We stumbled on this restaurant while searching for reasonable drink and food. It's a restaurant attached to a hotel with nice views of the beach. There is outdoor and indoor "that feels like outdoor" seating. Service was great. The food was delicious. I would say the shrimp and octopus tacos were the highlight. Very flavorful!! We got there before 6.30pm and was the catch the BOGO mezcalitas ! The price was reasonable for the area. Would recommend.
Wowee, what can I say about this beach club in Tulum, Mexico, we had the best time here. So happy we decided to go with La Zebra for our beach day, we got the day pass which is approximately $80 per person, however, that money goes towards your food and drinks. Everything was absolutely top notch. The food was simply amazing. The staff was very attentive and always available for anything we needed. Loved it.
We came back to La Zebra after seven years, and it did not disappoint. The service, ambiance, and food were amazing. As soon as we arrived, we were seated promptly. We started with a side of tortilla chips and three different salsas. We ordered infladitas and guacamole, and we had to get another side of chips to go with our guacamole. My kids enjoyed the maracuyá juice, while my wife and I had some craft beers. For our main course, we had shrimp, carne asada, and cauliflower tempura tacos, along with a quesadilla.
Just got back from spending our honeymoon here. It is THE DREAM. This is the most perfect Mexico experience you can imagine, kept immaculate by the nicest people. Get a room with a your own ground-floor plunge pool/hot tub and you'll be steps from the restaurant, daybeds, ocean, and spa all day. You can watch the sun rise from your bed and order carrot cake from your hot tub. It's like this tiny little village full of all good things - fresh watermelon juices, octopus and shrimp tacos, fresh pastries, margaritas, and a heavenly Ayurvedic massage from the talented Carolina and Maurely. You don't need to leave, even though we did occasionally to go into the city for Honorio tacos and shopped along the strip. Coming back here again and again and recommend to everybody. 5 stars!!!!
Guys this spot is a hidden treasure! The photos online don't do it justice. This is a boutique hotel with the most beautiful beach just steps away from the property. Our rooms really exceeded our expectations. You are in the middle of town with easy walking access to hotels and restaurants. The drinks and food are pricy but good quality. The staff is delightful! I'm absolutely coming back!
Again back to La Zebra and having amazing experience! The dinner was fantastic. The taste and presentation was beautiful for beet appetizer and for the octopus. The octopus was the best I ever had in Tulum! My waiter Guti was very friendly and helpful! P.S. the wait time was around 25-30 mins but it was worth the waiting. They cook everything from scratch and it takes time for beets to be cooked. So please be patient.
Beautiful place and outstanding food and service! They had a lot of dishes that you don't see on every menu, and they make it a point to highlight local food producers, like sausage from Valladolid and several kinds of local liquors and craft beers. Some of us had the tiny empanada-like appetizers - I had the privilege of tasting the tuna and the taco sudado. The latter was really mind-blowing. We had the guacamole served in the traditional stone bowl, and it was very good and a generous portion. I had the Tikin Xic style fish (grouper) that was really perfectly prepared. Really special! Others had the grilled octopus and the stone soup and everyone loved their food. The ambiance was calm and quiet with great, non-disco music. A really outstanding experience if you aren't looking for a crazed, over-hyped party atmosphere!
While visiting Tulum, my partner and I ate at La Zebra several times for brunch. The food is delicious, drinks are creative and made by a mixologist. Staff is so welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant if you are in the area. You will leave with a memorable experience!
Beautiful breakfast overlooking the ocean. Huevos rancheros were delicious. Dulce de leches pancakes were ok. The dulce de leche came in a little cup, more leche than dulce but still good. Wish it were thicker (pause). The chorizo was good, salty (pause). Bloody Mary was real good! Nice music in the background, cool ocean breeze. Waiter was friendly.
Top notch!!! Everything about La Zebra Beach Club was amazing and over the moon awesome. Our server on both days of our visit was beyond accommodating and helpful. He truly went above and beyond to make our beach days special. The most posh family friendly beach club in Tulum, it's about $50US per person to enjoy the cabanas and beach access from La Zebra if you're not a guest. The menu is also posh and food is so fresh and delicious, so you'll easily surpass that amount with any meal plus drinks from the 'Mulberry Project' La Zebra's chic likkle beach bar w awesome music playing. Both family friendly and adult friendly, the cabanas are shaded, spacious, and comfy with towel rental available. The restroom (smelled SO good!) and outdoor shower are convenient and routinely cleaned, you'll likely bump into someone cleaning the restroom of sand and water on the floors. Hand sanitizer on deck everywhere! Good vibes only, this section of the beach was further down the strip but super chill and enjoyable with a nice amount of space between other beach guests to remain socially distant. The wooden playground, Jenga table, and swing were all also nice touches.
During a beach jog we stumbled across La Zebra and decided to stop, great decision. The setting is epic, right on the sand with the ocean as your backdrop and a relaxed morning atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive, making it an easy place to sit for a bit and cool down. I went with the breakfast burrito while my wife had the avocado toast, and both were fresh and satisfying without feeling heavy. Sometimes the best finds are the unplanned ones, and this was definitely one of them. read more

Easy and breezy! While this restaurant is right next to La Zebra Hotel, you don't have to stay there to eat here. It's a covered, open-air restaurant right on the beach with breezy seating and great ocean views. The food is consistently good to great, and the drinks are well made. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, each with its own menu. Highlights include excellent tableside guacamole with garlic oil, fresh ceviche, fruit and veggie smoothies, and plenty of kid-friendly options, even if they're not clearly labeled. Service was friendly and apologetic the few times a dish came out late. Overall, it's a convenient, relaxed beachside spot with solid food and a beautiful setting. read more
We posted up on a beach bed (no minimum during the slow season, super nice), ordered a pina colada and a pizza because that was exactly the kind of day it was, and spent hours reading while the staff took great care of us. I'll be honest, the seaweed was heavy this trip so I didn't get the swim I had last time, but that is a seasonal Tulum thing, not the restaurant's fault. One small note, the beach menu is a bit more limited than the full restaurant. None of it changed how lovely the afternoon was. Beautiful spot, kind people, I'll keep coming back. read more

Great spot, wonderful service, amazing food!!! From the moment we walked in to going back to the free parking across the street we had the best time. We are fascinated by the little casitas that you can rent and will look into staying there next time we are in Tulum. read more

While visiting Tulum, my partner and I ate at La Zebra several times for brunch. The food is delicious, drinks are creative and made by a mixologist. Staff is so welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful place by the beach in Tulum serving more upscale Mexican cuisine. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was colorful and flavorful. The cocktails balanced. Definitely worth another meal and a stay in the hotel. read more
Just come here already! There was a reason why my group of friends and I decided to stay here the entire afternoon and evening instead of making our dinner reservation at RosaNegra. We had ordered a couple of pitchers of margaritas that came in a good amount of flavors: watermelon, mango, strawberry, and passionfruit. The mixed ceviche was so good we just kept the orders coming! The octopus and shrimp tacos were pretty tasty too, so don't sleep on them either. The best part about our time here though was our server, Cristian, who went above and beyond with the service to make our experience here the absolute best! He is a national treasure. Also, shoutout to the people who were keeping the beach area clean of the seaweed so that we could enjoy that gorgeous and refreshing water. read more
We stayed at La Zebra on a beautiful weekend in January 2021. With Covid in effect, the property overall is already socially distant friendly and mostly outdoors, so much less worry overall. The staff was also wearing masks across the resort. From the moment we arrived til our departure, the staff at La Zebra made our entire visit super enjoyable at every turn. I should note that between rooms, the ground is all sand. But the team had no issue insisting to help with bags and bringing them to our rooms. Our entire weekend the staff didn't bat an eye with almost any request we had. The rooms themselves are cozy, private, and very relaxing. I highly recommend sporting for an ocean view balcony for more privacy, as the majority of plunge pools are right in front of your room facing the ocean where families are many. (Looking for something intimate? Rooms feature dual showers! :-) ) Even when one of our guests needed to switch rooms mid-stay, it was very organized and super smooth. On the beach, lots of daybeds for guests and hammocks to relax in. Not to mention the Mulberry Project bar that can make you any drink your tastebuds desire and an amazing restaurant with solid tacos to boot. I'd definitely stay here again when visiting Tulum, or maybe try a sister hotel, too. read more

I loveddddd this place! It's such a nice chill vibe. We arrived 30min before lunch so we had to order drinks n wait to order food. As soon as lunch time hit Adan came n took our orders. They have access to the beach, but to sit on the beach hairs there is an order minimum that isn't too much. Food: I ordered the shrimp nachos and shrimp tacos. They were amazingggggg! It was soo good. The only thing is if u order a smoothie, it comes more like a juice instead of a thick drink. Service: Everyone was super nice and helpful. Our waiter Adan was wonderful! He answered all the questions, was super nice, and took food allergies into consideration. Def go there if you are in Tulum!! read more
Had the privilege of staying here and we had a blast. They made it special for our honeymoon and the staff and everyone here was so welcoming. Our room #1 had the best view and it was steps from the ocean. If you are a sensitive or light sleeper, maybe don't stay here bc you'll be hearing the waves pretty loudly. It didn't bother us at all and in fact helped us sleep to the healing sound of the waves. Coming from Chicago, it was always a dream to be steps from the ocean. It was so dreamy and romantic. The service is amazing and they spoil you. We randomly received tea, chocolates, cookies, and tequila just because. I love the sustainability concept of tulum and everything is so aesthetically pleasing. We were also welcomed with welcome drinks and had an amazing breakfast and massage on the beach. Pricey but worth every penny. It is in a great location and you can also rent bikes. They also have complimentary parking for guests! We can't wait to go back!!! I loved this place! We went here for lunch while visiting Tulum and it was all around great. The open air patio, the fresh ceviche and house made tortilla chips were all just perfect. We also grabbed bespoke drinks at the bar on the beach and the service and drinks were stellar. I highly recommend visiting. read more

Came here for a late breakfast. Coming from downtown, it was a bumpy ride but well worth the trip. Started off with drinks: Big Daddy - full bodied and just sweet enough Flora de Sandia - a nice kick, not too sweet, refreshing Anthony Quinn - cilantro is overpowering Beach Bliss Grabbed a snack (pastry with ham and cheese) to tide us over which was very rich. Our main dishes were all excellent: Cook's omelet w/ egg whites - moist, great presentation, very filling Burrito w/ egg whites - hearty and perfectly cooked Huevoes Rancheros - super savory, great presentation, over easy eggs cooked perfectly Ordered shots of mezcal to top off a great breakfast. Would definitely recommend this spot. Beautiful ambiance, great service, and delicious food and drinks. read more

Do not go to this restaurant. While the atmosphere is nice and the servers pleasant, the food is gross and the service is extremely slow. We had simple dishes such as shrimp and octopus. read more
This restaurant is located in the beach area, a little away from the busy area, and has its own parking lot right across the street.. Very convenient! I guess ...because the restaurant is located a little down south, it was not too busy when we came, although it was dinner time. We got a table close to the beach. It was very chillax-ing to have a drink, enjoy the beach wind, and watch the moon rise. Our server is very nice and friendly. The foods are tasty and Drinks are good! The prices are pretty much the same with food/drink prices in the States. We're in tourist area so no complaint. We came back the next day for lunch and beach swimming. The service was superb. Definitely will come back! read more
