    Tacos with lengua

I did a DoorDash delivery and I'm starting to think that from looking at the reviews , yall really like salt. Because good gosh. BURRITO WAS SALTY . The taco was good, but $4 for a small street taco? Dude... come on. And it didn't even come with any sauce . Burrito on the other hand was big, and filled with a lot of meat and rice , was able to share it with my roommate... however whatever sauce it came in was sooo salty we couldn't eat it. Unless the saltiness was coming from me? Cuz i do be salty... nah it was the burrito.

    Carne Asada Burrito Supreme

Came here on a Friday night as it was close to where I live and wanted to discover that amazing place that just doesn't get enough attention. The food was made quickly; done within 5 minutes of calling our order in. They do accept credit cards! I may be a bit biased, growing up with Mexican food living in Southern California, but I wasn't all too impressed with the quality of the burrito. The flavors of the carne just didn't make a huge impact for me and the flavors of the guac, rice, and beans were a bit bland. The quantity of the burrito was very generous, and the proportions of ingredients within the burrito was good as well. Overall, a decent burrito, but just left me feeling demanding a bit more.

Incredible breakfast burrito spot Inexpensive menu, unassuming taco stand spot (a pro to me), and friendly staff. In a parking lot so no real seating outside of some picnic benches but a great to-go option

    Carnitas burrito supreme

First time trying El Jalisco. The food truck looked solid from the outside and the staff were friendly. I ordered the supreme carnitas burrito. It was ready pretty quickly And I was home eating in 15 minutes. The burrito was big but not absurd. There was a good balance of meat, beans, rice, guacamole and sour cream. Good taste but not as much seasoning to the carnitas as would prefer. Still a solid burrito!

    Vegetarian Burrito Mojado. Yum!
    Michelle R.

I love this place! This is my go to for dinner when I'm too lazy too cook. I just call the number, place my order, and it'll be ready 5-10 minutes. I have only been ordering "vegetarian burrito mojado." Only "vegetarian burrito" is on their menu but if you like your burrito wet, just add to your order the word "mojado." The sauce is super spicy so just a heads up. I eat the spicy sauce with tortilla chips. Even though I have to do a U turn to get to SW 26th from Barbur Blvd. coming fron north bound, it's worth it. That's the fastest way to get there. Street parking is available. There's a parking lot for the business complex which you can use also. They accept cash, debit card and credit card. There are two picnic style tables available.

    Al Pastor burrito
    Jason C.

I was introduced to this place by a friend. I got the al pastor burrito, and it was impressively fresh. It's definitely no frills and authentic. The guacamole was chunky and had perfectly ripe pierces of avocado. The al pastor itself was a little salty for my taste. However, with that said, I demolished the whole thing and was quite happy with it. Look forward to trying some other things in the future.

Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. Today my wife and I enjoyed scrumptious Tacotes, one chicken and one Bok Choy with house made salsa. Extra side of yummy and creamy black bean frijoles with sour cream, butter, tortillas. Instead of desert, the Mezcal, chile and lime was refreshing. Yes, the food plated looks so good, I am inspired to dig in. There's a reason it was recognized early in its start by Eater, Portland Monthly and the Oregonian as one of the best restaurants in the city because foodies seek out and love to go where the food experience is special - especially the chef tasting menus in the past. I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. By the time we left around 6 PM, the dinner rush had started and a line was forming at the door. The interior is well decorated, modern, and clean. The server was friendly and service was fast. We ordered the bowl, one with carnitas and other with avocado. Both were very tasty! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh, the carnitas were tender and well seasoned. They also had a mango hot sauce brought to the table in a bottle that is amazing. I drenched my bowl with the sauce for the extra kick and flavor. The bowls are very filling. We ended up boxing up half of our food to bring home and finish for a late dinner. Would definitely come again and try their hot sandwiches. I have had some meals at the bar where the bartenders were genuinely engaged knowledgeable and happy to walk you through their agave list which only enhances the whole experience. I will be honest and say that the service can sometimes lean into the typical Portland vibe of aloof and uninterested but there have also been moments especially at the bar where the staff really shines and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Even with that quirk the overall experience is fantastic and it does nothing to take away from how much I enjoy eating here. If you are in Portland and love great tortas bold flavors and exciting drinks Guero is absolutely worth a stop.
