Your typical, large-sized, clean Target with friendly staff and good prices. Not much to say here. I was quite satisfied.

I spent over 2 1/2 hours sifting through what appeared to be a very large selection of rugs, only to learn once I narrowed down my search to my top 3 choices, two of those three were no longer available to order (but still in the showroom as available samples). I moved on from my rug to choose my custom couch. The order was entered so I assumed all was good - yay! Nope! One week after ordering, I received a phone call stating the material I chose was no longer available and I needed to make another selection - which also meant changing my four accent pillows and returning the rug that I had purchased elsewhere. Lastly, our recliners were standard (non-custom) orders. We were given a delivery date of up to 12-15 weeks out! Because we were exhausted in this purchasing process, we agreed. Now, here I am....15 weeks out with no update. I called to check on the status of our order, only to learn it has been pushed out another 6-8 weeks - for STANDARD recliners! Prepare yourself for what appears to be great variety and selection in their showroom, but then learning, it really isn't an option, as well as 5-6 months to get your order! If we weren't already months into this process, I would cancel for sure!

https://www.schneidermans.com/products/matthew-3-piece-sectional…read moreWe purchased the top of the line warranty for our couch. We finally had them pick it up to, "fix" it, we just got it back. Wow, they really screwed us over. We paid a lot for this POS; the frame broke, ALL THE CUSHIONS AND PILLOWS went FLAT, the fabric is scratchy, (they talked us out of a different fabric because it would take up to 6-7 months to receive said couch, not to mention that the original couch we initially picked was a complete different layout etc. We went to the salesman to purchase "our dream couch" and come to fond out after 20-30 minutes it was unavailable because it had a wrong display marker). We had to start all over again, after hours of deciding. (We live almost two hours away, work weekdays, and it was during Covid. We wound up picking this POS for over 3500. We desperately needed new nice furniture, and this is what we got. Huge disappointment. We splurged, all we got was this POS, horrible and rude customer service, no resolutions.

A Disappointing Experience with Borofka's Burnsville After Years of Loyalty…read more My husband and I have been going to Borofka's Furniture in Burnsville, MN for many years. Throughout our visits, the sales staff were consistently pleasant and professional, which is why we were excited to finally make a significant purchase in September 2025. The Promising Beginning We had previously spoken with store manager Martin Thorpe and were genuinely impressed by his professionalism and attentiveness. When we returned in September, we were pleased to see Martin still on staff and looked forward to working with him. He exceeded our initial expectations by visiting our home to assess our living room layout personally, then returning to the store to prepare a thoughtful presentation tailored to our needs. We appreciated his approach and went home to carefully consider our options. On September 23, 2025, we returned to finalize our purchase and select materials. Throughout this process, Martin was polite and reassuring. We were so impressed that when our daughter expressed interest in purchasing furniture, we enthusiastically recommended Martin. He welcomed the opportunity to help her and asked her to visit the showroom. While scheduling conflicts prevented that visit from happening immediately, Martin was understanding and gracious about the delay. During the sales process, Martin made a specific commitment that gave us confidence in our nearly $10,000 investment: he assured us he would personally attend the delivery to ensure the furniture was arranged according to our agreed-upon plan. Where the Experience Fell Apart The initial six-week delivery timeline was extended by a couple of weeks due to high order volume during a promotion--an understandable delay that we accepted without complaint. However, communication became increasingly problematic. When my husband stopped by the store about a week before Thanksgiving to check on our order, Martin mentioned the manufacturer was slow to respond and communicated only via email. He promised to update us but never did. After Thanksgiving, we finally received a call--not from Martin, but from another store employee--informing us our furniture was ready for delivery. We scheduled the appointment, naturally expecting Martin to honor his commitment to be present. The Delivery Day Disappointment The delivery team was exceptional--respectful, professional, and clearly experienced. When I asked where Martin was, they were as surprised as we were. They had no information about his promised attendance and no floor plan for furniture placement. A call to the store revealed that Martin was on vacation and apparently knew nothing about being present for our delivery. What hurt most wasn't that Martin took time off--employees certainly deserve vacations. What was deeply disappointing was the complete lack of communication or planning. Martin never: Informed us he wouldn't be available Arranged for another staff member to fulfill his commitment Provided the delivery team with our floor plan Followed up after the delivery The delivery professionals handled the situation admirably, sharing their experience and suggestions to help us make decisions Martin should have guided us through. They clearly felt as uninformed as we did. The Aftermath and Our Current Feelings Since delivery, there has been zero follow-up communication from Martin or anyone at Borofka's. No check-in to ensure we're satisfied, no acknowledgment of the broken commitment, no attempt to make things right. This experience has left us feeling like we were valued only until the sale was completed. Once our nearly $10,000 was secured, we seemingly ceased to matter. For a store manager--someone who should exemplify exceptional customer service and set the standard for their team--this lack of follow-through is particularly concerning. Our Perspective Going Forward We want to be clear: the furniture quality is excellent, which is why we chose Borofka's in the first place. The delivery team was outstanding and did their best in a difficult situation they didn't create. However, we are now reluctant to: Return to the Burnsville location for future purchases Visit other Borofka's locations, despite knowing one manager's behavior shouldn't reflect on all stores Recommend Borofka's to friends and family When a store manager treats customers this way, it raises legitimate questions about how the rest of the staff is being trained and what standard of customer care the company values. What We Hope For We hope other customers don't experience what we did. We hope this feedback reaches leadership who care about customer relationships extending beyond the point of sale. And we hope that in an industry built on trust and significant financial investments, companies will prioritize the follow-through that turns one-time buyers into lifetime advocates. Rating: 2/5 Furniture Quality: 5/5 Delivery Team: 5/5 Sales Process: 3

I told him I wanted comfy, traditional, durable furniture. He steered me away from a few and got my sense of style very quickly. He explained the pros and cons of different sets and really seemed to want to help me. We found a set I loved, priced it out, and shook hands so I could ponder and make sure I wanted to purchase. No pressure to buy on the spot. Ended up coming back later that night to buy. My toddlers were with me and treated like royalty by the sales staff. Dinged them one star for the lack of follow up after purchase. The furniture had to be ordered, then delivered to my house. No one ever called to tell me it had come in. When I called to inquire, the woman on the phone acted like it was obvious that I would need to call to confirm my stuff had come in and call to schedule delivery. A miss in the sales process to not have someone calling when items come in. The delivery guys were fantastic and kind. Love my new couch and chair!

SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE DON'T DO IT YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! Whatever…read moreyou do stay clear of this business. Don't know if they are all the same but this is definitely one to avoid. Bought an "L" shaped sectional with (with 3 year INSURANCE) multiple motorized pieces. The Insurance scam team they use is INSURANCE CARE PROTECTION and once you've given them your money you'll never see it or see the fruit of having insurance because of a predictor fraud policy that they have to protect keeping your money with no results. The first week, well probably first few days, the back of the section that bends in the "L" shape broke just from minor sitting back in it. I know exactly how much pressure was placed on it cause I did it. Tried to see what I could do for it then called but got run around cause it was weekend. Had to call them back and then played musical phones for a while. My phone says their number is connected to fraud or scam calls so no surprise. They had me send ALOT of pictures and then told me (after I called them again of course for followup) the policy is only good if claimed within 5 days. Yeah it's in the policy. So the policy is good for 3 years BUT once and after a single claim has been made it's VOID for everything on that piece! Guess I'll have to fix that myself. Now I have a motorized leg piece not working on another piece let's see what will happen. Called same day, "someone will call you back," but we had to call back then they said no claim had been made with that call. More phone tag, "we'll call you back within 24 hrs" but don't and musical chairs so far. I'd give them a zero in stars but Yelp won't let me cause that what they deserve. Actually Negative 5 stars. Becker Furniture back your own product so I blame you as well so stop using predatory insurance scammers. INSURANCE CARE PROTECTION quit your practices. Buyer Beware!

If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.
