Linda went above and beyond!!! I am very pleased with my purchase and the exceptional service I received from Linda

im only giving two stars. i just got my refrigerator in September and now my freezer is gone out and I can't seem to get ahold of anyone. I got my refrigerator from the warren store. when it was brought in it was making this noise but I wasn't trying to complain due to the fact that I was already having trouble getting one from Lowes. now I've just lost food that I just purchased read more

I recommend NEVER ordering anything from American Freight, especially the Warren, MI location. I ordered furniture for my home and only received a parts of my order the day of delivery. NO ONE contacted me to inform me of anything nor provided any solutions to resolve the matter. Their customer service is PISS POOR & their delivery service is a major rip off. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

Ordered a dryer on Monday and went to pick it up today. When I got there I was told it was never supposed to be listed for sale, but they didn't bother emailing me or calling me to let me know. They didn't even bother to cancel the order or refund my money until days later when actually went into the store to pick up my order. I would not recommend shopping here. read more

I had recently moved to Huntington WV from Mexico and moved into a brand new fully renovated apartment and the holiday season was fast upon me. I will have to say the gentleman at the Barboursville location (manager JaQuan) REALLY hooked me up! I love nice furniture and I had my eye on the Malibu set as my bedroom colors are cream, black and gold. Not ONLY did he give me a HUGE discount and hooked my daughters bedroom up after a few inconveniences (from staff that had not followed his instructions) he made SURE I was taken care of! If you need someone to service your needs for furniture/appliances and household goods JaQuan is the person you need to talk to! Let him give you quality service, straight forward answers and no hidden back door costs! 3110 US-60 B, Huntington, WV 25705 Give him a call he is there daily! read more

Kayla is AWESOME!!!!! I appreciate her so much ! She was patient and worked with me for the whole week!

BAIT & SWITCH!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!! Purchased a "floor model" dryer from American Freight after our existing dryer broke. After receiving the dryer upon further inspection you can tell the dryer was actually used. The dryer vents were blackened, there were scratches to the interior of the drum and lint in the vents. This is either a total bait and switch or whoever is vetting the items on the website is not labeling items correctly. Spoke to customer service and they unfortunately were not very helpful... Extremely upset with the whole experience... Simply asked for a refund as what I purchased was not what I got..... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING AT AMERICAN FREIGHT!!!!!!!! read more

American Freight Furniture & Mattress - Furniture Stores Near Me - Warren, Michigan

Garbage. The furniture is trash. And they offer a protection plan. DO NOT buy it. The store promises that ANYTHING under the sun will be covered, accidental tears, broken frames, spills, animal messes...NOPE. The claim gets denied. I even said to the salesman, "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." He assured me that this plan was different. Stupid me for believing him. the stores are trash, the products are trash. It's all garbage. I've had my couch for less than a year and it garbage. read more

Scammers. I got on their site to find a low-end washer. Just something that would do for a year or so. I specifically set the filters for the stores I wanted to shop. I found the washer I wanted, ordered it, went through all the payment steps (and incredible upcharges!). The site asked me to choose a day for delivery, so I picked 30 January 2023. I completed my order five days before delivery date...and heard nothing. By Saturday, that nagging feeling just wouldn't leave me. I checked my order online, it now said the machine was back ordered. I called the store I believed I had ordered from (Livonia), only to be told I had purchased from a different store (warren). I called the warren store and was told they didn't have any. Of course I cancelled my order. I checked the site again and found that they play fast and loose with the way they filter which store you are looking at. I looked again on the warren store, that store says online it has three of the washers I tried to purchase. Why does the site say it has three when it doesn't have any? When was someone going to contact me and let me know they didn't have the item I had purchased? Were they just going to wait until I called them on Monday asking where my washer was? Were they going to hope I didn't notice that NO washer showed up? We had reservations about trying them again, after we bought a low-tech refrigerator and they tried to slip out the the promised delivery date for that. (We had to threaten to cancel that order- suddenly they found a way to honor their word.) This time, we're done. Avoid. read more

I bought a fridge from Portage MI Am Freight and the description on line was "open box". I picked it up, it was fully shrink wrapped. I had no idea it would have been damaged. I brought it to a rental property of mine, 60 miles away, hauled it up stairs and through a narrow hallway, paying 2 other people to help only to find upon shrink wrap removal it was absolutely trashed. Scratched and dinged up so bad it was entirely embarrassing to provide it to my new tenant moving in that night. I called American Freight and they said sorry there was nothing they could do about my problem. read more

Mike was extremely helpful. We ordered a couch a month ago. We were told we'd have it in 2-3 weeks. It's now been a month, we still don't have a couch and they're telling us it won't be in until august. We started having payments pulled from our account, recently. After contacting the finance company our selves they let us know they were under the impression that American freight had already delivered the merchandise. We then contacted American freight and were told "Your salesman, Mike, should have contacted you and the finance company so we could push back the contract." Which he did not. So thanks to them completely dropping the ball, we're currently paying for a couch we don't have. Their only answer to this is keep paying or cancel and they'll keep our couch. No offers to try and make things right at all. Completely unprofessional. read more

Made purchase on line and received confirmation by email but no phone call to set up delivery came; when I called they could not find my order; then they did not have the item. I cancelled my order. I did receive my money back. If I had not called them, I doubt they ever would have contacted me. My order seemed to have fallen into a black hole despite the payment having gone through without a glitch. Last thing that pops up before you can submit order is two boxes you must check saying you have read their delivery agreement and their return agreement (I had not seen either). read more

I ordered an oven from TX and they shipped it - nobody called to tell me where it was and the website wouldn't let me schedule an appointment. Finally I reached someone who told me to call another carrier - I did that then they told me I had to call the original carrier because they dropped my oven in transit. When I requested an immediate refund I was given the run around and told I had to wait until the original store received my oven BACK (another 2 weeks) before they would refund my money. Meanwhile, I'm out $2400, I have no oven and can't purchase a new one until I am refunded. read more

Terrible service. The store in Bridgeview, IL gave the fridge away that we had ordered and didn't call us to tell us that it wasn't coming. When my wife called the store to complain they would take no responsibility and kept insisting we call the customer service number and then hung up on her. I work customer service for a living and I would lose my job if I treated a customer like that. read more

Don't trust American Freight. Don't purchase *** My experience with American Freight *** I purchased a dishwasher from https://www.americanfreight.com/ on August 2nd, 2020.  2 weeks later they delivered wrong item - microwave -. I noticed it was the wrong item, and they took it away. But, they never replied or contacted about redelivering the correct item.  I called https://www.americanfreight.com/ following up to receive the dishwasher I ordered, they said they can't deliver the correct item because there is not the same item sold anymore. Moreover, they can't refund money to me till they receive the returned item which is wrong item and they took it away.  I called the store which shipped wrong item to me to ask if they can ship the item I ordered or refund money to my credit card, the manager said there was not that item stocked at the store originally. He told me he can help me nothing and hung up on me.  They charged $723.96 on my credit card, but I haven't received neither the dishwasher I had ordered nor refund.  It's been a month and a half since I paid $723.96. read more

I had to pay an additional delivery fee because they delivered the wrong couch the first time. They delivered the wrong sectional, we paid an initial delivery fee of 85$--then they came back the next day to switch out the couches and we were charged another delivery fee of 45$---for their mistake. Prior to the delivery we were told multiple times by the person at American Freight that we would not have to pay another delivery fee but indeed, we ended up paying another delivery fee. What they do is contract out the delivery service through another company, so that they are not responsible for any delivery issues. Will not go back read more

I never review, but I had to at least put the word out about this place. Bought a $700 sofa, had it delivered. Salesman said I would pay the driver $80 cash. Found out it's a 3rd party service, no problem. I get a call and two people in a beat up van with no logo or uniforms on at my apartment door. They tried two half hearted tries to get it in the elevator. I suggested the stairs and I would help. 3 men going up 12 flights isn't a joy but not too bad either, it would have take us like 10 minutes. They then tell me that it's $10 per flight, in addition to the $80, so a grand total of $200. I said no, I'll just take the $80 back and will go back to the store tomorrow. They kept my $80 and took the sofa back and left. I was left with no receipt or invoice. Went to the store the next day to get a refund or a credit for the situation, and they gave me no explanation. It basically became a tug of war between the delivery co and the store to take blame. The delivery owner honestly said to me 'no one is going up 12 flights'. Even though I paid the man exactly for that reason; to move my furniture upstairs. After about an hour, during which the salesman who sold me the couch kicked me out while I was talking to the manager. He gave me half the money back, we just took it and left and got a refund for the couch. Went to Ikea, got an awesome couch for the same price, with a warranty, and an actual delivery service. They kept our $40, but they lost a $700 piece of business and we found a better couch. EDIT (8/9/2016): AFTER SHARING MY STORY ON FACEBOOK THEY BLOCKED ME AND DELETED MY COMMENT WITH NO RESPONSE OR ANSWER. THIS IS A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION. read more

Same story as others here. I thought maybe those people were not honest or competitors, but I'm in the trap right now. I have ordered a bedroom set and they after 2 weeks of waiting they sent the wrong size headboard. I called them to fix that the seller whi sold me the item is not there anymore and he store manager,Dimon, said it takes up to 1 week to receive the reorder. Today, I called the store and they said not expected to be here before 2 weeks from today. Everyone in that store has different answer and they want me to believe them. STAY AWAY FROM THESE LIERS. We had an overall good experience at American Freight. Our salesperson Greg was so great through all the troubles we had. The first two couches we purchased would not fit through our apartment door. But third time's a charm! Our third couch finally fit. Greg was super helpful through the entire (at times grueling) process of picking out couches, getting refunds, on-time deliveries, etc., and the third delivery was free. Greg was willing to work with us and without him the experience would have probably been even more stressful. However...I had a terrible experience with the delivery guy (who happened to be the same guy on all three deliveries). I know that American Freight contracts out to a third company for their deliveries. This delivery guy was very unhelpful, rude, and argumentative. It was obvious he didn't want to help us whatsoever and just cared about getting his money. For the third delivery, he even straight out asked for a tip afterwards. I adamantly believe in tipping, but it's difficult to want to tip someone who has awful customer service skills. So beware of the delivery company American Freight uses, they are not worth the $100! read more

We moved from Miami, FL and came with no furniture. Looking to furnish our house quickly, we went to American Freight to check out their selection. We were happily surprised. They had a wide range of things- from really cheap to higher prices items. We settled for the medium priced items and got an entire living room set, dining room table, and bedroom set with a mattress for $3k. No other stores in the area could offer prices even close. We've had everything for about a week, and it's all very nice, sturdy, and comfortable. The couch is fantastic! Our mattress is also amazing. Additionally, the salesman was not skeezy. He tried to give us the best bang for our buck. This place is the marshalls equivalent for furniture stores. Totally would go back! read more

Beware if you're looking to buy a single mattress by itself at the advertised price. That is only the "discounted price" IF you buy the mattress/box set. Terrible marketing, terrible business. I used to buy a lot here but no longer. read more

I'm sorry I have to write an update to this rating. I still stand behind the service and the delivery guys. The merchandise however; BLECH! Our couch has completely fallen apart. The cushions can't be removed, but all the stuffing has completely collapsed. When you sit down, you are poked by protruding springs, or sitting on a 2x4. Even the stuffing on the top cushions has fallen and settled. Of course it is past the warranty time. I am extremely disappointed! I would love to deal with the people, but I would never buy furniture there again! :( read more

Purchased a gas range on the their website and drove for over an hour to pick it up in Watchung, NJ location. Upon arrival I was told that the item is not in stock and was told a story of "the marketing department is screwing us again by listing items that are not available". Wasted 3 hours of my time. This company has some serious issue with their systems/people. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Worst furniture buying experience we have ever had. Long wait for the furniture (much longer than they told us), no calls to let us know when items had arrived, damaged pieces twice, then they said it would be delivered and it wasn't.
