Taranto's always hits the spot! When you first arrive, it looks tiny and crowded from the outside. The parking lot is small and sometimes you have to be creative about where you park. That being said, they do a great job of strategically seating people to maximize the space. I've never had to wait for a table. The staff are amazing. They are on top of drink refills, checking in on customers, and making sure you have a great time. Everyone here works as a team to make sure guests are enjoying their dining experience. They have GREAT seafood. I love getting their snow crab legs. They're perfectly seasoned and always delicious. They also have excellent crawfish. The seasoning they use is fantastic and they include jalapeños in their boil if you need that extra heat! The prices are fair and the experience is always excellent.

Seafood Boil Bliss If Poseidon himself opened a restaurant, it'd look a lot like this. I came in with ten fingers and left with crab-scented happiness under every nail. Now, the boil: mountains of snow crab legs, tender potatoes, and corn so juicy it whispered sweet Southern nothings to me. The crab was perfectly cooked -- sweet, flaky, and practically begged to be dipped in that liquid gold (aka drawn butter). We cracked, dipped, devoured, and made a glorious mess of it. That red bucket in the middle? That's the MVP. It caught shells, regrets, and probably a few tears of joy. The table looked like a seafood war zone, and we were the victorious, buttery warriors. Bonus: The fried pickles (hard to tell mid-food haze) showed up like crunchy little angels. And don't sleep on the fries -- golden, crispy, and clearly fried by someone with a deep respect for potatoes. 10/10 would recommend. Wear stretchy clothes, bring friends you're not afraid to get elbow-deep in crab juice with, and don't forget the wet wipes -- you're gonna need 'em.

Food was good and spicy. Waiters were kind and attentive. The roadside diner is my favorite kind of establishment. All local.

My friends had great things to say about this place. It looks like a small place but there enough room inside for everyone. The servers were nice and not overbearing. I ordered the Thursday special BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was a disappointment. The bun was dry and too toasted on top and it's dollar store quality made the sandwich small and upsetting. The fries were great and the sauce was very good. My friends got the Crawfish, the catfish Basket, and the fried Shrimp and enjoyed their food. I'd recommended giving this place a shot for sure, and go for the seafood unlike me.

This is a hidden gem in Woolmarket area. I always pass by this restaurant a lot. I always see people crowded here on weekends. Nice little wait if crowded. Well worth it! I began to get curious about this place. I am so happy to discover this place. It is not a big restaurant. However, it has plenty of parking spaces on the corner off the main road. I noticed a sign on the wall that a local article says that it the best poboy on the coast. I failed to take a picture of the article. I will say that it was right. Be sure to check it out posted on the wall when exploring the restaurant. We time it out to come a little bit earlier than usual to avoid the crowds. As we came in, we were welcomed to a very friendly staff. They made us feel like we are family. Makes you feel like a long distance relative visiting in a family in a while. They quickly sat us down and eagerly awaited to see what wonderful dishes to enjoy. I failed to get her name. She quickly noted that they have fresh oysters in stock and fresh boiled shrimp right now. Also the daily specialties for today. The booth next to us ordered a dozen oysters and said they are delicious! We politely declined and started out with non alcoholic beverages to start. Got a fountain water and bottled Barq's Root Beer. We told her we were craving fried shrimp. And she suggested the shrimp poboy with fries and daily special for Friday is fried shrimp basket. The shrimp basket comes with shrimp of course, fries, hush puppies, and two lighted toasted French bread. I also ordered the shrimp poboy. She asked me if I liked it dressed (mayo, lettuce and tomato). Also asked if in 6" or 12". Wasn't that hungry. So said I'll start out with the 6" and see after. Also asked for onion rings instead of fries. She was glad to accommodate me. Just be an extra fee. She quickly brought out our order. I think it helped that it wasn't too crowded at that point. The food was great. Very delicious! I can definitely see why the article said it is the best poboy on the coast. They definitely taste wonderful! Both were fresh fried and crispy. I thought they forgot the hush puppies. She they are there. And noticed it was buried under the fresh fries. She also brought out chilled cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup. The seating is very comfortable in the booths. And the table seating looks pretty good too. I noticed another room that had a larger group going to be dining there; it looks like they linked few tables to accommodate them. I definitely recommend calling ahead if you are planning to dine there with a group. Make sure they can accommodate you guys. As we were paying. She mentioned they are planning to get some fresh crawfish and crabs in soon. Please call ahead it seems what they have to offer. All are so very friendly! We will be back! Definitely a must if you are in the area! They do accept military discount with valid I.D. If you love it so much. Want a nice little gift to wear. They have a small gift shop. Do not be scared to grab a shirt. I not sure about the WiFi here. But I did notice a few networks. They are password protected. Also I just noticed they just built a round about off I-10 recently.

We like a one of a kind place. This restaurant has been on my list since I moved to the coast but I have never been in the vicinity. Today my errand's took me right down the street!!! I've tried a lot of gumbo on the coast. This by far is a well seasoned well balanced gumbo. We had a delicious shrimp basket which was the special. The breading in the shrimp was perfect, the shrimps natural flavor was perfect. The French fries and all the sauces were great. We finished our meal with the delicious bread pudding. Truly amazing with texture and flavor. My husband said, "it's been a while since I've had a meal out that satisfied me on all levels". This included the staff, the amazing young women who take care of the tables with cooperation from one another. If you like a comfortable extremely delicious affordable place to go this is a perfect!

One of the best spots on the Coast for anything under the sun, especially the roast beef poboy. It was delish.

Key deserves a huge shout out for being such a sweet and attentive server. I liked her tremendously. We had the boudin egg rolls and the Swamp Tour Sampler: jambalaya, crawfish étouffée, gumbo, and red beans and rice. For dessert, we had bread pudding with beignets. The Boudin egg rolls were the best thing I ate on my entire trip. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy, every bite was heaven. The jambalaya was the best jambalaya I had on my trip as well. It had a fantastic smokiness and was not wet at all. I also loved the crawfish étouffée. It was creamy and loaded. The red beans and rice had a bit of a sweet edge that was not quite my taste. Try for yourself. The bread pudding was the perfect sendoff. Bite-size beignets were nestled in the bread pudding. It was a sweet, creamy, perfectly Mississippi dessert. I loved Parrain's so much that I bought a T-shirt. I generally don't like wearing clothes that serve as advertisements, but this place just has to be advertised all around the country. Key, thanks for a great lunch! If you're ever in Biloxi, Mississippi, you must go and try this little gem.

We split a few things between the two of us. We had the tour of the swamp. The red beans and rice was really great. Not always my favorite when we go out but it really stood out. Very flavorful. The etouffee was great. Wish there was more crawfish but I always wish there was more. We all probably do with most dishes. lol. The jambalaya was really good. Well seasoned. Now my wife is picky about gumbo and is a hard judge to please. I am a little more on the giving side and look at it from the perspective of "even a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work" point of view. A day with gumbo is generally a better day most days. The gumbo this day was not great. I have heard amazing things and I was not impressed. I will only mark off a star because everything else was so great. I hope it was just a bad day and we will hope for a better next time. And there will be a next time for sure. The shrimp po boy was slam packed with shrimp. Great bread and dressed well. The boudin eggrolls were fantastic. Sift and tender on the inside and crispy crunchy on the outside. Loved them.

It was originally named Marina Cantina but is under new ownership. Parking is a bit sparse here, and you used to be able to park under the bridge but that was blocked off last time I went. You may have to park in the overflow gravel lot just west of the building, which also serves as parking for the excellent Blue Dog Bistro next door. We started with the Tres Amigos appetizer, which included a pile of fresh chips combined with salsa, cheese sauce, and black bean sauce. It was great and really meant for more than two people. They don't skimp on this one. I've been here several times and always get the Shrimp A Go Go poboy, which is pictured here. Although I feel like it could have used a few more shrimp for the price point, it was really good and comes with this creamy sort of salsa that pairs well with the fried shrimp. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and honestly it was bigger and looked better than my poboy. I am definitely trying that next time. I hope this place is doing well because it never seems very busy when we go. It's like something is missing on the inside to liven it up. Our tables were covered in epoxy that was cracked and we saw buckling on the wood floors, most likely from humidity. Service has always been pretty quick and I have never had any complaints. I know the City caused a lot of drama for the previous owners, which is unfortunate. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a few drinks and great food.
