This is one of the worst stores I have ever been to in my life. At rush hour, they had employees roaming the sales floor in groups of three to five, and none of the groups I came across was willing to assist me with finding what I needed. They were all just walking around and socializing. Meanwhile, as huge and chaotic lines formed at the checkout, the store had only about one third of the registers open. Instead of putting some of those roaming employees to work organizing lines and directing customers, it was just a melee with no employees to direct people to the lines at all. On top of this, cashiers kept deciding to go on break with no warning. I stood on three separate lines and three separate cashiers shut down their lines when they got annoyed with the number of people. They didn't reopen any new lines and they didn't show customers where to go, so I stood for twenty minutes on one line. Cashier decides to close and walks away. Then I stood for fifteen minutes on the next. Cashier decides to close and walks away. Then I stood for another ten minutes, and the third time the cashier just left I had had it and just walked away from my cart to find the manager. I asked her why she didn't have people directing the customers into lines and making sure the existing lines stayed open. She said, "There's nothing I can do," which was ridiculous, because she's the MANAGER. It is literally her job to get the staff to do their jobs. She wasn't doing this at all. I left without buying anything, because I wasn't going to give this store my money at this point. I tried calling the store to explain that they needed to have employees managing their checkout lines instead of just walking around talking to each other and ignoring customers. Every time I called in, the call dropped. They didn't even have an operator staffing their lines. Then I tried to call the main target complaints line and got an employee who couldn't identify how many times Target even trains their people. She finally said, "Twice per year," which with the turnover rate at these kinds of stores kind of explains why nobody knows how to do their jobs, and suggests that the Target experience isn't likely to improve any time soon. Never go here. This place is complete garbage. read more

Parking, convenient and now more cashiers so less time spending it waiting in line to check out. Also has a Seating area serving popcorn, pizza hut and Starbucks. It's in the vicinity of the bank, subway, bus stops, taxi stand and other stores such as Models etc. Friendly staff as well, always willing to assist you if needed. read more

Excellent department store. Very helpful staff. Sundays are always busy especially afternoons, but they have plenty of cash registers so just be patient. There aren't that many Targets in the city so I appreciate that there is this one. read more

Since it open in early 2008, this store has been a great addition to the area. I can't even count the number of times I've been at another pharmacy or store and found myself thinking, " I can get this cheaper at Target." I would say I'm here 3-4 times a month and have had mostly good experiences. I haven't had problems with rude staff, on the contrary I've been asked more than a few times while shopping if I needed help finding anything. On more than a few occasions the scanned price was higher than price posted in aisle and the checkout person took my word on it, instead of sending out someone to do a price check. One warning, which probably more reflective of Target than it's staff, watch out for certain "sales". Once while shopping I noticed Simply Lemonade on sale at 2 for $6. But individual bottles were priced at $2.49. I'm not great at math but that didn't add up. Also while their prices are good on lots of items, DVDs, CD's and most electronics are probably better purchased at Amazon or Best Buy. While they will run out of items, I've never seen the barren shelves like you see at Atlantic Center Target. I wonder if those complaining about things running out are coming in a hour or two before closing? That's a bad time for any store, isn't it? I usually shop here weekday mornings or afternoon which is fine. After school and work gets out it does get more crowded and lines get longer. I also appreciate their large clean bathrooms. I like to start these reviews with saying I look A LOT younger than what I am. I went to the Electronics department in this particular target and they have ZERO customer service skills. I was looking for a sales associate for assistance when I found one she and the security guard were engaged in a conversation in which they made me feel I was interrupting. Then another customer approaches and she has a full conversation with her, when she gets to me she says to me "Lets go" which was honestly the last straw ........ needless to say i spoke with a manager who also seem to lack customer service skills so hopefully this helps get it together over there ! read more

This is the nearest Target location by me. Not as crowded as the Target in Atlantic Ave mall terminal. If you have plans on moving to a new apartment, Target has an array of quality furnishings! I was shocked to find great partnership collections. Like any other Target the lines can get long. read more

I like this one way better then atlantic terminal . I guess since they are still new, they have more products and the shelves are stocked. Still have rude employees though. I wonder if it's the pay or it's because most of them are still in High School. read more

I am only reviewing this Target as of now because when it first appeared, I could have written a review and gotten a "1st to review" (!!!!) but I decided to leave it be. It was nice being one of the few who actually knew this Target existed and was open for business, and I wanted to keep it that way. While it's not as good as your average Target, it is an amazing improvement over the one at Atlantic Ave. It's a bitch to get to via public transport, but it isn't as...dirty as the first BK location. It has a larger food section, but it's too far away from my apartment to buy anything refridgerated or frozen. It's nice though to pop over in between classes to get some shampoo and body wash for about $2 less each than they cost at any Duane Reade. I can't comment on the parking situation because I pay $81 for my monthly metrocard and that's how I get everywhere. If you spend too much time walking around in Target buying cheap stuff you don't need and you get hungry, skip the Pizza Hut and walk down Ave H towards Brooklyn College and grab a bite at the chicken place. Be very mindful when using the escalator here. My 3 year old daughter fell at the top of the escalator, her shoestring was caught. My daughter was almost trampled on as we tried to free her. All of this happened in front of Target's security team who looked on and made no attempts to hit the emergency turn off switch or ask if we were ok. read more

OMFG can someone tell me why they never have more than 5 registers open at a time??There are at least 20 registers and I see about 15 "employees" walking around looking dazed or huddled up talking about what they did the night before so how bout management do something like I don't know put them to work?!? I mean I know its a crazy recommendation but I thought I might but it out there. Anyway besides that I love Target, I still have sheets that I bought from when I was in college and they're not threadbare. You can always find something in the clearance section, whether clothes or cosmetics or tech stuff. Now add some coupons to their relatively low prices and you're living my life. No joke I find myself in here at least 3 times a wk, sometimes with no goal in mind, just to see what they have and I very rarely walk out empty handed and so far I've never regretted a purchase. read more

I'm used to shopping at the Target at the Atlantic Terminal, but this Target is Way better. Much Cleaner! Way less messy from all the shoppers who DON'T put stuff back on hangers! ugh. This Target is near my new office, and you know, it's pretty swell. Especially compared to Kohl's- which I peeped for the first time ever in New Jersey tonight. Kohl's stuff is cheaper looking and more expensive in terms of clothes, and their kitchen stuff/cookware is mostly pretty expensive, even though it's probably good quality. Merona is carried in large quantities. Some sizes are picked over, I guess since this is a populous area of Brooklyn. No complaints so far, staff is courteous and conscientious. read more

While not as good as your typical Target in the 'burbs so far this one beats the one off the belt except you can't shimmy over to Babies R Us if something is out of stock. The store is bigger, they seem to be stocking more (except for that Sony portable DVD player we needed), the sale section is just asking to clutter up my house, and things look neater and cleaner than I'm use to at a Brooklyn Target. Let's hope it lasts. I guess Kings Plaza got us Brooklyners use to paying to park at places so we can have the privilege of shopping there so I won't harp on that, but how about some working machines to pay at? What is up with the exit? I push my cart through the checkout only to come to a window overlooking the urban life of Flatbush Avenue. Where is the genius architect that has me u-turning back through the store to wait on line while security is braiding each other's hair instead of matching my cart to my receipt. I'd like to thank him. In this zip code it is unacceptable that there are no kosher food options. Many Icees flavors are kosher (they licensed their recipes to 7-11 Slurpees long ago) and according to OU they'd just have to show us the symbol on the syrup package but here that is no dice. Already this place has become an after school hangout. Perhaps a little caged section could be arranged for these children to give the shoppers some breathing room? They could put it behind checkout near the Flatbush Avenue Promenade. I'll be there tomorrow searching for a Bjorn little potty in green or yellow, some 3/4 tops, a glass for holding olive oil, nursing bras, and toys. This is Brooklyn's best kept secret! It holds up the brand that you're supposed to expect from Target and puts the Atlantic Station store to much due shame. It's always stocked, the lines are not too ridiculous and it's very QUIET. I love it, I can think peacefully when I shop and leave happy. read more

Just experienced the absolute worst customer service from an associate at Guest services. I tried explaining a overcharge for an transaction...and I was cut off repeatedly. She was extremely nasty to me and threw the return receipt in my face at the end of the transaction. read more

I don't like what Target stands for, but I do like one thing about big businesses. They may have chased smaller stores away, But those smaller stores would not let me use the bathroom. This is my second favorite Target in Brooklyn right after the one in Gateway Mall (Gateway is much quieter in the day time). Target at Flatbush junction has amazing sales on fruit, vegan "meat", and juices. Recently I picked up a big bottle of Simply for just $2.99 which was a pretty good deal since its usually over $4. I also love the chips section because they have a wide variety of Archer Farms and Simply Balanced (Target brands) chips as well as dip. I am also obsessed with the black bean salsa. My only gripe is that they have a really small selection of peas and beans. Nonetheless, I have purchased everything here from birthday cards to tank tops to my ipad a while back. The starbucks is also on point. I love Target LOL....except the one at Atlantic Avenue terminal of course. read more

WHO HIRES THESE PEOPLE???? OH MY GOODNESS ! I tried to get something in the electronics area but I needed assistance with getting an item that was secured with a lock. Why have this thug dude that was sagging his pants to the floor working there. Nobody was on that register nor was there any sales associates around. they were all hiding in the back. Dude, I didn't even want to talk to you but you had the keys to get the headphones I wanted so I had to, no one else was going to do it. I'm mad because this guy did not want to work and was giving me an attitude and felt annoyed when I asked him for help. But who the heck is hiring these sales associates?!!..I just wanted to find everything I needed,get my stuff and leave without asking for any assistance! They're useless and disrespectful. read more

Went there today to return my girlfriend's poorly assembled bicycle. We wanted to exchange it for another bike but to little surprise there were only 3 bikes left and they were damaged so we ended up getting a refund. The refund/exchange line moved fairly quickly considering the number of people on line. One thing that did annoy me was that there was some little kid body surfing on a skateboard throughout the store. I wanted to say something to his parents or whoever he was there with, but I was leaving anyway and they have to deal with that kid while I will never have to see him again! read more

I've been to this target so many times and I've only had a few issues. They usually have everything I need. Service depends on the employees. Part of the problem is most of their floor staff is pretty young. You will have some that this is their first job so they just want to get paid & don't care. While you have some that take their job seriously and are helpful etc. So it can be hit or miss but generally I haven't had many issues with service. Sometimes the sale items are gone but I mean, it's a sale. You're fellow customers aren't going to leave anything for their fellow man when it's on sale for a great price! Typical target, I come with a list of eight things & wind up taking a cab home with 9 bags! Overall though it's s big retail store with big selection. some good employees, some not so great. I once went to the customer service desk to get a rain check on a tv and the girl told me that there was no rain check for the item because it was the regular price. The item was actually on sale so it wasn't regular price. I sent a text to my boyfriend who was upstairs with the news. My boyfriend stops by, without me, speaks with the same girl at customer service & surprise, there is a rain check available. ...if he will give her his phone number! He gave her my number but literally while trying to talk him up, the girl told him her strategy. She likes to tell people there aren't any rain checks and on and on she went with her stories of how she avoids working while on the clock lol. So again, like any place else, good people & bad people. The girl in the electronics section that helped us & told us to get a raincheck downstairs, great. This place is so convenient, I come here all the time for odds and ends. I agree with the people who say that the employees are rude, they're totally distracted. It seems like all the employees there are friends (which is cool but. . .), so annoying when the cashier doesn't say "hello" back to me but breaks their neck to say goodbye to a friend whose shift is over. read more

If you think you're going to get good customer service at a large chain store in New York, you're either an idiot or entitled. Or both. Of course the employees are rude! You probably would be too if you had to work there. The point is, relative to other Targets and Kmarts and such in the area, this is probably your best bet. It's relatively clean and well stocked, and when I started going to this Target I was finally able to get all the things on my list that I hadn't been able to get at the Atlantic Ave. Target. I love target. Best of the department stores. It is cheap, the cashiers are friendlier, and I love the smell from the food bar as you enter. It does have long lines like any department store but its own store brand products are sooo much better than other department stores. Their clothes actually don't fall apart after 2 days. I think they just hold themselves to a higher standard than Kmart and those other stores. With that being said, this is still a large, chain department store so you can only expect so much. read more

This Target has been my go-to store ever since I started school near the neighborhood five years ago. The items in this store are organized and the staff here are really pleasant people who don't hate their jobs. The aisles are clean, properly sorted out, and simple to browse. Target offers everything from last minute gifts, cards, furniture, baby supplies, books, DVD's, CD's, electronics, clothes, make-up, frozen food, snacks, pet food, etc. (I could seriously go on forever)~ There is also a Starbucks here and it's my second alternative when the Starbucks on Glenwood is super full and overwhelming to order at; also Target also has their own "fast food chain"...I think there's pizza from Pizza Hut as well as popcorn, pretzels, and sandwiches as well. So yeah, Target is essentially vital to my survival; it has everything I need, I don't have any complaints so far, but I'll keep YELP posted. :)) PS: I forgot to mention how there's a parking garage connected to Target as well, but they charge you by the hour. read more

What can I really say about this place? They have almost everything you need. This target has a parking garage with access directly to the store. It's always crowded in here. It doesn't matter how many cashiers are open the lines are still crowded. Today was the 1st time that I really received good advice about the products. My cashier, I believe her name starts with a T, was amazing. She was very friendly, gave advice about products and always had a smile on her face. She wears green glasses. All of the cashiers should look at her etiquette with customers. She did her job well. Other cashiers usually look pissed that they arw working. Kudos to her. This Target is clean, organized and they have an awesome grocery section... Great return policy as well and we found everything for our new apartment here, with the exception of bed raisers. I cannot find these anywhere! Bath and body section is awesome as well, they have so much! My boyfriend loves the dvd section. I wish we didn't have to pay for parking, but it was well worth it! read more
