    Taco salad-Happy Hour

I always love coming here. The food and drinks are both amazing and the service is always wonderful. Plus this time I was pleasantly surprised there was a weekday happy hour for food! The venue is huge so lots of space and accommodating for those with kids or large groups.

Pretty good Mexican in hillsdale. Chips and salsa was tasty. Got the Al pastor and fish tacos. Both plates were huge with a bunch of rice and beans and 3 good sized taco. Al pastor was tasty. Fish was a bit bland.

We judge a Mexican restaurant based on freshness of their salsa so Casa Colima gets HUGE tacos. Service from Jose was impeccable. Will come again next time in the neighborhood.

This place is truly amazing. Love the service here. Ambience is tranquil. Lights are dimmed. Food comes good size portions. Super delicious. Guacamole is fresh. Drinks are so yummy.

The hefty Pollo Asado Salad - lots of good stuff here.

I really wanted to give this local spot 4 stars, but since I live in the neighborhood I feel like I'm already biased, so I'll just say the food - while coming out in hefty portions and served nice and warm - is pretty much average, with a lot of creamy beans on the side and heavily sauced entrees. That said, every meal I've had here is super satisfying and a good bang for the buck, if that's your thing, and I have kept coming back for years cuz I love the cheerful, unpretentious ambiance ...and the service is just straight up genuinely awesome. You see a lot of familiar faces here, and it has a great, family-friendly neighborhood feel so the three different areas - main dining room, bar area and outdoor patio - are usually fairly busy. Plus the endless baskets of tortilla chips and salsa do not hurt! Pro tip #1: the Pollo Asado Salad is a winner. Huge portion with lots of perfectly grilled meat and a nice rack of avocado slices. Pro tip #2: Don't believe the menu - these are not the best margaritas in town. Mine came out of a gun, which in my book warrants an instant demerit.

Very kind and thoughtful wait service. The food was hot and fresh. My only critique would be the rice was a tad overcooked and the enchiladas could have been seasoned slightly more. The Jamaica "Mezcarita" was incredibly well balanced and boozy! My spouse got a birthday dessert which was a fried cheesecake, that was so creamy and fried to perfection. The ambiance alone would make us return, natural lighting with pops of color from the interior decor. I look forward to coming back!

Casa Colima has become our go-to! Long day? Casa Colima. Weekend relaxation? Casa Colima. A mangonada with some guacamole and queso at the bar top will make all your problems go away for a little while. Service has always been a 10/10.

We went here for my Birthday on the way out of town. All of our food was PHENOMENAL! Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. We went right at 5pm and we most definitely beat the rush. Our server was amazing, the other wait staff were helpful, and the restaurant was very comfortable overall. The decor is absolutely beautiful inside. The walls, tables, and chairs were all beautiful. Music was inviting and just the right volume to talk amongst ourselves. We will absolutely be going back! PS: Get the Flan... Possibly the best Flan I've ever had in a restaurant. It was exactly how it should be... Thick & Creamy texture cooked perfectly and not scorched at all. Most restaurants Scorch their Flan and it's almost spongy on top. Nobody wants that. This was the perfect flavor and texture from top to bottom and it was a big portion. If you are full, get it to go!

Everything you would want in a family night out for Mexican food. Music, soccer on tv, bright walls and decorations, friendly staff, good prices, and a bull sitting on a bench out front for photographs. Kids menu with the normal chicken tenders, mac n cheese for those unadventurous kiddos and strong drinks for mom if needed. Bring your appetite and try not fill up on free chips and salsa.

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. I have had some meals at the bar where the bartenders were genuinely engaged knowledgeable and happy to walk you through their agave list which only enhances the whole experience. I will be honest and say that the service can sometimes lean into the typical Portland vibe of aloof and uninterested but there have also been moments especially at the bar where the staff really shines and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Even with that quirk the overall experience is fantastic and it does nothing to take away from how much I enjoy eating here.
