The dining is casual facing the ocean if you get a good upstairs view. They have beach seating down but I noticed it does get pretty dark n not well lit up. We ordered the mixed ceviche, guacamole and chips, fried fish tacos, one baked fish taco, al pastor tacos, margaritas and agua fresca (though in the menu it was called "fruit water"). I would definitely recommend the baked fish taco and the mixed ceviche PLUS the agua fresca is a surprising MUST. Wow!! Super fresh and natural tastinv but flavorful. We ordered watermelon but I'm sure the other flavors are good too. But skip the guacamole and chips as it was small and very underwhelming. You can choose between corn or flour tortilla for each taco. I think they charge extra for the flour tortilla though without telling you. But everything is very cheap. Fun and happening place in the Tulum Beach area. Definitely worth the trek out and get there early to get a good spot. When you walk through the entrance you will see the pathway with bottles that cover the roof. From there you will see the beach with an amazing view. Food and drinks are at a really good price and they serve breakfast and dinner. I had a variety of tacos, ceviche, and etc. Drinks were really amazing, cervezas, coco loco and the margaritas were great! Music is definitely a great vibe here too! read more

Thought relative to other taco and burrito spots we tried in Tulum, the food here was just ok (hence 3 stars) but if you can snag a seat/table on the beach/sand, the ambience is great on a sunny beautiful afternoon. On food- meat for the al pastor was overcooked/dry, and the other tacos weren't particularly outstanding either. Guac was tasty and chips are freshly fried so super tasty, but note plate/portion is pretty small so you'll likely want more than one if sharing between 3+ people. The jalapeño poppers come in 3 per order- but they're much bigger than any I've come across in the US and can be easily split in group of 6. Drinks are decent and are served in homemade glasses made from old plastic bottles - adds to the fun beachy vibe. Let's start this review with the fact that I'm not a harsh reviewer at all (look at my other reviews and you will see). This was the worst place we ate at in Tulum, when I say the worst I mean the actual worst of the worst. 1. The waiter didn't even bring us menus. We sat down for about 30 minutes and then helped ourselves to a menu we saw at a table. THEN, that's when the waiter finally appeared. Let me tell you, the waiter was lost. He looked dirty and LOST. You would ask about the menu and he would just stare at you. Didn't explain anything or even said a word. Let me tell you, I was ready to leave no tip, but it was already included (although optional). But my boyfriend has a better heart than I do, because we left MORE than enough for this crappy service. 2. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. No soap to wash your hands and when you asked, it was a stupid question apparently. The menus were sticky. Even though we're not huge covid people, I'm all about people being clean on a regular basis with or without COVID...this is not a clean place. If there's no soap, what are the employees/cooks watching their hands with? 3. The tacos sucked. Sorry but like what else can I say? Go to the food truck down the street in "tulumunchies" and spend your money there. THOSE ARE TACOS. 4. This is the place to people watch. This is the place for cheap beers. My visit to La Eufemia was okay. Michele and I had ordered egg tacos, beef tacos, mushroom and garlic tacos and a plate of guacamole. The egg and beef tacos were great. They had put a lot on the tacos and well worth the money. The mushroom and garlic tacos wasn't as tasty as I expected. It really lacked flavor and the salsa was really the only taste of flavor I got from the taco. The guacamole and chips were probably my favorite part of the meal they tasted wonderful and just so good!! The salsa bar is pretty cool as they have several salsas to satisfy your spice needs. The beers and tacos were really cheap. Which was great for your pocket if you're looking for tacos on a budget during your stay at the strip since everything else is way overpriced. I came here for a few days in a row when staying In Tulum because it was cheap. I realized the first time I went the service was poor and the staff was rude, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Went here and ordered 2 beers and 4 tacos and was patient until 45 minutes passed and I asked my server where my food was. He made an "oh shit" face when he realized he forgot to put my order in, then said to the bartender in Spanish "I forgot the girls order." Then he tried to tell me I didn't order tacos and miraculously when I went to leave he had the food ready. The guy who cashes people out has a shit attitude and will sit there and look at you, then ignore you while he does something else. I told the guy who sat me about what happened and his response was "F--k you, bit-h" In general, most of Tulum is like this, but this place is the bottom of the barrel. It might look appealing, but I promise there are better places to Go than this garbage bar. read more

The vibe here is great, beach front with live music and a great happy hour. The food and drinks were much cheaper compare to other spots on the beach. I ordered the ceviche and octopus tacos. The ceviche came out right away but they definitely forgot about my taco, we had to remind 2 different servers there, even with that it took a while to come out. The reason I'm giving it a 3 stars because of the service. They are extremely busy and not easy staff and you might have to wait a while for your drinks and food. Our favorite food we had in Tulum - very reasonably priced and amazing happy hour deal (2 for 1 drinks !!!! ) and our tacos were so delicious with so much filling. Wow, this place went *way* downhill after the move. I had good memories of the old place so I dragged my friends here. It's now part of a trashy/corny "hip" hotel. When we climbed the stairs we were engulfed in clouds of pot smoke. Not pleasant but not a dealbreaker. I stopped at the restroom and they were beyond disgusting. I always say that the way a restaurant keeps their bathrooms shows how they keep their kitchen. I would call these "dive bar filthy." I had a margarita that was fine. The tacos that I remembered so fondly were gross. Greasy, flavorless, overcooked proteins. No onion/radish like they used to have. The salsa bar looked sketchy and gross. I couldn't eat much of the tacos because they were so bad and I was afraid to get sick. The kicker was that they overcharged me by a lot. But I just wanted to get out of there so I just paid. Have been going here for years. The food is good. You're not going to get the best taco of your trip here, but that's not what Eufemia is for. Eufemia is meant to have a laid back ambiance, right on the beach, with cheap drinks and solid food.. in a sea of beach resorts owned by billionaire land developers and overpriced eateries run by rich American restaurateurs. Those complaining of slow service, I hear you. But when you go to an inexpensive crowded hot spots never expect lightening fast white glove service. The exchange rate is better if you are paying in pesos, as with nearly any restaurant in Tulum, so be sure to have pesos handy. Eufemia does welcome passer bys selling goods, so expect to be asked a handful of times if you'd like to purchase a dream catcher or necklace... these people are locals simply trying to make a living. No need to be rude or look down upon them as though they are pests. If you don't want to be bothered, you might prefer to spend your day at one of the dozens of high priced resorts with $9 margaritas that strives to keep the local flavor out. But if you're looking for cool ambiance and low prices, eufemia is a solid bet. read more
