Could not be happier with two recent jobs and at least five others stretching back to 1996. These are really good,people doing exceptional work. I needed some cushions recovered and took in cushions from another piece in the room that were done by Ann and Carol in 1999 to match fabrics. After 20 years these cushions were still perfect looking. The new ones look amazing - beautiful workmanship that I know will also last. I showed Ann a picture of a piece of furniture I found on line- a large banquette for a dining room. She had it made for me and then upholstered with the fabrics I selected with her help, and delivered it today. It is beautiful and customized to exactly what I wanted. She took extra care to make sure it is quality construction that will travel well as we will be taking it out of state (I'd rather work with someone I know and trust and transport it than try to find someone in another state). Ann helped me select the fabric, giving me both good design advice, (which she has done in the past and I've been really happy with) and good information about how to select a performance fabric. All in all this is one business along with only a handful of others that I can think of that has proven to be consistent, high quality, and great to deal with over a period of decades. read more

Outstanding service and workmanship. We had an overstuffed chair and ottoman to reupholster, had an idea of the look we wanted to achieve but didn't know where to begin looking at all the fabric choices. Ann, in the design studio, knew all the fabric samples well and took us directly to a book where we got on track with our selection. They put us on their schedule (they run about a 6-8 week advance scheduling program), picked up the pieces of furniture according to the time scheduled and turned the work around in the estimated time. The workmanship is amazing! Our fabric had a directional print and required and eye for design layout and matching. It was done with precision. The price was more than fair. It is hard to find good furniture that is well made nowadays so rebuilding and recovering a good piece is worth the investment. I read the review from Scott P and don't for a minute believe they have 'old bats' in the back room doing the work. Maybe he doesn't truly understand the skill needed to reupholster furniture because I can't see them being able to do anything of quality for $25 bucks. Heck, a quality car wash can cost $25 bucks. We highly recommend Carol's Upholstery. They do beautiful work. When your piece is finished, it will look brand new. Every seam is perfect, unlike anything that you can buy new today. Reupholstering is not cheaper, necessarily, than new, but the quality is so much better. You will not have the fraying seams, welting that moves around or sloppy craftsmanship that you see in the new furniture. My couch was a quality brand name piece, which I found very comfortable. Over the years, the inserts had compressed. After searching for something new that was comfortable, I decided to have it redone. Ann was very helpful as far as finding color choices, teaching me about the fabric qualities, loaning us sample books, and ordering swatches. When the couch was finished, it was beautiful! After it was delivered, we realized that the legs were too high. She immediately came out with another set. Problem solved. Also, she will pick it up and deliver it. They do amazing work! 8/2022 A very nasty woman was working at Carol's Upholstery when we stopped in and asked to see Carol, who my boyfriend thought he knew, to ask her to do some upholstery work for us. When we went in, the mean old lady in the building was offended when we asked to see "Carol". This woman said she has been in business for thirty-some years and refused to have "Carol" come out to speak with us. "Carol", if that was her, was seated in a back room and would not come out to chat with us. It seemed very shady and suspicious about the way they acted. The old woman said that they were closed but it was only 5:30 and they close at six according to the hours posted on the door. She said that if we don't leave, she was going to call the police-only because we asked to speak to "Carol"!! We immediately left vowing to never go back or to do business with such rude, irrational hostility directed to a potential customer for no reason just because we wanted to give them work! I recently had a loveseat and sofa reupholstered. I was also wanting to modify the arms of these pieces. Beyond the actual reupholstering, which is nothing short of superb, I cannot begin to tell you how appreciative I am for the time and education I received from Ann to help me make a wise choice in fabric selection. Without her guidance, I would have definitely taken steps in the wrong direction. The service I was provided went well beyond my expectations. I see reviews here where people were put off by the personality/style of the individual they dealt with. I was in that shop for several hours on a few occasions and witnessed many other customer interactions. A direct style isn't being rude, it just isn't "soft-serve" or being told what you want to hear. And for the record, I am known to be sensitive!! read more

We recently had cushions from a couch and matching chair with footstool refurbished by Carol's. The original fabric was in excellent condition and we loved both the chair and couch, but after 15 years of use, cushions needed new stuffing. Ann came out to our home to assess a creaking in the couch and repaired it well. She took our cushions to the store with her to refurbish with new stuffing to our liking. We now have the furniture renewed perfectly versus buying new pieces to replace it, which was not something we wanted to do! We couldn't be more pleased with the furniture we had reupholstered at Carol's. We needed two couches,one needing the springs to be redone, two recliners,both needing the mechanisms fixed, and an arm chair all reupholstered. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. All our pieces are not only gorgeous, but look and feel brand new. Picking out the fabrics and patterns was tedious, but once the decision was made, we were given help how to make the patterns and colors come together. All the furniture looks beautiful in our new living room and a recliner looks and fits in with our new bedroom furniture. We would recommend Carol's Upholstery without hesitation. Very pleased with the quality and timeliness of work performed. I brought 6 dinning room chair cushions in that were 20 years old and completely worn out. I had already purchased the fabric previously as I had planned to recover them myself. I'm glad I chose not to and left the work to a professional. Carol and her team did a fantastic job using new high density, hi resilient foam that I requested. I would not have been able to achieve this level of quality on my own. We recently had some living room furniture redone at Carol's and we are very happy with the result. Last year, we had some cushions recovered and they did an excellent job with those too. The fabric selection is great and Ann even worked with Calico fabrics to make sure I had just the one I wanted. These people work hard and do a very professional job. IMPRESSIVE!!! I entrusted this company with a vintage piece of furniture I inherited from my late aunt and uncle. It was a fabulous piece but needed new inners and to be reupholstered.
