I was very impressed with this business establishment. From the very moment I walked in, my family was greeted with a smile and a genuine hello. The employees here were so kind and friendly. You can tell that there are good people who work here. They take pride in their jobs and serving customers. I have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. That really says a lot about this business and their employees. I will be back to patronize this business and would recommend it to anyone in the area. A+ service all the way. Five . This target is in a rough patch IMO. I was in the store for about 30-45 minutes, actual shop time probably 15. The rest was just waiting. Long lines are getting out of hand. Either put more people on shift or install more self checkouts. Then I waited in line at Starbucks for 10 mins or so because no one was at the Pizza Hut counter, only to be told they can only get me what was already made ie. popcorn, hotdogs, icees, because the person working was probably on her 45. Bro I've been in the store for damn near that long and it's been empty this whole time. She should be there by now. It just seems like poor people management. The store still has all the necessities it's just people arent utilized appropriately. Just my opinion. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had at target in decades of shopping at the chain, in many different areas and states. It's unfortunate because it is a nice looking store, however that doesn't matter when the staff is barely working. They all seem very unhappy so I'm assuming it's management...starts at the top! I ordered a mat for a bench on June 4. I was told it would be two days shipping. Now I'm getting from target that it will not be here till July 1. I have called three times to try and cancel it because it keeps saying preparing to ship it hasn't shipped but target in their insanity will not cancel it while it's preparing to ship! I have to wait until it's shipping to me and then cancel it how effing crazy is that? Be careful what you order from target they said two days it's gonna be a month they are liars. read more

Huge shout out to Anthony T.! I use this Target regularly and have never had a problem with the product availability or service, but today I received exceptional service from an outstanding team member! I called because I had placed a drive up order on the app over 24 hours previously and it still showed as "processing". I had the pleasure of speaking with Anthony T. who was so friendly and helpful. He checked the computer to see that my order was ready, but also took the initiative to check that my bags were actually there waiting before I made the drive down. He said he would get my order ready while I was on my way. When I arrived, he had my order ready and grabbed it super fast and loaded it into my car and I was on my way. It wasn't until I was speaking with him on the phone and it was such a pleasure dealing with him, that I actually realized that I was expecting to have a lot more of a hassle. Not because I have been treated poorly at this Target in the past, but because overall customer service these days at any establishment does not seem to be very good and employees often make the customer feel like a burden. Anthony was absolutely the opposite and is an outstanding example of exactly what customer service should be. I have 2 young boys and would be proud if they did such and excellent job when they get older! I am so grateful that he helped me today, really was a bright spot in my week! Thank you Anthony! Came to this Target to find some Shopkin toys before meeting up with my old co worker for dinner. They had more selection of items here compared to the Target in Chula Vista. I was looking around and this location also has a grocery section. Store is pretty clean and organized. There were plenty of employees! No one offered me any assistance which was fine. I like to walk around and look. The only negative was the lines. It was ridiculous! There were only three lines open. Then one of the employees had to radio more cashiers up front. Finally, two other lines had opened. I'm thinking to myself why don't they just have more cashiers open. I saw how many lanes they had but didn't open them up until an employee saw the long lines forming. You can pretty much find anything you need here. Plenty of parking in front so it's easy to get in and out of the parking lot! read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED with my visit today. I was already having a rough day, and then was accused of shoplifting. Extremely RACIST older larger lady assumed I would be shoplifting due to the fact that I'm Latina. I prefer self checkout because my Ingles is not the best, and I was already upset and didn't want to speak to anyone. I have bought some shoes and unknowingly someone had priced them wrong or whatever was the case, and the old white employee assumed I switched it. They're messy and the shelves are regularly out of product. Empty shelves= more business for Amazon. They rarely ever seem to have any hand baskets either. It's hot outside so we where looking for a above ground pool. Every where was sold out. We finally found one in the south San Diego location. They where very helpful and we saved a additional 10 percent opening a credit card. The employees who helped us load the truck with the pool where awesome also. Thanks for Your help!! read more

Today I came to this target to get a box of diaper. At the self checkout I was accused of not paying for my purchase because my receipt did not print out and I called an associate over to help me get a receipt printed. She was very rude and unprofessional. She did not want to get the manager. She asked multiple times am I sure I didn't put the receipt in my purse. Seriously, if I have the receipt, why would I ask for one. Even at that when the manager was contacted, she didn't approach me and asked what the issue was. The manager passed it on to another employee to deal with the situation. Then once the receipt was printed, they did not print out the gift receipt I requested for my purchase because apparently the manager has no authorization. Which I find BS!!! This is my go to target and to be treated like I didn't pay for my merchandise was really an insult. I hope all employees are retrained in customer service on how to handle situations like this. The managers need to set a good example for their employees. And if the employees aren't happy with what they do, find another line of work!!!!! read more

On December 2, I purchased 6 Visa gift cards for $400 and gave them to workers and friends for Christmas. One by one five of them called me to say the cards did not work as the numbers were scratched off. I called the 6th person, and he returned the card to me unopened. After spending hours collecting all the fraudulent cards, I went into Target January 8 with my receipt of payment expecting an apology and refund for the inconvenience and embarrassment. Unfortunately I was denied this EVEN THOUGH THE MANAGER AND I OPENED THE SEALED, UNOPENED CARD FROM THE 6TH PERSON AS PROOF OF THE ILLEGITIMACY OF THE CARDS! I was then given a Visa Customer Service phone number and spent 41 minutes documenting with a very hard to understand agent-then told to email pictures of card, receipt, ID, etc. AND told it would take 30 days to review! Target, you sold me cards that were completely compromised and are responsible to take care of your customer! Then Target, YOU do battle with Visa. This is not right and I want a full refund. read more

I purchased a $100 gift card from this store and the gift card is invalid. Target's customer service is horrible and says they have to research the issue, which can take 7 to 10 business days. This is a nice Target. I've never been to this Rancho San Diego location before, but I bought on-line and this was the only local store that had my item in stock. Like all Target stores it is well laid out and organized. This location is super clean. The aisles aren't all cluttered with merchandise and pallets of items for sale (take note Walmart!). The parking lot is huge and I found an open spot right up front. I did not catch his name, but the associate at the customer service counter was efficient, polite and friendly (Saturday, July 7 around 1:00 PM, management). The only downside was that the pool supplies were completely wiped out, but I guess a 109 degree Friday will do that. The patio furniture shelves were bare as well. Good store though. read more

It's great for buy electronics. However they did a remodel ways back. They serve the little Pizza Hut personal pans. But every time I go to buy one they never ever have any. I love eating those small pizzas, but if they don't have the time, hours, people to schedule to cook, or any other reason then just get rid of that area and fill it with something your able to fill. I used to love this store but I've been harassed one too many times by an employee named Donald at the self-checkout. Every single time he asks if we already paid for things that have clearly been scanned. While other white shoppers are never asked or bothered. Today was the last straw, after purchasing a backpack and paying for the items he asked to check the backpack. Seriously? After he was practically breathing down my neck eyeballing me as I paid. I love target in general but this particular location has one of worse return co-workers. I went to return or actually to swap out the correct item since the one I open have a different thing inside( wrong packaging). The co worker asked me to go get my own product. I was already mad that I had to come back to return the darn item but now I have to get it again when it's not my fault. I know I sound like a princess but I was hoping that if one own company is at fault than I should at least not have to make my way to get the correct item. Arghhh. So I called the manager about the return process and he confirmed that it's correct. The customers have to make their way to grab the correct item when returning or swapping out for a correct one. WTF. SMH. I guess I was just bothered because on my way to my item again I saw so many co workers on the sales floor, why can they just radio someone so I can be on my way. I came back and their four return co workers not doing anything. No urgency to help me and lazy. So to some it up I still love the store but I really dislike their process and co workers. read more

HUGE thank you to the security guard working tonight. I was alone with my 2 year old daughter..we had a man following us around the store, to the bathrooms, just kind of lurking around the whole time we were there and kept looking at my daughter. I discreetly told an employee who got security and the guard stayed with us the whole time until we drove away. I can not remember his name. I'm so sorry. Do not go to the Rancho San Diego on Tuesday or Wednesday morning from 8-9 if you have cancer, are a senior citizen, or have a compromised immune system!!! The store is opened at that time to cater to customers with underlying health conditions and seniors. However, when I was there today, FIVE employees were either not wearing a mask or wearing it under their nose. What was most disappointing is that one of the managers was wearing it under her nose the entire time I was checking out. For a very short period of time, she was within six feet of me. Managers set the tone for employees, so her behavior explained to me why four of her employees were not following mask protocol. If any of the five employees are silent COVID carriers, that can be fatal for people like me. Up until today, this has been my favorite Target store. It's extremely clean, employees have always been helpful and friendly, so I will return after COVID is a thing of the past and no longer a concern. However, for now, this Target is dangerous for me because of a manager and employees who don't follow health guidelines regarding wearing masks. read more

Store overall looked good. "Nat" the cashier should not be working with people. Low energy, not courteous or polite like you would hope. Criticized my daughter for not having a wallet. I told her it was her choice to have a net bag and purse Vs a wallet and purse. She just stared at me. Nat forgot to charge me for a bag, then dropped one in air and let it float down to the ground like I had the plague instead of handing it to me politely like a Target friendly cashier. Unimpressed. I have a retirement from Target and spent many years in executive leadership hiring, and sadly letting people go, Nat needs some major coaching, counseling, or if less than 90 days... it might be time to say goodbye. Between this Target and the one in Grossmont Center I don't know which one I like better. Both are equally great. This one has a pharmacy which is convenient although I haven't used it yet. The store is organized well and it's clean. Easy to find everything and they stock everything I need. I usually run in for just a few things and leave with a cart full. My cashier today, Tariq, was really friendly and polite as are most of the employees. It is one story with plenty of parking. read more

This was one of my worst experiences ever. As I got 2 items; I went to the express lane (10 items or less), the cashier (her name is Veronica) was helping a customer and I was next, suddenly when she is done with that customer she turned and called another customer was waiting on the regular lane asking her to come down!!! She told me that she will take her first, I didn't make any comment. The next cashier was trying to find a price for an item; she asked Veronica who told her to wait, when Veronica done with that customer; she turned to me saying that she is closed to help the other cashier to find the item price. I told her that this is rude and not acceptable (I was very embarrassed), but she didn't listen to me and left me alone. This Target used to be my first stop shop, but not anymore. The staff at this Target seems to be friendly. However, the trashy behavior of the customers often creates unmediated chaos. This location needs more staff supervision and/or security. I often find empty boxes with stolen goods at this store. Today I found a half-consumed can of sparkling water on a shelf. A few weeks ago I caused a can of sparkling water to drop on the floor because an idiot customer had opened the horizontal box. Also, today, after having left the store I noticed that the tea that I bought today had already been opened. To make things worse the hand-held scanner at the checkout line would not scan my gift cards or App. Trashy. This location needs more supervision. read more

I am really a very avid user of Target and I recently just moved to the El Cajon/ Granite Hills area. This one is always super clean and those shelves are stacked to my little hearts desire. The employees are kinda sluggish and there are only 2 check outs open with 4 people at each when I want to get out quickly. Overall positive shopping experience and I will continue to use this one over the one located by the mall and Broadway. read more

This is my local Target and I prefer this one over the one by 67 and Fletcher; however an unfortunate event happened today. This woman working self-checkout demanded I place all my items on the bag area, which I understand makes it easier to not scan the items twice. However the humiliating part was that she referred only to me wven though everyone in line were doing the same thing. The part I will never forget was, "please place the items in this area where I can see them." Not its store policy, not to make it easier but to place them where SHE can see them...I was humiliated in front of everyone looking at me like a common thief. She only refer to me not anyone else on that line and she proceeded to just stare at me the whole time. I am Lebanese and Latino and it felt very very wrong. Her wording her attitude and how close she came to my face. She added something else...."Now I understand I wasnt here when you started scanning but from now on when you self-checkout I want you to do that." I am calling the store tomorrow and placing a former complaint. I have the receipt as well as the cameras rolling. Her attitude was condescending almost warning me dont still anything I wana watch every item you scan. How dare she! Older woman, grey hair with glasses. I am humiliated and saddened by this grotesque attempt at inferring something about me or my friend who is also a minority. If this was store policy why use WERE I CAN SEE IT who talks like this to a customer. A well dressed, well-mannered man like myself. This is a written complaint. Tomorrow I will call the store and get to the bottom of this. read more
