For $14.99, you get your fixing of crawfish! They were juicy, and most importantly, flavorful! Once it was a problem with a crawfish poboy. The crawfish was cooked so hard there was no taste. I told the staff and they said they would try to make the next time I got one better. Today I got a 6" cheeseburger poboy. It had one patty that was torn with one part about3/4 and the other part was crumbled up to cover part of the bread. I didn't order a veggie poboy! This place doesn't take reservations and it is common to have a 90 minute wait - the place is pretty small. We went for lunch, which only had a 30 minute wait, which was acceptable. We were able to sit outside and order a beer while we waited. We had the crawfish platter, which was wonderful. It was boiled with jalapenos, which gave the crawfish a nice flavor. It would have been 5 stars for me, but the fried oysters were just a bit too salty and I felt that the rice to gumbo ratio for the gumbo bowl was off. Southern Hospitality! We stopped on our cross-country drive from CA to try crawfish for the first time. Our waitress Cindy was so sweet, sitting next to my 87 yr. old dad showing us how to eat them. Very small, but has a cozy and ultra friendly atmosphere. I got the crawfish platter that was 3lbs of good ole mud bugs and a corn and potatoes and all of it was so good I cleaned the platter. What a gem! We went to Biloxi and stopped by here for early dinner (about 5-7mins from I-10). Even it's only 5pm but the waiting time already 30 mins and full of locals. 1st time I had crawfish cooked with jalapeños. However they were so good and $4.49/lb with 10 lbs, no one can beat that now. All other foods are good and cheap besides the fried oysters which is ok.
