I like target for gift ideas, for whoever, random household appliances and kitchenware and accessories. I also feel like they have some decorative items for the house, that are generally not too bad lookogand slightly better quality than Meijer for me. They are a bit picked over and some shelves and areas are empty and waiting for new inventory. Valentine's Day stuff is creeping in already. There are limited lines on this New Year's Day today. The longest line is for the self checkout. Only one lane open for a manned register. I think I can't check myself out since I have a gift card I am purchasing. They finally opened another register. Now a 3rd register. How frustrating for the folks that were towards the front of the line and now got jumped by the back liners that moved faster to the now 2nd and 3rd opened registers. Argh! It's looks like the lady in front of me bought all the small and discounted crud off the shelves. No kindness around here since I have one thing. Looks like stuff for Chanukah since it's multiples of little useless stuff. I guess even this place attracts some less than stellar folks. Luckily it didn't take me a whole half hour just to check out today, because of the old lady that was giving the cashier woman a hard time, even so much as to ask for her manager's help even. Target is all over the place with some highs and lows and this place is no exception. In the winter time they don't plow the parking lot very well but in the summer time there's no snow at all LOL. I went there for things on sale and they are fully in stock which is a nice plus. But a negative for this location is the checkout lines that are way too long. I'm not sure if it's a head cashier or manager that's in charge of them but they don't seem to have enough cashiers in place to handle the flow of customers at the time of day. Everyone seem to be working, but no one wanted to help customers the one guy who did help me was extremely rude and impatient. I was about to walk out avoid this target. Love the selection at target. Prices can be over the top at times but generally okay. My main frustration is that their curbside people never just check the delivery code and put my groceries in their trunk; they make me roll down my window and list my info and what i bought. Just extra steps that i feel are unnecessary just because they wanna confirm an order as "delivered" before they get to my car. read more

Now I know target has LP people in regular clothes in the store, but maybe don't hover near the only customer in a section with your radio on. It's pretty obvious what you are doing and it's very awkward for both of us. At least turn your radio off or do a better job of being inconspicuous. read more

One of the older target stores...If nothing else I wish they'd update the layout of this location. In the newer targets, all of the practical/functional stuff (e.g. Pharmacy items, cosmetics, household cleaners, etc) are proximal to each other. In this store, you have to go to the other side of the store to get cleaning products. It just doesn't flow... Also this location is smaller so doesn't have as much merchandise and the aisles are smaller than the newer stores. read more

Horrible place!! I went today to get boots for my daughter, as we finished with that I happily went over to women's clearance.. So, I'm browsing the jeans/slacks and my 4 beautiful girls are circling the racks, my baby (3) was right by me.. She goes "mom look what I found!" I was like wtf!!! After gathering myself I went to checkout. I asked for a manager. As we paid for the shoes he walked up. I explained what happened and all he could say was "wow" oh and I'll talk to my employees. I went to pick up a ps5 from this location, when the guy went to get it he said he would be right back, then got the manager and she told me that she could not release the item which makes no sense because it was the correct location even though they were telling me maybe I was at the wrong location, but the worst part is that it was marked as picked up even though I didn't get my item, which is absolutely ridiculous and it didn't refund me, and when I showed them this they didn't care so I left because it was a huge waste of time, I had to be on a call with CS for an hour just to get my money back, I'm for sure not going to this target again. P.S. they never pick up their phones no matter which department you try to connect to, absolutely ridiculous!!! read more

Target's clothing and makeup goods are upgrading as a lot of my friends tell me to check it out. For those who are going to university this fall I would strongly recommend to go and get your necessities from target because they have good quality priced goods. Target food quality is not the best though and each time I went I had to wait a long time to even order since no employees were there. Also the service is not good as it makes my day kinda bad to be honest. However everything from school suppose to swim suits are good at Target. read more

As far as Targets go, this one is one that I tend to stray away from. The store is out dated and usually dirty with cluttered aisles. It always seems to be busy, but little attention is given to the details that make your shopping experience a great one. I'll go here in a pinch, but wouldn't recommend it to my family or friends. read more

This is a very nice store. Everyone there is polite and the store is very clean. Every employee that I encountered said Hello and wished me a nice day, including the young man getting carts in the parking lot. Times are crazy right now and retail folk are taking a beating. I have yet to have a great experience here... I have no idea but every time I come here the lines are insanely long and they will only have one register open... It will be like 9pm on a Monday, which I wouldn't expect their busy time to be... Additionally, I feel like the womens shoe section is always picked over... I will say that customer service was relatively helpful when I came to return sheets that had ripped.... I asked other people in line the last time I was there if they wait a long time in line at this location and they said yes... Don't come here if you are in a rush... read more

Seriously I don't even know why I bother with this Target. I've always experienced bad customer service here with employees who are uneducated about their own coupon policy and how couponing works. I came in to purchase diapers and was charged for four boxes instead of the three I actually purchased. I realized this when I went to the car because the amount just didn't add up for me. I left the diapers in the car and headed back in to speak to customer service which only had one cashier with a long line of customers. They asked another cashier to help and she was definitely no help at all. She seemed new and confused on what my issue was. After explaining it to her several times because she couldn't do math, she was able to refund me for the additional box. My other issue was that they only deducted two coupons and not the one that was on cartwheel. After bringing her to the original cashier and back to the customer service desk she still didn't know how to refund me my $2. She asked another cashier who argued with me about the fine print of.l the coupon. She said I cannot use all those coupons and how it was one per purchase. Yes one per purchase means one item, that's different than one per transaction. Plus if it didn't work then why was I able to use two coupons on the three boxes of diapers I bought?!!! Obviously she had to manually override the coupon but they were both incompetent and me being pregnant And already fuming I told them forget it and took my receipt and left. I will never again shop at this specific Target. I only came here because I was going to the supermarket across the lot. ZERO stars if I could! I hope the manager at this store will speak with their workers and educate them on how coupons really work. read more

Nothing to write home about but it gives you what a typical Target store can offer besides the food of the super target. However it is close to the mall and the freeway and the back street makes it easily accessible to avoid some of the mall traffic. It's not the closest to my house but when I am at the mall it is easier to make a quick stop here. read more

Nothing quite matches walking into Target on a sunny, bright morning in search of a sunhat, picnic supplies, and maybe a cup or bowl in bold, primary colours. The store tends to fill my need for strong, vibrant shades with a satisfactory edge. The John R location stands out only for its proximity to Oakland Mall, a relatively quick on and off the freeway. The shop feels tired and a bit dated to someone familiar with SuperTargets and grocery-equipped Greatlands I hope will migrate over here. The fixtures are duller, the carpets and floors more worn, and stock less sorted or in-stock-ier. Sometimes I manage to snag size 10 shoes or mediums when the other stores are wiped out, but not frequently. In particular the women's section gets pretty picked over and the clearance racks rarely net me the finds I get elsewhere. Parking in Target is a study in patience and practice for rush hour. The huge lot shared by Joanns, Dunham's, and other major chains demands a little more than usual. Park farther back and you don't have to fight for space or fear a fender bender because someone wanted that fourth spot down the aisle. I prefer the Target in Troy or 12 and Dequindre for sheer cleanliness, brightness, and freshness. I don't know, there's just something about the place which drags. It's perfectly respectable, but not quite up to par with the other stores nearby. read more

What is happening at this Target? I was in this location a couple of days ago, and it was like a disaster area. Shoes were unorganized and thrown around. Women's clothing was a hot mess. Clothes were hanging off of hangers, laying on the floor. Thrift stores are better organized. Maybe they are understaffed, or maybe management was having an off week? This store needs to get it together. Do yourself a favor and head up to Target at Dequindre and Big Beaver. That store is spotless. One last little thing, the caramel corn smell is nauseating. Why is that the first thing that hits you as you step in? It's sadly, overall kind of gross in there. Nobody likes to shop in a dirty store. read more

Let me start off by saying this place is a mess from the building to the staff it's all a mess. I first walk in expecting a bright friendly clean target like most of them are BUT this place was dark, dreary and it almost felt depressing very melancholy like. The floor had all these black stretch marks from shoes squeaking on them and every employee I walked past didn't even say hi How are you or do you need help and not even a split second of eye contact very rude there is also a girl in the clothing department very young dark hair and dressed slightly different from everyone none the less she was very rude to me I didn't get her name fully but it belong with a P, ignoring me and putting her work before me not even paying attention to me when I needed help after trying to shop I was so annoyed by what I was greeted by and how I was treated I rushed myself to get out of there. Upon trying to exit it took forever for the cashier to bag people's items. While that was going on a bald black man came down yelling about how one worker was bad at their work. It made me feel bad for whoever the worker was if that's how he treats workers I'd never want My kid working there read more

This location is the cesspool of all Targets. The employees are rude, slow, and can't even look up to say neither "hello" nor "kiss my butt" while checking customers out. Most of all, the majority of the store looks like drunken wild boars pulled an all-nighter. I drive a few extra miles to avoid this location at all costs and frequent another Target, and I even transferred my prescription to another store to avoid this dump. read more

Most unorganized store I have ever been to. Makes me feel like I'm at an expensive dollar store. I could go to family dollar and find what I'm looking for easier and cheaper.
