Vegetarian burrito with lots of icky lettuce.
    Carolina T.

My daughter ordered dinner for us on Mother's day.Everyone was happy with their order except me.I requested one vegetarian burrito with guacamole and lettuce on the side instead I got the opposite. Had to spend a great deal of time picking out every single strand of shredded lettuce out of my burrito. Not fun. Since this meal was delivered and ordered by someone else I didn't return it.

I had high hopes for this place. The service was so so. I think of we spoke Spanish, things would have gone better... Let's start with with the good first. The shredded and grilled Chicken was very good. That ships were fresh, and I believe homemade which made him very good. In addition, the bathroom was very clean. Now the not so good. As I mentioned earlier, that service was so so. The main reason for the three stars though I is that none of the food had flavor whatsoever so much so that and that I added salt to everything, and I rarely ever add salt to anything.

16 50 for this wow I might went on a bad time but holy sh... People do not go to this restaurant.

Ordered a simple burrito and he came out with this 16:50 for a jarrito and this wow People never go tho this type of restaurants

    Frozen margarita

We came here on a recommendation that they made good frozen drinks, as a little early birthday celebration. Walking in the door we were greeted and seated right away by the super friendly staff. The frozen margaritas did not disappoint!! Very good, and not too sweet. Between all of us we had the veggie fajitas, super nachos, chimichanga, and a tamale. Everything was hot and fresh, good quality, quantity and taste. To top the night off, we told our waiter we were celebrating a birthday. They bright over a sombrero and a birthday shot, and sang her happy birthday. Maybe we have no shame, but it was so much fun! We really enjoyed our dinner and everything else. We'll definitely be back.

These people served me a drink with a dead fly in it... and when i asked them to comp my meal ( just me and my sister)because now were both grossed out!! THEY COULD NOT PRODUCE THE MANAGER!!! We even waited for him. WHAT KIND OF MANAGER LEAVES IN THE MIDDLE OF DINNER RUSH @ 730PM? I EVENTUALLY I PAID AND LEFT GROSSED OUT AND PISSED. i really liked eating there, and would have enjoyed myself if it weren't for that expience. now i dont know if ill ever go back.

Arroz con pollo special and margarita, far plate is a enchilada and Taco. Perfect

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. We opted for the Dinner for Two, which we felt was a good value at $136 for six courses. The menu the night we visited included seasonal brassica, Tlayuda del Pacifico, Quesadilla Oaxaqueña, Tlacoyo, Birria, and a chocolate mousse for dessert. The meal was originally set to include seared seabass, but my partner asked if it could be swapped for the short rib. The kitchen was happy to accommodate, which we appreciated. There were some real highlights. The Tlayuda del Pacifico was my favorite savory dish of the night. Served on a crisp blue tortilla with hamachi, avocado, and pea tendrils, it felt light, well-balanced, and full of contrasting textures. I also really enjoyed the salsa macha that accompanied the quesadilla Oaxaqueña, it had great depth and flavor. The Tlacoyo, filled with chicken tinga and finished with tomatillo salsa, had good flavor as well, though it felt a bit heavy for me with the tamal-style base and crema. Dessert was another standout; the chocolate mousse was well done and a strong way to end the meal. The remaining dishes were good, but not especially memorable. My main critique was the pacing of the meal. Courses were coming out too quickly. At times, we were only halfway through one dish when the next arrived. For a tasting-style dinner, the pacing should feel more intentional and relaxed. When the kitchen moves too fast, it can take away from the overall dining experience. This is an area where reading the table better would really elevate the experience. Service overall was good and attentive, and the food itself was solid. Would we recommend it? Yes, especially for those looking for elevated Mexican cuisine that goes beyond the standard offerings. The Dinner for Two is a good value and worth trying. That said, there are a few execution details that would need refinement for us to be eager to return.

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. We ordered the bowl, one with carnitas and other with avocado. Both were very tasty! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh, the carnitas were tender and well seasoned. They also had a mango hot sauce brought to the table in a bottle that is amazing. I drenched my bowl with the sauce for the extra kick and flavor. The bowls are very filling. We ended up boxing up half of our food to bring home and finish for a late dinner. Would definitely come again and try their hot sandwiches. I have had some meals at the bar where the bartenders were genuinely engaged knowledgeable and happy to walk you through their agave list which only enhances the whole experience. I will be honest and say that the service can sometimes lean into the typical Portland vibe of aloof and uninterested but there have also been moments especially at the bar where the staff really shines and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Even with that quirk the overall experience is fantastic and it does nothing to take away from how much I enjoy eating here.
