I have never been to a dissapointing Target other than this. This store had sooooo many employees on the floor, and it looked like a disaster hit it. I think most of that stocking should have been done pre store opening. The back to school section is all the way in the back right hand corner of the store. Its August! Should not it be closer to the front. They only had 4 planners left. The young man in the section admitted that he didnt know where the planners were, and also that it was a mess. He need not have said that, especially if that is his section. I looked forward to perusing the teacher planners like I see my colleagues doing on lune. This store had none. A hot mess. This store needs to close its produce dept. They had an entire fridge full of expired milk. When i brought this information to one of the workers they seemed the least bit interested. This is not the first time this has happened. Shoppers be ware of expired food. read more

I placed an online order for pickup at Clifton store. Nine hours later and multiple chats, calls and Facebook posts - order was hung up for no known reason and order was cancelled. Placed a second order and now several hours later, same thing - Store does not answer the phone after multiple calls. Worst experience ever. Do not even try to place order for pickup at this awful store - waste of time - you will never get it. read more

Tar Shay! (During the week) This is our go to dept store when we're feeling fancy and don't feel like standing in long lines at Wally World. The customer service is cool, the store is organized, the parking lot is huge and it's in close vicinity to other retails stores and restaurants. I will add, this Tar Shay is easier to shop in during the week. Once, the weekend hits - it can go from 0-100 real quick! You've been warned, so plan ahead and I believe you'll enjoy it! read more

Although it is closer to me, it is not my usual location. I usually prefer the Vauxhall location because it has a larger selection of items. This location does have its benefits, which are listed below: Pros: -Parking is easy, with many spots available in the large lot -Store is always kept clean, including the floors and the bathrooms -Most of the staff is polite and personable, although I did not find that to be the case when I attempted to buy some water in the food court -This location is not as crowded as some other locations -Items are logically placed and store is well laid out Cons -Fewer items and less of a selection than other Target stores -Seem to have fewer carts and often they have bum wheels that go "click, click, click" when you go down the aisles A good location when you want to go shopping to pick up the essentials after catching a movie at the AMC. read more

If I didn't show up here at least twice a week, the Target employees would probably call my emergency contact. I need (not want) to come here that often for toiletries, baby items, bananas, organic milk, paper towels, medicine, the list goes on. I rather come here then the supermarket for these items as they are slightly less expensive. Somehow they figured I was buying lots of baby related products and started sending me a coupon book. This is one marketing program that I don't mind at all. Also, this Target has it all - Pharmacy, photo center, optical, grocery section, and a Pizza Hut. Who knew they sell prescription glasses?! I really love Target. They keep their stock up to date and for a big box store its kept neat and clean. I usually go there for cleaning and laundry supplies. They often have deals where you buy 3 items and get a $5 ot $10 Target gift card so its kind of like buying 2, get one free. They also have a good pet department where I can stock up on alot of products. They have two banks of self serve checkouts that move quickly and always have an associate there if you need assistance. read more

Parking: enough space for you to find a spot. Employees: all helpful from those on the floor to those behind the register. You are bound to find at least one employee in each department. Inside: signs are clear enough from different angles to find what you're looking for. Aisles are not a mess. They're organized. You won't find many variations but enough to give you options. read more

I seriously would be lost without Target..it's also a dangerous place for me. Target is the type of place that I could go into with absolutely no intentions of buying anything and walk out with 20 different items. Today I had intentions. I was finishing Christmas shopping and needed to print pictures, buy candy as stocking stuffers, and find a holiday sweater for ugly sweater day at school. I'm not usually a last minute shopper, but this sweater purchase was definitely not planned out. While I didn't get exactly what I was looking for, they still had an alternative I was okay with getting. I also walked out with a new bathing suit for my approaching trip to Florida (I told you, Target always gets me. The DEALS! I can't even..) Anyway, I digress. Point being, Target has it all. If ever I'm in a pinch, it's usually my go-to place. Obviously, they don't always have the best quality items, but you can't beat the prices and convenience. Targets in general always seem to be packed, so my suggestion would be to have more staff at the registers on a regular basis. Parking is never an issue at this particular location. Also, this time I received my photos in 3 minutes, which was great, but sometimes there isn't always someone readily available, and I have to track down an employee to get my pictures. They are always friendly and happy to help, but it can take some time before someone is sent to that department. Thanks Target and Target employees for helping me time and time again. The Target in Clifton is around the corner from where I work/live so I have been coming here for quite a while now. They have a Pharmacy (which was originally Target, which has recently been changed to an in store CVS pharmacy - not sure how this will affect the service), who I get all of my prescriptions filled by today and have not ever had an issue. Friendly and very courteous, definitely better than the CVS I used to take my prescriptions to in Clifton on Bloomfield Ave by the Allwood circle. The grocery is well stacked with standard pricing (if not a little elevated since you don't get all the same circulars/coupons like you do from Shoprite, etc). Pretty much has everything I ever need though when out shopping for my family. Only problem I have with this place is I can never seem to get out without having to buy toys for my kids.. read more

Checked their website over a couple of days for item inventory. Since website said item in stock and the aisle, decided to go today. Once there, went to aisle, no items. Walked around a bit, no items. Asked a associate and she told me that their website is always a few days behind. Walked around a bit and picked up 2 items that I could use. Went to cashier lines and stood in line waiting for customers in front to go. After ten minutes, a associate tells me that the line starts by her. I told her I was there for 10 minutes and she said she didn't see me. Meanwhile, 4 people with full carts were in front of me again. What a dimwit. Needless to say, Target is not for me. Target or should I say it the way I pronounce it "Tar-shay" is definitely a to go store for everything. Clothes although not name brands works well for socks , t-shirts and even jeans. What I like to call my knockeround clothes. They have a little food court a pharmacy fresh produce and a great alternative to Oscar Meyer Bacon, their own brand Market Pantry.. Try it I promise you will enjoy it.... They are clean down to their bathrooms. I must say it is always a nice experience to shop there. And like a previous person stated you go in with intentions of buying one or two things and walk out with 20 things lol....addicting... Enjoy Yelpers!!!! read more

This Target location is not horrible, but not great either. I like that it has a lot of parking, wide open spaces, and friendly employees (when you can find one). But what I dislike is how disorganized the entire store is. Whenever I come here, there are constantly goods from all different sections found all over the place. They also always seem to be out of stock of a lot of merchandise, ESPECIALLY the clothes (I can never seem to find attire found on their website in stock in this store). read more

this Target is ok. More like 2.5 stars, if i wanted to be petty. There's never really anyone around to help you. You have to search. Then if you do find someone, they don't know because it's not their department. The selection is ok, Paramus Target, i feel is bigger with more variety in every department. & more organized. The best or easiest shopping experiences I've had here are mornings & mid days. After that, the teenagers begin their shifts & that in itself is why, if I have the time, i go out of my way to go to Paramus. They all have their raging teenage hormones going on, combined with the fact that they want to be cool in front of their other teenage co workers... so when asked a question... you get that I'm to cool for my target uniform answer. It's my baby's 1st Christmas. I bought his ornament online for a 2 hr pick up because we are putting the tree up , but I was not able to pock it up same day. When I went the next day, they had cancelled my order because the item was not available. Very disappointed!!! read more

What a mess this store is! Target used to be my favorite and now I no longer want to shop there. Saturday afternoon and one cashier! Really. Self checkout lines to the back of the store. Shelves were a complete mess with products thrown all around. Floor dirty with spilled stuff and even saw employee slip. Went back 15 minutes later and no one cleaned up or even put a cone or anything to warn people. Called and complained about 2 weeks ago and not a single response. Not from corporate, not from the store. I'll pay a few cents more not to wait in a 45 minute check out line and have to hunt for what I'm looking for. What a disgrace! read more

This is a super target so you can do groceries here as well. It's a busy target as any other target. Overall, this target customer service is much better than others we've been to in Bergen County. Sometimes, they do have good deals but overall Walmart is better in pricing. Depending on seasonal promotions, this target does price match with other retailers. You just have to show them the advertisement. If it's online, they will only accept their competitors pricing like Walmart or Sears. They don't price match retailers that are online only. There's plenty of parking at this location but because it's crowded the parking is crazy. I recommend coming here on weekdays and evening hours on weekends. read more

This is the worst target around! I would avoid at all costs, however it is the target closest to me, which is disappointing. Every time I walk into this store (morning, noon, night) on any given day of the week, it is always a complete and utter disaster! First, the store is always dirty. It is as if the floor is never swept. Second, I never understand why there are ALWAYS carts of merchandise found in all parts of the store, blocking the aisles. Why are the shelves NEVER full then?! If the shelves and racks ARE stocked, then 9/10 times they are sloppy. The worst is the shoe and the grocery department. I always find it to be a waste of my time walking in there because I never find what I am looking for! It is always an unpleasant customer experience. The employees are always rude. Once in a blue moon, you can find a competent and trained employee. It seems as though this particular target hires many teenagers who are always on their phones and chatting amongst themselves in the corner doing anything but working! There is never anyone around to offer assistance either. I truly feel corporate needs to come in and see how this place operates. I used to work at several corporate retail companies and I know that this is not how a retail store should function. I would try to end on a positive, but I truly cannot think of anything to say except it's close to me. It is truly a shame that I find myself often driving out of the way to the North Bergen or Edgewater locations. Those locations operate as a Target should in my opinion. read more

I do a lot of Target shopping and this Target has the nicest cashiers of any store in the tri-state area. It's also a very clean and well-organized store. They have a HUGE clothing clearance selection, which for some odd reason seems like it has even more clothes than their regular clothing section. Their shoe selection is very small though. Too bad because I love getting a bunch of cute & cheap trendy Target sandals every summer and not worrying about getting them wet and stuff because they are going in the garbage when the fall comes. Their home goods selection is really nice though and the candle aisle is great. So why 4 stars and not 5? I bought a couple of packages of those spiraled veggies noodles that were a several days away from their expiration date and when I took them out of the fridge a couple of days later, they were completely spoiled. $9.98 in the garbage. Another time I bought a dairy item and when I got it home I noticed it was past the expiration date. I also had an unopened cheese package mold two months before the expiration date. I don't have food from anyplace else doing this so it's definitely not my fridge. read more

This Target routinely has maybe 4 or 5 registers open. Even on the weekend. This makes shopping at this location annoying enough. (Today another customer in the parking lot asked me how the lines were, I told her they suck as usual, and she got in her car and left.) To add to the annoyance, today I tried to buy a bottle opener (along with over $150 worth of other items) and when they tried to ring it up I was told it wasn't for sale until tomorrow. So she called a manager over. The manager took the bottle opener away and reiterated that it wasn't for sale until tomorrow. This manager could not understand why I was upset. She offered to have someone go get me another bottle opener. No. Not the point. This situation tells me that any item I pick up on the sales floor (key word there: SALES. AS IN, FOR SALE. AS IN, BUY THIS JUNK.) could potentially not actually be for sale. I worked in retail for a long time and we never had items that weren't for sale yet. That's just completely bonkers to me. And if they weren't for sale for some insane reason, we sure as $&@# wouldn't put them out on the floor. Step up your game, Clifton Target. read more

Rude cashiers. Prepare to have one treat you like crap. And it doesn't matter what time/day it is either. Lila was latest experience today and she was annoyed that I actually had the nerve to ask for another bag when she piled all my items into one smaller bag (totaling over $120). The nerve of me to even think of asking when my items where falling out of the bag she packed it so much. My mother went later on in the day on her own, and had the same cashier. She experienced the same attitude and packing and annoyance when she asked for another bag. After several complaints to corporate and no response from anyone, I am convinced that Target does not even care about their customers. It would suck if we all started shopping somewhere else and all your stores went out of business, wouldn't it? Then maybe you should actually listen to what the people that shop at your stores actually say. Get here early Sunday mornings to avoid the weekend rush. But be prepared to be treated like you are the servant. read more

Worst managed Target in America I've lived in NYC, Los Angeles, Florida, Georgia, and now I have a Target right in back of me. Mile long lines!!!! It amazes me that there are lines so long in this particular store that you can barely walk through the front. Security follows you around like you are going to shoplift or something. As I finished my shopping I walked to self check out, everything was awesome. As I was finishing up my transaction, a notification popped up saying something along the lines of 'a cashier is coming to assist you with my correct change' since I assume there wasn't enough change in the machine. No came to assist so I had called over a young lady who was working at self check out. She then approached my friend and I and asked what the problem was with attitude, when clearly the screen showed what the issue was. She then did whatever she did on the machine which told me my change and she turned to me and said "What a penny? You want the penny" With the most disgusting attitude I've ever seen. I then told her "oh okay never mind" then she proceeds to say with attitude again "Oh alright" I grabbed my items and left the store. I will always regret not going back and telling her I want my penny. It's my change. Come on target train your employees better! #regretful #thecustomerisalwaysright read more

As far as Targét goes, pretty abysmal. They never seem to have more than three cashiers working and although they are in the area doing other tasks, management never calls in reinforcements to open more lines. They also leave groups of carts in the checkout area piled together looking like a destruction derby. read more

This is the closest Target that is open on Sundays late and I desperately needed some air conditioners. It was becoming too painful in the apartment. The one employee directed me to one spot. We found only two boxes of ac units. I picked one for the living room but wanted a much smaller one for the bedroom. After looking at end caps, I couldn't find it. We found an employee, who directed us to another end cap further away and there they were?! It was so weird and out of place by like the greeting cards. Whatever, I just wanted to get them installed and go home. We finally get to the register to ring up. However, my card refused to allow the approval. We tried 3 times. Then I called my bank, I had the funds, they just didn't want to approve it because it was such a large purchase at Target (ever since the issues with the credit card fraud, my bank flags any large purchases at all at this store). Ugh. I had to wait 10 mins while it cleared. I went to ring up again, still nothing. And then it kept taking the funds out of my bank account still. Finally, we used my boyfriend's card and even HIS bank flagged it as fraud. Ridiculous. After 20 mins, finally my card went through. We both had to call our banks to verify it was us. What insanity. When I worked in retail, I'd call the banks along with the customer or the bank just required the store to call up real quick to confirm. It was ridiculous because we just stood there and stood there waiting. Target has to do something with the banks to make sure they're not getting flagged because that's ridiculous. read more

Love all Targets, they have everything anyone can ever want. Now that they adopted the grocery department they are even better. I find everything that I want anytime and its fresh too. They offer very fresh meat and that of a good cut too. Try their steaks, just stop by, go home and slap that bad boy on the grill and watch the magic happen.
