Salsa was on Point. I ordered Barbacoa Tacos. Then my wife Ordered Tacos de Fajita. She had beef and chicken with Horchata. It was good. Customer Service was great. My coffee was great. They were cleaning. restrooms were Clean. I guess I was lucky this day. I read other comments and I'm blown away about the negetivity. Parking was great. I did have problems with my coffee refills but a simple maam, I would like a refill on my coffee quickly brought her over. First off I don't leave many reviews ever, but when I do it's for serious reasons. Please read these reviews seriously! I went by to get breakfast tacos here a couple of times on my way to work. 1. They are known to take 15-30 mins when I'm the only car in drive thru. 2. Twice I've repeated multiple times "bottle coke" "bottle Mexican coke" & they bring me out a fountain coke & looked confused on when I don't want it. Then are very slow at trying to fix the issue. 3. This morning was the last straw they charged me 5.20$ for limes cilantro & onions for 3 tacos..... that's more than the price of the taco... THEN they completly forgot to put it in the bag. So I turn around, & after arguing with them to get me my correct Coke beverage. I then had to argue with them about paying 5.20$.... for a couple limes and onions/cilantro. They refuse to give it to me unless I pay another 5.20$. I've read a lot of comments about this place willingly & knowingly charging people more & scamming them. Then when you bring it up unless you are extremely fluent in Spanish they tell you you're shit out of luck. Please I beg of yall to go literally to any other place for Mexican food. read more

Heading back to the airport we had two choices to eat before we left TX. This place or Taco Cabana. And I think this was a good pick. Food was fast, big portion and tasty. I ordered the carne asada plate so I can split my meal with my little girl. The carne asada was juice and tasty. She ate the beans and rice which she said was good. The hubs got the torta carne asada sandwich. Good stuff. But he said he had better. But good enough for being fast. Usually the faster it comes out they don't taste as good. That's just me. The water cups are humungous! I guess they don't want to come back and fill it up. That's one thing about TX I don't think they are in a drought. Place was not busy at all. Parking is right out the door. They also have a Bakery next door. Didn't go in tho. Employees are friendly. Bathroom clean and smelled like it was just cleaned. This was a place we chose to dine at while in Houston. We had a load (truck drivers) to take to an area near this restaurant. Wanting a good Mexican meal while out on the road this place I spotted on the frontage road of Interstate 10. I saw a nice big parking lot behind so I knew this was a do-able task. Eating on the road is riddled with fast food joints for the truckers which is not my "chosen dish". Having a huge taste for Mexican and it being my favorite cuisine I was overly joyed as I walked in. We were greeted with smiles, and escorted to a booth in a much crowded eatery. The locals seemed to be having a wonderful time with laughter and chattery all around. The menus were very well printed, and beautifully pictured with the dishes. The primary language on the menus in the food descriptions is Spanish with English to follow. A bit confusing but hey, we are in an authentic eatery. Okay. No problem! Here is where the problem began: our waitress struggled with the English language. When trying to place the order our waitress really did not understand what we were wanting. Instead of getting someone to help she continued to take our order. I was not fully aware at that time that she did not understand. It was when she brought out the dish (Shrimp Nachos) that I knew she did not. The dish had regular small shrimp that appeared to have not been seared or cooked covered in "cheddar" cheese. I know that Tex-Mex is different from other parts of the area but thought everyone in the midwest knew what "white (blanco) queso" was. It is not goat cheese, colby or mozzarella. And certainly not "cheddar". I opted for the street tacos and called it a day. My husband, on the other hand, was not the least thrilled with his dish either. He ordered the enchilada plate. He did not like the seasoning in the red sauce they used so he ate "nothing". Luckily they did not charge us for the Shrimp Nacho plate that was totally wrong. The tacos were good, meat seasoned well. The table salsa was something like I have never eaten. It appeared to be watered down. Not the consistency that I am use to having. Chips were not bad. Having eaten Mexican dishes from restaurants all over the US, I realize that each area has different styles. And I prefer more authentic to the American style of Mexican restaurants. So I am aware of the differences in select areas of the US. But to have flavors or dishes, even in the Texas area, differ that much? I am like confused! This was my first stop after flying into Houston with a taco craving. First of all, this place is huge but was fairly empty when we got there so we were seated right away. We ordered a couple of pork and steak tacos & a steak quesadilla. These were tasty but nothing spectacular. They also give free chips and salsa. Service was okay - we were only 2 of 8 customers in the whole restaurant yet somehow found it difficult to flag down a waiter for the check. Very Impressed for a first time visit. We were craving a delicious breakfast with great authentic flavors and we got it! They had something for everyone and we were able to order from the entire menu not just the breakfast menu. The only reason I have rated it 4 out of 5 stars is because the table was really dirty and sticky and so was everything in the table basket, i.e. sauces, salt & pepper and table number. A good wipe down is all I recommend. Otherwise, The food was served quick, hot and DELICIOUS!! The green sauce was amazing and the corn and flour tortillas were so fresh. We will be back for sure next time to try something different on their expansive menu!! Went to Taquerias Arandas to pick up breakfast, my total was $17.37 I left a tip of $2.63 for an even $20.00. I noticed there were two charges on my bank account - one for $17.37 and one for $20.00 I was under the assumption that the charge for $17.37 would fall off of my account. Needless to say $20.00 posted to my account as well as $22.37 ($17.37 +$ 5.00 tip) Who would leave a $5.00 tip for pick up in the drive thru? I went to the restaurant to let them know what happened. He offered me $3.00. I am confused as to why he offered me $3.00. I explained to him I was charged twice and the correct charge was $20.00 and would like a refund for the $22.37. This is the most legit Mexican food I've tasted in Texas. I'm pretty picky and I'm averse to what some Houstonians call "Mexican" food, and I must say this is the real deal. It passed all my tests for an authentic Mexican restaurant. First sign? It was easier for me to order in Spanish. Second sign? I was the only Asian person ordering in the restaurant. Yes, actual Mexican people eat here. That's a good thing. Third sign? The food tasted like it was made in abuela's kitchen. So good! A friend of mine describe the food as "obscure", but I highly disagree. Camarones a la Diabla and carne asada tacos tasted as they should. None of the food needed "cheese" and when I asked for spicy, I got spicy! Corn tortillas were available and exactly the right size - not these huge monstrosities you see in other restaurants. Tacos are flavor bombs, not mini burritos on flour tortillas. Go to Taco Bell if that's what you want. My litmus test for a good Mexican restaurant is their rice, salsa, and carne asada. The rice was flavorful and moist, and the carne asada had that beefy, mouth watering taste that can stand up to the salsa. The green salsa was tasty didn't dominate the food. The lemon was never corrected and also I had to asked for child's menu and had to wait on that. Finally we order our food and watch as people coming in after get their food before us.
