I waited to see if the pain would subside, but it continued, so I googled dentists and found Dr. Daniel Haeussner on Yelp. Called and talked to Kara, who was so kind a welcoming and they fit me in the same day to see what was going on. Everything from their lovely office, to their friendly staff, to their service was top notch. Kim, my dental assistant, quickly put me at ease and assured we'd address what the issue is as she took X-rays and made me comfortable. Dr. Haeussner came in and let me know everything looked good in the X-ray. He asked if I had been stressed lately (who hasn't!? But my job has been very stressful lately) and thought I may be grinding my teeth. He asked if I had also been experiencing headaches, which last week I had terrible headaches, so much so I got a Covid test just to be sure! He did a bite test, and even when I thought there is no way this pain is coming from grinding, he was sweet and did another one just to ease my concerns. He recommended a warm compress and anti-inflammatory. I could not believe this was causing this sort of pain, so I was so relieved to hear the news! I thought for sure I needed emergency filling or root canal. My dad is a dentist in Michigan and so this was my first experience outside of family. Dr. Haeussner assured me there were no major concerns and I appreciated his honest, sincere compassion with the situation. Funny enough, we laughed how my dad is also named Daniel, and I saw the Dr. Dan of St. Augustine. Anyone who is looking for a dentist, look no further! I called Alexander Dental and explained the situation. Dr. Alexander explained they had a digital scanner that could scan the surface of the tooth area and upload the file for a the tooth to be made and this would greatly decrease the time between the first visit and the second visit so it could all be done while i was in Florida. True to his word he was able to scan the tooth on Thursday and by the following Wednesday, just two days before Christmas I had the the new tooth and a cleaning. His office staff (lead by his his lovely and attractive wife) were very helpful and friendly. Dr Alexander was attentive even though he was very busy (everyone getting perfect teeth for their Christmas photos i guess) and made sure I understood exactly what was going on and answered all my questions. The office is modern and professional and I couldn't have been happier. He is also a former marine and since my son is in the Navy that doesn't hurt. I would definitely recommend Alexander Dental.

Im not okay with getting that many and they refused to just gather few simple ones. I drove over an hour at 730 in the morning just for them to be rude and not willing to work with the patient who simply doesn't want 1000 xrays. All I needed was a simple cleaning. I had a couple cavities that I just got filled 30 minutes ago, I had to run to Yelp to rave about it! Who raves about getting fillings? This was the most pleasant experience a patient could have during this procedure. Dr. Yang is professional, sweet, and his expertise was over-the-top evident. I didn't even feel the Novocaine injections. That takes some skill, because at previous dentists (across the street from them...) it felt like some sort of medieval stabbing and hammering at my teeth and hurt so bad. I didn't feel a THING with Dr. Yang and he drilled and filled two adjacent cavities way back in my mouth. His bedside manner is calming and his assistant was on top of everything and they had a nice rapport together. The place has a nostalgic family feel with state of the art modern tools and equipment. I replied in 40 yrs. all my dentist come in to do oral exam to see if anything has changed since last visit. At this office no complementary Tooth Brush or Toothpaste after CLEANING. After cleaning had to make appointment for TWO Fillings from previous evaluation in August 2026, had all insurance info, front desk would not give me appointment until I prepaid copay 20%. Returned 2 weeks later for 2 fillings (same area) DDS N.N. put a Dental Dam in my mouth (uncomfortable blue month piece to keep area for filling dry) water running down my throat I could not breath, DDS yelling at me I only need 20 seconds to dry. Nightmare! Researched and Dental Dams are rarely used because of main reason patient DISCOMFORT. Went to front desk to check out and was charged addition $44.00 for a large cavity? Next day called insurance (Atena Dental) disputed by in network was over charged $81.60. Filed claim w Credit Card reversed charges. People , please check Dental Insurance in network and contact them and go over your cost submitted.
