After years of use, I recently had to replace my Cantelibra umbrella. Unfortunately the new umbrella didn't match any of my patio cushions. It was bad. Foam N'More was able to remake matching cushions that not only looked great but were also Fast Dry allowing them to be left outside (vs hauling them all in every night). What a dream! I brought my outdoor cushions here to have them reupholstered. They came home looking like brand new cushions. I'm so happy to have discovered this place. We had a number of cushions for our sectional rebuilt over the past month and they did a fine job even if it felt a little pricey. However this store is an unorganized mess as they called us three times to tell us cushions were ready when they were not. Additionally, the entire store shows a near complete disregard for safety protocols during the pandemic with far less than half the staff wearing masks and even then few were worn effectively. We bought an outdoor set from a big box retailer in late 2018 and the seat cushions absorbed & retained so much water that we could not use it for days after a rain. I've had a lot of things reupholstered in the last few months as we moved & are redecorating. They are the fastest place in metro Detroit, work is excellent & prices are reasonable. My only issue is when I requested bar stools be ready by a certain date, they assured me they could do it. I called several days prior to the promised date & was told yes they would be ready as I was having a lot of people for the holidays. I called to confirm that date I would come to pick them up & they were not done. I was very disappointed so just keep in mind they are fast but if you're in a rush, triple check. read more

So, my mom had a few chairs that she wanted redone, and we've been coming here on and off for the past few months. I don't know how she stumbled upon the place, but it's been a good experience all around. Since my car's bigger, we've been schlepping the chairs back and fourth. I like that they recover a bunch of different things with material that you can bring in yourself. My mom had a few different varieties of fabric to use because she had a few different chairs she wanted redone. The turn around time here is pretty reasonable, so we haven't had to wait terribly long for stuff to get done. The staff is quick to help, and prices seem reasonable and fair. The only thing I find annoying is the way it's set up. When you walk in, it kind of feels like a bit of a mess. tons of chairs and stuff on either side, some to be repaired, some already completed orders. There's plenty of room to move about, but no where to really stand if you're waiting. I feel like they could clear the area a bit more and offer seating for this reason alone. Other then that, we've had marvelous experiences here, and will continue to return in the future. read more

So I needed a new foam insert for the center cushion in my three cushion couch. That is my usual spot and over time it began to develop that "butt dip" outline. I figured a new piece of firm foam would extend the life of my couch. It's about 10 years old, no longer a style I'm crazy about but it'll do. Read the reviews and sounded like pricing was pretty fair and turnaround was pretty quick. Turn around was quick. Ready the same day. But I'll cut to the chase here. I blame myself for this. The lovely girl at the counter had me sit on a couple pieces of foam. I chose the firmest option. This is a standard square cushion. Not an odd size. This "lux" foam piece cost me $50. I was a bit taken aback because I figured foam would be fairly inexpensive. I knew it would have to be cut to size and they put a special batting on it to go into the insert but I wasn't expecting $50. When I went to pick it up, cushion looked great and felt firm but I had to ask..."What is the cheapest foam you would have for an insert like this?" A woman behind the counter, a different person than who helped me initially, told me about $25 but it wouldn't last as long as the luxe version. Yep... I should've asked that before I signed a little paper and had them put in a piece of foam. The thing is, if I tried to sell my couch today I wouldn't get $50 for it. It's in great shape but couches just don't have that kind of resale. This couch is 10 years old. So, totally my fault for not asking in the beginning and insisting they put in the cheap foam. I'm happy to have a center seat cushion that is now comfortable but the other two cushions of my couch, the ones that don't get as much wear, are still firmer and still taller then my new cushion. ‍ It also doesn't feel like it will last with daily use. So in the end, I feel like I kind of wasted $50. In the end, this is a pretty long review for a piece of foam material. I guess my advice would be, ask about all your options. My couch isn't an investment piece. It really didn't need the top of the line. I should've asked, I didn't and that's my bad. read more

I called and immediately got a ballpark price for reupholstering some sofa cushions. That's what I needed to help me budget for this project. I've also been in the store and picked up foam for other projects - their warehouse is huge, and they had everything I needed. I appreciate how fast and friendly these folks are. They ask that you provide the fabric yourself - so you can shop around. A huge difference from other upholstery shops who push their products on you. They are very busy, and currently are booking upholstery jobs 4-5 months out - so if you are in a hurry, you're out of luck. read more

Let me tell you about the journey of the ottoman. I took my ottoman to Foam N' More to have it upholstery, I choose a fabric from one of their sample book @ $125.00 per yard. I was told it would be ready in 4 weeks. I was sooooo excited, I had seen items on the floor of the quality of work, so I felt it would turn out perfect, NOT TRUE. I picked the ottoman up 4 weeks later. When I got it home, and wrapped it I was sooooo disappointed. First the fabric had a imperfection across the top, second the seam around the perimeter of the ottoman was uneven. When I called to tell them about the problem, I was told by Bridgett (very rude), I wanted it back in 4 weeks, and they rush to get it done. I told them I was not satisfied with the workmanship, they shouldn't upholstered the item with that defeated fabric, and seams shouldn't be uneven. They told me to bring it back in 4 weeks, and they would correct it. When I took back 4 weeks later, it took them 6 weeks to get it back. I talked to the manager about the whole situation, and I should be compensated for the inconvenience. The manager said NO, because we had to buy new fabric. I replied, that's because of something you did. I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS TO FOAM FACTORY ON 23 Mile Rd. I would think twice before using them. read more

I ordered 4 pieces 24" x 48" x 3" wedge acoustic foam for a sound booth build i was working on. After a server error on their end charging me 5 times for an order without any confirmation, it took me awhile to get everything sorted out and in contact with someone at the company. After that was settled and I received my foam. Two out of the 4 I ordered were not cut to the exact 48" I needed, and one was nearly torn completely through at one end. I suffered through fixed what was broken and made the length work. However i ended up needing two more pieces of the exact same cuts. I figured why not give them a second shot. I just received the two new pieces and one is cut 5 inches shorter than i need and asked for!! I am not sure how Foam n More can only get half on order right each time but i will Most likely be looking for other options the next time I need some specific foam panels cut. The foam is decent and good quality, but having to Work around not getting my specific sizes, is time consuming and costing me more to fill in the missing spaces with more foam. If I ever choose to use this company again, I will have to buy more length than i need just to make sure i don't get shorted foam! I suggest you do the same as well to avoid not having your panels fit properly. Good luck. read more

I coordinate the upholstery projects for a large antiques dealer. We have used the upholstery services at Foam N' More for several years and have always been satisfied with the quality of work and service provided. I am writing this review as a last ditch effort to communicate my utter frustration. It is my hope that Ross, the business owner, reads this because I doubt he realizes how poorly his staff has handled this matter. In late Feb/early March I had three projects for Foam N More - 2 sets of chairs and a sofa that needed upholstery. When I picked up the second set of chairs, I made a point to ask, in person, if I could drop off the sofa the following day. I specifically asked about dropping off the sofa because I was aware that a back log of sofa projects is a challenge to store and work around. I was given the okay to bring in the sofa and the next day, when our movers went to drop off the piece, they were told no sofas were being accepted. I drove to the shop to sort out the situation while our movers stood by, waiting to unload or leave. When I arrived, I was informed that there was now a waitlist system for dropping off sofa projects. Once your name makes it to the top of the list, you get a call to drop off the sofa and the work begins. The wait list solves the storage and back log problem. I get it. Great idea. The only problem was, this apparently hadn't been clearly communicated to the entire staff because I'd been there, in person, the previous day and asked if I could drop off a sofa and had been told yes. I pointed out the staff person I'd spoken to who confirmed that yes, she had spoken to me. I had hired a moving crew to bring the sofa in. They were waiting in back with the sofa as we stood there. It was not my fault that the staff member had given me the wrong answer. I told them I expected to either leave the sofa or be reimbursed for the cost of the movers. They elected to have me leave the sofa. I was told that the project would take longer than usual to complete as this project would move to the bottom of the list and not to expect anything for up to 8-10 weeks. I told them this was no problem. I was prepared to wait. I paid the 50% deposit. I was nice; I thought we had worked this out and that everything was fine. In mid-May, I called to check on the status and was told the sofa would be finished the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend so I prepaid the balance due and scheduled the movers to pick up the following Tuesday. Fortunately, I called before sending the movers over and was told that no, the sofa was not ready but would be finished the following week. It is now July 9th and they have scheduled four completion dates and missed each one. When I called a couple of weeks ago, I was told that this was all my fault because I'd "jumped the line" on the wait list and now there was no completion date and I cannot call them anymore; they will call me when the sofa is finished. Do I need to explain why this is infuriating? I did not set or even request the missed deadlines, they did. Also, this is a very simple sofa project. It has a wood frame with decking at the base and everything else is loose cushions. I'm not supposed to call you anymore? Fine. We can hash this out in a public review. Is this how your staff treats regular trade clientele? I sure hope someone will call and figure out a way to solve this that doesn't require me being subjected to more condescending, rude behavior. The couch we ordered arrived with cushions that were way over-stuffed. The replacement couch? Overstuffed too. To resolve the matter, the furniture store finally gave us the flatter cushions from the display couch. Problem: With now flatter cushions, our fabric was stretched and saggy. Solution: Foam N' More. Kudos to Aster and the store manager, who both listened and then proposed a solution that worked perfectly. Knowing that we entertain a lot, Aster expedited the repair, and the seamstress did a beautiful job. You can't see that there was ever a problem. This is a gem of a company! Excellent service. On a subsequent visit in June 2014 I needed cushions upholstered, bringing in my own fabric. The manager examined my cushions and wrote a quote of $145. I didn't have the work done just then b/c I didn't have the fabric. A few days later I returned w/ the fabric. I didn't have the written quote w/ me, but the manager wanted to charge me $165. I get that having it in writing would've saved me any hassle. Still, I don't like the practice. Seems dishonest. I'll be looking elsewhere to have the cushion upholstery done. read more

I spoke to Christina and agreed on the details of my order to replace the foam for my silk sofa set. I sent an email confirming the price and details of my order and shipped the emptied cushion covers the following day via USPS. Another person sent an email acknowledging receipt of my cushion covers and sent an invoice. To my surprised, the order had changed and the shipping cost had gone up replied and details of the order had changed and the price went up for the shipping cost had tripled. I called for an explanation but Christina was busy on the other line, so I wrote an email recognizing that the changed order was meant to make my back cushions looking more pleasing (rather than boxy). I asked if they would honor the $30 shipping rate provided in an earlier email. I quickly received a replay from Christina that they refigured shipping to $50 plus $10 extra for insurance. I would have given them FOUR STARS but I figured that Christina deserve a a FIVE STAR for now. I will update my review upon receipt of my order. Ask for Christina when making an OUT OF STATE order! Foam N More DAMAGED (beyond use) all three of my chairs. I gave them three seat cushions from vintage Knoll chairs. Each cushion has a metal bottom with 6 brackets. The brackets are soldered to the metal base. The brackets have screws that screw into the wood frames of the chairs. Foam n More Broke SEVEN of 18 brackets. Yes, 7 of 18. Six of the seven were completely missing. The 7th was loosely attached to hide damage. As a result I cannot properly attach the seats to the frames....they shift when you sit down. My only potential solution is to buy metal strips and screws, cut the metal strips to the proper lengths, drill holes in those strips, and solder/epoxy the strips to the metal base.....complicated and perhaps unworkable. What was even more disturbing was the fact that the company was completely UNapologetic. No remorse, no apology, no suggestion of a refund - NOTHING. They couldn't care less. When I told them about the missing brackets they had me walk to the workshop area and discuss it with the person who worked on my seats. He vaguely remembered some pieces on his desk and spent a few minutes looking for them. After a few minutes he simply walked away from me and his work area. I thought he was simply looking elsewhere. As it turns out, he simply got sick of looking and just walked away without telling me why!!! Absolutely INSANE. So, I now have Three antique Knoll dining room chairs that I can no longer sit in until I buy the appropriate tools in hopes that I can fix these. Futhermore, the seam on the reupholstered chair back I had them do is totally UNEVEN. It looks like CRAP. Lastly, they told me the cushions would be done in 3-4 weeks and it took nearly 5 weeks. I have ordered memory foam for my bean bags. Gave the measurements and they said its 20pounds per each bean bag. Got 40lbs for two bean bags. All 40lbs went in one bean bag and still it has settle down and needs 10 more pounds. You can imagine a bean bag of 53 lbs. Horrendous experience with this seller. After all this they are asking me to buy some more to fill in. INSANE advise. Conclusion: Memory foam provided by this company is rubbish and very small (most is less than pea size). I would say it is the wastage from other products they make. It just settles down at the bottom like sand. Not at all suitable for bean bags. DONOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. read more

They were already using them before I started, and we continue to use them for lack of time to find another company, and generally they already have all of our cutting templates. I needed an emergency cushion for my family room couch and I had do a walk in. Man....I was pleasantly greeted by a young lady (I think it was Kelly). She asked me the pertinent questions and explained the various foams they provided. I gave her my measurements and in about 20 minutes I walked out with 2 cushions for around 50.00!!
