Josh, Andrew and the rest of the team here is awesome! They've taught us sooo much about how to check and maintain our in ground pool! Sign up for their rewards program by getting their app, it'll save you hundreds of dollars with all of the sales and money back offers. Only downside is that they're pricyyyy! You could find some of the items there for 50% less online or other stores. They also do FREE pool water analysis if you bring in a sample of your water and they tell you how to fix. Leslie's Pool tried to correct the problem, Josh had George agree to install a new liner free of charge. George started the install yesterday 6/16, said he would return on6/17 later in the day. He did not, this is the current condition of my pool as of 6/17. read more

It's nice when you can go into a shop and say I need something to do this and that, but I don't know what it's called. The guy who works here does. My backyard pool was foaming up when the filter was on. Our pool company said it was from algicide that had been frozen. Huh? Anyhow, Leslie's had a product for $18 that just needed to be poured into the pool. Five minutes later... no foam. It's nice to know Leslie's is here, and it's in the same strip mall as my favorite sushi place (Wow Sushi). read more

This place is the equivalent of a street drug buy. They lie and rip you off, no courtesy at all. I did independent testing through pool company and had perfect settings pool was Perfecto. And went in just to see how they would test a perfect pool and they rated it at less than 50% with a $350+ recommendation. I would strongly recommend that if you value your money, time, energy and pool, that you do NOT go to Leslie's pools, especially this location. I have never been there (and only go for emergencies -except this time) and not completely been ripped off. They are pros at upgrading to chemicals and solutions that you absolutely do not need for optimal chemical and pool functionality. Don't believe a word they say. I will never shop there again and if you value your time and money, you won't either. read more

Leslie's has been our go-to pool supply store for the last 20 years - ever since we moved into a home with an in-ground pool. We knew next to nothing about caring for a pool, but Josh and Andrew have helped us gain expertise year by year. We especially like that they always lead with the most economical recommendation instead of just trying to take your money. So far this year, I've saved over $1500 by doing a booster pump installation and replacing the sand in the filter myself, all with advice by the guys at Leslie's. This place is the absolute worse! Is there a less than 1 Star I can do? We bought a 1000$ Polaris. It broke within 1 month. They have taken an exorbitant amount of time and have still not fixed it. They don't spend the time on the phone to give any information while my pool keeps getting worse without my Polaris. They are rude and not the type of business you want to trust and spend your money at. Stay away from this place. Go to another local pool store. They will sell you 1000$ of dollars worth of stuff and not be accountable for it! read more

Went here to get the bags that you slip into skimmer or fill with granules for stabilizer ect.. I was told he never heard of them and they just tell people to use a sock maybe.. so as I was leaving there it was a bag in a skimmer basket right at the register! I have been a loyal customer of Leslie's for several years now. This month I made a purchase of a pool cover pump for over $200. When I returned home, the pump did not work. I called the store and was given zero assistance to get the pump working. When I tried to return the pump several days later I was told by the rude clerk that despite the product not working, despite no notice on the receipt that pumps are not returnable the clerk would not process the return claiming that was the corporate policy. I am not someone who typically writes reviews but please beware of their unscrupulous practices. read more

I have been having bad luck with pool companies and pool stores . My girlfriend told me to stop into leslies across the street from Premier pool. After having a very bad experience with the owner at Premier pools. I called ahead and asked what time they were open, got there just before close. The young man said it was no problem and tested my water anyways. He asked every question you could about my pool, i could tell he really cared about my pool. Every step was explained to me. I got a nice printout and he highlighted all the steps. Spent about 300 on my chemicals (a lot cheaper then some online sites). I did get a " guaranteed not to get algae" Also spent time talking about salt water. My pool looks amazing now. No green. No smells. Thank you joshua for your patience with a new pool owner. Clean store. And open past 6pm. I recommend that you stop in and check this place out. read more

Inside service, at least at the Troy location was wonderful... but phone customer service could use a little improvement. My sand filter pool pump died, and I called the Troy location, and immediately i was put on hold. I waited 10 mins and decided to try to call again. This time they immediately helped and at least took the time to hear me out and understand what I was needing, and said they didn't have that part at their location, but the Utica location did and gave me their phone number. I called them and barely got an explanation of what I was looking for before they said they were overwhelmed and asked if they could call me back. I get being busy so i said ok and gave them my number. Most of the day goes by and I hadnt heard back from them. SO I called them again and this time I was told they didnt have the part, and stated they needed to get to their customers and just told me to google it, They seemed in a rush to hang up and I truly don't feel they listened or tried to understand what I was asking for. Not helpful at all, and quite frustrating when Ive spent most of the day in a wild goose chase because of them. read more
