Accountability. Our hot tub has never worked properly. They do not seem to care. When I called Jacuzzi they don't have record of all the service that has been done which is supposed to always happen in case they need to scrap the hot tub. Which needs to happen. They leave and it is weeks before they can fix anything then when a technician calls in sick the bump you another week as opposed to fitting you in the next day. Absolutely terrible company. read more

I purchased a shuffleboard table from Watson's of Novi last weekend. My sales person, Amy was very professional and pleasant to deal with. She knew her product and did an amazing job covering all aspects of the product from the table itself to what was involved in the delivery and setup of the shuffleboard table. the table was delivered to today, a week from the date of purchase. the delivery guys did an amazing job bringing the table downstairs into the basement with no problems whatsoever. They worked diligently to set the table up and ensure that it was level and ready to played on. Both gentlemen were extremely professional and worked hard to ensure that the installation of the table was completed quickly with no issues whatsoever. it was a great experience from the beginning of the purchase until the shuffleboard table was installed. We were referred to this location by our neighbors who bought their deck furniture last summer. Today, we purchased a sectional unit in addition to a high top table and 4 chairs, all with covers to protect during the winter months. This review is only specific to their dart department. I used to frequent the Allstate on Telegraph in Redford and it was expansive! Tons of flights with all sorts of designs, the a nice selection of darts from Piranhas to Hammerheads, dart cases and all the little parts and supplies you could want to customize yours darts. This location had a nice little cross-section but not nearly the breadth of the Redford store's. The staff here was really nice though. They had some nice board setups and a plastic tip selection too but just not quite what I was hoping for. eBay it is. read more

My barstools took much longer than expected. When I picked them up,they gave me the wrong stools. They delivered the right ones to my house. They did not come assembled. If they were not special ordered,I would have returned them. You have to take them apart inorder to assemble them. On the list of tools,the first one is a mallet. I am going to have to hire someone to put them together. read more

This place screwed me twice & attempted to screw me a third time (thankfully I was able to stop them). I moved a pool table from the Detroit suburbs to Arizona & Allstate Home Leisure did the disassembly, crating of the slate, & loading into the truck in Detroit. My folks have retired & are downsizing; they no longer wanted their pool table so they gave it to me and this endeavor was how I got it to my place. I choose this place because they were the only place I could find that was willing to do crating of the slate. Strike 1: I wanted this move to occur before the Christmas holiday. I had several conversations with Allstate Home Leisure before they finally dropped that they wouldn't be able to help me until after Christmas. This would have been nice to know the first time I talked to them instead of the fourth. With the monkey wrench thrown in, I reschedule. Strike 2: After Christmas, I get everything scheduled and explain to them my situation that I'm going to be transporting the pool table across country. I also tell them that I need the first time slot that day because of my schedule. Flash forward to the day before the work is to be done (when they finally figured out that days schedule) and I'm informed that I was given the afternoon time slot instead. When discussing this with the scheduler, she was unaware that I was waiting on them loading the truck before driving across country. She was also unwilling to accommodate me in any way. I spoke to the manager & same story... she was apathetic and said there was nothing she could do. Strike 3: When the workers showed up, they were confused by the empty house they were in. No one had told them about my situation or that they would be loading my truck. They even tried to weasel out of crating the slate twice. First they said it wasn't necessary fir a short move; to which I replied we're driving to Arizona. Then they came back a while later and said it should be okay without crating. I told them in no uncertain terms that the reason I hired them was to crate the slate & that I expected them to do the crating. They didn't have the supplies for crating, so they had to call another truck in with the supplies & tools needed. Conclusion: Based on my experience, I do not recommend this store because they treat customers badly and only care about doing what's easiest and/or best for themselves. To be fair, they did do good work overall. The truck was loaded very well. The slate was crated & secured to the truck sides very well. The rest of the disassembly was done very professionally. My concerns are with the communication problems encountered (communication with the customer, internally at their storefront, and with their own workers), their refusal to accommodate their customers, and their workers attempting to get out of agreed upon work. read more

I purchased gas logs for my fireplace and the customer service was wonderful. They gave me the number of a contractor to install my gas line and he came over within a week of me contacting him and set up my logs and installed my line. Allstate even called me to follow up to see if the contractor they sent to me had come out yet. The pricing was great and I am so happy with my fireplace!! Highly recommend them! read more

Stay far and away from Allstate Home Leisure. I bought a hot tub from them and have had nothing but problems with it. The LED lights go out every 3 or 4 months. Service department is the worse I have ever seen. People show up with the wrong parts, not enough people to perform the service, etc. I spent $16,000 and the lights have worked for 25% of the time. Now it leaks and they can seem to be able to fix it. read more

I purchased a Jacuzzi J365 spa from Allstate Home and Leisure Novi in 2014. All was fine until 2019 when one of the pumps froze up. Allstate replaced it under warranty. This was fine until recently when the same pump they replaced started leaking. It was now not under warranty. They wanted a large amount of money to replace it. I am an engineer and removed it and had it rebuilt by a company I know and respect that has refurbished many spa and pool pumps for me over many years. He refurbished that pump and told me it was a used pump that had been refurbished at some point with inferior Chinese parts. So that is what was used for my warranty repair. This is not the type of service I expect from Jacuzzi or Allstate. read more

Hot tubs are not priced so you're quickly on the shady used car lot situation, they did not disclose Jacuzzi rebate but converted it into "were gonna give you a trade in, and Jacuzzi will match it BUT it still did not equal what I got when I shopped elsewhere. Purchased the same thing with no delivery cost in Toledo and I saved $3k from what Allstate offered. Shop and save don't settle for Allstate. read more

Very un-trusting people here. Lot's of promises on servicing my spa and patio furniture with zero follow through. I was promised delivery on a specific date, only to have to pushed back again and again. I finally had to rent a Penske truck and pick it all up myself. I've had my spa for less than 90 days and its malfunctioning--they are unwilling to service the spa (even though I was promised it wouldn't be an issue) because I live too far away. After spending over $20,000 I'd suggest steering clear of doing any business with this company. They have been nothing but a headache. read more

I bought my Jacuzzi a little over 1 year ago now. I purchased a 2 year parts and labor warranty plus a 5 year shell warranty. 1) The salesperson who sold us the hot tub was just a big talker telling us about how everyone loves him and how he always reaches out to make sure everything got set up and was running fine. He never did any of that. I did have issues with getting it setup and he never answered nor returned my calls. After spending a couple hours under the tub and on FAQ forums I figured it out myself. 2) The installation and set up guys were really good. They were in and out very quickly and made sure all the hookups and electrical posts were set up. They did, however, leave the tub crooked on the hot tub bad when they left. 3) Just recently my hottub started slowly leaking water out of the far right side. I took the panel off myself and found the leak but it is too covered with insulation for me to repair it myself and I don't want to mess with anything and screw up the warranty so I put in a claim with Home Leisure this past Sunday and they said it would be a couple of days. Tuesday comes and no call so I call again and they forgot to put my order in. So on Thursday I have to call again and finally I get transferred to someone who sets me up with a repair date. However, she says that the parts and labor are included in my warranty but I have to pay a $100 service fee so that way the guy can come out and go, "Yep that valve is leaking under the insulation." This was no where to be found in my warranty paperwork nor was explained to me when I spent extra money to receive a warranty. She says that she'd waive the warranty if it's was within a year but since it's 13 months she can't waive it and that poor customer service and illegal contract bargaining is company policy. I will be doing all of my Jacuzzi shopping somewhere else and be calling Jacuzzi hoping to convince them not to do business with such a disreputable retailer. read more

We stopped at the Ann Arbor store today to look at fireplace inserts for a remodel project in our home. When we pulled into the lot there were no cars parked there. We went in and to the fireplace section passing one employee at the front counter who was on the phone. Just after getting to the fireplace section another employee walked by us but did not acknowledge us at all. He went to the front counter and got on the computer. We spent 10 t0 15 minutes looking at the fireplace inserts and doors but neither employee came to ask if they could be of assistance. We headed for the exit, passing both employees at the front counter where neither said anything to us. Glad Allstate can afford to give up thousands in business because we won't be back. read more

NEVER buy a Spa Cover from this company. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! To begin, I purchased a hot tub cover 2 years ago from them. I gave them my dimensions and the spa model. I was told that I do not know how to measure my tub nor do I know how to read the model number listed on the tub. (Quite frankly, I believe I have a pretty good education being an engineer) They manufactured a cover, I picked it up and told them there is no way it would fit. They required me to take it to my house, just to be sure. I returned it the next day. This process took 2 months!!! Then they agreed to send a technician out to measure the tub, and low and behold, I was correct in my measurements. It took an additional 4 months to actually get the cover for the spa. The service department is a complete joke and every time they attempt to resolve a problem, nothing gets resolved. In all honesty, use a different company to purchase a spa cover. I will never do business with them again. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! read more

Bought a set for patio...took it home...started cracking. They stood by it and exchanged for a higher cost one for slightly more. They didn't make the margin they wanted (the sales woman said flat out 'no' to the offer when I told her what it would take to make it right), but the management staff stepped in and did right. Very disappointed in both the Jacuzzi I purchased and the knowledge of the staff. I was told my Jacuzzi used 110 electrical, the first summer using 110 the water was filthy, my daughter got a skin severe/rare skin infection. I struggled with keeping clean, completely frustrated. Eventually I found from the staff that I need 220 electrical, cost $700 to install. The first season the thermostat needed to be be be replaced at $250. They charge $400 to open/close the Jacuzzi for winter which is outrageously high. Now the circulation pump doesn't work, for no apparent reason. I'd never shop there or purchase a Jacuzzi again. read more

I would never use this company again. The contractor they use to install their equipment is a total hack. When working at my house he did clean up after himself, further, while installing the equipment he damaged walls and floors and when asked about the damage he scoffed. Ridiculous. The store is not much better. They ordered the wrong unit and it took weeks to get the right one. In addition, THEY forgot to order a part for the unit that was not on the original quote and wanted us to pay for it. Spectaular. I hope this equipment we purchased lasts forever because I never want to deal with them again. read more
