I went into the store looking for a pretzel and a drink, hungry from driving from Kern County. The person behind the counter was friendly, told me that he just started his day, and rang up my purchase. He gave me the drink cup and went back to get the pretzel ready. I got my drink but couldn't find any straws. Apparently, the previous employee didn't make sure things were ready. Supervisor, where were you? When I went to ask for a straw, I was told that there were no pretzels ready and it would be 45 minutes. I could drive a number of places in 45 minutes to get a pretzel, right? He sold me on a pepperoni pizza and that added a couple of dollars to my order but he couldn't figure out how to refund the money. Supervisor, where are you? Someone from the Starbucks counter arrived to jury rig things. They just sort of got the cash register to open, gave me the correct refund, and charged me for the pizza correctly. Oy! I told him that if he would give me a bunch of straws, I would put them over by the drinks, so other people wouldn't have to ask for them. I kind of figured he would never take care of it. You're welcome. The pizza had apparently been baked quite a while earlier and wasn't very good. I didn't even mention it. I just ate a bit and got a refill and left to wander the store. The rest of the store was better and other employees were just as friendly. read more

Honestly I am shocked by the negligence by the staff today. I was there from 6:45-7:30 pm and I noticed a guy and his child wearing no mask. This is a pandemic whatever you believe in I was appalled by security and staff not saying anything to him. I crossed paths with him multiple times and I noticed he ended up at self check out with my around the same time. While a target staff member looked at him and he never ever put a mask on. Believe what you believe but it's sad when we are trying to get out of this pandemic and you have two people not wearing masks. This is the first time I've seen this happen. I regularly come here and every follows the guidelines. I used to work for retail if you think I'm lying please look up the time stamp I said above near the grocery isle and self check out times, look at your dvr. I will bring this up to the county because we can't get out of this pandemic if you let two Caucasians shop without a mask while everyone else in the store is following CDC guidelines. read more

We arrived at Target when we got closer to our destination. Because we needed to stretch our legs and girls need stuff. You can find whatever you are looking for at Target. We were looking for all the things we left behind. Last minute packing we left behind shampoo, razors, hairspray and other miscellaneous items. In comparison to other Targets, it nears the top. Pluses: Parking is lot more conducive than the nearby Targets (Newbury Park & Oxnard). I don't think they serve popcorn at this location, so when you walk in it doesn't feel like you're there to watch a movie instead of go shopping like other locations. Similarities: Clean and somewhat navigational. Sometimes it's hard to track down someone for help. Even those "push for help" buttons take longer than when they first came out. Negatives: It's only one level. Which isn't too big of a deal so it's only a small negative. Some two-leveled Targets are ghetto (not going to mention which locations). read more

If you grew up in Camarillo, or if you live in Camarillo, you know this is one of the few places to go. When I was in high school, somehow my group of friends always found ourselves here, trying to figure out what else we could do. Sadly, I don't think we ever came up with anything. There isn't a lot to say other than this is a Target. It's pretty clean, if you live here, you probably know a few people who work here, and they are probably pretty nice. You'll most likely stroll though the aisles run into someone you know, have a bit of small talk, and keep shopping. That's Target in Camarillo, and that's home. =) read more

This was a great Target. We stopped in for diapers and I ended up getting a few more things because as we all know, that's just what happens at Target. The store was renovated and modern and seemed to have a great home decor selection (focus...diapers...focus...). Things were set up in an appealing way, much more so than some other Target stores I've visited. I was able to easily find what I came there for (diapers!) and some other things as well (oops!). read more

Just your regular, good ol' Target! The dollar spot is either incredible or meh, but usually pretty good. If I had kids I'd probably find more use for that stuff. The Target seems clean, well stocked, friendly employees, and good parking. There are other places to shop near by, and it's right next to the Outlets, so great location! I haven't had any issues with bad bathrooms or self check outs being closed. The parking lot is huge, so there shouldn't ever be an issue if you're willing to walk a little. I was at this location with my family this weekend, we come here often, and there was some event going on put on by the police department for children. Absolutely NONE of the cops were wearing masks - the store was packed with customers plus the event going on - it was a very busy store. I am appalled by the management of the store letting this happen . All of the employees and customers need to wear masks, why did dozens of cops think they didn't have to? I feel for the employees of the store, the management really failed the community today letting all of these cops get away with being there maskless in the store. Disgusting. Protect your employees and customers, you shouldn't be putting on events if you can't follow the corona rules. read more

I was paying for my stuff in the self check out. There was a white male. Hovering over me thinking I was going to steal some thing. I asked him if everything was OK. He said he had to watch me because I was Mexican and didn't want me to steal. I pay for everything I had in my cart. I feel offended I will never come back again. This is in review of their Order for pickup feature. I do it all the time because I work in Camarillo and just want to drive up then go home but they are super SLOW at this location. It does not take within two hours for your order to be ready and I've waited in my car for over 30 minutes one time. I would have just gone in if I knew how long I would have waited. It does not matter how early you say you're on your way on the app, they'll wait until you get there to bring out your bag which is annoying as well. I usually have way better luck at other locations with how fast they handle their orders. read more

The Camarillo Target is one of the cleaner stores in Ventura County and while busy, I don't find myself running into road blocks at every turn. Well stocked, great clearance end caps to peruse, and so a better assortment of sizes and styles in the apparel and accessories department. Most targets are the same so this bad rating is because their bathrooms are ALWAYS DIRTY and out of toilet paper and seat covers (well, I've only seen the girls bathrooms so I'm really rating those). Once I even told one of the employees that the bathroom was bad and she told me someone just cleaned it... Horrible. read more

Please also note that I am not normally a Starbucks patron, I just needed something cool and icy to drink and I didn't want a high fructose corn syrup icee. Plus, I had a gift card to use up. Dear Starbucks within Target, Shame on you for staffing your counter with just one stressed out high school girl on a very busy Sunday lunchtime. She had to take orders from a large queue of impatient and mentally unstable people, and prepare all their drinks at the same time. Some days I think my wife loves Target more than she loves me. You might think this is funny, but my wallet doesn't. She goes to Target at least twice a month and they are our largest shopping expense location on the credit card bill (Costco doesn't take visa). I just got last years summary statement, so I know. I should invest in them to try to get some of that money back. Whenever we visit, we always find something we "need". I tend to get headaches if we stay too long. I try to limit the damage. The store is clean and they have what seems to be an enormous amount of checkout stands. With a starbucks inside, they keep you awake so you can spend more. We've also used their photo print service, where we emailed them pictures and picked them up in a few hours. It worked out pretty well. For Camarillo, this is the place to shop if you "need" anything, however, during the holidays it is like a frickin circus. Last year we ordered most gifts through Amazon, our second major shopping expense location on the credit card. read more

It's Target and you have probably been there before so it isn't like you don't know what to expect. Here are the things I like about this Target: 1. All that Global Bazaar stuff and the special designer stuff can usually be found here because I guess the people in Camarillo don't like it. There is even stuff left once it goes on clearance. 2. Miguel at the customer service desk is always helpful and knows every single thing. 3. For some reason, at least some form of Crystal Light is always on clearance on an end cap. 4. You can usually find a decent parking space even when it is busy. 5. Today, when I went in there, a bunch of stuff I had just bought at Babies R Us was $1-$2 cheaper at Target. A couple cons, but I didn't deduct stars for these: 1. The bathroom is usually unpleasant. 2. The last couple times in there, it seems like the temperature is too high. It could be because I am nine months pregnant, but I don't feel that way in other stores, so I think it is them, not me. read more

1. Smell: Does not smell too good. I'm not sure how to explain it. 2. Fixtures: Not very clean. Has separate hot and cold faucet handles. Toilet is elongated and a good height. 5 sinks in a row with one a bit lower. 3. Design/Decor: Plain and common looking public restroom. 4. Hand Dryers: Manual (push handle) paper towels and air dryers. 5. Toiletries: Has toilet paper on the right side convenient distance to grab. 6. Privacy: Has five stalls with doors. The height of the stall is a good height. 7. Cleanness: It was not the cleanest that day and all the stalls were NOT flushed. The sink faucets were gross with crud and there was a lot of water on the floor (slipping hazard). The floors needed some mopping. 8. Space: it was roomie enough. 9. Changing Station: Available near the entrance and had paper towel ready to use if needed and the trash can was near by too. 10. Miscellaneous: It has plenty of seat covers. Overall: I would use that bathroom again and hope it wasn't as messy as this time. read more

I don't think the higher ups are concentrating on making customers happy with returns or exchanging merchandise. This company offers catching sale prices soon after purchase but puts 100% burden on the customer making it near impossible. You are expected to bring in your items and return them to the store and then GO OUT AND FIND THE SAME ITEMS so that they can process the price difference. This is the most asinine thing I have ever heard of. I asked " Can't you just return these and then I will purchase them again right here?" NOPE Staff is usually ok , so two stars read more

It's probably just me, but is this Target set up weird? I'll admit, I shopped at the Target in Ventura for the past 4 years on almost a weekly basis and may be used to knowing where everything is on every single aisle, but I got so turned around and didn't understand why the hardware was right next to the bath stuff. My problem is that I get way too much stuff and always leave without at least the one item that I intended to buy. For example today after work I went to buy ONE stinking toothbrush and I walked out w/ $75 worth of stuff I probably don't need. So, then I went back and walked out again w/ $70 worth of stuff I probably don't need. (Then I end up taking a lot of the stuff back and they look at me like I'm the biggest pain in the ass...it's a vicious cycle) That's why I guess I should just stick to Longs or Walgreens...small enough & more expensive to deter shopping sprees. Sign me up for Target Shopaholics Group Therapy....b/c I know I'm not the only one w/ this problem! The Starbucks inside accepts Starbucks gift cards & apparently asking for 2% milk instead of whole milk was a huge barista taboo. The guy snapped at me, "That's what we use in all of our drinks for a year now." OK...sorry...didn't get the freakin Starbucks memo. Regardless of that snafu, he made a pretty good drink. read more

This is the worse target I've been too! Took my 6 year old to the bathroom next to the pharmacy and slipped on urine on the floor, thank goodness I caught myself. Then we went to the bathroom in the front and not one stall has toilet seat covers in them. Not even a holder for them. Out of all the stalls one had toilet paper and every single one was dirty. I love these guys. The whole Pharmacy team behind the counter is friendly, they acknowlege your presence and they listen to their customers. I have a prescription that I had a savings voucher and every month it is $40. This month they said, "no it is $75," and I said, "no, there must be a mistake, it's $40, please check your records- I have a voucher good for 12 months." They gave me no attitude (even though I would give my own self attitude) and returned, with a smile, with "Yes, it is $40." This is by far the best pharmacy I have been to, no long lines, no small talk idle chit chat between customers, which I love because the line moves fast. I will always take my presciptions to Nick and their team and recommend anyone with a new prescription to try them. read more

Saw an earlier post and can confirm, as of today's date, this store does not care enough to enforce the mask requirement. There was a pack of teenagers making a scene and blocking entire aisles with no masks, although one apparently thought it was a nice wrist accessory. I approached Target staff about it and they looked and said if they happened to go down his aisles he would say something to them. Completely unacceptable. If you can take your business elsewhere, do so! read more

I understand it's the holiday season and stores are busy, but this is frustrating. I placed an order to pick up (to be brought to my car) at 4:30 today. Target app says it will be ready in 2 hours. By 8:15, no email yet so I called. They said they have 800 orders and mine probably won't be ready until tomorrow afternoon. I was ordering medicine and soup for dinner for my daughter who is sick at home. I told them it was very disappointing and they need to notify customers or change their app to not say "ready in 2 hours." read more

We we there Saturday 11/7/2020. Mom and I were helped in the grocery department by Kyle N. What a nice young man. This is the second time Kyle has assisted us. Mom needed Verde Enchilada Sauce and there were none on the shelf. Kyle went in the back and brought cans out to Mom. He then helped her find a pack of salami. Then Mom was picking out a frozen Turkey and turned to Kyle and asked how long would you cook a 12 lb turkey. Poor Kyle just stood there with no answer other then I don't know My mom does all the cooking. I jumped in and told Mom to google it and leave poor Kyle alone. We all got a good laugh. The bottom line is Kyle is an excellent employee and makes our shopping experience lots of fun. JP and Sally. read more
