My husband selected 2 pairs of pants while we were shopping and they happen to be in the clearance section for around $10. Perfect! We go to check out and the pants were the only clearance item we had. They ring up full price, which no big deal, it happens. The associate studies the pants! Checking the DPCI to make sure it matches. Ok, that's fine. She then proceeds to call over a total of 3 people over a 5 minute period while they all study the tag. We say it's fine, if there is an issue we won't buy them. The manager comes and says no, we can't sell you these for the price the tag has on it, I will sell them to you for $24. Huh? So I can't pay what the price tag says? She says it's wrong. I informed her there is a shelf full of them with the same price and asked did the DPCI match? She didn't even know what a DPCI was... the associate confirms the match. She then says they have had a lot of theft by the associates (nothing to do with me) who tag things wrong for their friends. I laugh and say look at our cart and receipt, nothing was clearance but the pants and if that was my plan I would want something of real value! Not pants. She says she isn't accusing us. I check out and say it's ok, we will buy what we have. She walks away to check our story and after she sees there is a whole shelf of pants with the same price she pushes us to buy the pants. Offers us free Starbucks for the trouble. We decline. She keeps talking practically begging us to buy the pants. My husband buys 1 pair because we are simply ready to leave at this point and she lets it be. I don't think it's appropriate to make a staffing issue with theft, the customers issue. Especially when it's something as cheap as pants. I would think they would do multiple items and items of value! If Target has this issue, they should track and manage it internally, not harass/ slightly accuse the customers. read more

This location has gone down hill with store cleanliness, products, and service within the last few years. If you notice the vehicles in the parking lot you'll see the customer base they now need to serve. What was once a bright, clean, orderly store with exciting products is now disheveled with products heaped in carts, pallets on the floor with worthless products like it's a warehouse (who wants a 1 oz container of cotton candy for $3.00 and display it on a pallet like it's a great display? This store is always out of popular items as they try and force you into purchasing other products. Like, who wants Target brand food? There's a reason why the stock is down $50.00 for the year or 38%. Corporate decision makers are asleep at the wheel, buyers are not paying attention to product selection, and local management for this store are just bodies with no added value or skill. The average spend of a Target customer is $49.00 per visit and an average of just 21 visits per year. Thats just barely over the $1,000.00 so it becomes obvious as to why the product selection has fallen off a cliff. This location reminds of K-Mart before their demise. read more

Update: Improvement in supply now pandemic is in the past. Produce varies, but I love the large blue berries on sale occasionally. CVS pharmacy and Starbucks is built in which is a plus. They still have checkout cashiers which is a huge plus. Like all stores, they need to be more attentive of cart wipes and hand sanitizer availability. Store is clean. read more

Self Checkout, I have been going to this Target for 25 years 175 Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale in Glendale Heights IL, Today it just the limit, after Paid the total for purchases and was NOT Rendered a Receipt asked the employee for the receipt she told me the transaction did not occur, I was able to show the transaction thru my Bank Account immediately. She then tried messing with the Machine had NO CLUE what she was doing !! Called another Tech Guy the person had NO Idea about it, told me will be back in 5 min never showed up, then wals and tells me you had no transaction for the items bought, showed him the Card been charged, he refused me to allow to take the items that I had paid for, How does Target manage to hire these sort of employees with NO Manners or Customer Service along with NO Training of handling situations,,,Thats why Target needs to maintain their Customer Service looks like you pay Peanuts and get this sort of employees. Target is that place where, like everyone else, I run in to pick up a few items and leave with five times as much as I intended to purchase. Oops? Why does this always happen at Target and not anywhere else? What IS it about Target?! Clearly, I like Target. A lot. I do not like this Target as much. It's big. It's clean. And it looks organized. I'll give them that. But just because it looks organized doesn't mean it really is. This morning, I swung by to look for some yoga pants and a dish drying mat (random, I know -- isn't that what Target is good for?) and found both with no problem. The squishy fabric dish drying mat was marked up at $7.99, which was cheaper than the plastic ones, so I snatched that up. In the activewear section, I browsed the clearance rack (30% off) for some yoga pants and found two amazing pants that fit me perfectly. One of them even had a clearance price sticker of $19.98. I thought I won the lottery. When I went through the checkout lane, the dish-drying mat rang up as $9.99 and the yoga pants were $40 each. WHAT! I'm not usually a stickler about prices, but this really irked me. I mentioned that the mat was marked $7.99, not nearly $10. The cashier did a price check and found an $8.32 price for the mat. She gave me that price, and it's only a few cents more than what I thought, so I was fine with it, but that really threw me off. And the yoga pants! I pointed out the $19.98 price sticker on one pair of paints and explained that I found them both in the clearance aisle, among several other pairs of the exact same pants. Apparently they were not clearance items and the $19.98 sticker was A LIE. If the sticker is on the item, it should be honored, right? Nope. I guess not. And finding all the awesome yoga pants in the clearance racks really was too good to be true. I don't know if someone was messing around with the racks and switched the clothes around, but that's just not cool. Rawr. I ended up buying them anyway because I needed them and $40 yoga pants was a lot better than $100+ for designer yoga pants, but I was not a happy camper. I like this location. Their stores are always clean when I've been in there. I like the fact I don't feel cramped while walking through. Yes isle do not take you on a direct route from the front to the back of the store but retailers want to make sure you cover the most square footage when shopping there. I went in to pick up a online order which is in the same area as returns which meant waiting. Did not like that do much as I probably waited 15 to 18 minutes to pick up a order I had already paid for . Was sitting in the back of the store frantically calling for a worker when one finally came she was no help, thats not even the worst of it there's more. My dr peper case rips open and goes everywhere around the store, no workers helped and there two lines open. The Good: $5 Clearance Movies that are arguably worth their weight in gold (Uncle Buck, Kindergarten Cop, Gremlins). The Bad: A young Sunday morning staff who seem like their Saturday night still hasn't ended. Standing in front of their registers, yelling down the line to other employees, joking about the previous day's/night's happenings. Blocking aisles with full carts of items while they discuss a date they went on the previous week and totally ignoring customers who may also want to move through to shop. It reminded me of what class was like in Jr High when a teacher would be late and we were left unattended. The Ugly: Messy and appeared to still not have recovered from the holiday rush. Not even close. The bottom line: With an all-star lineup of bargain DVDs, this target *should* be 5-stars, but with a lack of management and the weekend attitudes of staff, this T-Mart just isn't cutting the mustard. read more

I really like this Super Target because it's open later than most of the Targets in the area. Who doesn't love going in for toothpaste at 10:45pm and coming out with $100 worth of merchandise 15 minutes later? They keep it pretty well organized and it has a booze section. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a fan of that section. My only gripe is the layout. It's another one of those inferior Targets, but it's not as bad at the throwback 90s layout Targets that won't die out. And the people working here are pretty nice and helpful. They don't always know where everything is, but they at least do their best to help me locate it. I appreciate it! read more

This is the closest Target to my house and unfortunately it's one that I don't really like. Not every Target is created equal, in my eyes. This Target is always crowded and I feel like the selection isn't great. Parking is always a pain and the lines are long at check out. Forget the Starbucks inside the store, if you want a hot drink you will stand in line for at least 5 minutes. Under staffed big time. I like to shop at this location because they have a wide variety of things. First of all, the carts are so SMOOTH. I could push them around for hours. BEWARE! You will buy more things than you came for. You think you're only going to be there for 15 minutes but then it turns into hours. I came here to buy a board game. After grabbing the game I ended up making a whole lap around the store and spending nearly an hour in the beauty section. Everything is priced at an average price. Target has their own brand so, those items are cheaper than name brands. This location has a produce section. My only problem with it is almost EVERYTHING is wrapped in plastic. I was very disappointed seeing it. In this day in age, I'd hoped stores would try to package things in less plastic. This store also has a wide range of clothing products for: babies, women, girls, boys, men, and juniors. Everything is decently priced. I've bought a few pair of jeggings for my daughter her in the past. They were very good quality jeggings. I'm impressed that there is Starbucks inside the store. The Starbucks is convenient because sometimes you're just shopping and NEED a cup of straight coffee. Starbucks' got you covered. Overall a great experience. The store is very clean and organized. I'm not a fan of the HUGE Targets. It seems most of the items are overpriced here - even Dove Chocolate is marked waaaay up from what it was a few months ago, when it was closer to suggested retail. Their store-brand cookies, while seemingly a good deal, are pretty gross. The athletic clothes area isn't merchandised well - there are a LOT of clothes on certain racks (hard to shop), but only a few pieces on others. Several styles are mixed in with one another. And post-holiday clearance shopping? Fahgettaboutit! The clearance, while mostly sized correctly, is oddly laid out. Since they seem to have more clearance than they probably know what to do with, that's probably not here nor there. The kicker, though, was hearing one of the fitting room associates start to lose her marbles a little last night. She began sighing in this really loud voice, and it got progressively louder. The phone rang: "Siiigh." Complained with 1-2 other associates about "So-and-so calling off and claiming she's sick, though if she's seasonal why is she not showing up?" "Siiiiiiigh." And then just "SIIIIGH"ing. I get it..I worked clothing retail for yeeeeears. But get a handle on yourself before you lose your damn mind, child. And maybe if you weren't standing around and gabbing, you could actually get some work done. The registers were well-staffed and went rather quickly. I called this store to check availability of a product in grocery. I tried unsuccessfully for 40 minutes to contact them. I called about 10 times and most of the time the phone just kept ringing before finally dropping the call. At times I reached a human who said they would transfer me to grocery. But after they did, the phone kept ringing and then dropped. Several times I heard young women laughing when they picked up my call, then CLICK. I finally gave up. This location is usually quite good, with usually friendly staff. But unfortunately today the younger girl who was the checker that I went through, just exhibited terrible bad attitude. Not openly mean or angry, but just looked like she absolutely did not want to be there, barely looked me in the face, and when I tried to say polite things to her she just ignored me. Very cold. Target management usually has such friendly and helpful employees, unfortunately this checker was quite rude and unfriendly, very un-target like. Hopefully management keeps an eye on these things and gets rid of people that do not want to be there or do not want to be friendly. read more

The whole store is working really hard to prioritize health and safety during the holidays and also prioritizing time with quick card checkouts to reduce holiday lines and service. Rene (from swim dept.) and Danny (from facilities) helped us pack up a whole display Christmas tree on sale in record time and were very kind and gracious during the whole procedure. DO NOT BUY APPLE PRODUCTS FROM HERE. You will get conflicting information on return policy from this store versus what Target customer service tells you. If you call Target customer service, they say you can return opened Apple products as long as it's within the return timeframe, which I was within the timeframe. Marianne was not helpful and was rude. She states they follow Apple return policy, but they don't because Apple accepts returns on opened products as long as it is within the return timeframe. I would just stay clear of this store with any electronic purchase or just this store in general. Target at Schaumburg near Woodfield is a lot better. read more

Sometimes I feel like I live here. I think the two security guards know my husband and I quite well - we shop here often enough. It's like a time warp for us. Most trips are an hour plus because we like to take our time and start at the electronics and work our way to the groceries. The store is very clean and organized, and the aisles are wide enough that you don't feel crushed if someone is coming from the other direction. I don't agree with the person who said it's always crowded. What I mean is, sure, there's always people in the store, but it's so big it almost never feels too packed, even during the holidays. Now run across Schmale to the disaster that is Walmart any day of the week and you'll see such a drastic contrast you'll wish you could give Target more than 5 stars. I wish I could. read more

This location needs new/better management! Every time I shop at this location the shelves are empty. They always seem to push customers to the self check out lanes, with only limited checkers to check you out and the checkers they do employee and beyond slow. I would do self check out, but only 4 of the 8 self check out lanes are open and there is always 10 or more customers in line. Also, if Target wants their customers to use self check out, then provide the customers with an additional discount. Walmart here I come. read more

Some Targets look like they just got blitzed by a passing horde of 5-year-olds hopped up on Pixy Stix and Red Bull. This isn't one of them. This one is usually pretty well-ordered, clean, and well-stocked. They also carry the 16 oz. size of Noosa yoghurts, which makes me happy...the 8 oz. size just isn't enough, especially of the Honey one. All the people at the pharmacy and checkout counters have always been unfailingly polite. Good location. read more

For some reason, the map is a bit off when it comes to this location. This target is great. First of all, it's a super target. Let's be honest, Tarjay's are all good in general, but SUPER Targets are super. The quality of the produce is actually pretty good. Better than some straight up grocery stores. Plus, they have a bunch of organic, if you are into that. And whatever else you need. Hmm, let's say you need a tomato, shampoo, a desk, and a lamp. Target. Apple, razor, bedsheets, video game. Oh Target. This really is a go-to place. You can wander around for quite some time. I can look at pretty much the whole store. And they are open till 11! I didn't even realize they extended their hours, cuz I swear they were only open till 10 before. They have a Starbucks, so if you need to really get amped up for your shopping, by all means get on it. I like to look at the bikinis and the work out clothes, even though I will rarely buy either. I do have a couple of the Champion sports bras for yoga. I even got one on sale for $14, I thought they never went on sale but apparently they do! I love the clearance aisles, you never know what you might find. I like to look at their books, although I wouldn't buy them because I did purchase a Kindle at this very Target store a few months ago. But hey, I browse their book section to get some ideas for my Kindle. My last trip here I totally slipped in the produce section, one of the refrigerated areas was like leaking onto the floor. It would have been super embarrassing if more people had been around but luckily the store was kinda quiet and only a little kid asked me if I was ok....still not sure if that made it better or worse. Anywho, after my lil spill I found the most amazing thing. Coco Cafe. Coconut water with espresso. Already amazed, I would be to. But it even comes in a cute little package with an anchor on it. Clearly that was a huge part in me actually buying it to try it. But when I drank it, it was amaaaazing. I'm not that into coconut water, I only buy flavored ones and even then sometimes I can't handle it. Having the espresso totally did the trick. I would drink this everyday. This is also typically my go-to place for cards. Birthday cards, father's day cards....that kinda deal. The last holiday I went there I couldn't find a good one though, which was pretty sad. Pretty much, if you need to get something and don't want to feel like you need to either kill yourself or another person (aka go to Walmart) then you should probably just stop here. read more

This place is always crowded. I've been here at different times of the day and different days, it doesn't matter when you go, it's crowded. This is a SUPER Target which means they have lots of groceries, a DELI and BAKERY. I got some of the bread from the bakery and it was good, yet pretty pricey. The grocery section is HUGE, so don't plan to zip in and out of here. Also don't be fooled because you are in a Target, many of the prices are the same as Jewel and Dominicks. As far as cleanliness goes, the floor is ok and it doesn't smell, but the merchandise is always messed up. The clothes are mixed up on the racks, the piles of clothes aren't folded nicely and it reminds me of my tweens bedroom - it needs to be picked up! Since this is a bigger store, I understand the challenge in keeping it tidy, but it would help if there were employees around. They are REALLY hard to find and the red phone doesn't bring them out until about 5 minutes of waiting. Now when you go to check out, there are plenty of cashiers, so that definitely makes the experience better. But I can't give 5 stars like everyone else. When I go to these stores I want to be able to find my stuff and find it fast! read more

Love Target. They always seem well & consistently laid out. Nice lighting, and coloring. When they first added the 'Super' to this location, the produce was outstanding. Now it doesn't seem much better than the local Jewel (at which I don't shop), and can cost more for some things. They do a good job with their seasonal section, in the back, but get there when they first put it up, as it gets picked through quickly. Love their Red card. It a free debit card that you can only use at Targets, but it does save you on every purchase. read more

Keep in mind I frequent Target (a couple different locations) multiple times a week. This location is great because it has the grocery section as well. I avoid this Target like the plague. Store is always a disaster, random stuff left on shelves all over the store. My usual Target is the Wheaton store which is always super clean. I had no choice but to go back into GH Target to order cupcakes since Wheaton doesn't have the Bakery. Unfortunately no one was working in the bakery when I got there at 4pm. Bakery was closed, Deli was closed and Starbucks was closed. The next day I tried calling to order the cupcakes and once again no one is working in the bakery. On top of that, the staff were rude and unpleasant to deal with. If you have to return something, go to a different Target so you don't have the same experience as we did. read more

Target used to be an okay store to go to. They redid it and now it is totally horrible. there's no rhyme or reason to it anymore. This Target is only about 10 minutes away from my house, but I go out of my way to go to another one in the opposite direction. The store always seems poorly stocked and disorganized. There are never a sufficient number of cashiers working, and the lines move incredibly slowly. I understand that it is not the cashiers fault, but they don't help their cause by being friendly or helpful. read more
