I live for Target pickup. I place my order, pull up, and within minutes, a friendly Target employee is at my window with my bags--no long waits, no attitude, just efficiency and good vibes. Sure, items here might be a bit more expensive, but honestly? The convenience is worth it. I don't have to wander the aisles, get distracted by the dollar section, or leave with five things I definitely didn't need. (Okay, sometimes I still do, but at least it's by choice and not because I got lost in the home decor section.) This was the most convenient to my location and was first time. The area is packed with other businesses so expect busy! The store during college move in week is chaotic. But this is no surprise to anyone that's moved a college kid into a dorm. It's hit or miss on finding items and I've had to go to other Targets to get what I needed. Something unique for me being from VA is they have bourbon. The most frustrating aspect is customer service which lacks at most Targets. They are more concerned with stocking shelves than answering questions. Also the lack of service is evidenced by the self checkouts which are 90% it seems. I will be honest, I don't like them. Bottomline I like Targets wide selections, goods and prices. This store was weaker than other area Targets in Greensboro. I stopped by here on Saturday around 5:30pm with my son to to get toys for a kids birthday party that we attended the next day. There is AMPLE toy options, which was wonderful. . That was easy. I also ended up getting a picture frame too. After getting the frame and toy, I stopped by tech area to see if they had PS5 controllers, which they did. I wanted a blue one and it was in stock! However, it was locked up, of course. I went to the main area with the registers for "tech" and there was no staff present. I walked around for a while waiting for someone to pop up. I wondered if they had a little button to press but didn't see one. When someone did, she told me that she didn't have a key and that I would have to wait for someone else... So I waited about 5 or so minutes and the guy came but was helping someone else, which took some time. I was able to get the controller after having patience and waiting. While checking out, I noticed that they did in fact have a button to call for assistance. I'm not sure how I missed it before. Always love a good Target trip but this is not my favorite location in the Greensboro area. Most of the time when we've visited this location, they've been very low on stock in many items we've been looking for. Staff has always been nice but there's always a line down the store waiting for self checkout due to lack of open lanes. I ordered from this store for deliver. my items was returned by delivery driver as damage. contacted customer service and they had submitted a replacement order. wait on my order and still did not receive all items ordered. went through their system support and no results. talked to multiple customer service representatives and the end result was. I lost my money and didn't receive my products I ordered. they put the fault on me. My account still shows my order being delivered but they marked it all as being delivered. The service at the Lawndale location is now worse than Walmart! They have overcharged me my last 3 trips there. I had to go to the service desk and wait even longer trying to get THEIR mistake fixed. There was not even an apology from that employee who told me shea was a member of their management. She put my receipt on the counter without saying a word or letting me know it was mine. When she checked the price, the floor employee confirmed it rang up the incorrect price. (I told the cashier that but she did not change it or check) When I asked to speak with someone over her, the lady that came was very professional and did apologize but by then it was too late. I suggested she review the video footage of her "management member". After working over 11 hours I chose to shop at Target. This is not a mistake I will be making in the future. This is very reminiscent of Kmart in their last years. While I was waiting for the other manager I had to listen to the 2 employees complain about how they had been since 8:00 am and everyone wanted to go home, after the "manager" told the other employee "nothing works at this store". I don't know what these people are talking about when they say the store is "messy". I don't see that and I'm there a couple of times a week. I do see the younger employees standing around sometimes but most of the time they're stocking shelves. Personally, I don't mind kids talking while they work. I'm sure it's monotonous! There IS one employee in the customer service area who always seems to be more interested in bossing around other employees than actually helping customers... and she's always cranky! However, she must be doing something right as far as Target is concerned, since she's been there quite a while. Whatever. Merchandise laying all over floors between aisles, random items on shelves, broken items, everything a mess but, young department employees standing around complaining about their parents, no one the least bit interested in customers or the condition of the store. I've never really been a huge fan of Target, but they do have a few great items. First, I love their carts. I wish more stores had plastic carts. They are light, quiet, and don't physically rattle all the time. I also like the coffee shop inside. Next is the Goodfellow clothes. I like them and they are not expensive. They are sown well, and they look nice. One thing I do not like are the food prices. They do have some good gluten free food, but aside from that, the food is generally over priced. I don't go there for food anymore. Aside from clothes, which are, for the most part, well priced, they are not the least expensive place, but the items they do have are higher quality than much of Walmart's even though they cost more. That said, there are better places to get the items that they carry. If you are going to pay more for a better item, you might as well do it right! So I go here when I am in a pinch. Aside from that, they are a nice, clean place, with mostly nice people read more

The target on Lawndale in GSO has gone from my happy place to the place I avoid like the plague. I am surprised that the home office hasn't addressed the major issues at this particular store,if this is the new" face of target,shame on you,maybe you can hire a cleaning service or employees that actually work and care about their environment. This is a wonderful store kinda atmosphere is relaxing and clean they carry everything from fresh vegetables meats grocery items household goods as well as clothing items sometimes your needs can all be met in one location rather than buzzing about town .. I called this target to see if they had a specific item in stock. I was put on hold for a few minutes before another person picked up. I explained what I was looking for and then was put on hold again. And then another associate picked up to inform me they were busy and put me back on hold for another 8 minutes. I called the target on Bridford parkway and they answered my question in about 30 seconds. The Target on Bridford will be getting my business from now on. read more

i went to the ultra section of the store and a girl with black natural hair in an afro and dark skin who I have seen before working the makeup section came down the aisle and laughed at me and walked away. a few minutes later she had two blonde girls follow me around while I shopped. i did not look "put together" and it was obvious she had called them to follow me. your employee not only mocked me but was wrong i was not shop lifting. This Target location is pretty unique from the moment I laid eyes on it. First it, looked like a movie theater with less parking. This is because the weather was lousy and I was told that there was one in the area. Upon entrance, you will find an interesting layout that is quite different from other Target stores that I have visited. The departments seemed to be more spread out in comparison to others which gives the store a more labyrinth like feel than normal. I am not sure if that was the intent, but I didn't really like it, and I actually got lost trying to find the cash registers due to the poor signage. Merchandise wise, this was very similar to all of the other stores, so if you like Target, than you will be pleased. I did however note that the grocery aisle seems to be a little bit bigger in comparison to the other stores in the area so if you use the cartwheel app for groceries, you will probably like this location. read more

It's big-clean-organized. They always open lanes when lines are getting too long and there's hardly a wait. Downside is I hate trying on clothes. The ladies at the dressing room counter always make me feel like I'm stealing. I want to just tell then "don't worry, I pay for my shit". Just the stares and the horrible customer service in the dressing room dept. The customer service at the front of the store is amazing and if anything doesn't work and I return they are very helpful!!!! Anyways it's a Target I will always be back. read more

I usually give most the benefit of the doubt. However there appears to be a big problem. Not once but every time I go to the ladies room it reeks of urine smell. Not only is the odor caustic but urine is all over the floor with tissue and today there was poop in the water on the floor. I shame the ladies who are so nasty and disgusting in public exhibiting such public indecency. However the store has an obligation to keep the restroom appropriate for human use. Today had to be a sanitation violation. I did bring it to the attention of management and despite there being a list of check times it had been 3hours since a check had been made. I am extremely disappointed. Hurricane Florence wrecked the house of on of my dear friends in North Carolina. I bought a Target gift card to help with some of their basic needs but when they tried to use the card, it showed up with a $0 balance. Naturally, I called costumer service to figure out what was happening and after a week of not hearing anything (not a follow-up email, phone call, or anything at all) I called back. Turns out the "investigation" they conducted determined it wasn't the companies fault. They washed their hands of the incident, I am out over $200, and my friend cannot get the same financial support he really needed in this time of crisis. This is not right. read more

I am unsure why this Target has such a high review. Everytime I come here things are unorganized, disheveled and out of stocks are running rampant. This location is close by so I do frequent it quite often. Sometimes I even go to all the Targets in GSO in one weekend and this one is probably my least favorite. One thing that I have noticed about this location is that when I am ready to check out I have to move to 2 or 3 different registers because the computer/scanner/card machine something isnt working properly. read more

I watched this Target be built many years ago, and have shopped there since it has been open. It was a wonderful place to shop, but over the past 4 or so years, it has steadily declined. The cashiers are fair, but generally only 2 to 4 lanes are open. When the store added a larger grocery section, they did not update the registers to handle the increased volume of the orders. There are no bag carousels, so just one bag at a time and then the customer has to place in the cart to keep a large order moving. I also know they were without a store manager for some time and it has never really recovered. I shopped there frequently and rarely saw the "big" managers out on the floor, just the CSM's. Since the beginning of the year, I moved all of my prescriptions to a competitor due to issues with the pharmacy. I had been with them since they opened, close to 20 years. Target changed their pharmacy software which did not go well. I was often having to go back several times as they frequently ran out of my medications. The pharmacy manager retired and his replacement resigned after a few months, then the other pharmacist who had been there for years resigned to go to a competitor. Things seem more and more disorganized, so I have gone elsewhere. I spent over $1300 in just co-pays at the pharmacy last year. I spent a lot in the store when I picked up my prescriptions. I guess Target is not willing to figure out what is NOT going right at this store. read more

I love the products in Target. I really like shopping at the store. There is one thing that I don't like and I'm trying to understand why this keeps happening to me. I was shopping the other day with my children they are 6 and 4. Its Fall time so we all have jackets on. My son likes to sit in the cart to play with my phone while I shop. My daughter likes to walk beside me so she can shop along with me. This particular day my daughter had to use the bathroom , so I took her to the family bathroom next to the pharmacy . I left my son in the cart with all of our merchandise and coats while I took the little on to the bathroom. While checking myself out at Self check out I saw the security, 2 people a Caucasian women in a uniform and a African American male in plain clothes watching me as I checked out. They were looking so hard it made me uncomfortable. I actually thought the guy was going to approach me. I spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars in Target. But I am going to limit my shopping there . Why do I fit the profile of a shoplifter? Is is because I come in with my children? Is it because my daughter had to use the bathroom in the middle of our shopping? Is is because we wear coats in the Fall? I understand they have to protect their merchandise but your plain clothes security are very obvious . One of the cashiers even told me that the security only follows African Americans. I hope she was joking. When I shop at Walmart I don't get this kind of Nonsense . Get it together Target on Lawndale ! read more

This has got to be one of the worst run Target's I've ever visited. It's the closest one to where I live, but I still try to avoid it whenever possible. I don't think they even understand the concept of "employee training." Typical case in point. Phoned yesterday, and despite letting it ring and ring and ring, got no answer despite two separate phone calls. Finally drove there, and stopped at the service desk to ask if they had a particular item. The individual at the desk was just short of rude, looked totally disgusted doing her job (always great to take it out on the customer!), and sent me to an aisle where the item could not possibly have been located. I asked another employee, and he suggested an aisle in the grocery department (righttttt ... a piece of merchandise in groceries!). I could sum up this store in one phrase ... they just don't care!!! The result of poor training, just hiring 'warm bodies" for jobs, and general customer indifference! read more

This location has gotten a lot better since my last review. Maybe they got enough complaints that they finally made some improvements. Also, they've tweaked the grocery selection to have less Walmart-tastic offerings, so the numbers of sleazy shoppers have dwindled considerably, and more classy people are coming back. read more

This target has to be the worst in the triad!! Customer service is a joke and not helpful at all. Also found them trying to sell over 25 bottles of concentrate Gerber formula that were expired!! Had a bad experience today in this store and although I got what I wanted in the end I had to tell them what they were going to do many times and it really was not that complicated. I spoke with a clerk, a supervisor and a store manager before the problem was resolved....really? I have emailed investor relations and I have let them know that I do not plan to return to Target for a while. Employees of Target, or any retail establishment, please put yourself in the shoes of the consumer...would you pay $5.00 for a pair of socks that could only be worn 1 time? Please do not say to me that you need the tag from the socks, we clearly had not intention of returning the item and we had the receipt but yet you want to make a federal case over these $5.00 socks? I can tell you that I spend way more than $5.00 at Target yearly but your behavior today made me realize that Target does not need my business and since I absolutely do not need Target I will take my business elsewhere. If people vote with their wallets the unemployment numbers will continue to grow in this country.
