My girlfriend and I were in there for a brief moment to pick up a few extra need things and too little of my surprise we were in and out in somehow 10 minutes. Haha keep in mind. I had my girlfriend along and it was Target! One of the employees Jack helped us out as far as giving us what we needed as fast as we possibly could. Exactly where it was even gave us a little bit of condolences cause we were looking for burn ointment for my knee. That Jack is a good man. Then later on Paris helped us out at the register. He shot us through really quickly. I think it took us more time to get the card ran through than it did for him to ring everything up. read more

I asked an employee for something simple that wasn't on the shelf, but was in stock (knowing it tells them where it's logged in the back room) and the employee just looked at the shelf and said "huh, the inventory must be wrong." There was 7 of this item in stock read more

I was standing in line on a lane to purchase my goods so I could use and break down my $100 from a cashier until I was directed by one of the leaders to instead purchase my stuff at the Ulta section. I asked if both of them if I could get $20 change there to which the workers said yes. While purchasing my things, I was suddenly informed I would be getting mostly $10 for a $100 bill change so I asked if instead I can get change somewhere else to get $20's. So, I was informed that I can go back to the lane to receive the change. In turn, I just paid with my card but I still needed to breakdown the $100, which was my original intent since the beginning. I informed the leader who directed me to the ulta that I didn't get to do so to which she directed me to go to the return area. After waiting for over 10-15 minutes in line, I talk to a male worker saying, "I was directed by two or three other individuals to come here to break down my $100. Can I do that here?" To which the worker responded, "we're not a bank. We don't do that here." I said in response, "but I was told by other workers to be here." To which he responded with, "yeah we're not a bank. It does not matter. If you want to break down money, there is a bank in walkable distance over there." I was not even given the chance to explain the situation whatsoever. I went back to the worker who directed me to the return area and explained the situation. To which she informed me that I was not treated right and she will personally give me the change over there. Already frustrated by the words of the male worker and already being late for a prior commitment, I informed her that it is okay already, I will just go. To sum it up, I wasted my time and got horrible service. read more

Everyone is so kind, the place is nicely organized and clean, definitely recommend! Most things in stock too!

Value and variety, classic-- QUICK service, especially necessity, as well as best selection you could request in that scenario/situation anywhere! Casual Ambiance! read more

I've not always been a Target fan... but after living in the land of Target I've changed my perspective. I used to think Target was expensive... it's not. They do have quality products and friendly service... yes and yes! The new remodel was hard at first but so is all change. I like having a Starbucks and a CVS in store. And like the variety Now why 5 stars. This particular Target seems to have issues keeping popular items in stock... but if I drive 10 mins to the other Target in town... they always have everything in stock. Cmon! Very frustrating! Overall though I've been pretty happy read more

I have recently moved and this is now my local Target. My wife and I certainly prefer Target over it's competitors and this location is a good one. This location is one of the new layout Targets, so you have Starbucks, The Deli Counter, Grocery Section, Beauty Section and the other newer departments. I have rated this as four stars as I have already been here multiple times and have not had any issues at all, other than one small detail. The one small detail that I am not too keen on, is that the self check out POS doesn't get sanitized between customers and the do at the Burnsville location. I am sure that it is a preference between each Target location, it is just a small shame that they didn't implement that process at the Apple Valley South location. read more

Target - It's going to be a good weekend. Thanks Target! - Department Stores Near Me - Apple Valley, Minnesota

This Super Target has changed (for the better) with the changes in design driven by corporate. It's clean, updated, and well-stocked. I typically use it to bop in and pick up a grocery or home item when I'm getting cash or getting nails done. It's convenient but busy. read more

Your typical, large-sized, clean Target with friendly staff and good prices. Not much to say here. I was quite satisfied.

I've always been a big Target fan. We are a military family and appreciate the once a year discount- however this year has been a nightmare to sign up for -- I hope they change it next year. read more

Okay, I love Target. Or at least I used too. This location is always busy- Always. They are also almost always out of stock of what I need. In the last few years I go, they are out, I get something different. I don't go here for produce anymore. Their prices are going up. Usually I want to go to Target and buy my stuff and go home. The plans then changed to Okay, I love Target- it's clean, easy and in and out. But they are out of stock- so now lets go to Cub or Hyvee. Cub seems to be the most reliable. Now it is - I might as go to Cub or Hyvee. Though Target is right across the street for me.... I don't want to make too trips. There are self check outs -though they now have a million assistants offering to help- I go to self check outs to not talk to people. Judge me, I don't care but I also don't want to exchange pleasantries with you either. Please Target- stock your shelves. You might need a better supply chain manager. read more

Rude customer service, waited 30 mins for a drive up order and only received 5 out of the 10 item's order because they were out of stock. Apple Valley South is horrible. read more

Target engages in deceptive marketing practices that will deprive older and less affluent customers of promised gift card rebates. Tonight while shopping at my local Apple Valley South Target, I saw dozens of signs advertising that if you bought $50 in household items, you'd receive a 15 dollar gift card at checkout. I selected over 60 dollars in products and checked out. I loaded my car and realized I hadn't received the gift card. I returned to the clerk and asked for my gift card. She informed me that I only got that if I showed the offer on my Target app. If I wanted the gift card, I'd have to go back out in the rain and dark and bring everything back in to void the sale and check out again. I couldn't believe what a scam this was. Many people don't have smart phones or aren't technically proficient. This is deceptive marketing! When I complained at guest relations, I was told I couldn't talk to a real manager, just a teen who said he was "sort of a manager". Eventually they gave me 15 off but "Shame on you Target!" read more

This is one of the best Targets I've been to. I just recently moved to MN and haven't seen one this big or with this particular design/layout. The grocery section is pretty much a full size grocery store. I didn't buy too much, but they had everything on my list. The rest of the store felt more like a nice department store. The selection was more than most other Targets I've been to. The home decor was huge and had a lot to choose from, that I haven't seen at another store. It has a Pizza Hut and a Starbucks. There were quite a few lanes open. This is my new fave Target! read more

This Target and I have a love hate relationship. I love how close it is, I hate how they are always low on stock. When it first opened, it was very well stocked, produce was awesome..always clean and amazing. The last couple years, their produce hasn't been as nice as it once was. They are always stocking and leaving big carts in everyone's way. I don't mind if they are stocking, but when they have 4-5 carts of products blocking an entire isle....that is just frustrating. Most employees are super friendly and helpful, their are a couple who could use some customer service training. One cashier in particular needs to mind her business and do her job. She is always on top of me about my baby. "He is too cold!" "He looks too warm!" "You shouldn't use those bottles!" Lady...this is my second baby, the first is 9 and still alive..back off! Most times I come there are at least 2-3 things on my grocery list that they are out of. It's always something random...like corn syrup? Sometimes if it is a weekend, I just give up completely and go else where. I really believe they did not anticipate the growth that would happen when they built this location. We could easily use a target twice this size. Overall, I'm still going to shop here. Excited for Hyvee to open next door and give me a little more options. read more

Best target in this area. It seems like no matter where you go though, there are never enough registers. I don't understand the concept of 24 checkout lanes, with only 6 open at any given time except maybe Black Friday? Clean store. Seems like they need someone new in charge of inventory, often out of a lot of things I purchase. Discontinue carrying regular purchase items..weird Very busy on weekends. Like unbearable. read more

My favorite Target store... A nice size and easy to access off of Pilot Knob. So much easier to get to and far less busy than the location in downtown Apple Valley. And as with many Target locations, there is a Starbucks conveniently located inside. read more

I went to target with a reasonably sized group to participate in some volunteer work and we were told to stand off to the side while we waited to check out. A worker made a snotty comment by saying "maybe find a better spot to stand" I'm flustered because I thought your employees were suppose to respectful to guests. I'm unhappy because we are trying to do a nice thing for our town. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. The store is doing a very good job with COVID-19 precautions.

I visit many Target stores, and this one is by far the worse than any of the others I have been to. The shelves seem to be always empty, no matter if it is 9:00 am or 9:00 pm. The other big complaint I have is the parking lot. The parking lanes are extremely narrow as well as the parking stalls. I drive a full sized vehicle, and it quite literally is line to line in a stall. There is a far better Target only a couple of mile away in Eagan. read more

Ok. I am in complete agreement with every reviewer stating that this store is constantly low on supply. I'm sure it's because every soul from those in the East side of Apple Valley all the way to the podunk towns south of Farmington and yonder from Rosemount are all congregating at this store. The main Apple valley store doesn't have that problem because Burnsville has their own store, and the other side of Lakeville does as well...which explains the low supply a little better. My 10 year old and 2 year old are fighting over a frickin donut scented squishy pillow that I was lucky enough to find here. However, said pillow was the only one in store. After searching on amazon and ending up with a crappy mini-pillow the size of my hand, I'm attempting to have the store locate one, but guess what... I've now called 8 times, and nobody will pick up the phone. I'm willing to drive to get one anywhere in the south metro right now just for a little sanity, but apparently, nobody is at work at 7 p.m. on a Tuesday night. I already dislike hitting this location because they don't have all the cool stuff the other Apple Valley and B'ville store get, but now they seriously suck. read more

I love target and especially the one in Apple Valley! The staff is amazing and I can find just about anything there:) what I love most about this place is that the grocery section is way less expensive than cup foods and rainbow. I definitely recommend this place for families that coupon since you can actually save money using your cartwheel, coupons and target coupons combined! Got to love it!!! read more

Pretty good. Sometimes they don't have enough cashiers but seems like they are working on it. Clean and well stocked.

New Super Target, very clean and friendly staff. Nice grocery department.

More often than not this location's grocery section is commonly sold out of a lot of merchandise. Its very frustrating when you need to shop and they don't stock themselves enough product to keep at least some product on the shelf for demand instead of enough product to commonly run out and people have to wait till the next shipment or shop elsewhere for their products. I heard that this location is their 2nd highest grossing location but it seems weird that they wouldn't stock properly for that. read more

This is a great target! The produce is always fresh and the variety of this store is really good. This has quickly became my favorite Target! read more

This Target is always busy. There are never enough cashiers. Lines 3 and 4 deep before they will open up a lane. They try to send people with almost full carts to the self check out lane by saying there is no limit. Also forget about trying to grocery shop on a Sunday because they run out of staple items. As annoyed as I get when I go there it was convenient. Today was the final straw. I tried to buy two items and they rang up different than the sticker on the shelf. A lady names Teresa came over and scanned them and told me the price in the scanner. She never went back to the shelf to check the sticker or anything. She just said the price is what her scanner said. Let me also add last year I ordered an item online for store pick up. It was a large item and the man at guest services pull a bag out of the trash to put my item in and then handed me my purchase. Real classy! Needless to say I did not buy the items and will be grocery shopping at HYVEE from now on. I'm so over this store. read more

I'd rather go to WalMart. They used to be fairly priced, but they're turning into Byerly's

This is my favorite Target store in the Twin Cities area! It is always clean, organized and generally well-stocked. What I especially love about this store is the availability and friendliness of their employees. I am almost asked at least once per trip if there's anything they can help me find. If I ask an employee for help and they can't help me, they stop what they're doing and find someone who can. Their cashiers are engaging. The only thing I wish they would improve upon is their management of the checkout lanes. There never seems to be enough checkout lanes open and the wait times can be long. That said, it has improved some with the addition of 4 self-checkout registers. Overall, I love this store. read more

This store has an issue of being out of many items in the grocery section. I always have to stop somewhere else to complete my shopping because this store is out of so many items. This store is also short staffed on cashiers and not very clean compared to other twin cities Target stores. read more

I just drove 20 minutes from one target store to another because I was told the other store had more of the same clearance item in stock. Got here only to be told that they are not on clearance at this store and they do not price match. WTH Target. That's really crappy customer service. read more

What can I say, I am a Target fan all the way, and the best part is that they are a Minnesota company. I shop at Target for everything, I shop for my groceries there every Friday morning, and stop about 3 other days of the week for other stuff. This store is always very clean, and the staff is usually really friendly, and they are usually really good about calling additional cashiers to the front when it gets busy. However, when you visit a store that often it it impossible to have 4 and 5 star service every time. My main gripe with this location is that I can never seem to finish shopping for my groceries without them being out of at least one item, it's usually the 1 gallon market pantry brand purified water, I buy this for my espresso machine. I would normally rate this store a 4 star Target but I have to adjust my review as I was there yesterday for printer ink. I needed to print something out and my printer told me that I needed ink, so on my way home from work I stopped by Target, (my second trip there of the day, (now that I think about it, I think that when I got there I forgot to check in...)) When I went back to the printer section of the store, they were out of my ink, the Kodak 30 combo package. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but this is the 3rd time in the last 4 months that I went to Target for this ink and they have been out, seriously Target, what do you have against the Kodak 30 combo printer ink? I really do need to do a better job buying this stuff before it runs out, kind of like toilet paper, I would never run out of that completely before buying more. The next closes store is 4 miles away, so I came home and ordered it from Amazon, I can always count on them, and as a prime member, free 2 day shipping, the ink was also $4 cheaper their. For the most part, this Target is a great store to shop and I would recommend it to anybody. read more

I love Target, and Target loves my check card. They always know what I need but to much of what I don't need. LOVE there organic and natural sections in their grocery area. But they could stop moving things around, as soon as I figure out where things are they move them. read more

This is a followup to my previous review, and there have been some small improvements. Less waiting in checkout queues, and restocking of products has improved. I am hoping that it gets back to where it once was. Competition will soon be opening up across the street, which may benefit the consumers more than reviews can! read more

Always packed, screaming children and frazzled parents everywhere, and it never seems very stocked. I've been there at various times during the day and it's always the same. I honestly check online for an item at this location to see if it's stocked before I think about going there. It usually seems the groceries aren't stocked either. Normally, I can get half my list there and I'm still running to the grocery store if I need something specific. Thanks to the staff who DO try to help if they can when you need something though. read more

I have never experienced such ineptitude in service in my entire life. Target is promoting deep discounts on the iPhone 6 right now if you exchange an old smart phone. The two mobile employees, who told me multiple times that they were new at this, could not figure out how to exchange a smart phone for almost two hours. They called multiple places and were either disconnected or could not understand the instructions. I finally told them to call the mobile department at another Target that I knew had good employees. That finally resolved that issue. Then when they tried to set up my new phone with Verizon, it was literally a comedy of errors. Not only did they not quite understand the plans, they didn't know the right questions to ask or even their system. When they finally asked the store manager to come by (when the system went "down") he said sorry, mobile employees really aren't considered part of the rest of the store. Completely ineffective and uncaring of the fact that these employees were floundering. At the three and a half hour mark they were still so confused and really unable to explain how the upgrade would work I took back the smart phone I was going to exchange - which they had dissected (pulling off the back cover and removing the battery), and said forget it. I would've walked out sooner if they hadn't pulled apart the phone, but it's a risk I clearly have to take to go to a place with competent service and a store manager who gives a damn at all. I feel sorry for these people who evidently receive no training, and more importantly, have almost no one to consistently call for help. read more
