Everyone who works at this Target should be IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED. The employees feel that they are above the customers and are not required to assist them. If you find a defective product on the shelves, you will be asked to find a suitable replacement yourself. If you ask where the bathmats are located, you will be told that if you can't see them, they are not there. If you ask where the disposable food gloves are situated, the associate will tell you they are unavailable because s/he cannot spell the phrase properly on his or her telephone. If you are polite and say, Britishly, "I am sorry to bother you," you will be lavished with an unsolicited rodomontade in which you will be told that you have no reason to apologize, unless you are a phobe or an ist. I have shopped at this Target for two years, and its problems have accreted to the point at which this location will no longer be the target for the acquisition of my shopping desiderata. It is wonderful to have a Target so close in our neighborhood! The staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and polite. If you need help finding something, they will drop what they are doing to bring you over. Express type of Target, more focused on groceries than consumer products. Overall, good selection but many other options in the area for produce (Trader Joe's/Mariano's). In a good area for convenience if you need a couple of things. Decent prices and self checkout service. Also, they have a Starbucks inside. read more

I generally really like Target stores. I really do. This one is not one of my favorite. This store is differently smaller than the other Target stores I've been to. The space they do have, is well planned out. The employees are not overly service oriented. Prices seem to be reasonable, however, I won't be giving up CVS or Walmart Neighborhood Market to this store. Overall.... best of luck to this Target. read more

As far as Targets go this one is small. Do not expect a big electronic section or a big home furnishing area. Because of the size its really just for the people that live in that neighborhood. The staff is friendly and will answer all your questions if you have any. read more

This Target is the convenient store of my dreams, and we're lucky to have it in this neighborhood. I often visit after working out at my yoga studio nearby, and I appreciate that it is open late enough for me to comfortably shop after my 8pm workout classes without feeling like I'm being rushed. One of the best aspects of this Target is their food and produce section, which may be smaller than most larger Targets, but does the trick when I need some apples or lettuce for a salad after a sweaty class. They also have that $5 Target wine, which is truly a blessing. Please note that their Bullseye's Playground area (aka the dollar section) is a lot smaller here because this location is small, but as long as you know that going in, you won't be disappointed! read more

I live 4 minutes away from this target and can find almost anything I'm looking for in here. It is open 'til 11pm, very convenient for me because I have a 4 yr old son and can get what we need when we need it. The store is very clean and the employees are always helpful. :) read more

I do love Target stores. This location in Lincoln Park is an amazing store. I stopped here because I was running an errand near by. Friendly staff. Clean location. Plenty of space. Well organized store. If I had the time too look around I would. I will be back soon. Plenty of check out lanes including the self checkout. While this target is smaller, it seems to have most of the things you'd need. It has a Starbucks and Freshii. Prices here seem to be a bit higher than I usually see at other targets though. Extremely mad. Very bad experience today at this location. No customer service at all!! I stopped by this location after work. I was trying to load up groceries for tomorrow. While I was at check out, this cashier was not paying attention to what she was scanning and she kept messing up. I told here that she already scanned my pasta sauce and she said she wasn't, ok fine, keep going. After I paid, I checked my receipt BAM there goes a double charge and a makeup primer that I never purchased. Now, I have to go back to the line, dig out everything from my bag and have her check again. To make it short, she came with a conclusion, besides the over charged, she claimed she forgot to scanned one item with the purchased and need me to pay the differences. Come on people. A two star rating is unjustified. Yeah, cashier check out can be little slow and they don't have all the same items or amenities as the full size Targets on Division or State Street but for the people that live in the neighborhood, this place is a godsend. And I'll gladly pay a little more than other Target store prices to avoid the hell that is the Neighborhood Walmart on Broadway. Also, who cares if there are too many Starbucks on this three block stretch of Clark Street?! This store is extremely useful and convenient for those of us that have had to shop at the Big Apple, the Walgreens, or the Trader Joe's in the past. I was thrilled when I found out that Target would be moving into the space previously held by Best Buy. We don't have any Target stores in the area and I always have to travel to the Uptown or Logan Square Target stores to get my shopping done. I knew that this store would be a smaller, "neighborhood" version but I was none-the-less excited. Imagine my surprise when I went to this Target today, only to find that it was the big suck. Basically, most of the things that we go to Target to get, this Target does not have. Think you're gonna head here to pick up some dog food or cat food? Nope. They don't have it! What's worse, the prices for the same items are significantly more expensive than the rest of the stores in the neighborhood. For example, Noosa yogurt is $2.79 here and $1.79 everywhere else in the neighborhood. Home Run Inn Pizza, $8.99 here and $6.99 at the rest of the stores in the neighborhood. Seriously what a joke. Everything that I normally buy at all the other stores in the neighborhood was more expensive here. This store is going to fail. I guarantee it. When I went in there it was empty, no shoppers. There's another Target opening up like 7 blocks away on Clark and Belmont over at 3200 N Clark. What kind of sense does that make? This Target doesn't have anything that you can't get from Walgreens or Walmart Express a few blocks away, so why pay several dollars more for the same exact items? Makes no sense. First time I went here last year I found a handsome version of something I needed - an upright paperwork/file folder rack. So I was thrilled they'd moved into the space formerly occuped by Best Buy (which I missed). Had been meaning to get back and spend more time checking it out. Finally explored the place in detail the other day - it's not nearly as big as most Target stores. A nicely curated small selection of items in lots of categories from office supplies to small electrics and from personal items and cute clothes to fresh food at reasonable but not bargain prices. Lots of self-checkout lines that seem to work well. Was hoping to sit down and work for a bit, but the Freshii section at the south end of the store didn't look too inviting because the person who was supposed to be working there was sitting down behind the counter so that it appeared no one was there. Plus this particular day, a cool one outside, they hadn't yet turned the A/C on and it was seriously too warm in the store. Had to dig out my folding fan to be able to stand it. Later, when I was about ready to leave, it finally cooled down. I'm a lot closer to Walmart Neighborhood Mart so that's my go-to, but If I lived closer to this store, it would be my go-to place for fresh food and toiletries, and I'd probably put all my prescriptions with the pharmacy. A nice feature is you can order things online and pick them up here with no shipping charges. That's always a blessing. Clean and well-laid out with cheerful employees. It's a good addition to the neighborhood. read more

It's not a full size Target so I had to make substitutes. Mostly I will go there with that in mind or just go to one of the regular size Targets. My girlfriend said the groceries are great. My complaints here are pretty minor. It's going to be a useful store for us just not all the time. This store does not have recycling bins for paper and ink cartridges. read more

This is not a bad Target location. Like other city-grade locations in Chicago the selection here is relatively limited as it's a single floor footprint. But it seems like the selection here is a lot better than the Belmont/Clark location. I've been able to get phones and luggage here, at least. I thought all the workers at this Target were extremely friendly and helpful. The parking garage is very convenient, they have a lot of self checkout lanes, and all the produce was very fresh. The layout is a bit confusing and takes getting used to, though. read more

This is by far the smallest Target I've even been in. While they have great options across the store, there is also a lack there of sincer the location is very small. Most items are overpriced -- especially the items in the beauty/personal care section of the store. It's like a corner store that normally doesn't have what you need. Don't get me wrong the staff is always super friendly and they try to be helpful. But I've been here for essentials several times and they just don't have them. The last straw was when I went in today looking for Dove body wash for men and they didn't have a single gel option. Only in soap bars. If you pair the fact that they often don't have many options along with the fact that it's one of the smallest Targets possible it's a recipe for disaster in one of the most heavily populated areas. read more

I live across the street from this Target and I'm very happy to have it there. That being said, the product selection is very small and you might be better off going up the street to the Walmart. I think they would be better served to eliminate the Freshii and Starbucks and expand the grocery and cleaning supply sections. read more

If I had been here once and gotten bad service I would dismiss it but this woman tonight proved its consistent. I ended up going to Walgreens and purchasing what I needed. Someone said it was a waste of space and I agree. Nice, heated underground parking and a store full of nothing. It's random necessities that you won't find, they are simply trying to have a "Super" Target in a space smaller than a regular Target store that doesn't sell grocery items. I've come here twice and been unable to find what I was looking for. Women's long johns, in the winter, in Chicago, negative. The prices are also higher. It's not terrible, it acts as a Walgreens or CVS, because you can't really find anything that you can find at a "real" Target. I'd only come here if I lived nearby and didn't feel like traveling, but if you're commuting just to go to this Target, try a different location so you actually find what you're looking for.... not bad for snacks, drinks (first thing you see when walking in is the wine), and toiletries. read more

Love Target but this one doesn't have the best options. Every time I look for my shade of make up or my size(small) in clothes they don't have it. For a busy neighborhood this is like a pop up stand Target very disappointing. They barely carry any clothing items so I still have to Trek all the way to Uptown to have a proper Target experience. OMG. stay clear. Just wanted to get a holiday gift card because 10% off today. All self check out except one. Stood in line with the one. She started to help me- saying there are no holiday cards just the regular target one. Then she disappeared. Had to get back in line with now a new person at the only check out. Had to start over with her. Seriously she looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for a holiday gift card. She just kept pointing to the cards that said thank you or happy birthday. Ugh. I agree with the person who said this is more like a 7/11- Target hybrid. Terrible floor plan, nonsensical aisles, and a lackluster selection of products. However, this review is mostly for the fact that there was a sticky glue like substance tracked all over the floor. An employee was standing near it but was not cautioning people to avoid the spill (??). When we pointed it out, he dismissively said it was being taken care of. When I walked by ten minutes later, an annoyed employee was barely cleaning it up with cheap, thin bathroom hand towels. Couldn't find the item I was specifically there to buy and although I saw 5 target employees, no one would catch my eye or offered assistance. Employees seemed disgruntled and inconvenienced. Only check out option is self check out which needs to be monitored by a human anyways and seemed to slow the whole process down. +1 star for the sweet young lady at the exit who gave a genuine goodbye, that was the high point. read more

I have never had a bad experience at Target until I visited THIS store on April 15th 2017 at 11:45am. Generally its smaller than most targets, maybe that it did not have the right kind of cooler I needed, but I decided to make due and try the one they had that I thought would work. It was a horrible fit, and I was back to return it less than 2 days later on April 17th 2017 in perfect condition with receipt. After several other customers and I waited to be helped, an older white guy attempted to "help" me, but seemed to have no clue what was going on, and had to ask someone for help. After again waiting a bit, a very rude artificially blonde lady came up, and she was CLEARLY not happy to be bothered with my return. She barley looked at the cooler and told me sorry its wet, and damaged, flat out lying to my face about any damage. Then the older guy was like "uh... there is as-fault on this, we dont take as-fault coolers." I showed them every angle of the cooler again, so that they could see there was not a mark on it, and they replied its wet. And this is a plastic cooler we are talking about... as if they cant get wet! Thankfully I decided to not waste anymore time there, and I went to a different target location where they happily and politely accepted my return. To management... you better get your act together and retrain your employees. And to any other potential consumer; if you like target, try another location. They are rude here, and they WILL waste your time if you let them. I doubt this place will be around much longer unless they make some changes. read more

Ran inside this store yesterday afternoon to buy an umbrella because it was pouring down and i waant prepaired for the rain . While inside shopping i noticed alot of people from the gay pride parade had the same idea as me. While checking out the food section. I overheard the manager goes by the name Lily, say to two different groups of people shopping that they needed to leave now because it was no longer raining. This is obviously very unprofessional so I simply asked for name, after I started to walk away she asked me if I would like the corporate number. I told her no I wouldn't needed that I was just going to look it up online and thank you. I then proceeded to walk away again, she then followed me and told me that I had to leave that she was going to call the cops if I didn't leave. I told her I was leaving and she told me that I would be trespassing if I didn't. Very unprofessional I hope she gets fired. I ended up not buying anything from the store and walked outside in the rain because I'd rather get wet from the rain then spend my money somewhere that people are talked down to. read more
