attire.
