I like coming to this branch because it's closer to my house and it seems like there's not to many shoppers. Today I came to pick up a few things. One item was the nestle baking white chocolate morsels. The tag was up for a promo going on which was buy 4 24 oz nestle bags and get ANY baking commodity 10-12 oz for free. Of course I took pictures because I always have promotion problems with target. So once I showed the cashier he said it wasn't ringing up and so I busted out my picture. And he was like oh ok I'll honor it. Then he called his manager and told her about it and said maybe we can take it down so other customers won't have a problem. But the week prior that same promo was up and the cashier said the same thing!! And I'm like so yall communicate your promotions or just act like you don't know it up????? Yall schemin man! Just glad I got my stuff for the right price and deal. Heads up if there's any sale or promo take a picture to bring to the register to make sure you get the deal! read more

I ordered a 6pc wash pack on target.com which clearly states in the highlighted section 6pc set includes 2wash 2hand 2bath. When I went to pick up my order it was only the hand towels. After a hour of waiting for my items that's listed in the highlighted area. The store manager Krisitie rudely and unprofessional stated the hand towels is what you ordered. Then Krisitie went on an said the highlighted area is giving me the description of a full set.. Then I pulled up another set of hand towels and in the highlighted area it clearly states Hand towels. After I informed Krisitie of this she stated you got the items you ordered and walked away. read more

I been here quite a few times. I usually stop by here when I am driving and need to use the restroom or just need a break from driving, so I troll around. This Target is big and located right off interstate 5 and it's so easy to get on and off :) Target is on like this big plot of land with no other stores, so it's kind of deserted but not a lot of people in the store and there's plenty of parking! And restroom are kept super clean! read more

Over this last weekend we threw a birthday party for our two girls. They ended up getting 3 of the Moana percussion set toy. I decided to keep two and return one. On Tuesday, I brought the toy (14.99) into Lathrop Target to return with no receipt. When I got to customer service I pulled the toy out of my cart and told the team member that I had a return with no receipt. She immediately let me know that any return without receipt has to be exchanged with an item in the same department. So I would have to return the toy for a toy. I started to read the return policy posted and asked if she could show me where it says this and she let me know that it doesn't say it on Targets posted policy because it's a 'store policy'. I asked to speak to a manager and stepped aside to let the other customers in line go ahead of me. When the manager came over she did not introduce herself. In fact she just kind of stood there in front of me and I had to initiate a conversation. I asked her if she was the manager and she said yes and asked me what the problem I was having is. I told her that I want to return the toy without a receipt and I did not want to get another toy. I also asked her to show me where it said that policy. She said it's not written down but her manager told her that the policy is the same for everyone and she can not make an exception for me. I walked away and started the rest of my shopping at their store. I ended up spending about $30 on my trip. When I got outside I called the customer service line and spoke with two people. The first person ended up getting disconnected and when I called back the next person told me that Target return policy is that I would receive a gift card. She called the store and put me on hold but came back on the line and let me know she couldn't do anything because that is their store policy. I guess that store has a large number of returns. I just do not see how it is my fault that their store has a large number of returns. I also do not understand why I am forced to buy something in the same department. The next day I ended up driving just a couple miles to another Target in Manteca. I walked up to costumer service and told them I had a return with no receipt. She asked for my ID. Scanned my ID, scanned my item, scanned a gift card. Then she handed me back my ID and gift card and said "here Hun, the money is on the gift card. Have a nice day!" Never once gave me a problem. I was so upset after that, that I even gave Lathrop Target the $30 I did after they refused to return my item or even tell me why there is that rule. The way I see it, when someone comes to return or exchange something, most people will walk around the store and purchase more stuff and most likely spend more than the gift card amount. I also know that they scan you ID so you can't just scam them all the time. But if they must change Targets policy, I believe it should be posted large enough for people to see. I also didn't mention the eye rolls I got, and the dress code they weren't following at The Lathrop store. I will gladly take my business to Manteca Target. I also think that the customer service lady I called could have suggested they take my return and let me know that yes, this is their policy for future notice but they will make an exception this one time. I mean it's only $14.99 and you got an upset customer with 4 kids in her cart. I don't think she's scamming you people!!! I have worked in a lot of customer service, and retail jobs and the way this was handled was disappointing. read more

My (Asian) mom encountered a racist employee just today. She was at checkout and needed a bag, she asked the cashier for one however he said he cannot give any bags. As she was grabbing her items to leave, the next customer stepped up and the cashier IMMEDIATELY asked if they needed a bag and that they were free of charge. Racism at its finest. oh, my beloved Target. I couldn't wait for this to open and living in Stockton, I will GALDLY make the drive to Lathrop. screw gas prices. I like my shopping experience to be non-ghetto please. This target is clean, stocked, and new. even the shopping carts are updated- a new model, if you will. its true- you can't get out of a target without dropping $50...i think the newer the target is, the more you impulse buy. seriously! i can't get out under $80 most times. they also have a Starbucks inside. (i ordered a tea latte there on my way out...the poor starbucks guy must have been new, bless his heart, he didn't know what to put in the computer..so he literally just charged me for the tea bag...43 cents. haha) can't wait to run outta shampoo so i have an excuse to head over there again!!! read more

The great thing about this Target is that its located in Lathrop. Lathrop has a population of NO ONE!! So even during the holiday weekend you can get in and out w/o any fuss. Plus, the store was nice and clean and it didn't look like the entire place was picked over (like WalMart). Employees were also nice & helpful. I won't ever shop in this Target store again. I was in there this morning I tried to purchase 23 lint rollers for an event I'm doing ( I had already purchased the same amount in Tracy , earlier in the day). The Lathrop store would only sell me 10 because " we are a low volume store" um ok .....so they don't want to sell the inventory that they have and want to save it for someone else? Lint rollers are really in such high demand that its necessary to ration them? Odd that a store would not want to make a sale, especially when they had very few customers compared to the other nearby stores. Yes that makes good business sense . Too bad really.....its a nice clean store and I've enjoyed shopping there in the past but after driving the extra 10 miles to get there I was not happy about the fact that I wasn't allowed to purchase what I went in for. When did Target lower it's standards? As clean as the store is the employees lack business manners. They don't dress in the typically red shirt & khaki pants which easily helps us locate a team member & instead wears black and/or maroon. Let me list all the things wrong so I don't bore you all with an endless paragraph. 1. Again their uniforms. 2. Their attitudes. (There was a day in particular one of the cashiers gave me attitude for using coupons. Might I add even after her manager gave me the clear because I wasn't breaking any rules she continuously gave me attitude.) 3. The cashiers talk "small talk" amongst themselves. (There has been numerous times I waited for them to finish talking to give me my change & receipt. 4. One cashier was on the phone while with a customer. 5. When the cashier's only words to you are the amount you owe. To some people these things might not bother them but to me a long time shopper at Target this all seems un-Target-like. Do I dare to call headquarters? All you need to do is adjust your attitude & no they are not tired from the holiday madness. This has been going on for quite a while. I purchased 2 outfits from Fremont target today which didn't end up fitting right, so I brought them to return at the Lathrop target. (Which is the city I live in) At first a young lady was assisting me but had trouble with the transaction so she calls for assistance and tells me the system has a glitch. This person also couldn't figure it out and said it needs a managers override so she called for a supervisor. A girl named English comes by so I explain to her that I would like to exchange and she gets slightly irritated and she gets into the system and after 2 minutes of not acknowledging me she says I can't return it the same day and tells me she can't help me. Me being an avid target shopper gets confused since I've never had this issue and I do most of my shopping at this particular location. I've spent hundreds & thousands here and never experienced this type of customer service. So I asked her and she doesn't give a clear answer she just says if I want to return it I have to inconveniently drive all the way back to Fremont and return it or come back another day. I told her to call Fremont and or guarantee to me that I won't run into any trouble after making a one hour plus trip to return it but she tells me she's not going to call. I ask for a manager and after waiting a few minutes a manager shows up and his name was Andrew. Andrew tells me it is target policy that they cannot take a same day return meanwhile the return policy is posted right in front of me and nowhere does it state this. I also look on the website where it still doesn't mention this. I ask Andrew for a reason as to why they can't return or since when this is a policy and him and English can't give me a clear answer so they shrug their shoulders and say "this is just the way it is." I ask when this happened and ask for a disclosure stating that this is a policy and they don't give me one they just start laughing and mumbling things about me to eachother. I've never experienced this type of humiliation, they made me feel like what I was doing was wrong and the side conversations about me didn't help. I feel that I was treated the way I was because I didn't fit a certain standard in their eyes. I am sure if I were anyone else and if they wanted they would have done my return. I had my receipt both physically and in my target app. Aside from that I had the charges on my banking app and the tags were attached to the clothing. It's upsetting to think a store you've been a loyal shopper of for many years can treat you so horribly. As a professional myself I would recommend retraining the employees on what customer service really looks like. I will be sure to let everybody I know, know that this is the type of treatment I received. I would like someone to contact me in regards to this issue. read more

This is the dirtiest, most disorganized Target I have ever visited. I will never go back, and I live in Lathrop now. YUCK!

The best part about the Lathrop Target is the location. It is directly on Interstate 5 and serves as a great stop when driving through the area. The building is modern and large based on the standard Target format. There are clean restrooms, lots of shopping, and a Starbucks right off the freeway. They stock all the same stuff as all other Targets, but the location is great for the area and for us travelers - especially when you forget the card for your present! read more

I like this Target because it is pretty close to where I work. Not much else to do in Lathrop so I often just go to target to walk around and see if I can find any thing "good" to buy. The place is new so it is pretty shiny and clean. I would have to say that their inventory is not as large as other targets, and the workers are not very helpful. They seem to walk around trying to look busy and get annoyed when you stop them to ask a question. And they normally only have 1 to 2 check out stand open at any given time. Over all it is a decent store. read more

I cannot tell you how much I love this Target!!! It's the only Target in the area that is not a 20 minute drive for me and there is always parking right up front. I'm not sure how they're going to stay in business because it's never very crowded but that means short lines for me so I am not complaining! I've noticed lately that Target has lowered alot of their prices and I now do most of my food shopping there and only go to Safeway for meat, produce and specialty items. Usually I love going to this target but it disappoints me that the management doesn't enforce masks when they really should. Every time I go in, there's always a few customers not wearing a mask and the staff walks past them like it's ok???? In a whole pandemic??? The floors are really shiny and the aisles are really wide. If you're headed out to the Stockton and need some shampoo, stop at this one. Then, go to the Ghirardelli Outlet a few exits down. We prefer this Target over the one in Manteca. Not because of the product choices but because of the cleanliness & lack of people. Overall they have good product options & restock often. Now it's not as great as Bay Area Targets in the products but it's enough. My issue is the cashiers. You really have no idea if you will get a nice person, a mute, or Red card pusher. I'm so sick of them pushing the Red card. We have one but disconnected it from my bank account. Yes saving 5% is great but I don't see why they have this option. It's really bizarre. We got one for the holidays but after what happened we closed that account so the card no longer has an active account. I feel that them offering incentives to the employees for people signing up for a Red card creates a semi hostile shopping experience. Some cashiers push it the whole time making check out awkward. Now the floor staff I'd really nice & I've had them go out of their way to help!!! read more

The staff runs. If you only read one line of this, that's it. I needed an office chair brought out from the back, pressed the little button (they are all over the store) and 30 seconds later the girl showed up. I watched her run down the main isle... I told her what i needed and she went to get it for me. These people mean business. This Target is not only new but has a full-on grocery store coming Oct 2011. The checkout can get congested... but its a department store. Go figure. read more

Love that this target has self checkout and that products are easy to find in the cosmetic isles. I really appreciate that this Target has not moved to the "Sephora" display layout. Only gave 4 of 5 stars because this Target didn't carry an item I was looking for and will need to buy online. However it is nice knowing that if they did carry it, it would be in the same isle as the rest. read more

A nice, clean Target located in the middle of nowhere and from what I can see by the surrounding area, fairly new. It's a cookie cutter Super Target, one that features groceries as well, and nothing in particular is visually any different from any of the millions of other Targets out there. They did however have cheaper prices on many common things compared to my local facility as well as over the top friendly customer service. My checker made a mistake and rang me up twice for my cheap red wine and was kind enough to walk me over to customer service and explain the miscue so I didn't have to. Above and beyond. A few too many employees on break when the lines were 5 people deep each though. And to the young gentleman smoking a blunt outside in your work uniform, you're not doing your generation any favors. read more

Seems like the staff have become rude and carefree in the evening. Most of the items aren't tagged in the store unless its upfront. I was told to use the Target app and laughed at. Yesterday I bought a box of Kashi Cereal that was a price cut item in the cereal aisle to try it out. I threw away the receipt, because who would keep a receipt for a box of cereal right? Then while eating the cereal noticed it was kinda stale. Looked at the Best Buy Date,and saw that it said March 30, 2012. Was that why it was on a price cut??? Is that something only the Lathrop area stores do? I haven't experienced expired items being sold for sale prices at other Targets? Pretty much sucks, but on the plus side I found a dollar in the parking lot, so I'll survive the loss. :) read more

I live in South Bay and recently bought a home in Lathrop. This Target is located less than two miles away. I'm used to going to a very crowded Target so experiencing less than half the shoppers is fantastic! Easy to park and no long lines. I love it! We're still getting used to where things are in this particular location. So far, target employees have been very very helpful. At one point, there were 4 staff members searching for items we need =) read more

They never answer the phone . I have called them 3 times no one ever answers . The reason I called them is because I wanted to make sure if they had an item that I wanted so I wouldn't have to drive there but sense they never answered the phone I had to to go drive there .and of course they didn't have it . One of the worse targets I have had to shop at in a while. I'm used to east bay targets so maybe that's why? Not new. Not clean. Not organized. Limited selection. Signage not correct (don't bother trying to buy things here and get the promotional gift card. It won't ring up. Or they won't load the amount in the card).
