The people at this dental office were all very friendly and I rarely had to wait long to get in for…read moreteeth cleanings, but my experience with Dr. Machado in getting a replacement bridge was outrageous. I chose to proactively replace my bridge since it was 25 yrs old and there were signs of mild decay underneath. The replacement took Dr. Machado five attempts (you read that correctly- FIVE attempts) until she was able to provide me with a passable replacement bridge. Which translated into many trips to and from her office between July and November. Not surprisingly, it was always the fault of the lab. You might wonder how I could have possibly endured going back so many times. At the time, I was overwhelmed with taking care of a very sick family member and I didn't have the bandwidth to deal with this fiasco on top of everything. I just crossed my fingers and hoped that the next visit would be "the last one." Note that there was no mention of reimbursing me for my time and gas expenditure... until I brought it up. The good news is that I was eventually reimbursed for time & gas at my last visit to the office, after a teeth cleaning, when I explained all this to someone at the front desk. When I presented my teeth-cleaning bill to her, she made an executive decision to take it from me and tell me it was taken care of. I'm sorry that I didn't note the name of this true professional. The worst part of this whole ridiculous experience is that despite all the stress & frustration, I still have a less-than-perfect-fitting bridge. Food gathers under the lingual side of the bridge after each meal. Lovely, right? I recently considered requesting a full reimbursement from Dr. Machado for the entire process so I could take my ill-fitted bridge to another dental office and have it completely redone. However, after reading other reviews, I realized that I would NEVER get my money back from this dental group. Fair, ethical, and capable, they are not.

I was shocked to receive a surprise collection notice for a balance I had no idea was heading to…read morecollections. When I called the office to ask why I never received a final warning, their response was that I had 'opened an email' back in May. That email was not a final notice--it was a generic, automated 'New Statement' that simply said I had 30 days to view my bill online. It contained zero mention of being past due, zero mention of an impending deadline, and absolutely zero mention of debt collection or credit damage. I paid the balance to stop the credit hit, but I was forced to pay an extra collection fee because of their lack of clear communication. When I called back to ask if they would help with that extra fee since I never received a proper warning, they flatly refused and just repeated that I had opened the automated email. Future patients: Do not assume this office will call you, mail you, or explicitly warn you before sending your balance to collections. A generic e-statement is the only heads-up you will get. Check your balance constantly. This experience clearly deserves 1 star.

They enjoyed the tokens they would get for being cavity free and they would put it in the machine for a prize. Everyone there is so kind and the kids love them. Inside this location are lots of fish hanging on the wall in soothing ocean colors and a little tree house that your littles can play on, equipped with a steering wheel and telescope. You're also welcomed with an aquarium full of fish and ocean life, that the kiddos get a kick out of. Staff was friendly, from the front desk person to the hygenist, to the dentist. We had Ms. Sammi as our hygienist and she was super personable and kept the convo going. It's great to see that each dental station is equipped with a tv above the chair and headphones, so your kiddo can be distracted and watch their favorite program. Ms. Sammi was great, cleaned my littles teeth (I'm pretty sure he didn't even know he got his teeth cleaned he was so distracted). Dr. Susie came and went through his X-rays, let us know which teeth are loose, and we got set up with our next appointment. I love that this location gives your little a coin, so they can go to the prize vending machine and pick our their favorite item. They also walk away with a branded cup that changes color, floss picks, toothbrush, and some toothpaste.

I went and saw Dr Stakem on Monday to make sure nothing was wrong, and again today because I haven't noticed any improvements. The nurses have been AMAZING- so nice, caring and understanding- but Dr Stakem should go take a crash course on bedside table manners. He basically told me that I was being a cry baby and that the pain would go away, that since I was up and speaking that I wasn't experiencing any "real" pain. He insinuated that I needed to just chill out and that the pain would go away and that I had a low pain tolerance. I'm sorry, but for someone that's been through surgery before and had many injuries, I don't think it's crazy of me to want to make sure I'm okay when 7 days after the wisdom tooth procedure I'm still LITERALLY crying from pain. I will never be returning to this "doctor" for any help or advice. He made me feel like an idiot and I left wanting to cry. Nurses should go find somewhere better to work because they were great. Some doctor.
