Was staying at the neighboring Westin hotel and was in dire need of medicine, and given its proximity, I reluctantly made my way to this Target one evening. While I was only after medicine, I wandered around as one normally does. The store was overstocked with goods everywhere in several areas, and then empty shelves in others. I was also surprised at how dirty the floors seemed to be, not only with stains, but debris. Definitely not the Target of the past. I got my medicine and headed to check out, where several of the self-check machines were down. I popped over the one cashier and wish I would have stayed in self-check. She was checking her phone during the transaction, which is absolutely wild to me. Overall, hate to see the brand in the shape it is in, but with stores running and looking like this one, I can see a glimpse into why. I used to love this Target. I get my meds here, SO I CAN SHOP, too! Recently, I had several issues..... there were carts blocking handicap parking so in order to use handicap parking, I had to physically get out of my car to move carts to park. This Target is very messy.....products on the floor all over the store. CVS at this Target is great. Employees are always friendly and smiling. Target employees are usually friendly and smiling. Target has been our standby store for decades. We shop there often. Recently I placed an order their website for my husband to pick up. Apparently there was some kind of confusion when I tried to correct the order to reflect the debit card I wanted to use instead of the credit card number they had on file. They SEEMED to have made the correction. As it turns out, they had decided that I ordered the same thing twice -- minutes apart -- and both times with the wrong credit card. They did eventually send a message that they were removing one of the charges (we shall see), but I am not happy with their rudeness to my husband over something that their site goofed up on. read more

He claimed that I was trying to return Amazon items to his store. Yet I had a Target receipt and packing slip. But he wouldn't even look at it. I had a pickup order at the Lombard target. I just had surgery but I am unable to drive. I called them at 8:15 am, seven more times after that. Only once did they answer, but the phone was so muffled on their end they hung up on me. All I was trying to do was get the pickup person charged on my order. June at target is all out 5 star. she knows how to make the customer smile while spending money. she kept us smiling and engaged. everyone that we interacted with was pleasant, but the finish was superb. Tried the get a price match for an item ($24 item) right off of Target's website (on sale for $18), but I understand sometimes they don't make it within the time frame. The lady told me rudely, "It had to be within a week." Googled it up on Target Price Match and it said 14 days to get a price match. Looks like some of the folks need some retraining. Big, bright, clean Target and like most Targets nowadays it's understaffed. It's hard to find someone who isn't too busy to help and there's often a wait to check out. I can find what I need sometimes, eventually, but it's easier to shop Target online. However, once online, I can compare Target to Amazon -- I'm not sure they realize they lose business this way. A nice Target that's located on the perimeter of the Yorktown Shopping Center. Large, bright, airy space with plenty of room for navigating shopping carts through the aisles. It's neatly laid out pretty much the same as any other full-size Target. All the shelves are well stocked with plenty of merchandise. This used to be one of my favorite Targets but the remodel is horrible. It's so hard to find anything, it's too spread out, you need to walk around the ridiculous Sephora area to get to anything you would normally go to Target for. The flow doesn't work. They got rid of some groupings of items that needed to stay grouped together like the gf frozen food. I hope this isn't the norm for all the stores. I went in for like 5 items and it took forever just to navigate through the store. read more

Came to this location after the Target off of North Ave didn't have the item I wanted in stock. The North Ave location looked it up and showed that this location in Yorktown had the item I wanted. I then proceeded to drive over and attempted to call the Yorktown store to confirm their stock. Called a total of 6 times on my way there only to either get hung up on or just got no response. It has been very disappointing to buy bread and other produce only to find it spoiled and/ or with mold when ready to use. The Yorktown store has been on a decline and it's too bad. I'm well aware of the affects of Covid and have been very understanding, but this is not the first time I've received food of poor quality whether in store or through pick up orders. I also wish the service desk could hire kind employees!! I cannot recommend this Target to other Lombard residents. Now I'm having to visit other locations and hope for the best as I've heard similar complaints. Hope Target as a whole improves. read more

As a mom of two there was a situation I did NOT feel safe and they (Patrick Sawe& his colleague) immediately were by my side escorting me to my car and being so accommodating to my children and myself. Right on #Target and conveniently located right by my work, the Westin hotel and YORKTOWN shopping center. They have everything you need from groceries to wardrobe. They have a decent clothing section with swimwear to shoes. In the back they have an electronics section with TVs and the latest gadgets, along with GoPros! I actually purchased a couple T-bone steaks from their grocery section and quality was great. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, along with frozen meals. There are decent sales on toiletries and house cleaning products. Check their ads online or download the Target app to get coupons. You can also get house, party and sports gifts from the Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, White Sox and the Bears. It's a one stop shopping adventure. read more

This is one cool Target! First of all the bathrooms were clean (but I expect that). Second, this Target has all the cool new touches you read about in the business section of the NY Times. There was a beauty concierge on duty in the makeup section and the home decor section had furniture on the ground in arrangements to give you ideas. Unlike my previous Target this one also had the full stock of home decor- the standing lamps aisle had over 15 to choose from. They also have a Starbucks and either are building a Freshiis inside or closing one down, it was unclear to me. Lastly, they had a little cut out area by the hygiene products selling Chicago gear including Chicago Cubs vodka which I thought was really neat. I've also never seen a Target with so many checkout lanes! Easy parking and clean interior. read more

I ordered a Nespresso online for store pickup. Target had a 35% off when using the Cartwheel app. The website said that I would get a text when the order was ready, usually within an hour. I received the text 10 minutes after placing the order. Pickup was fast and efficient. There is an area off to the side of customer service just for pickups so you don't get caught in that line. I also had a return and the associate handled it for me so I wouldn't have to get in another line. From the time I made it in the store until I walked out was about 5 minutes. I then realized that I needed a few additional items so I returned in the store. Ended up pricing some Bourbon in their liquor department. Later went to Binny's and found that Target was either cheaper or the same price so maybe I've found my new liquor store! read more

This is a smaller Target (i.e. not Super) but still has a grocery area (just not as much in the way of produce etc.) Still, I was able to find the things I needed with ease, and more! They had a nice deal where you could buy $25 worth of certain pharmaceutical/health care products and then text for a coupon to get a $5 gift card at the register, which was useful! This store was less picked over than the ones out by me in Naperville, and we found a LOT of fun Star Wars toys on clearance that would have likely been wiped out by now in my area. I did note that in several areas, the boxes of products I was looking at were crushed (eye drops, pain killers, granola bars...). I don't know who is shelving but they need to take a little more care. Overall, if your regular Target is sold out of stuff this might be the one to check! read more

Pretty good, but I remember having more fun here before the remodel. I'm just not a fan of how the remodeled Target's are set up. They're like a Kmart- grody. The staff are okay, sometimes a little question-y during the check out process, like ask what school I go to... uhm, out of school. WAY out of school and try to guess your name- WEIRD. The pharmacy people are lovely and very helpful and the parking lot ain't bad either. I like that they kept the 2 entrance ways. April 1st 2016 9:15am-ish Pharmacy team is top notch! all 3 techs working today & the Pharmacist = very helpful and knowledgeable. ...meanwhile in red-shirt pre-cash-register-ville... the Target red-shirt team/employees were annoying all huddled around the Mother's Day card section in one huge tight circle blocking the major walkway of the store....and all getting loud and ready for their "Donut eating contest" on April Fools day while one chick ran around the store collecting more red-shirt people.. ....again..meanwhile...the badass Pharm team was in their section being what????? yep that's right! .badasses. **drops mic** side note: 2 weeks ago, Nick (an actual helpful red shirt guy) ..helped me and my peeps out with patio furniture.. Guest services at Lombard store is poor. I was there the other day and there was only one employee at the counter. There was a customer trying to return some tables and shoes his wife had purchased. He did not have receipts nor how to find them on the app. This was his fault. However there was a line of 4-5 customers waiting to return items and no additional staff was called. After 10 minutes when the Target employee could not figure out how to do the return, she called for help. A person came out from the back to help. She should have called immediately for help when she saw the line of customers waiting. Then both of them helped the one customer. This took another 5 minutes. Eventually the furniture issue was resolved and one of them began to take the customers who had been waiting for pickups/returns in the line. I left when the gentleman couldn't find the receipts for the 2 pair of shoes! read more

I've been visiting this Target since I've been traveling to IL. It is right down the street from the hotel where I usually stay. Every time I've come in, the place is not busy, it is clean, and I can get when I need and get out. They have a wide selection of just about everything, your typical Target. Always have the self checkout lanes open. Sometimes, none of the other lanes are open, especially when you need some security tag removed.... And forbid, if you set off the self checkout lane, and need to wait for an employee to rescue you with a secret code, be prepared to wait (this has not happened to me personally, but I've seen it just about every time I've stepped foot in here, and have been waiting in line to do self check out.) bonus points for the Starbucks and the Freshii right inside the store. read more

Came here over vacation late at night to get a couple of things before we went back to the hotel. Store is very unorganized and there's random stuff on random shelves in every aisle. Not to mention, highly under stocked in many things. Service was very slow waiting in line but I did get a kick out of a woman in line that was 50 years old at least that couldn't buy booze and the cashier told her to come back with an ID. This target is fresh and modern and has a Starbucks and all the bells and whistles. What it doesn't have is the right staff on board. No one is willing to help you or answer questions. Too many staff members are working on projects and not available for assistance. Whenever you ask for help, they get frustrated that they have to stop what they're doing to assist you. Today I also experienced a cashier and another employee get into a full blown altercation while I was at the register. The cashier didn't care that he had a job to do and started shouting. And I had two small children with me. He began dropping F bombs and N words and telling the other employee that he would wait for him outside. My children were super scared and confused. Someone stepped in and took this employee of the register, but I didn't even get an apology like "I'm sorry that dude just started a huge fight in front of your kids." Then the employee got on his phone and was calling someone and having a very loud personal conversation instead of excusing himself from the situation. So then I called the store and asked to speak to the manager on duty. I got her, sweet girl named Megan who did apologize about that. But as a former store manager myself, I was expecting her to take down information. What register. What time this happened. A description of both employees involved. And her only response was "okay I'm sorry. I'll make sure someone follows up on that." With what information? So disappointing. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Didn't seem like anyone was working there, only at the registers. It was worse than Walmart!! All aisles of clothes super messy and the shoes were all disorganized- couldn't even find the size I wanted. Figured maybe I could find it online but I can't. Groceries were my priority, the reason I went here to Target, but after buying everything I needed with my groceries, I took the chance to also explore the store, and I found a lot of wonderful things. I went to see interesting items, and there were really a bunch of them. I got to see a great selection of bags, clothes, and accessories. I was really interested in buying, not only because the items are wonderful and of good quality, but also because the prices are fair and reasonable, and I also consider them cheaper than anywhere I can find such good things like those. Mother's Day is near, and I took it as an opportunity to buy gifts for everyone. I want to send deserving gifts like this one. It was really a great deal, and it was also a really great day for me. I am really glad that I decided to buy my groceries here for some reason, and I will gladly do it again for more great purchases. The service is also great. The staff are really friendly and helpful to anyone, despite their being so busy with a lot of customers in the store. I just had a little hard time in the parking lot. The parking is spacious when I parked my car, and it was easy for me, but I had a hard time because of the car next to mine. read more

Last night I purchased an elevated dog bowl for my pomskies. Unfortunately, the bowl I purchased too tall for One of my pups. My husband went to make an exchange for the same item one size smaller. It's been less than 24 hours and we had the receipt. Everything was there, unused and nothing is wrong with the item, it was just too tall so we need to exchange it. Lombard didn't have the 7 inch size, so the guy there said he would give us a credit on a gift card because it was easier, but wouldn't allow us to grab the item and make the exchange then and there. After handing over the gift card credit that was easier for him, I guess it worked out because they did not have the item in store. Instead, we found it at the Villa Park location. When checking out at the Villa Park location, the lady who scanned the gift card and said there was nothing on it. Lombard, IL gave us an empty gift card. I guess that was easier! FOR THEM! My poor husband goes BACK to the Lombard location to talk to the same guy and the guy said there's nothing he can do so we lost $30 on the stupid bowl. And let me say this, my husband is a postal employee and this is his day off! So running back and forth to Target isn't anyone's ideas of rest. So now we have to call the gift card hotline...and we did...but the card we were given was empty. So a mistake by the employee? Or were we given the wrong gift card? I'll never know! And let me tell you, I do not want a gift card. I want my money back on my card because now I've given them over $30. My husband had given them over $30 and we have ONE gift card between us to put back into their store. I called the store multiple times and it rang and rang until it was disconnected. I called the cooperate number and after stating what happened I was apologized to, and then the call dropped. So I don't even want to hear about pandemic volume. He delivers mail and I work in the hospitality industry so we both get it. I'm just not going to be a Target guest anymore because this situation was ridiculous. I'm upset they didn't scan the gift card to check it's purchase history. Instead they tried to act like the 10 minute drive between stores we used it on something else. The employee literally said he couldn't help in case we purchased something. He could've verified it by scanning it! I hope management looks into this team members practices. But seeing as we couldn't reach anyone and the store made a profit on the mistake, I just won't be back. read more
