If you're looking for authentic tacos in Tijuana, this taco spot is an absolute must visit…read more The asada, pastor, and everything is packed with flavor. What really sets this place apart is the outstanding customer service, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and treats every customer really nicely. The atmosphere is lively & outdoorsy, the prices are great, and the entire experience feels genuinely local and memorable. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, this taco stand delivers incredible food that will keep you coming back for more. It's cash only btw.

This was our very first stop after crossing the border into Mexico, and it absolutely lived up to…read morethe hype. It came highly recommended by both locals and fellow food lovers, and after seeing the incredible reviews, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. We ordered a little bit of everything: tacos de tripa, tacos al pastor, tacos de asada, and an asada quesadilla. Every single item was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The tripas were perfectly crispy without being greasy, the al pastor was juicy, well-seasoned, and had that classic balance of savory and slightly sweet flavors, and the asada was tender with a delicious char-grilled flavor. The asada quesadilla was generously filled with meat and gooey melted cheese, making it the perfect complement to the tacos. One thing I really appreciated was how convenient the ordering process is. They have a drive-through style setup where you simply pull up and park in front of the restaurant. An employee comes directly to your car to take your order, and once your food is ready, they bring it right out to you. It's such an easy and efficient experience, especially if you're eager to grab amazing food and get back on the road. It's easy to see why this place has earned such a stellar reputation. Between the authentic flavors, generous portions, friendly service, and convenient setup, this was the perfect way to kick off our trip into Mexico. I'll definitely be making this a tradition every time I cross the border.

Heard this place was v popular in Tijuana (and rivals Tacos el Gordo) so came to check it out!…read more I got the Adobada and Tripa tacos ($4.65 each). Wish I ordered 2 Adobadas instead. The tripa taco was fine.. but I wished it was a bit crunchier. Also the salsa on top is spicier than expected! They did give a good amount of tripa though. The Adobada was yummy, but I wished they had more meat on this one. Heads up, the guac is slightly spicy too. We really liked the tortillas here!

The first thing that drew me to Tacos El Franc was the atmosphere. The open-air patio, picnic…read moretables, string lights, and industrial-style setup gave it that casual, authentic taco spot vibe that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy a good meal. It looked like the kind of place where you could grab some tacos with family or friends and just hang out. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the expectations created by the ambiance. The only tacos that were actually worth eating were the Lengua tacos. Everything else was a letdown. The Suadero was EXTREMELY salty to the point it overpowered everything and we didn't even eat them. The Adobada was dry as hell(I ended up taking them home but threw them away), and my daughter said the Pollo Asado was just "okay," so that's what she ended up eating. I went in expecting a taste of the original and walked out wondering how they're even associated. If this is supposed to represent El Franc from Tijuana, they completely missed the mark. There is no fuckin' way this place is related to the legendary one in TJ. Save yourself the trip and go in with low expectations, or better yet, make the drive to TJ if you want the real thing. I was so disappointed that I didn't even bother asking for a refund for anything.
