I only visited their old spot on Grand Ave once, but it seems like they've expanded their inventory (see pictures). This new location has so much natural daylight and a lovely seating area for classes or just to sit and work on a project. I'm allergic to animal-based fibers (I like to joke my skin is vegan), so I'm happy they have a good selection of cotton yarn, not just one or two! They don't just stop at yarn. They have materials and tools for felting, embroidery, kits of many sorts, gifts, etc. Service: the people here are super knowledgeable and helpful! From selecting materials to pattern help, they're happy to step in. It's great to have a place where the workers are ready to help when the internet falls short. Prices: what you'd expect from a small business. You're paying for quality though. Parking: free on street or free parking lot behind the businesses next door. Accessibility: for those with wheelchairs and mobility issues, there's a wheelchair-accessible entrance in the back of the shop accessible by the alley (better to drive your car back there).

This weekend we visited Dandelion and got some very good advice on a project. The store itself is very neat and well stocked. They have nice comfortable seats for non knitters which is a big plus for me. The owner helped my wife solve a challenging knitting problem. There seemed to be a large selection of yarns which were well organized and displayed. There is on street parking. I am sure we'll be back.
