I would strongly recommend staying away from Alexander Dental…read more I recently went to Alexander Dental for a treatment plan that totaled approximately $5,000. I still have outstanding work that needs to be completed, including a cleaning and crown replacement, and now one of the teeth they worked on is causing severe pain. At my initial appointment, they collected payment and told me they could complete all of the planned work in a single visit. Although I was surprised, I agreed. After completing work on two teeth, they instructed me to take a one-hour break. The break wasn't long enough to go home, and I couldn't eat because of the dental work, so I waited in my car. When I returned, they numbed me again, checked my mouth, and then asked if I could reschedule the rest of the treatment. When I tried to reschedule, they attempted to push the appointment out another two weeks despite the fact that I was already experiencing significant pain. I insisted on being seen sooner and was able to get an appointment the following week. At that appointment, they still weren't able to complete all the fillings as planned. Only part of the work was finished, requiring me to return for a third visit and miss even more work. While I was frustrated, I tried to be understanding. Now I've received an additional invoice for more than $500. When I contacted the office to resolve the issue, I was told that I had said my "card didn't work" and that I would call back. That never happened. What I actually said was that I didn't have any more time to spend waiting in the office because I needed to get back to work, and that they should call me to explain why there was an outstanding balance after they had already collected payment upfront. The billing process was confusing from the beginning. If staff are attempting to collect payment, they should be able to explain account balances and charges instead of requiring patients to wait for a treatment coordinator. They should also ensure that treatment estimates accurately reflect the work being performed and schedule patients appropriately if they cannot complete the procedures as promised. I am not someone who complains without offering solutions. This office could significantly improve the patient experience by implementing a few basic policies and procedures: Confirm before treatment whether all scheduled procedures can realistically be completed during the appointment. Provide explanations whenever treatment plans, timelines, or costs change especially at check in. Train front-desk and checkout staff to explain balances and payment discrepancies before requesting additional payment rather than having to wait for the treatment coordinator post appointment. Establish a policy that patients experiencing pain receive priority scheduling when follow-up treatment is needed, specifically when the dentist reschedules. Conduct a final billing review before collecting large upfront payments to reduce unexpected charges later. After three appointments, missed work, ongoing dental issues, severe pain, and now unexpected additional charges, I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Patients deserve transparency, accurate scheduling, and clear communication regarding both treatment and billing.

He was laughing and smiling the whole appointment and even got to pick a toy out of the treasure chest before we left. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and inviting as well. Valerie was the hygienist who took xrays and cleaned my teeth. She was very nice, experienced, and did a great job which was painless. As well as xrays she did have a handheld 3-D scanner which took a detailed picture of my teeth. They do that in lieu of impressions when emailing to the lab to get a crown made. Dr. Jarrerel examined me and gave me a good evaluation. He was not pushy, arrogant, or using scare tactics but did recommend I get a few things taken care of. Very laid back Dentist which is rare. My 1st impression was that the office was well equipped and i liked the staff. I will be back

I chose to proactively replace my bridge since it was 25 yrs old and there were signs of mild decay underneath. The replacement took Dr. Machado five attempts (you read that correctly- FIVE attempts) until she was able to provide me with a passable replacement bridge. Which translated into many trips to and from her office between July and November. Not surprisingly, it was always the fault of the lab. You might wonder how I could have possibly endured going back so many times. At the time, I was overwhelmed with taking care of a very sick family member and I didn't have the bandwidth to deal with this fiasco on top of everything. I just crossed my fingers and hoped that the next visit would be "the last one." Note that there was no mention of reimbursing me for my time and gas expenditure... until I brought it up. The good news is that I was eventually reimbursed for time & gas at my last visit to the office, after a teeth cleaning, when I explained all this to someone at the front desk. When I presented my teeth-cleaning bill to her, she made an executive decision to take it from me and tell me it was taken care of. I'm sorry that I didn't note the name of this true professional. The worst part of this whole ridiculous experience is that despite all the stress & frustration, I still have a less-than-perfect-fitting bridge. Food gathers under the lingual side of the bridge after each meal. Lovely, right? I recently considered requesting a full reimbursement from Dr. Machado for the entire process so I could take my ill-fitted bridge to another dental office and have it completely redone. However, after reading other reviews, I realized that I would NEVER get my money back from this dental group. Fair, ethical, and capable, they are not.

The hygienists are energetic, friendly, and incredibly kind. They strike the perfect balance between professional and personable, and they clearly care about patient comfort. I have a sensitivity to the sound of the water pick when they're cleaning my back teeth (for me it's basically nails on a chalkboard), and without hesitation they offer ear plugs. That small act of empathy goes a long way and makes a huge difference. I've also had a couple of fillings done over the past year. I won't pretend I enjoy needles, numbing, or drilling--because who does?--but the team kept me calm, didn't overwhelm me, and made sure I stayed as comfortable as possible throughout the process. If you're looking for a dental office that's skilled, compassionate, and understands that dental anxiety is very real, Mill Creek Dental Care is an easy recommendation. Even the parts I normally dread were handled with care (and ear plugs).

First time i went there was given another appointment in three days. They called to cancel because dentist was sick. Coincidently, so was I. Ended up hospitalized at mayo for 32 days. And FYI, they say they take insurance but have no clue what they are doing, Expect to be pulled out of the chair to pay out of pocket.
