It was easy to navigate, and it worked perfectly. I received follow-up emails and text messages for the pickup, where the donated furniture was going, and reassurance that the family furniture was going to the right place. Because the furniture was too big for me to move outside, and as Restore can't come into the house, Restore assigned the pick-up to Bulk Brothers. Bulk Brothers acknowledged the assignment, and began their own follow-up text messages, keeping me informed of the vehicle license plate that would do the pickup, driver, and time for pick up. This whole interaction, and follow-on actions by Restore and Bulk Brothers was easy and professional done!

The bedspread with 2 sham pillowcases were $80 and the pillow was at a reasonable price. I checked the store out to see if there was anything else worth buying. I think Home Goods may be more reasonable. Overall I am happy with my purchase. I am sleeping much better. It really did cool down my mattress for sleeping but I won't be returning for any future purchases.

Writing this after my 2nd follow up call with ServeCo who handles claims for damaged furniture…read morepurchased at Gavigans. I picked up my dining table on May 2nd and while assembling I noticed the paint job was not complete and the under areas finish was not complete and can cause scratches to your skin. The table itself had a huge chip that at a minimum should have been caught at packaging. I filed my claim on May 4 and they got back to me with a link to upload photos on May 5. I did that and called on May 6 to verify the upload was complete. Now after calling on May 13 and them saying someone will reach out in 24 hrs and calling again 48 hrs later and now someone will get back to me in 3 business days how is this reassuring. I absolutely love the piece but I am so disappointed with this purchase and not totally regretting it. I wonder how many folks have had this kind of response to a claim. Was given a contract, gave a deposit and said that it would be ready for delivery the second week in February. After two days into that week, I emailed her expecting her to call me to touch base about the order and learned that the sofa had not been done as the fabric I chose was not available. I expected a sales rep to have their management skills to be ahead of any potential problem as my contract is with Sofas Etc. and not Sherrill Furniture who is their agent making the furniture. After some back and forth, I was told that if I came in the store, I could pick out another fabric and was told that they would be "moving me to the head of the line above everyone else to get my softa within the next 6 weeks." While at the store, Karen called and spoke to the agent at Sherrill and learned that they just got the fabric in again and I could get the fabric of my choice. I said to Karen that I felt a little mismanaged in that there was no way I was receiving communication from anyone about the fabric. It was really Sofas Etc. that I had the contract with and obviously, no one was caring to communicate after I left the deposit. The Owner offered placating remarks and with my health compromised, I just wanted to go home and not deal with this kind of treatment. I left the store thinking that it was really coming and would be done in the beginning of April. I emailed Karen right after the beginning of April: "Another deadline missed?" in the subject line of my email and she then emailed me back saying they would look into it. The Owner emailed me exclaiming that they were having problems not getting communications with them. That Karen received messages that the fabric was there and also that it wasn't. I just felt abused and neither Karen nor the owners were taking any responsibility for the process at all. I didn't bother coming back to the store and told them to credit my deposit in full immediately. After all that, the Owner still insisted that perhaps he could offer a heavily discounted price if I would just let them try to get it done again. I just wanted the abuse of the whole process to be done and credit my account immediately. I have to put the onus onto Sofas Etc. as they had the contract with me and they should have been guiding and managing the process including all communications instead of operating from a "reactionary" process.

The customer service is absolutely terrible. Every time I called to get updates on my delivery, I was met with rude or unhelpful responses. They seemed disorganized, constantly giving me the runaround, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic information. To make matters worse, when my furniture finally arrived, it was damaged! I immediately contacted their customer service department, only to be transferred around with no resolution. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this company. I would strongly recommend avoiding American Freight if you're looking for reliable service and quality products. After going back and forth with American Freight for almost a year about my defective couch, I finally received a response after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. On September 19, 2024, I was contacted by someone named Bill, and unfortunately, the experience was just as bad as before. Bill was extremely insensitive and seemed irritated throughout the conversation, especially when it came to scheduling the replacement delivery. After all the frustration and lack of communication, I expected some level of professionalism and empathy, but that wasn't the case. Even when trying to fix their mistake, the poor customer service continues to be a major issue. I cannot stress enough how disappointing this entire experience has been. I will never purchase anything from American Freight again. To any potential buyers--beware of the headache you might be getting into!
