There are a few things I like about target that everybody should know about. They're lines always go fast and the staff are typically pretty friendly and efficient unlike some other supermarkets. I'm a sucker for nostalgia.... I freaking loved the old ghetto target in oxnard, because I knew where every thing was! The new oxnard target is a little tricky for me, cause the layout isn't the same! So I go to Camarillo target. It has that retro layout, but it doesn't have that popcorn smell! I guess it's easy to leave bad reviews 4 people have unrealistic expectations. I had an unrealistic expectation today and returned a frying pan that I hated. I was willing to eat it or give it away I throw in the trash can and they stepped up and said we'll take it back no problem. Their store manager their customer service their returns department even though people who help you in the aisles I think this is a great store. Best Target I've ever shopped in. One of the better Starbucks in Ventura County as well, believe it or not (second only to the one on the corner of Rose and Channel Islands IMO). Always clean, staff is generally friendly and I can always find what I'm looking for. Take advantage 805 peeps...not all Targets are this great (see my other reviews). read more

Im really upset with the customer service at this store. I put 4 packs of champagne on hold with my name at guest services. I came to pick them up some day and they were gone. Not on the shelves anymore. So they sold the bottles I had on hold and now they are not available in surrounding areas. Terrible customer service. read more

I visit about 3 times a month. Today I was looking for Neutragena face cream. It was locked in a cabinet. Had to send a representative to find who had the key. The guy with the key comes back after a 6 to 7 minute wait and takes it out. He says he will take it to the checker and I can get it there. I am just a 63 year old retiree and I have never been viewed as untrustworthy. When I was done shopping I went to checkout and ofcourse the checker had no knowledge of any face cream. I went next door to Walmart neighborhood market. The cream was on the shelf ( a dollar cheaper I may add) and purchased it. To TARGET CEO types: You made it impossible to buy a $17 item in your store today. Aren't sales the name of the game. To Walmart: thank you for the convenience and trust. read more

I spent half an hour typing in all of my prescription transfers and was told they'd be ready in 5 business hours. When I arrived to pick them up the counter worker at pharmacy says, maybe in three days. No exception? Can't you just fill this ONE, that I needed yesterday? NOPE. Ok, fired! read more

Some of these reviews are ridiculous...This is a Target, what are you expecting? It is decently clean. It has all the same merchandise that every target has. All the employees have been nice to me. Keep in mind they are minimum to low wage retail workers who have to deal with the publics cream of the crop every day. Plus they have free Wi-Fi and I don't feel like I'm going to get stabbed. Oh Target, how you have done your faithful shoppers wrong. The remodel is all wrong, the prices have gone up tremendously, moving far from their discount store roots. Now it's just a glam job with no bargains in site. And no popcorn for you, the snack bar is gone. Target used to be a fun place to go to with a bag of popcorn and a few laps to make. I could go and never walk out empty handed, now I feel that's all I do. To add insult, the place is a huge disorganized mess despite the fact it was just remodeled and somehow the bathrooms still remain one of the dirtiest public restrooms I've been too. Target is Target. I like this store for the food selection. I know it doesn't make sense, but I can usually get a large variety of frozen goodies for much less than the grocery store, and an even better selection than the Target closer to my house. Also, if you are in the mood for making Mexican food, there is a better selection of that type of canned goods as well. read more

One thing I noticed: the store layout is very consistent with most Targets I've been to... Even the parking lot is formatted similarly. Clean, easy to find, bathrooms on your immediate right... And $1 section unobscured and easy to browse through right as you walk in. read more

Had the best experience at this target all the staff is very helpful. I feel like I have to single out Kaley, cheerful front end cashier. She took her time explaining to me all about the Cartwheel app and about the red card which I ended up signing up for with her and then loaded up my cart and got somebody to help me out of the store with my larger items. Tried to buy a trike for my son and it was the last one. Saw on the target website and it was going for $32.49. But it's missing the lid for the bucket on the back. When we were checking out, the price came to $49.99?! So we showed the cashier the missing lid and the price online the target websites well the manager said "it's either the 25% for the missing lid but pay full price or the price match" but they won't do both. Target store and Target online is the same thing! How can you not match correctly what is online???!! And it's missing a lid. Other Targets would've honored their price online and given you discount for the broken piece. Not this place, or that manager with the orange hair. read more

okay, compared to the other Targets past the grade and that is in the Ventura County, this is definitely the BEST one. It is clean, organized and they keep their bathrooms nice and neat. & most of the employees are pretty helpful, but they should hire people that have social skills. My favorite store to go to for Black Friday sales. This is actually one of my favorite stores to go to besides Best Buy or Fry's. I always love the specials they run for computer games/console games. I always find the staff fairly helpful/friendly. read more

would it be crazy to want to move to this neighborhood solely based on the selection of items in stock at this location?? we dropped in as a bathroom break and ended up leaving with quite a few items (thanks to a gift card we got a few months ago.) todder clothes... Cute cute styles that are either not stocked at the daly city/colma locations, or are just out of stock by the time I check. prices.... 20 to 30 percent lower on some items vs. The prices at home.... I hate noticing that. layout is a little odd... Enter on one end and pharmacy is in the middle of the store. but heck, i'd totally still go back if I ever found myself here again. bathrooms were clean and the store was quite clean. oh, suburbia.... This is one of my favorite Targets to go to. Its pretty much everything that makes Target great. The selection is organized and clean (minus clearance). The employees are nice enough and it seems fairly well managed. I would advocate staying away from the Target food court. That food always struck me as a little shady. read more

This is for their food area! One star loss because for the first time, they burned mac n cheese and they were out of a lot of food items. They never restock napkins hardly ever so people get it fromstarbucks which seems to always be full. They were out of carrots and apples and they replaced it with fries that took a looong time ti get! They were busy but they sure need to calm down and do their job correctly the first time so they don't get busier with complaints. They were out if popcorn too I heard and thought how can you run out of popcorn. I ws surprised to get a silly straw because they were out for the longest time! This Target had quite a few good items on sale here that were half off or more. I was impressed by the vastness of the location and the overall cleanliness. The new Star Wars items are also very fun. The aisle when they first arrived was untidy but that's just because of the heavy traffic. read more

Ive been coming to this Target for years and have never had a problem in any areas of this store. Always clean, very nice cashiers and always seems to be stocked with everything I need. Other similar stores, (i.e. the WalMarts, etc.) frequently have empty shelves, while this Target always seem to keep them filled. And for all you die hard Starbucks lovers out there, like me, you can find Starbucks in the store. Woo hoo! A plus in my books! read more

Shoes, undergarments, toys especially messy in all stores, not just Target - I have no idea why people cannot put things back on the shelf or hook where they got them. You look at it, don't like it, put it back. Very simple. Target seems to have stopped having some employees in early to restock shelves and tidy up - saving $$ perhaps? I don't know. But there always seems to be boxes and shopping carts in the way and NO ONE seems to care if you can get through or not. People at check out have been nice. The Target in Westlake Village is horrible - it is a daycare for teens after school and they are running around everywhere - and I do mean running . . . throwing toys to each other, actually pushing each other IN carts - no one seems to be managing the place. I stay away from that one. But, no choices any longer - used to have variety, but now it's Target, CVS, Walmart. read more

This review is mostly for the pharmacy- I get nothing but the best service from the techs there. They are NONSTOP busy, harassed by weird people, insurance issues, miscommunications from doctors offices and phone calls- but they manage to treat you with respect, courtesy, and dignity. I very much appreciate stones it takes to suffer abuse at the hand of the public and the pharmacy techs are somehow still not horribly grumpy jerks. THANK You!!! read more
