THE BEST burrito supreme. And for the price?? It doesn't get much better. My go to place for their burritos because other places doesn't offer a supreme burrito for the price they do. Also it's gigantic and I never finish it so that's a plus. The only thing I wish they had was spicy guac sauce like Don Pedro's but other than that, their sauces are bomb & spicy. Really, really nice folks. Only taqueria I've been to in a while with full table service- though that might just happen when they're slow. I had two tacos, one pastor and one asada. Both were tasty, fresh and hot. The red salsa is the spiciest and my fav. Also tried the avocado salsa, nice if you want something milder. Had already discovered the red before I got to the tomatillo, so can't tell you about that one. Overall, I'd like to see this place do well. They're pretty hidden- I imagine they'd be way busier if they were easier to find. Will be back next time I'm in that neck of the woods. read more

After several trips here for breakfast burritos and tacos, this is my favorite little Mexican restaurant! Awesome staff! Awesome homemade sauses. Everything is great! I suggest you look past the exterior and take advantage of a great meal! Update: it's very unfortunate that this restaurant doesn't keep their hours of operation and you never know if they're going to be open or closed... They don't answer their phone! I was looking at the lady and she wouldn't even come to the door and tell me if she was going to open which I thought was very rude! I mean I drove out here from Boring Oregon because I like the food and I would expect at least get decent service and not be completely ignored that's very disrespectful! First time here today. We got tostadas, vegetarian burrito and 2 chicken tacos with rice and beans combo. Everything tasted really fresh and delicious! Mini chicken tacos definitely hit the spot. Absolutely wonderful service and nice people. The man at the counter was so helpful and got me a box for my large order and was totally gracious over the phone 15 minutes before they closed. I apologized it was a big and somewhat picky order but he was so nice and didn't mind at all that I kept them after closing. We get so used to people closing early and refusing service to those who come in near closing. I must say the people who love their customers are the ones I always go back to. There is never a good excuse for bad service or making a customer feel they are holding up the workers in that place of public eating. I waited tables many years ago as a single mom and customer service is where your money is. Highly recommend to Mexican food lovers everywhere!!! read more

Finally! Another tacos shop that meets the standard. Every shop I've visited, like No Pueblo, has had lackluster .... suspicious looking food. However, this place is one of 3 places I've been too that has a high quality meat standard, yummy tortillas, spicy salsas. You wouldn't know what to think of it when you first walk in, but the carne asada tacos are delish! Street style and perfect. Pair with a Jarrito and you're in taco heaven. Service is friendly and fast and the establishment is fairly clean. I'll for sure be adding this restaurant to my list of taco must haves in the area. read more

This restaurant serves GREAT food. Period. We have tried five or six Mexican restaurants in the Portland area. This is the only great Mexican food we have found. The place is not fancy, but the service is friendly and fast and the food is really excellent. There is a wide variety of authentic dishes. We stopped by for lunch yesterday. This is as authentic as it gets! Everything was made to order! It took a little while to get our orders but they were well worth the wait! The burrito my boyfriend got looked pretty good, and full filling, but I ordered the $6 2 tacos that comes with rice and beans, and it looked like they got a small scoop of beans and rice and spread it apart to look like more than what was there, which barely looked like enough in the first place and did not fill me up. Maybe if it were for my child it would be enough. I'd recommend just getting a burrito, or ask for more beans and rice without charge if it doesn't look like enough. My husband and I love this place! It has become a favorite on nights when I need to pick up dinner on the way home. The tacos are amazing! The ingredients are fresh, the flavors compliment each other well and I feel like I'm something way healthier than many other alternatives. And the price is very fair. We have tried the chicken, Asada and Chorizo. My husband recently branched off and tried one of their chicken burritos and that is is new favorite. The thing is huge! The owners are also very friendly and I always feel welcome. I do wish they had chips and salsa and would be happy to pay for it. But even if they never do, this will still be one of our favorite places to eat in Gresham and we will keep coming back! read more

My husband and I were looking for some delicious, authentic Mexican food, and Taqueria Santa Cruz did not disappoint. For $20 we got four asada tacos, a chili rellenos plater, a chicken huarache, and two drinks. The chili relleno, while not a very big portion, was cooked perfectly and had a very tasty, flavorful red sauce. My huarache was pretty good, not amazing. The chicken was sautéed with onions which gave it a nice, robust flavor. The beans were smokey...not burned...just smokey, which took a second to get used to, but filled out the flavor well. Now, the tacos...oh, boy, the tacos! The asada was tender and juicy, and full of flavor! They came out piping hot, with perfectly warmed tortillas, and very fresh cilantro and onion. They have a creamy, green sauce (maybe avocado/cilantro) to put on the dishes that was de-lish!! Great amount of kick! The service was super fast and friendly! I'm going with five stars. I decided to visit based on other reviews and am truly happy I did. I'm a street taco fan, but always have difficulty deciding which ones to get. So I got one of each since it was my first visit. All were really good, but if I had to rank my favorites (based on my palate), it would be lingua, carne asada, chorizo, al pastor, tinga and chicken. I only tried the green sauce and, for me, one plastic container was sufficient for all the tacos. Spice level was perfect. I understand from other reviews that the red is a little more spicy. All the tacos were topped with onion and cilantro. I added avocado and didn't use the slices of lime provided. Food was freshly prepared while I waited and the counter person was easy to work with. This places is the worse tacos ever . I'm a taco fanatic and this is for sure at the bottom of my list . I got 4 steak tacos and I was very disappointed. The meat was stringy , I asked for cheese they were not at all generous. Flavor ... nowhere to be found . I wouldn't suggest this place if you actually want to eat your food . I ate two bites of one taco and trash the other three . I had someone bring me Taco Bell because I had to work AND TACO BELL was amazing . If there's some secret to ordering her please tell me bc my food was gross and I just want good tacos read more

Hubby and I stopped in about 12ish after looking up a place to eat on Yelp. Tasty authentic food and good prices. I ordered Al Pastor tacos and they were really yummy. Hubby ordered a wet Al Pastor rice/beans burrito. Told they didn't have carne asada. The burrito was good but extra ingredients overwhelmed the taste of the meat . Service was slow. Came here looking for some good authentic tacos and that's what they delivered. The meat is nicely seasoned and they make their own sauces which were really good, since most places don't make spicy sauces that are spicy enough. If you like spicy the red sauce will hit the spot. The workers there are really nice as well. I wish it was closer to Oregon City but I'll be back if I come to this area. read more
