My 300th review goes to my recent discovery of this wonderful boutique. My best friend and I were…read morespending the afternoon in downtown DG and decided to check out the shops. Our first stop was JACTS (that's what I'm calling it in this review). It's a cute little store with fashionable, yet accessible, clothing and accessories. Yes, a lot of the items here were out of my price range and after seeing a $90 dress, I was thinking this would be a short trip. But you know what's awesome about JACTS? Sales! While there, they were having a $10 off $50, $20 off $100 sale. I think there was also an extra percentage off clearance items. I made my way to the clearance rack and saw some really cute stuff. And then I saw this awesome gray leather jacket. It was down from $80 to $50! For a good leather jacket, I was totally willing to pay that. I tried it on and fell in love. While I was staring at myself in the mirror, my bestie found a cute, regular priced dress. It was $80, which made her hesitant about trying it on, but she decided to give it a shot. It fit her perfectly. I have a dress that has a similar cut, but it makes me look hippy. This was definitely made better and fit her like a glove. She was really on the fence about it and was thinking about what to do when I made my way up to the counter to buy my jacket. The wonderful employee told us that we could combine our purchase and get the $20 off, but pay separately, and we could split the $20 however we wanted. I was already going to get a discount on my jacket and I knew my friend really liked the dress and because it fit her so freaking well, I decided she could have the entire $20 discount. The woman thought that was like the nicest thing ever, so she gave me an additional discount on my jacket for being so damn nice. Yay! Being nice pays! My friend and I left very happy with our purchases. I was teetering on this review being 4 or 5 stars mainly because of the price, but I'm going with 5 starts because of one main reason: customer service. Not because of the awesome discount, but because of the attention we received while there. While we were trying on our clothes, the employees were giving us their opinions and why something worked or didn't. Another woman was there trying something on and they were honest with her about the item she was trying on and offered suggestions to what may work better. I love that kind of customer service. They're not trying to make a sale; they're working with you to make you look your best. I wish every store could do that. I wish I had more money, but I know I'll definitely be back to JACTS. Such cute stuff!

What a wonderful place with such kind people working there. They've been having problems with their credit card machine (like the other review said) but nothing of the kind was my experience. All the employees there were so kind and friendly. Trying to Google what to do to fix the machine. They profusely apologized and explained it's been happening for months and are getting a new machine asap. It's an extremely small business that gives all proceeds to the local outreach with the sweetest employees. Will be back. read more

I am fully aware the world in general is more expensive, but I feel the pricing is high for what it is. I understand there is overhead and it's a charity but $15 for a pair of average worn pants, no tags at a thrift store is crazy to me. Maybe online people will spend that, but an online shopper is different than a thrift store shopper. It almost feels like a consignment store, not a thrift store anymore. While I appreciate that they at least had a bathroom, which allowed me to stay as long as I did, the overall hassle overshadowed any enjoyment. I'm not sure if I'll make the trek again for a second chance. I had high hopes, but ultimately, this place just didn't live up to them. Still worth a try.
