Had to wait when we got there but it was comfortable. Decor was beautiful and food was excellent. Will be back for sure.

Giving it a 1 star because this business charges you more for items than what the price on their menu. I ordered a molcajete de mariscos price on the menu was 47.99. However the restaurant charged me 57.99

This new eatery has opened in the space formerly occupied by a Chinese buffet restaurant and there is plenty of parking space in front along with the adjacent Walmart parking lot. I had lunch there over the past weekend. Inside this place is huge. Two large dining rooms with a small stage separating the two along with another area devoted to a large bar. When I visited and was seated I noticed a musty smell and wasn't sure where it was coming from. Also, while this is mainly a restaurant the Latin music being played was too loud in my opinion giving it almost a nightclub feel. The music was ok but just too loud. The restaurant has a large menu with most items of a Mexican theme but also offering pasta dishes and burgers. I ordered the chicken fajitas substituting charro beans for refried and homemade corn tortillas for $9.95! Yes that's right on the price and it's not a lunchtime special, it's the regular menu price. First to come out was a complimentary tostado in lieu of chips and salsa. Personally, I prefer chips and salsa but the tostado was still good. Also my ice tea was served in a large glass with no ice and I like ice. I flagged down the waiter to ask about this and then he brought me a glass of ice. He should have been aware that my ice tea had no ice in it when delivered. About 5 minutes later my entree arrived. The platter was full of small pieces of seasoned chicken along with plenty of red and green bell peppers and onions. I was pleased. The charro beans were tasty with a slightly creamy consistency and the 3 corn tortillas were thick and did a good job of holding everything together. They gave me a plate with rice, lettuce and two tomato slices but left off the guac and sour cream that is suppose to come with it. Two problems here. First, they only give you a fork to eat with so I had nothing to cut the tomato slices up into small pieces for my tortillas and they forgot the guac and sour cream. When I told the waiter about this about 5 minutes a person from the kitchen brought me a bowl full of sour cream and a large plate full of guacamole. It was enough for 5 or 6 people to use and therefore most of it was wasted. The bottom line here is that my meal was good tasting and represented an incredible value price wise. However they need to work out some of the kinks. The musty smell, loud music, no ice in the drink, missing guac and sour cream and then when it arrived most of it was wasted. I will give a 3 score overall and hope that as they are open longer that they get some of their shortcomings taken care of.

Loved the neatest of the food!!

Seafood is a bit different from your typical Mexican seafood but is very good and has a big variety menu. My favorite are the fish tacos here ask for the habanero salsa if you dare.. bar makes great mix drinks and it's also karaoke bar. Seen some incredible singers on Thursday nights. Plenty of room with a nice big bar

Not worth the money or time! This restaurant lacks taste. It proves my theory, bad sauce with the chips, bad food.

The servers are attentive and friendly, and they make sure that your water glass is filled. The garlic butter chicken wings are simply spectacular! The chicken wings are ginormous, the batter is light and crispy and the garlic butter sauce pairs so well with chicken. The salt and pepper squid was piping hot and the batter was also light and airy, and the calamari was cooked perfectly. The beef was pricey but absolutely worth it! The waiter asked how we wanted the cook on the beef, and the beef was a perfect medium rare. The meat was so tender and flavorful with an excellent char and the sauce was so flavorful. I really appreciate the abundance of vegetables that come with each dish and the portion sizes are quite generous. My diagnosis: come here for perfectly executed Vietnamese staples!

The food can be a bit pricey ($35 for bo luc lac, for example) but flavors are great overall and the service is also really good! It's not super high end in terms of decor but certainly well above average and pretty nice compared to the standard Vietnamese restaurant. (For example, yes to white table cloths, but they are layers of plastic.) My quick rapid fire recommendations: 1. Chicken wings - they are absolutely ginormous, amazing flavor, and totally worth the price though they seem expensive on the surface. 2. Fried calamari salt and pepper - delicious! I can't quite describe it ... a hint of funnel cake batter flavor? There's something quite special about this one and it's quite tasty. 3. Shaking beef (bo luc lac) - amazing! Ask for the beef to be medium rare as opposed to medium. Dip those beef chunks into the lime dipping sauce and oh my... you're in heaven. The service is also top notch and not your standard Asian restaurant level. Located off West Little York, close to 290 - it's a hidden gem in Northwest Houston not too far from the city. The space is bigger than you would expect so it's also great for large parties if you can reserve the space. Enjoy!

We ordered: - Fried Calamari - Fried Seafood Platter | Fried flounder, deviled crab, baby shrimp, fried oysters, jumbo shrimp The fried calamari was actually very good. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly salted. The fried seafood platter was very lackluster. Unlike the calamari, the batter was soggy. I ordered the "mambo shrimp" since it's apparently very popular, and got 20 instead of 10 because I was feeling pretty confident. First, they came absolutely swimming in a butter-type oil with big chunks of garlic and what looks like a fair bit of spices, but it somehow barely tastes of butter, garlic, or spice. It's confusingly bland. The shells were super soft and wanted to stick to the meat, which disintegrated into a paste as I was chewing. The shrimp hadn't been purged at all and the veins were THICK. Just a textural nightmare. The ... tartar sauce (?) that came with it was a 2 oz container only half-full, but it's fine because it wasn't great either. Runny and bland, with a whisper of lemon flavor in it. It got me halfway thinking I need to take a test because I seem to have lost my sense of taste. Sure did smell nice, at least. The highlight of the meal was the corn, but you kind of have to work hard to ruin corn. I powered through 6 shrimp with the help of my own cocktail sauce, seasoning, and tabasco, but then I gave up. As I'm not one to be too wasteful, I peeled the rest, rinsed whatever aura of flavor remained, and split them between my dogs (they actually rate it 5 stars, no notes.)
