    Pulling up to the window
    Andrew C.

I do a once or twice a week visit to the drive through for my breakfast burrito. It's convenient, the window lady is always kind, and the burrito itself is serviceable; not in my Top 3, but still good enough to grab one pretty consistently in my rotation. They're a decent size, but I usually find the egg/potato/bean proportions are too stacked toward the latter two ingredients, though some days the cook will surprise me with a killer burrito, fluffy eggs and all. A solid neighborhood joint, nothing special but still in my mix.

    Bacon Breakfast Burrito

Man o man, this place is incredible. From the service to the food to the atmosphere, it's all so great. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito with the green salsa. The egg and potato were cooked very well and they meshed with the bacon perfectly. Overall this was one of the best breakfast burritos i've ever had. Don Pedro's is easily a place I will find myself taking the long drive for, it's just that good.

My single enchilada, as just 1, not (3) like advertised a shown on the menu for $9.95 but for $16.95... one small enchilada..

Absolutely a scam overcharge and under deliver. After seeing the enchilada Rojos plate online for $ 9.95 I thought yeah that would be a good one (3) enchiladas, rice and beans for 10 bucks not a bad deal. So I drive over and pull up to the menu and what do I see? Nope, not $10 but 16$ for the same thing... But no, once I get home and open the box, what do I see not three enchiladas but just (1) that's singular. So they upped the price by $6.50 and took away two enchiladas off the plate ... what the fuk... just wanted to update the review so you can see the other 3 enchiladas plate as it is shown on the menu.

    Teeny tiny baby taco....

Drove through with high hopes - ordered one taco which at other places is a good small lunch - the person taking the order said "only one?" - well I picked it up at the drive through and it was tiny - truly tiny as you can see from the pick - and I don't have a monster hand! I will not be back

this is what they are selling nasty

the service is ok but the food wtf is bad taste they use a gallon of oil is disgusting won't ever come back to this place again horrible horrible food wow

    Veggie Burrito
    Gemma H.

Picked up some take out for the first time from this spot, it was easy, quick, and service was friendly. I got the veggie burrito and a side of guacamole. Veggie burrito was MASSIVE and full of unexpected veggies like mushroom, zucchini, and carrots and was super tasty. Especially with the addition of the guac which was fresh and delicious. We shared chips and salsa and a cheese quesadilla. Simple but good. My partner got a chimichanga with steak (which I also tasted) and we both enjoyed. Will definitely be getting some quick and tasty Mexican from here again.

    Burrito de carne asada.

This review is a little late, since I've been eating here for about 4 years. Last night, we ordered the carne asada plate, carne asada burrito and the torta milanesa (breaded steak sandwich). The items weren't up to par, but we figured it was because we showed up 15 minutes to closing. My husband did call them and let them know the issues we had with our meal and they offered us credit towards our next purchase. On most visits, I order the Birria plate. Birria is a typical dish from Jalisco, Mexican and typically made with goat or mutton meat, but I'm certain they're using beef because it lacks the gamey taste of goat or mutton. They serve it with rice and beans, flour or corn tortillas and a garnish of chopped onion and Serrano peppers. Another one of my favorites is their tacos dorados, which are rolled tacos with either chicken or beef. They are generous with the meat, so you don't feel like you're eating only corn tortilla. It comes with a garnish of lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole. I don't care for their guacamole (to watery), so I ask for a substitute of sour cream. My daughter always orders carne asada burrito. It's a very simple burrito. Beans, rice and meat. So if you're looking for sour cream and guacamole, I think that's extra. They do make really tasty salsas. The green and roasted are my family's favorite. I will say I don't care for their menudo (tripe soup). They don't put hominy and to me that's just abnormal, since I grew up eating it with hominy. One last recommendation, if you're going through the drive-thru, and ordering a lot of food, check your order before driving away. They have made mistakes and it's an annoyance to get home and discover they forgot to add an item. Anyway, they are consistent, not my mom's or grandmothers (or my) home cooked Mexican food, but it suffices.

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. I have had some meals at the bar where the bartenders were genuinely engaged knowledgeable and happy to walk you through their agave list which only enhances the whole experience. I will be honest and say that the service can sometimes lean into the typical Portland vibe of aloof and uninterested but there have also been moments especially at the bar where the staff really shines and makes you feel welcome and taken care of.
