I'd accept that for $5 a yard fabric but not for $25 a yard fabric. I guess I need to make a trip to London or NYC to get decent fabric.

For the prices they charge and low-quality / discontinued fabric, this is far from an upscale fabric / upholstery atelier. The customer service is worse than the product and presentation. Upon walking in, no one greeted me, despite the fact that two employees were chatting at the central desk near the door. I found my way to the back area with the upholstery fabric. I wandered around a bit looking at the myriad sample decks. Because there was no information or pricing on anything, I returned and waited for the woman at the central desk to finish her chit-chat before acknowledging me. She apologized for being short-staffed (so probably not a good time to stand around and chat.) Upon arriving back in the upholstery fabric area, I began explaining my project and said I was seeking fabric in the $30-40/yard range. She abruptly cut me off and said sharply, "Don't have it." I explained I was able to find quite a few options online and know they exist in this range elsewhere and she snapped, "Then go online." I continued the conversation forward by describing the overall dimensions of the cushion seating bench and she again cut me off with a sharp-toned "How many yards?" as if I didn't know how to plan a cushion (or add and multiply). I bluntly replied, "Don't be short with me. I've been sewing for 30 years." I never understand why so-called "experts" (sales clerks) feel the need to be defensive and condescending rather than patient and helpful. There are a million questions she SHOULD have asked before this last one: desired quality, use, color, pattern, touch, durability, etc. Once we discussed details a bit more, she said, "All we have in the $30 range is cotton." If you had something in that range, why didn't you say so in the first place . . . other than trying to steer me into a higher price? When she showed me the swatches, I asked for the specific pricing as nothing was labeled. She replied with, "Can you imagine if we had to price everything individually?" At the end of my rope with her, I simply stated, "Yeah, you would actually have to work." I then turned and walked out. Too bad she couldn't have been attentive, pleasant, and helpful. Had she treated me with respect and courtesy, she would have made nice sale and new customer. Instead, she earned the store yet another 1-star rating on Yelp.

I always feel treated with care and respect, and that means so much to me. I honestly won't go anywhere else, this is the only place I'll ever bring my clothes/dresses. Jessica is always extremely helpful and so genuine, she does her work with her heart. I've always felt so nervous about certain concerns I have and the team has always comforted me. So I walked into The Fabric Boutique at 4pm, a day before the wedding, sobbing. The owner was so sweet and made me feel so much better. She chose a dress for me that would match the bridal party and it fit me like a glove. Because of this emergency situation, she had her seamstresses stop other alterations so they can hem my dress, which I truly appreciated so so much! I don't know what I would do without her help or her team!!!! I recommend her 1000x! I stopped by 5 other shops/boutiques in the area and they all failed me, I should've stopped at The Fabric Boutique first. I highly recommend! You will be taken care of if you come here. Thanks for all of your help, will never forget it!

I've first moved to Mason in 1975 and have just finally made my way into this great fabric shop…read more Jeanean's shop has been a staple of downtown Mason for decades! Sadly, it was the Corona virus and my need for fabric to make masks ( to donate ) which finally introduced me to this sweet lady and her successful shop. The place is wall to wall with quality quilting grade fabrics and associated trims and products. She is so helpful and energetic. The ladies shopping seemed very engaged and interactive with her and finding lots in her store as well. I found everything I needed for sure. Lots and lots of beautiful fabric. Highly recommend this hometown favorite.

The really special thing about this store is all the ribbon and trim. There are hair bows already made up and for sale, or you can buy some of the ribbons and make your own. Bring your little girl here and she'll pick out something beautiful to tie back her hair. Be sure to see my photos, and check out the little snap purses made from the Offray ombre ribbon roses. I walked out today after they cherry picked their "preferred demographic" and walked them to cash registers that were SUDDENLY open, while those of us who didn't fit their homogeneous profile of "ideal customers" continued to stand in line, and were told "Oh, they aren't taking anymore if we DARED to attempt to to use the cash registers that magically opened. On top of that the organization of the store would only appeal to those whose brain enjoys a Pinter play put on in an elementary school gymnasium by mimes. In short: it makes no sense, and is often subjugated to the "season of the moment" but MONTHS before that season is actually here. I know I'm not looking for Christmas decorations on Labor Day, but maybe the chunky, middle aged, "blue jean and sweater" crowd is, and, after all, it is that demographic Hobby Lobby cares about, and the rest of us are "defective" if we don't agree.
